Omg!! Their spicy chicken sandwich is top tier! It's above Chick-fil-A. That says a lot! The restaurants employees were super nice and inviting! I want to recommend this place if you like chicken sandwiches. One of the ladies informed me they use real chicken breast. Try it out, I promise you wont be disappointed!! My taste buds thank you Pollo Campero!!

Pollo Campero is an extremely popular chicken chain among Latinx, and everyone should give it a try! When I went to a location in Illinois it was packed and there was a long line. My friend told me this Nashville location seems busy every time she passes by it. On a Saturday night there was a short line at the register. Everyone was ordering in Spanish and employees were speaking Spanish and English both which is cool. I had a two piece combo. I like this place because they have sides like rice, plantains and yuca fries- something different than American chicken restaurants. Because of the high volume of to go orders, my dine in order took about 10 minutes but I think it's reasonable. Their fountain drinks also include horchata and Jamaica! How fun. I tried mango drink. The seasoning of the chicken is so addictive. Chicken is so juicy. It's just better than any other and I understand why it is so popular. Please try their chicken and you won't regret it.

I definitely give this place a solid A. Imagine El Pollo Loco and Popeye's had a child. That's what this place was like. The food was great. The service was great. The fried chicken is amazing. Great seasoning.

Awesomeness place great for the family The food is good and plentiful they deliver the Food to your table as well with a smile they have Ice cream and its fully air conditioning they also Clean your table afterwards

3 piece fried chicken was very good, rice was okay and tortilla seemed very old.

Thank God the chicken was good because the first bite I had was of the coleslaw side (which was flavorless) and the tortillas were very old and dry so I was pretty disappointed at first but the tasty citrusy and juicy chicken made it all worth it. My husband thought the same. The grilled and fried chicken were both very good.

My partner and I visited on a Friday evening around 7:30pm and it wasn't overly crowded (it was also raining...so take that into account). I ordered a pork/cheese pupusa along with a carne asada baleadas. The Pupusa was served with all the typical staples: slaw in a HUGE container and the hot sauces. They came out hot and fresh with the perfect blend of soft, flavorful inside and crisp exterior. This was my first time trying baleada, a popular El Salvadorian comfort food. It was very satisfying and quite large: a soft flour tortilla with refried beans, eggs, and meat. The star of the show (aside from the Pupusa) was the beef tacos. These were flavor bombs with a nice char on the meat. Will order again. The staff was friendly and their offer their menu in Spanish and English. The kitchen is open, and you can see the staff working hard on your meal after you order. This is now added to my list of staples in Nashville. Looking forward to being a frequent visitor.

Located in a relatively nondescript little building off of Nolensville Pike, a little past K&S Market, Laura's can be easy to miss. There's a dedicated free parking lot (which, admittedly could use some upkeep) in the back of the building. The inside is no frills but very clean and with friendly, attentive service. I came on a Sunday at peak lunch time and it was pretty sparse but slowly started filling up a bit. One main waitress took my order. I wanted to try a little bit of several things so got queso dip, authentic chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, a chicken Gordita, and a side of their hot sauce. As expected you get complimentary chips and salsa. These were tasty, went well with the perfect, drippy queso to start off the meal. The tacos were next: simple but very flavorful. Chicken and shrimp topped corn tortillas with finely chopped red onion, cilantro, snd crumbly delicious cotija cheese, served with wedges of lime and their hot sauce. These were awesome, very authentic, perfectly cooked, and tasty. The hot sauce was pretty spicy but also quite flavorful - it's a must order! The real standout of the meal was the Gordita. Even one is quite large. It was stuffed to the brim with refried beans, chicken, lettuce, and cotija. I added salsa and hot sauce. It mostly held together despite being so stuffed but was so, so delicious. The homemade masa flour covering was still hot from cooking when it came to me and exactly what I was craving. I was honestly too full to try more, but already thinking about my next visit. They've got a decent selection of Mexican items as well as some Honduran and Salvadoran specialties. Very reasonable prices and awesome, attentive service. A must try fit authentic Mexican in Nashville!

The fajita nachos are one of my fave nachos in all of Nashville. The queso in the nachos is perfectly mixed into the dish and the peppers complement the steak perfectly. The Jamaica is very delicious and fresh. The quesadillas are toasted just right and have a saltiness to the flour that helps the quesadilla be a star. The service is good, but a little too on top of us. I'm a slow eater and I don't like to feel rushed and the server asked like 5 times if we were good and if I needed a to go box. I just wanted to peacefully eat my nachos in the restaurant. The inside is pretty big and they do play sports on the TV.

(Please note....they do not accept reservations, but I stopped in to check the space available, then called the day before our event. They were most accommodating.) To begin...do not rely on your GPS to take you to the front door...and...be well prepared if you go at night. The restaurant is located in the Crescent Valley Shopping Center, a strip mall spread out behind buildings that line Murfreesboro Pike. Your GPS will probably indicate you have arrived somewhere on Murfreesboro...but don't be fooled, it's around the back of AutoZone, Walgreens, and King Buffet...across the parking lot from Family Dollar. There are no lighted signs to show the way...and it's a narrow entrance squeezed in between several other stores. The restaurant is owned by a family from Honduras. Grandma cooks at lunch and mama takes over for dinner while the males in the family, including son Chris, wait tables etc. By the way, Chris was super-nice and very helpful. Service for our large group, while polite, was a bit inconsistent; at times we had to ask for silverware or help decipher whose order was being delivered. Since they have a small kitchen (see the photos I posted) ALL HANDMADE food comes out one or two items at a time...and that doesn't mean all will be the ones you ordered. If you have a large group, relax and enjoy each others' company. ¡Tome una cerveza! The food: Here's a bright spot. The food is definitely traditional family recipe, personally prepared dishes. Not fast food, not restaurant food...family dinner kinds of dishes. Many of us ordered the Balladas...a thick, flour tortilla grilled, filled with beans, sour cream, Honduran cheese (Sencilla style). I had the Con Todo style filled with beans, cream, cheese, avocado and ground beef. It was great! This was the kind of food I remember from my travels in rural South America. (Take me back, country roads, paths and jungle trails!) I also enjoyed a portion of a Tajada, a full plate lined with fried green plantain chips, cabbage salad, ground beef and shredded cheese...another tasty bite. The Platano Maduro with Honduran Cream was fairly sweet but pretty oily. Everything seems to be served with Honduran cream! Prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for authentic, rustic, family-style cooking, everything handmade...give this place a try. The menu is not great, but adequate for a short trip to Centra America for a day.

Everything from the chips and salsa to the main entrées are on point. The pico de gallo is real fresh and tasty. Everything is fresh cooked to order. Particularly, I recommend the fresh pupusas. Perfect flavors and not greasy at all. I can't rave enough about it. Boss man raved about his chimichanga with tomatillo sauce. He was so happy he even ate avocado. He doesn't usually eat avocado!! He also tried the fresh beef taco and thought he was tasting stuff he hasn't had since San Diego. As for me, the carnitas was refreshingly good. Pork was cooked beautifully and the combo of rice beans salad and pico was unbeatable. The portions are extremely generous that we both took product home with us.
