We were in the mood to try the new Bojangles chicken sandwich as we are ever on the quest to sample each sandwich in the great "Chicken Sandwich Wars". I'd honestly never eaten at a Bojangles though I have tried their breakfast biscuits at a few events in the past. I saw this particular location had better than average ratings regarding cleanliness which is why we opted for it. And the reviews were correct. This was a spotless, clean, new restaurant with friendly staff and fast service. The chicken sandwich is good, too. Really great spice to it, crispy, and flavorful. On a warm bun and you can "club" it with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Fries are surprisingly good too, wedge style with good spice. All in all, Bojangles chicken sandwich slots on my list of the best chicken sandwiches below Popeye's (but still worth trying), perhaps equal to KFC and well, well above Chicfila. I have no idea why it took a fast food chicken restaurant this long to add a chicken biscuit to their breakfast menu (whereas sausage used to be the only option) and a chicken sandwich to their lunch menu (whereas fish used to be the only option). Not a big fast food person, but when you are wanting a quick breakfast biscuit, this place hits the spot. Their biscuits are consistently good at this place, and the staff here is always nice and get my order right, even when throw a curve ball. Mainly have had their breakfast here. I'm not a fan of their coffee, so in the past have taken my own, but their breakfast biscuits are good, sweet biscuits and potato rounds. The drive thru experience is horrible- the speaker is muffled and does not have a screen to see your order. I took my wife to a local eatery, Bojangles Chicken, up at Nippers Corner. When we last ate there six years ago, the place was dreary and the chicken was worse.We gave them another chance and how Bojangles has changed! First, the place has ditched the old, tired look and now shows warm, bright colors. I ordered the meal with a drumstick and two thighs. Would it be the hard, practically unseasoned chicken of before? No! The fry on each piece was well seasoned and had a kick to it. The meat was warm and tender, just as well-cooked fried chicken should be. My side was mac & cheese. It was first rate for a fast food place. One of their freshly baked, buttermilk biscuits came with my meal,It was so good , I could return just for a plate of biscuits and gravy. My health conscious wife was so disgusted after our earlier visit that she vowed never to return. Although she avoids fried foods, she admitted that this meal was a lot better than the food on her last visit. Now to rate this Bojangles. The chicken was moderately spicy, not Nashville Hot Chicken hot. It tasted just like home-cooked chicken. Yummy. Ive been meaning to leave this review for a long time. This Bojangles is THE BEST in the entire Nashville and surrounding area. I live right down the road so it's an easy go-to spot for me when I'm looking for good chicken. When you go to this Nippers Corner location, you will never be disappointed. I've lived here about 2 years now and have been to the Bojangles probably close to 30 times. Day or night, there could be zero customers in the store or the drive thru, and this spot is always steaming hot fresh. All the workers are super nice and the speed they do it doesn't even seem possible. They absolutely deserve a raise for the work they do and the quality they're delivering this stuff. Can't wait to go here again and it's so nice to see a place that cares about the quality and a price that, in these days, blows damn near every other chain out of the water for what you're getting. Ordered 3 piece meal with biscuit only today. It was horrible. The chicken crust tasted burnt, like it was fried in old oil. The cheese biscuits are nasty with two much garlic. I've been wanting to try Bojangles for a while now and while in town, my boyfriend and I dropped by. I would say it's similar to Popeyes, they both have spicy and regular tenders. What I liked best was the diet Mountain Dew, which wasn't really part of the chicken experience but this is the first place I've been to that has it so I was super excited. Besides that, the chicken was okay, wasn't super hot, and the fries were also okay. I think I would've enjoyed it more if the meal was fresh and hot. read more

Not too long ago, I ripped Gus's off of Old Hickory Blvd. up one end and down the other. I then suggested that, once the Bojangles opened, that would be a better choice. I was in the area, and it occurred to me that I had better check my assumptions if I was going to make such a statement, that I had better consider it worth eating at myself, to at least maintain some level of consistency. So I got a two piece dark snack with a biscuit. And it was all right. Don't get me wrong: significantly cheaper, more consistent, and less of a hassle than Gus's. But it was just all right for friend chicken. It was tender and juicy, and had some heat, but not much. But it was kind of bland otherwise. The biscuit was fine. Just OK. I have no hesitancy recommending Bojangle's over Gus's. Gus's is an embarrassment to Nashville (but it's a Memphis establishment, so that's not a surprise), and since Bojangles was decent, it's several steps above Gus's. If you like Hot Chicken, this is all right, and wont do you wrong if you're in the area. But there are other places in Nashville that are better. So don't feel like you have to make the trip. read more

Went on the 4th of July and found out they don't get holiday pay...boo! Cashier was very friendly and took our order quickly and efficiently. I love their biscuits so I typically order a bacon and cheese biscuit with seasoned fries and a sweet tea. I've gotten that from this location several times and it's always good! The seasoned fries are usually good here as is the sweet tea. I've been in this location a couple times and tonight has been the best customer service I've ever received at any bojangles! I went to the one in La Verge TN about a month ago they had no chicken it was about 7:00 Pm dinner time. You would think they would have chicken at dinner time. I had to wait bout 20 minutes. Once I got my chicken I had mostly chicken wings in a 20 piece box and when I got home I did not have my biscuits that were suppose to be in my bag. Today Jan 17 2019 I went to the same store at 7:20 pm I ordered a 20 piece box they only had 15 pieces of chicken. I ask to speak to the manager and told her of my last visit and ask why at dinner time she had no chicken. She was very rude to me and said the cars before me had taken all the chicken. I ask was it not her job to make sure she had chicken.(I had been a chicken store manager in the past) she slammed the drive thru window very hard in my face.I really like there chicken but they need to get managers that know how to manage. read more

This Bojangles is surprisingly excellent! I'm not a big fan of fast food, but the food that I've gotten here has always been hot and delicious. There's always a couple minute wait at the drive thru (which I consider a good thing!) but the food comes out steaming and fresh. Everyone that works there is friendly and goes out of their way to make sure that you have a great experience. We decided to try the new Bojangles in Hermitage this morning and ordered 2 orange juices, a chicken biscuit combo with added cheese, and a bacon, egg, and cheese combo at 6:30 a.m. We received two frozen orange juice boxes, a chicken biscuit that was not fully cooked- without cheese, and our hash browns smelled and tasted like onion rings. Biscuit - Great Cajun Filet - Good Seasoned Fries - Good Sweet Tea - Very Sweet I have only had breakfast at Bojangles. The biscuit is a generously sized ensemble of flour, butter, and flaky goodness. It's a stellar biscuit with a buttery crust with soft and flaky innards. The Cajun Filet of chicken was supposedly spicy. I liked the flavor, but it didn't have a serious kick to the level of heat. Instead of potato rounds, I opted for Seasoned Fries that come dusted with some cajun seasoning. The natural cut fries were really good and the seasoning was great. The Sweet Tea was spot on for what Southerners expect for their favorite import. The tea was strong and the level of sweetness over the top. This remodeled location used to house the Schlotzky's Deli. You order at the cashier next to a large cafeteria style set up. It appears that during lunch and dinner service you can see the various chicken and sides offerings on the hot bar. I like the set up. The fact that Bo's is across the street from Gus' Fried Chicken could erupt a wonderful Fried Chicken War in the area. Now, if I could only get a Nashville Style Hot Chicken place to open in the area...we'd be in great shape! The drive-thru set up could be the worst set up in Nashville. The drive thru was not busy at 8am, but what little traffic it had almost eliminates the usability of the parking lot. I've already planned when I go to lunch at Bo's that I will park down near Las Palmas and walk to Bojangles to avoid the poor planned drive-thru. read more

We visited Bojangles for the first time on 11 June. We tried the chicken, the biscuits, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, dirty rice and pinto beans. The last item was the worst: a pasty, unappetizing mess with no flavor (I took two bites and gave up). The rice was glutinous and flavorless. The green beans were canned, of course; the potatoes were of the instant variety. The chicken was nothing special; the breading was crisp but also had little flavor. The whole experience was vastly inferior to Popeye's Chicken. Since they are located across the street from the best chicken in Nashville (Gus' Fried Chicken), I do not expect Bojangles to last long. read more
