They have stepped their game up like no other and the young gentleman who took my order was so professional and polite and just all around amazing at customer service, I was blown away. He gave me really good portions and was very patient and helpful. I got the build your own bowl with the noodles and kale salad. For my veggies, I did brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes, which were absolutely incredible. My proteins were teriyaki and lemon chicken, both of which were cooked to perfection. It was the most beautiful bowl I've ever received, and it was so delicious. Pro tip you can combine the pesto sauce with the tomatoes on the side and have a little dipping tray and it's amazing. The restaurant is always vibrant and clean and there's lots of seating for small and big parties alike. Considering the ball only cost $12 and tasted incredibly. I wanted to try their RainBol and asked if I could split the jasmine rice base into half rice, half kale salad. The answer came back no as it's only one base for that price. Okay. I get it. Next, I clarify the chimichurri sauce doesn't have cilantro. (Cilantro is my kryptonite). The line gal doesn't know - so she asks a line cook. Line cook 1 is gabbing with line cook 2 - they have to be actively interrupted. Yes, the tomatoes have the devils parsley - cilantro. So I can't eat that and ask for a substitute. Holay Molay! I've enjoyed Bolay so many times in the past. It can still be good, however, I have problems with their food NOT BEING HOT!!! This happens at other locations too. It would be 5 stars if they could just consistently serve hot food. When you "walk the line" to build your bowl, it all looks amazing in these wide shallow serving vessels, but there's so much surface area exposed to the air. They recently (early 2023) re-did how you order with the bases and greens, but I think you can mix and match in the bowl. I don't have a Ph. D so you'll have to order at your own risk. With that being said, you can get some really good stuff. The sweet potato noodle/power bean combo really does it for me. I'll add chicken or tofu with some kind of sauce that almost goes with everything. Their shrimp is good too. It's also pretty Vegan and Gluten Free friendly. Their Allergen Guide on their website is one of the easiest to read! It's a good option, but it's not quite the game of Hot or Not that I want to play. The only problem is I don't believe they have nutrition information posted anywhere yet; at least not when I checked last, which is surprising because the type of people that would go here are very interesting macros. every time I've been there the food is always fresh and super flavorful. I normally get the large bowl with sweet potato and cilantro noodles as my base. I get the balsamic mushrooms, power beans and I get the lemon chicken as my protein.
