Had an Ice Machine that we used to put ice in our cooler, ice bag, and water bottles. There is a water machine in the 'lobby' that has three temperature settings, Hot, Cool, and Cold. There is also a pool, though it was closed when I was at the hotel, but is open during summer from 9am to 7pm. Had some great breakfast options near by. Great little place though! Beautiful scenery near by also!

We found this place online. We were looking for a hotel with…read more2 beds for 2 nights. After seeing the pictures and reading the description, we booked the room. There is a no refund policy, which means you cannot cancel your reservations. This place is very expensive, more than what we wanted to spend. With it being summer, peak season, and no other rooms within 75 miles, we had no options but to take it. The place is very old, very very old. They said that they newly renovated. The repainted, put in new linoleum floors, super cheap beds, they are really cots with a soft matress put on top, they are not real beds. They give you a child size table and 2 child size chairs to sit on. A mini fridge, which is okay, and a very tiny microwave. They do not do yard maintenance, even though they say it is more natural and organic and better for wildlife, and to save water. They said the mow every 2-3 weeks. There are huge rosemary shrubs in front of all of the rooms. They are overgrown and should be trimmed, your view is blocked. There are a few plastic tables and Adirondack type chairs out in the field, but nothing near your room if you want to sit outside. There is a nice pool which they lock up every night at 7pm, so your family has to get out at 7pm. The bathrooms are small but come with towels, etc. They have hair dryers, soap and shampoo. We had a few issues our room, I reported it to the 800 number, whom told the manager. He called me and we discussed the issues, and said thank you, that he was unaware of those issue and he will fix them. I was satisfied with my conversation with the manager, he was very professional and understanding. Thank you Xavier. This place is next to Northwwods golf course. There is a restaurant at the golf course. Next door is a little cafe with good food. It is quiet and peaceful here except for a few noisy tenants. $320 per night is way too much for this place. See photos. It should be no more that $129 per night.

The inn is located on a busy road, but traffic slows down in the evening. The rooms have a charming beachy feel and are on the smaller side, but that's exactly what we expected after reading reviews. We were only staying one night, so we booked the smallest room. If we return for a longer stay, we'd probably opt for a larger room. That said, if you're in Bodega Bay, hopefully you're spending most of your time exploring rather than sitting in your room! The rooms include mini fridges and a coffee station, and the lobby has a larger coffee and tea station as well as a microwave. Parking is located right outside your room, which makes loading and unloading easy. The location is also very convenient. It's within walking distance of a grocery store that has just about everything you might need, including a deli. The Birds Cafe is right across the street and serves coffee, delicious breakfasts, oysters, lobster rolls, and more - all with fantastic views. Overall, this is a great spot if you're looking for a comfortable stay with incredible views and easy access to everything Bodega Bay has to offer.

We have been using Bodega Harbor Inn for over 35 years and have always had exceptional customer…read moreservice from George and Steve. Our most recent experience was not great with newer employee (Gina). When we arrived on WED we were happy to get our keys to the Harbor House as it was our first time to stay in this house. We got into the house and we realized it smelled of gas. There was one burner that was taped off with do not use on the tape. It was obvious that the Inn was aware there was a problem, yet this was not taken care of properly prior to our arrival. We returned to the office to inform them with our concerns in the Harbor House. Gina let us know that she has had other guests with the same complaints but she said it had been recently serviced. She said if it made us feel better she could have the handyman come look at it again in the morning. She tried to reach the him, but there was no answer and she had to leave a message. Gina did assure us that the owners daughter had just stayed in the Harbor House with no complaints. We chose to stay the night and have the handyman check the stove in the morning. It was two days before the stove was checked so we were not able to use the heat or stove until Friday evening. The young man who worked on the stove let us know it was leaking gas because it was not fixed correctly. We also had some attitude from Gina when we tried to get 4 wash cloths and more coffee for the coffee maker. We also had to ask for toilet paper twice because we only had 2 spare rolls for 4 adults staying 5 nights (6 days). We should have been offered a discount for the 3 days we were not able to safely use the heater and stove due to the gas leak. We have decided that we will have to move on and find a new place to stay for our yearly vacation to Bodega Bay. I think things would have been handled differently had George or Steve been running the office that week. We are very lucky that the house did not blow up nor did we have poisoning due to the natural gas leak. Keeping all the windows open until it was properly serviced was difficult because it was so cold, but we are still here to share this story. Looking back on this we never should have stayed in the home but I am happy to be alive. We are just disappointed that our trip was not enjoyable and we paid extra to stay in the house when we would have had a better vacation just renting a room without these issues.

We stayed in the Seal's unit, which is the largest of the 3. For the price it's tough to beat the location. The cabin sits on piers directly over the bay when the tide is up. You do get a bit of road noise due to the location directly off highway 1, but late at night, the road is not well traveled. The unit is cleaned by tenant's so it's not professionally cleaned. Still, it was not too bad. The unit could benefit from a new bed and perhaps some updated dishware. It would really pop with some new furnishings, but then the price would likely increase. Sitting out in the hot tub on a star filled night makes these issues are little more excusable. We had some outstanding food at Terrapin Creek Cafe and Spud Point Crab Co. If I have time, I may post reviews of these, but they hardly need the pub.

We got to see an amazing sunset from the balcony and seals swimming just offshore. It was nice to have a kitchen to make a simple breakfast. You do need to bring your own linens and towels, but that was not a problem for us. You have to clean the unit before you leave, but it did not take more than an hour. The only negatives for us were the shower was somewhat clogged and we weren't able to enjoy the hot tub because it needed cleaning and was slimy. We booked on extremely short notice, so we can't fault the owner for not having time to check on the unit before our arrival. He was easy to work with and responded very quickly to phone calls. We had hoped to use the available kayak, but ran short on time. If you are not looking for a 5 star, fancy hotel, this is your place. The relaxation factor of having your own space, combined with the reasonable price made this an ideal escape.

Luis, the manager at the front office, provided us a warm welcoming and he gave us a tour of the property. We liked Luis for his good customer service and his honesty. Yes, there a few things that weren't perfect, but as long as it was functional and still in working order was ok with us. You will see photos from other reviews , and they have made improvements and/ or corrections based on those complaints. For example, our dinner table had some bubbles on the top in the paint. It was still functional and we ate dinner using the table without any problem. Their TV system is set up for streaming. The bed was comfortable and the master bedroom was nice with a big screen tv and dressers for him and her. The lighting system is limited, but there's room for improvement. Our room came with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and keurig coffee maker all functional. I spoke with Luis and I gave him some recommendations how they can improve the property. Luis took my recommendations by writing them down. This location has great views of the bay. And it's close to everything. Plenty of property to walk your pet and they have a pool table and a swimming pool for some fun. this hotel has a lot of potential and as long as they continue to improve their property, this will be a great place to stay. We will be back in the future.

As a 3-star…read moreboutique hotel actively working to rebrand/ update itself it suited our needs but could still use some work/ minor tweaks and adjustments. We recently spent 6 days there celebrating our 2 year anniversary! I booked one of the bigger luxury suites with them that had a king size bed, wall fireplace (electric not gas), free standing bathtub and an oceanside view. In no particular order here are my suggestions/ critiques: - As one of the only pet friendly hotels in the area (we brought our dog with us) you should have bowls for food/ water and a bed already in your pet friendly rooms. I had to ask the front desk for a bowl. - Toilet paper and tissues should be abundant with multiples of each already in each room. 2 small packs of tissue and three rolls of toilet paper isn't enough for two people. I had to ask the front desk multiple times for more toilet paper and tissues (mildly embarrassing for me as a guest but also a hassle and since I was on vacation I feel like I shouldn't have had to). - The free standing tub is too small (could only fit one of us) and awkwardly shaped (super deep but not long enough to spread out). The bathroom in this suite was easily big enough for either a two person free standing tub or even a jet tub. Also because it's free standing there was nothing underneath it to catch excess water/ overspill resulting in water all over the bathroom floor. A pan underneath the tub or something similar would have helped. Great idea in theory and a nice luxury amenity/ aesthetic but practically it doesn't really work. The wand feature it had was a nice addition as well as the wooden tray for soaps, a glass of wine, etc but gets in the way of the spout so we ended up not using it. - The bathroom was pretty big with space for a closet as well (which we didn't end up using) and I think that space could have been utilized better by having an additional rack or table for storage, not only there but in the bathroom itself (more often than not I had to move things to the counter where the sink was because that was the only usable space off the floor). - The vanity/ countertops should have had two sinks installed instead of only one. - The towels could have been better quality. - There were shallow scratch marks on the floor and walls. - The mini patio off the hotel room was a nice addition as well but the small table and two chairs on it were in rough shape (slightly rusted, peeling paint, and no cushions on the seats). - No complimentary breakfast but there is a small Keurig coffee machine in the room, a microwave and a mini fridge. If you're not going to have a complimentary breakfast at least consider partnering with some of the local cafes and restaurants that do serve breakfast (offer a slight discount and send them customers). - The on-site amenities are bare and lackluster (a common room on a second floor with places to sit and chat, play pool/ board games, watch TV, bird watch or just watch the bay/ sunset/ sunrise), an outdoor and gated jacuzzi/ space area and a water/ ice machine. All of these require leaving your room (the hotel itself is made up of multiple buildings/ outdoor spaces, it's not one giant building). These are all in my opinion simply suggestions/ ideas to consider to bring that sense of luxury to your hotel and to your guests. However, overall it was a wonderful experience that just missed the mark in terms of what I consider a "luxurious experience."

Friends were coming from out of town to surprise her. It was a very big deal. On Oct 29, I gave the owner a $250 deposit by Paypal. Final payment was due Dec 28. However, that date slipped my mind because of the time that passed and because I was busy traveling with my family for Christmas. On Dec 30, the owner emailed me about this. I responded within hours, apologized and told her that I would ask my bank to issue a check to her. The owner replied she was concerned because the check was to be issued on Jan 6, which was 4 days before our arrival. (For some reason, BofA needed that much time to issue the check.) However, I assure her the check would be good. I heard nothing else from her -- until Jan 6. On the morning of Jan 6, the owner sent me a curt email saying that she was CANCELING MY RESERVATION and WE WERE NOT WELCOME and that she was KEEPING MY DEPOSIT. I was shocked and panicked. She never called or emailed me to say she was about to do this. She just did it. I called her immediately and left a message apologizing profusely and pleading with her not to do this. I sent an email saying the same. I also begged her to send me a Paypal so I could make a credit card payment immediately (just as I did for my deposit). I heard nothing from her that day. Then it dawned on me that this owner was going to keep my deposit and rent the house for full value elsewhere just to pad her profit. Why else would she refuse to allow me to pay by credit card? She had no regard for our plans. But there's more... The next day, she emailed me and claimed that my check arrived and she accused me of "perpetrating a fraud" on her. I was flabbergasted. SHE was the one who had taken my $250, refused my request to make full payment -- and she was calling ME the fraud! Even now, I can't describe I angry and outraged I am. This owner is, at best, very unstable, or at worst, a cold-hearted swindler. I can't comment on the quality of her property, but I know a great deal about her trustworthiness and decency. Anyone who does business with her is putting their money and vacation at risk. She does not care about your vacation plans or your important life moments.
