Great rapid service, food was yummy, good beats but this place has to upgrade the restroom asap!!!! Bathroom was leaking so floor was very slippery garbage can was dirty and stained all around and there was no soap. It seems that's not their priority to maintain a bathroom but it speaks a lot about their establishment. I hope they can fix that soon so it can become a 5 star in my opinion.

No wait for Monday dinner. Service was good and food came out quickly! Music was a little bit louder though but it's okay. Ingredients were fresh and soup was tasty. You get complimentary little cups of chia yuzu drink when you pay.

Let me start off by saying that the food was plentiful for the price and we went for my friend's birthday so it was worth it. The amount of food u get is definitely filling and when they let you pick hot. It is definitely spicy. The beef is my go to because the broth just warms me up and has the savoriness that i am looking for.

My family and I went during a dinner rush and they had a tablet for waitlists and to check in. The wait wasn't too long and we were seated quickly. I have not been to a boiling point in probably 10 years and it has changed significantly to my knowledge. They've really improved the quality and taste of their soup. (I went to the Fremont one). It was so tasty and I just love their broth and all the additions you can get. As a soup lover, this place hits the spot.

#8 Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup (the spicy paste is hidden under the protein)

I usually go to Tasty Pot, but this time I wanted to try something new and decided on Boiling Point instead. The prices between the two are very similar, though Boiling Point runs just slightly higher. That said, the portion size at Boiling Point is noticeably larger, so you do get more for what you pay. I ordered the Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup with the default spice level (Flaming). The broth was definitely spicy, but it had a lot more depth and flavor than I expected. It leaned a little on the sweeter side, which balanced the heat nicely. Compared to Tasty Pot, which I find to be spicier overall, Boiling Point's broth feels more layered and flavorful. Tasty Pot brings strong heat, but sometimes it's just spicy without as much complexity behind it. It's honestly hard to pick a clear winner purely from a flavor standpoint, but I do think I slightly prefer Boiling Point overall. As for the complimentary drinks, the green tea tasted a bit watered down, while the wintermelon tea was quite sweet. My hot pot was a generous portion that I ended up having it for both dinner and leftovers later. Overall, Boiling Point left a strong impression, and I'd definitely consider going back when I'm craving a hearty, flavorful spicy hot pot. Note: parking in this plaza is very crazy~

Boiling Point, taste so fucking good, always look forward to enjoying it, had it yesterday but having it again today since it's th 15th for double membership points. Placed phone order and during pick up it was busy as usual, but straight to register for pick up. Miss "Phuong" rang me up and I asked to give her my phone number to take advance of double point and she's asks "why? What for?". I explained to add to my membership and she asked "do you already have an account or need a new one?". I said yes and she seemed annoyed. I paid and she says "next time tell me before hand". Okay miss Phuong, I know yall busy but what's with the attitude, woosah, don't be a b, and take a chill pill

Been here twice and I have to say it's been consistent every time. The portion is great and speedy service. Totally worth it. I came during lunch time and got the hot pot with a free drink (choice of green tea or black tea). I think next time I'll try the black tea. Note that the teas are not sweeten. Although I would have liked it on the sweeter side. I ordered the spicy tangy beef appetizer and it was very well sauced and mixed. I got the beef hot pot with mild spice level & vermicelli noodles. Broth was great. Good amount of toppings. This definitely satisfied my cravings after a post-concert day. If you follow their IG, there are influencers promoting deals for if you complete a survey card after your meal & use a discount code, you will get an appetizer for FREE. Yesss love saving money any way I can! I will be back for sure! Yumm.

Came to visit this place on a cold night. The last few times I've been here, I really enjoyed it. Miso seafood (3/5): I liked the toppings in this pot, but a lot of the toppings were under cooked. The fish was actually full on raw when we received it.

Me Taiwanese. Me like hotpot. This place good. The end. No but in all seriousness this location is in our rotation of restaurants that we frequent. Service is great, food comes out fast, and most importantly the food is always amazing and consistent! The #4 beef is my usual order, you really can't go wrong with it. Perfect for a cold and rainy day. Oh and they also changed those godawful sauce containers so now my dining experience is even more pleasant.

First time going to the NorCal location! After a long day, we were craving some soup and ended up driving to boiling point! We are incredibly grateful for the staff who were all working quickly and efficiently, especially since it was an hour before closing time and there were still a lot of people waiting for a table. The food was delicious, as expected! We also ordered a black tea. The sugar syrup were all on the bottom of the cup Overall, we appreciated the staff and the food was great!

#4 Beef Hot Soup and #5 Lamb Hot Soup
Rosey Y.

Came to Boiling Point to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and we had such a great experience! I got the beef hot pot and he got the lamb pot -- both were delicious, super flavorful, and came out piping hot. The portions were generous and perfect for a cozy meal. The staff were really kind and even honored his birthday by giving his pot for free, along with a free drink -- we picked the passion fruit green tea with aloe vera, which was so refreshing and perfectly sweet. Such a nice gesture that made the night extra special. Overall, everything was great -- from the food to the service. Warm, hearty, and just what you'd want from a hot pot spot. Definitely will be coming back!

Been here a few times but never remember to leave a review lol Food is good here. I love their pot options. The fire lasted longer than other hot pot places. Service was fast. Order came out pretty quick. You can ask for more soup to avoid burning the ingredients. It's a casual lunch place. Good for hanging out with friends. Plenty of boba places nearby too. Ample of parking outside.

#3 Korean Bean Paste Hot Soup
Alex Z.

I love this place! My favorite is the Korean bean paste soup, this is my go to every time I come here especially with the spinach wok noodles. Service is always quick as soon as you walk in the door someone is already attending you. The place is a bit small but, it's worth it for the amazing hot pots. This time around I took it to go and it's just as great, but obviously you get a better experience eating it at the restaurant.

Even though they aren't too far from me I hadn't heard of them before. It's an unassuming spot tucked into a shopping center next to a bagel and water shop, but it gets crowded, and for good reason. This was only my second time ever having hot pot, the first time was not AYCE and was an individual pot, so it was fun to try the shared AYCE way. We picked two broths, the Shrimp and signature, and then went down the menu selecting proteins and other add-ons. We went with the Ultra over the supreme so we could get some of the nicer cuts of meats. They have happy hour pricing of a few dollars off earlier in the evening, which was going on when we were in. Non-meat dd-on favorites included the Napa cabbage, kabocha squash, ramen, bok choy, and shitake mushrooms. We got the Enoki mushrooms the first round, but switched to shitake for round two and they were the favorite. My boyfriend's favorite meat was the wagyu, and I was partial to the pork and angus beef, but everything was good.

Soups are flavorful, garlic actually comes through, meat is good quality that melts in your mouth, marbling looks good. I will say that the broth does end up becoming really salty near the end but you can ask the servers for more broth.

Been dining at this location for as long as I can remember and I'm definitely a fan of their soups…read more My go-to is their beef hot soup medium spice level which hits the spot every single time. The broth is flavorful, meat slices are fair, and I enjoy all of the other various fish balls, veggies, and more provided as well. Their soybean paste is my favorite and it pairs well with everything. I've dined here when they tried doing Malatang and I wasn't much of a fan so I'm glad they got rid of that style. Now they offer AYCE and I very much enjoy it! They updated the place with new tables and different stations offering a variety of fish balls, veggies, tofu, noodles, a drink station, sauce bar, and more that you can choose from. They also have ice cream to end your meal. As for the meats, out of all the choices I'm a fan of their angus marbled beef slices and angus beef slices. The meats are good quality, not frozen, sliced thin, and cooked very fast. I got the tom yum broth and it was flavorful. It was cool that our server was able to accommodate my mom as she wanted the cheesy milk broth since it isn't offered on the AYCE menu. I was already a fan of their hot pots before the AYCE option, and now I enjoy it even more!

My go-to order is SUMO Premium American American Kobe with Traditional Seaweed (Konbu) soup. The American Kobe is much more marbled and tender than the more expensive Angus Prime Ribeye. Sure, the ribeye is a 'better' cut but its actually not as good for Shabu since the thin slices negates the need for the ribeye to be a tender cut. The Angus Prime Ribeye is generally and usually not as marbled as the Premium American Kobe Beef at this place. Regular/Large/Sumo is 5/8/11 oz if you are wonder, I asked.

We'd return, but if we had to choose, we prefer the Cupertino location.  We visited on a Thursday right around noon, and there weren't many other patrons, probably 2-3 other groups. We were greeted by a friendly hostess/waitress and seated quickly. She efficiently seated and served multiple tables and was appropriately attentive, even offering some spicy drops to add to the soup. We each got our usual order of sumo ribeye and kimchi base soup. This location gave us two soup pots, which is a nice plus. At the Cupertino location, they only give one pot for us to share, and if a broth refill is needed, they refill with the standard water/seaweed broth. We prefer the flavor of the kimchi broth and dipping sauces (ponzu & sesame) at the Cupertino location. The San Jose location felt watered down - we would've been happy to share one pot of broth if it meant a more flavorful soup base and dipping sauces. This location, though, is larger and brighter than the Cupertino location. Their seating arrangement allows for larger groups - they have multiple tables that accommodate 4 (2 burners) and 6 (3 burners). They also have settings for 2 (1 burner). Parking is also more abundant (at least when we came) vs. the Cupertino location.

The interior isn't anything fancy and it's a typical hole in the wall Asian restaurant but that's how you know the food is gonna be good. I'd also have to admit their service was lackluster back then but they've improved a whole lot since then. I only order two things when I come here and it's always the #38 Thai seafood hotpot which is tom yum based and the #1 banh khot. Their Thai seafood hotpot always hits and has stayed consistent throughout the years. It's a classic tom yum soup base with a variety of different items like fish balls with roe (loveeee), lobster balls, shrimp, mussels, and so much more. They did switch up their hotpot veggies though and it's a platter of lettuce and cabbage now whereas before they used to have crown daisy (which was so much better) but that's okay. As for their banh khot, this is my favorite place to get it. It's always so fresh! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and the flavor is always on point. Our ordering iPad was not the easiest to get to, had to reach across the table, but all good - fun ordering. Then the sauce buffet is a good time, but long wait as people decide what they want. Reason for taking 2 stars off is the filth. The floor is so dirty. It has caked on dirt in multiple places. When I wear flip flops or open toed shoes, I tend to look down more when I walk and the floor was slippery with my shoes so the more I looked down, the more I was grossed out. This place needs a DEEEEEEP cleaning. When the dirt is thick, you wonder how the food is stored/back of the shop. So, take this with a grain of salt - cook your meats a little longer? I still think its a fun venue, I appreciated the waitstaff, very friendly and do their best - they hustle for sure! We will definitely be back to try again, maybe we got there in between cleanings. Value - I can definitely see you get your money's worth - we paid less for three of us than we do for burgers at one of the local places when we do DoorDash.
