Wish I had the same experience as all these people with their reviews. I can't even get them to return a call. After not returning my first call within 10 hours, I called back. She took all my info and said she would have the Tech call me. Again a whole bunch of nothing, it's been a week'! Glad everyone else seems to of had a good experience though. read more

Installed 2 new furnaces and condensers in march 2023. All working great. Also b4 march 2023 misc ac/repairs. I recommend them.

Bodensteiner AC has consistently given me excellent, timely, and honest service for my AC. They provide clear explanations, fair prices, and friendly and competent service. I have come to trust their advice. They have my business for as long as I live in Houston. read more

Of course my AC never fails unless the temperature is 100°; however, without fail, the team at Bodensteiner Service always goes above and beyond to repair my system quickly and at a fair price. They are professional, knowledgeable and very kind. Without reservation I highly recommend Bodensteiner, a family owned business with over 60 years experience. read more

I was recommended to contact Bodensteiner Service for A/C when I noticed that I wasn't getting any cold air. Blain came to inspect the outside unit and concluded that my compressor had crapped out on me. What I appreciated most about the service was that he was very meticulous about checking every little thing. When Blain made his recommendation, he laid all the details out very carefully, never pressured me to go one way or the other, and was helpful in answering all my questions. I had contacted a few other places before and received quotes on the work that needed to be done and their price was extremely reasonable. I went with them because I felt confident that they were gonna get me taken care. Jessica was able to get me scheduled super quick and their team knocked it out of the park. read more

There's nothing quite like the trust and value offered by a reliable family-run business that consistently delivers exceptional service at unbeatable prices. Year after year. I've done my homework, checking out all the top-rated companies you hear about online, but I always end up back with Bodensteiner. My latest experience was when I scheduled with a top-rated company to replace a thermostat with another identical one that I had purchased. I was told on the phone that it'd cost $250. I had the good sense to cancel that visit and scheduled with Bodensteiner again. They showed me how they did it, popping the old one out and the new one in. And they didn't charge me any extra other than the regular heat check that they were in for. Sometimes we just need the service, and not the hype of promse of great service which ended up draining our pockets. Can't recommend Bodensteiner enough. read more

I was refered by a friend to Bodensteiner Service, and they came out after I noticed one of my A/C units seemed to be blowing hot air on one of our 100 degree days. I bought my house about 6 months ago, and wasn't totally sure what I got myself into on the HVAC side. The technician was absolutely top-notch, and did a through check of both of my units, cleaning the drain lines. Turned out, one of the units just needed some more coolant. But even if I had needed more work, I was left confident that I would get an honest assessment and a fair quote. Will absolutely bring Bodensteiner back next time I'm in need of repairs or a tune-up. read more

HVAC System went down and was running all night trying to cool house down. Contacted BSI and Jessica was able to send Blain over the same day to check out the problem. Blain was very professional and very accommodating of my MANY questions. Within 30 minutes the system was fixed and seasonal checks completed. This is a Family Owned business that I would recommend 100%. read more

Blain was on time, had a good idea what the problem was based on the description I left, explained and showed me the problem (capacitor out on fan), replaced the worn part, checked fluid levels, very professional and polite. The price was fair, close to average, I believe. read more

would give these folks TEN Stars if that was an option! They are honest and treat their customers like they would like to be treated. isn't that what we all want? The tech was on time and went about his work efficiently and soon had my house cooled down. He left a happy relieved customer. Can not recommend these folks highly enough! They go the extra mile. read more

I wouldn't trust anyone else. Shows up on time, fixed the problem, polite, no overcharging or anything funky. Good people.

We had previously used a plumbing/heating and cooling company in our neighborhood that burned us before. When our heat went out on a Thursday on one of those very cold early December days, we again called that company. They sent someone out who "jiggled" a part, which got the heat working, and we were told we'd eventually have to have the part repaired. . Well, our heat went out again on Friday night, then when I called the company on Saturday morning, I was told it couldn't be repaired until Monday. It was freezing, and we have a young child whose lips were turning blue in the cold, so we had to go two more nights without heat. Never again with this company I thought, and I reached out to a friend who had her entire HVAC system repaired a couple of years back. She recommended Bodensteiner. The woman who answered the phone was super helpful and explained that the pet couldn't be purchased until Monday morning because the company that makes our furnace was closed on the weekend. She helped us figure out how to find our warranty information and assured me that a technician would come out first thing on Monday morning. They did come out first thing wearing a mask and taking COVID precautions very seriously. The furnace was fixed within an hour at a fraction of the price the first company quoted us at. Bodensteiner is a small family owned company, and they really deliver on customer service and speedy repairs. I'm thankful to have a reliable company to call next time we need a repair like this, which hopefully doesn't happen for a while! read more

So far I have called them out twice and both times they have been honest and reliable. The personal that came over was friendly and also has extensive knowledge on AC repairs. Highly recommend! read more

I could not be more ecstatic with the service done by Hank today. He was amazing. We realized we were having an hvac issue and had another company come out and quote $5k to replace our damper motors. I didn't know those were a thing until this week. Because of the location of our damper motors they said they would need to remove our a/c unit, possibly the furnace, etc. then do the work then put it all back?! Oh and they needed to special order the parts. Hank arrived, took a look, and replaced those damper motors! And it's wasn't anywhere near $5k! And the parts were on his truck. If you have a tall Houston build, and your hvac system wasn't allotted much square footage, don't lose hope! Bodensteiner to the rescue!!! Thank you!!!! read more

Blair did a great job diagnosing my HVAC problem. He was extremely professional. I think the pricing was fair and honest.

Honest and Trustworthy. Hank was quick to notice that the part that needed replacement may be under warranty since my home is fairly new. He was able to contact the manufacturer and verify that it had a 5 year warranty. He picked up the replacement and had my AC working the same day. He's earned my future business. read more

I've called this company twice over the past 3 years to service my old AC units. Booking an appointment is easy and they show up on time. I felt like I paid a fair price for the services performed, but most importantly I felt like I found a business I could trust to give me an honest opinion. I've recommended them to others and would use them again for other AC/heating needs I have. read more

Our AC coil froze and we contacted the installer since the equipment was still under warranty. Without even coming out to check the system they recommend that the coil be replaced...and the service would cost $1900. I immediately called Bodensteiner Service who came out and determined that that coil did not need replacement. They got my system up and going again and even came back due to a follow up question we had about root cause. Great service. Great family owned business. Straight shooters. Call them FIRST. That is what I will do next time! read more

Blair Bodensteiner is honest, fairly priced and does a great job. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I've been a Bodensteiner customer for years, and I trust Blair to tell me the truth and do what's right. For example, i called to get my furnace replaced as the inspection showed it being 20 years old. He went into the attic and called in the sku to verify and said it was nearly brand new and no need for anything to be done. Some might have taken advantage of me basically saying "go ahead and replace this system" but he was honest and that's why I'll call him and refer for any hvac needs read more

Loved dealing with Jessica. Very straightforward, no games, no upselling or spin selling...highly recommend their services. They sold me what I needed with a solid warranty. read more

I cannot thank Bodensteiner Services enough for fixing my AC unit! My A/C went out yesterday, Tuesday October 10th. Due to the Yelp reviews, I called a different company that showed up at the top of the Yelp list to determine what was wrong. They were great about getting me an appointment within a couple of hours and the service technician was very courteous. However, very quick into the visit, the technician brought my capacitor to me and said that the problem was probably the capacitor. He informed me of the price and I gave him permission to change it out. Shortly after, he came back inside and informed me that unfortunately it wasn't the capacitor it was the compressor. The cost to replace the compressor and coils would be $5,100. At this point, I told them that I needed to get a second opinion. This morning I received the invoice for yesterday's services, now stating the estimate to replace the compressor was $5,400. I then call Bodensteiner Services as they were provided to me by a trusted friend in the building industry. The owner was kind enough to come over late this afternoon. He looked at it and given the fan wasn't working also came to same conclusion that it was the capacitor. He went to his truck, grabbed the part, installed it and viola, my AC unit was fixed for $220. I'm going to schedule an appointment with Bodensteiner's tomorrow to come over and clean the unit which was repaired today and confirm that the service I paid yesterday to another company to perform was actually completed. Yes, this might have been an honest mistake, however given that I stood and watched this evenings repair happen real time I find it even more difficult to believe that yesterday's event was purely preying on someone and upselling a service that wasn't' needed by $5,200. Finding a company you can trust and treats you fairly is hard to find and I'm thankful that I can now depend on Bodensteiner Service for my AC maintenance and peace of mind. read more

Bodensteiner Service is the BEST! I had a problem with my air conditioner during this record heat wave and they got Blaine out to fix it within 4 hours. I've used Bodensteiner 2-3 times over the last 3 years or so and cannot say enough good things about them. So happy I called them! My cousin recommended them and I loved their reviews, so I decided to call on a Friday. Blair came out the next day, quickly fixed our AC, and the price was very affordable! I could not be happier with their service! We had an emergency late on a Sunday night. I called and left a message first thing in the morning, prior to their business hours starting at 8am. Jessica called me right at 8 o'clock!!! She informed me as to what to do with our system in advance of their service call and told me that this was a busy day but they will get out today! Big relief. They came highly recommended to us and now we know why. They called me 30 minutes in advance of their arrival. Polite, professional service with no bs up-selling strategies that we had seen in the past. They just fixed it with parts that they already had in truck. In and out with the repair (luckily it was not a major problem) and the problem is resolved! We will ALWAYS use them for any AC issues in the future. 5 * treatment. No wonder they have been around for 60 years. read more

We had a leaking evaporator coil and contacted several companies for quotes. Bodensteiner Service was very responsive and when I told them that the coil was replaced fairly recently in 2013, they went out of their way to contact the manufacturer to confirm if it's still under warranty. In the end, they managed to obtain an all aluminum coil from the manufacturer to replace our leaking copper coil (aluminum coil is much better than copper), which I appreciate very much. Their service was great when they performed the actual replacement work. Hank and Aaron were both very professional and gladly answered all the dumb questions I had as they were doing their work (I wanted to learn a bit myself). I thought the work was going to take a whole day, but they got it done properly in under 3 hours. Thanks to their efforts on figuring out the warranty, I only paid for the labor and gas to refrigerant to charge the system, which was very reasonable. Would I use them again? Most definitely. read more

Great business. They were prompt in replacing my ac unit within 2 days, and the owner took it upon himself to come out 3 days later and to fix a minor issue. read more

Such a courteous service! I have 2 month old baby and was really concerned about air ventilation system at my house. I needed an inspection and to see whether it was my air conditioning system that was causing my baby boy harder to breathe. I requested quote via Yelp and got reply from Mr. Bodensteiner immediately. He offered to stop by at no charge and check whether I need ventilation system fixed. He arrived at the same day and explained what might be causing the problem. Fast, reliable and most importantly honest person in this business. Thank you Mr.Bodensteiner for outstanding service! read more

Yes, they do actually deserve 5 stars. Called them because they were close by. Kyle accommodated my schedule and was a professional in every manner. Our unit was fixed in literally about 15 minutes and the cost was more than reasonable especially considering there was no feeling of unreasonable mark up on the new part installed. I would definitely use them again. read more

Cannot say enough for this fortunate find in the Houston Heights based solely off of the reviews found here on Yelp. Service call was for a clogged main drain to the Evaporator on the HVAC system. Quickly scheduled and actually arrived within three hours of the initial call. Quick service and no need to upsell additional services - quick and to the point. Definitely keeping this number handy to provide to neighbors and friends. read more

I've used these guys twice and find them to be excellent. I've dealt with Hank both times. The first time was when I called him after another service told me I needed a whole new system after my carbon monoxide detector went off the first time I turned on the heater that year. Hank said the system was fine and it was probably just dust from non-use over the summer. That proved to be true. The second time was this week when the AC quit cooling. I called Bodensteiner at 7 a.m. and the office called back at 7:30 and said she'd get someone out that day. Hank called about 2 hours later and said he was on the way. He said the compressor unit needed a new capacitor and it was fixed and he was on his way by 10. Cost $165. I wouldn't use anyone else. read more

Love this AC company. They are friendly, reliable, knowledgeable & super honest. I've used them twice for annual AC inspection & once because we needed a new coil. With the coil they were upfront w cost, tried (& succeeded!) to make sure our issue was covered by the warranty. They had it fixed within 24hours. Excellent service. Incredibly well priced. read more

Had a small gas leak in my heater that needed to be fixed so I had these guys come out. I previously had two other AC companies come by and take a look and my gut told me they weren't shooting straight with me. Hank replaced a part to fix the gas leak and noticed that there could be a carbon monoxide leak as well. It turned out the unit was leaking carbon monoxide. Hank and his brother Blair came back out and gave me a quote to replace the whole heater. Great price. Great work. I would highly recommend these guys. read more

Blair is super smart and very honest. He can diagnose any problem with your HVAC system and does not try to up-sell you on new products. He will tell you what is wrong and how to fix it as economically as possible. He also came to my house the very next morning when our AC blew out over the weekend. Highly recommend. read more
