    Comfy 2-Queen Bed Room

We stayed here for 2 nights during July 4th weekend. I've last visited Bodega Bay some 25 years ago for a Company Team Building event, and it may have been at this hotel given the venue, though my memory is fuzzy. The Lodge is a bit secluded from the commercial areas, which is great for you to enjoy being surrounded by nature and water. ROOMS The rooms are motel-style, located in different two-story buildings spread across the property. Huge rooms with plenty of storage space and comfy beds. Bathroom was narrow but otherwise functional with good water pressure on the shower. It was surprisingly quiet despite the motel-style design. Instead of bottled water, you get unlimited high-quality canned water. LOBBY A great place to hang out, since they'll have wine nights, cheese platters, and of course coffee and tea. You'll also see sparkling lemonade which is great before or after hiking. RESTAURANT Drake's is the onsite dinner restaurant but they also have a casual Cafe with breakfast. I'll review separately - food and service are excellent. SERVICE The staff are excellent and gave many useful tips on local restaurants and hiking trails. The maid staff was very impressive as our rooms were cleaned daily. One time the rooms were finished right after breakfast! AMENITIES Our energetic 5yo son loved running around the grounds of the Lodge, and we saw a large hot tub and heated pool outside. They also have a gym and spa but unfortunately we did not get to try either. Good Wifi signal on the property but note you may lose cellular signal once you exit the property until you get closer to the nearby restaurants and docks. Overall, an excellent and relaxing stay. It was definitely on the pricier side of hotels, even though they don't tack on any parking or resort fees. Would recommend for a special occasion or splurge.

The perfect spot to stay in Bodega Bay. Grounds are peaceful and beautiful. We had a hummingbird that kept visiting on our balcony. When they asked why we were coming, told them it was our 25 anniversary and they surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine in the room. Nice touch. The team was very friendly and you had everything you needed there from restaurant to gym/pool/infinity hot tub on site. Great bird sanctuary and hiking trails near by. Love the moody coastal weather since we were there end of October. Highly recommend.

How can you beat these views?

Best place to stay in Bodega bay! Gorgeous accommodations, quiet location, great views of the bay and a lovely restaurant and workout area. The grounds are so pretty and peaceful to walk and right next to the bird sanctuary. Shout out for the happy hour with little treats and wine and especially the sparkling lemonade which I loved! Everyone was helpful and friendly. Free parking. Best of all was housekeeping. They are so efficient and intuitive and friendly. We would be gone for maybe an hour for breakfast and our room was spotless and serviced! Give those amazing ladies a raise! The rooms were modern and spacious and quiet with extremely comfortable mattress and pillows. There are complimentary fitness classes and yoga etc. fire pits for s'mores if you like but we were too busy exploring. We loved this place. It's pricey but we were happy there. Also I should say they were very accommodating when I realized I had a small snag in our travel plans and they happily and graciously accommodated. Not all places will do that. Went to the restaurant for breakfast and it was pricey but very tasty and honestly there's not much out there here for breakfast. We just loved it here!

I go there often and love this Bodega Bay gem. Their breakfast imo is the best in the area, hands down. They have a delightful small bites menu that starts at 4 and a dinner (at 5) with delicious entrees w ample portions. View is breathtaking and service staff is nothing but exceptional.

Absolutely best place to stay in bodega Bay. My family and I stayed there for two nights only but the experience was worthwhile. We dined there two nights, and the food was exquisite. I had the black cod, one night and the following night I had this salmon burger, which was to die for. The service and staff were excellent and hospitable. We went on a nature walk one morning and our tour guide was very informative on recommendations. The Front Desk were so nice and they even notified us about these excellent services such as the bird walk, s'mores night, and wine and cheese reception. Even in the lobby, first thing in the morning, they would have coffee and an assortment of tea for the bird. The staff provided us binoculars, and we didn't have to give them back until the end of the day, which was perfect because we were able to use the binoculars for the many trails in bodega Bay. The next time I come to bodega Bay, I will definitely book their spa services. Highly recommend!

Very special hotel in Bodega Bay. We stayed in their captain's quarters and it was such a beautiful room. We were there to celebrate a 40th birthday and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel has a quaint spa with great services, wine tastings in the game room attached to the main lobby, a pool, bikes you can borrow and peaceful trails down to the water. I can't wait to come back here again.

Absolutely fabulous! "The best property in Bodega Bay, without a doubt." That's how my husband described this gorgeous place on the south side of town and just up the hill from Doran Beach. A beautifully appointed property with several buildings, including the main lobby and upper building and the lower building, which includes the on-site restaurant Drakes. There's a roomy infinity hot tub overlooking the bay's wetlands, plus a super warm outside pool, even in mid-December - what a surprising treat! They also offer spa services, a whimsical mosaic tiled outdoor(ish) shower and nice fitness room. We arrived just in time to check-in before enjoying a quick wine tasting with snacks as the sun set behind Bodega Head. While we didn't partake, they also had a nice offering of free wellness activities like morning yoga and meditation, plus bikes and park passes for guests to use during their stay. Staff at all levels were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Can't wait to return to this gem at one of our favorite weekend getaway destinations!

I have to start by saying these beds were so comfortable (in our opinion) and we all fell asleep right away. We had a one night stay and for breakfast we went to Drakes Sonoma Coast. On the hotel campus they have a sauna, hot tub, a pool, a gym, and more. The views were so pretty and just a heads up it can get pretty cold and windy. (We didn't know this till the end but the front desk said that all the amenities that are consumable are free/complimentary.)

We had a pretty comfortable stay here with some pros and cons. Pros: - rosemary lemonade in the lobby is delicious and they have it daily - complimentary wine tasting hours - complimentary house white/red for our anniversary with chocolates in our room - asked for memory foam/synthetic pillows in replacement of our flat down ones, and they delivered! - next to Drakes restaurant, easily walkable - massage was decent - provided a better fridge and microwave for our room before arrival so we could store our baby's food and heat it up - personal patio - love the deep bath tub and bath fizz - two luggage stands for the rooms - slippers and plushy robes - electric vehicle chargers - smooth checkout (and provided us water to leave with) - heated pool (even tho we couldn't use it) - couldn't hear neighbors Cons: - forgot our complimentary house wine in our room until we reached out for it - down pillows are too flat and uncomfortable for sleep - delivered our replacement pillows when we had our "do not disturb" sign up - scrub treatment was nice but could be better as my body had parts that could've been scrubbed better - A/C in the room wasn't working so had to use ceiling fan - spiderwebs above coffee/tea area - crumbs/leftovers of something on the edges of the carpet (cleaning could be done better) - toilet paper too thin - shower pressure too light -

We booked a night here. When I checked in, I asked if they would give a complimentary upgrade since it was our anniversary but they were booked out. Not long after we settled in our room, one of the staffs knocked our door and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine with a card. What a good hospitality! Our room was spacious and clean. The balcony overlooked a garden with the view of water in the distance. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom looked nice. The swimming pool was nice but it was pretty crowded as there were lots of families using it. The hotel was quiet and good for relaxing vacation. It was a short drive to restaurants around the area.

    Check out that view!

Fantastic experience! I booked a massage for my birthday and the concierge were very welcoming to my boyfriend and I. Complimentary cozy robes and slippers, spa access for both of us, gorgeous gardens and sunset views. I can't wait to go again!

A Peaceful Getaway with Stunning Views…read more We stayed at The Inn at the Tides in Bodega Bay while celebrating a birthday trip from the San Jose region in mid-January, and we could not have asked for better weather. It was sunny every day with temperatures in the mid-60s, which made Bodega Bay feel like a perfect winter escape. The week before it had been raining like crazy and some areas had been flooded. We really lucked out! The hotel is located on a hill, not really next to the water, but because it is situated on the hill, it has great views. Our 2nd story room on the top of the hill was spacious, quiet, and extremely comfortable. The high vaulted ceiling with a skylight made it feel open and airy, and the layout included a couch and small table with chairs, which was perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. We also appreciated having a coffee pot and small refrigerator in the room. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. We saw deer grazing near the bushes and trees, which added to the peaceful coastal feel. The views are excellent, especially from the second-floor units, overlooking Bodega Bay on one side and rolling grassy hills with cows on the other. The hotel is very quiet and restful. Housekeeping was excellent (thank you Grace), and the front desk staff, Evelyn and Tyler, were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. The wellness center is really nice with a large T-shaped pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, workout room, and shaded tables for sitting, eating, or enjoying a drink. Parking is plentiful with some covered spots, plus the hotel is right next to a 76 gas station, which is very convenient for that long drive home. The hotel restaurant is directly across the street on the water and has great views of the bay. Seals, birds and an occasional fishing boat can be seen. There is another restaurant closer to the hotel rooms but it was closed during our stay. A couple of minor wishes: the workout room could use a large mirror, a few more weights, and maybe even a Concept2 rowing machine (hint, hint). And the TV in our room could also be a bit larger (I know, were not their to watch TV, but we love HGTV!). Lastly, if you do not want to deal with stairs, request a ground-floor room. There are no elevators. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend The Inn at the Tides. It was the perfect home base for our first visit to Bodega Bay. Looking forward to staying there again ... hopefully soon!

Pros: this was a very charming estate and the staff was beyond kind to both of us and our pup. He was welcome everywhere except the dining room, the pool and spa. The room was very cute and clean. The only downside for me and my allergies is that there is wood fireplace in each room. The bathroom had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was from 8-10 am in the dining room and had a decent meat-less spread. Toast, bagels, oatmeal and toppings, plain yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, coffee, tea assortment and juices. The grounds are super cute and weather permitting there is a movie playing on a projector with complimentary s'mores to cook on the outdoor wood fire. Since we had our dog, we didn't use the pool or spa. "Aunt Kay" we interacted with the most and was so kind to both of us and Dio. She made our stay! Not only was she informative but also checked in on us when we we'd pass through the lobby. Dio was a big fan of her. Cons: if you have allergies or are sensitive to wood smoke, this is not your destination. Again, there are wood burning fireplaces in each room and a large fire pit by the movie. The room we stayed at is across from the pool and it can get noisy. You can also hear everyone that walks in front of your room. Along with that there is a lot of wildlife, so you may need ear plugs. If you need to sleep in the dark, the front blinds are going to still let in light, so bring a sleep mask. Update: we got a text that I forgot my socks in the room. They offered to mail them to us, we declined. I don't remember the last time house keeping and the front office too the time to be that considerate.

I have quite a bit of feedback of this business especially as they finish remodeling and rebranding. Based off the old photos the rooms seem like they have improved a lot so I am hoping they do well overall. Location: 5/5 It's right in front of the beach, you get a nice view of your room faces the bay and there's a small coffee shop, local burgers and hot dogs, and post office next door, also Fishetarian is so close! Great for a coasty vibe and a beer. Check-In/ Check-Out and staffing: 2/5 Upon arrival (around 1pm) we were told our room wasn't ready and we could not check in until 4pm. The lady at the front was very friendly and offered us some chocolate while she processed our payment. Once checked in, process was smooth but what really upset us was the limited staffing they have on site generally. No one is there at check out (11am) and they don't arrive until between 1-4 which isn't good for a hospitality business. Overnight our neighbors were up until 5AM. Drinking and smoking cigarettes on their balcony so we weren't able to enjoy our outdoor space. There was no one to call and notify to tell them to keep it down. They were also jumping or dropping furniture idk it was loud thuds though, so I'm sure the people below them were annoyed too. In the morning we requested a different room and they were apologetic but did not find us a new place and thankfully our neighbors checked out. I really hope Bodega Coast Inn followed up with them because they were an inconsiderate group of adults acting like they were in college. Definitely ruined our night and made the next morning hard to enjoy because we were so tired. I also requested a complimentary night but they ghosted me and stopped responding. The room: 3/5 Beautiful renovated room with a mid century modern vibe. Only complaint is the shower. It was clean but the way the glass half-wall is situated splashes water EVERYWHERE. If they don't address this, they will need to do a lot of maintenance on floor repairs for water damage. We had to lay a towel on the floor each time we showered. The property was also undergoing renovations and there was no noise at night but the spa wasn't operating or in good condition. Generally I would recommend this place. But I hope they staff someone to be available overnight for noise complaints because it can easily become a party room without anyone from the company knowing and guests not having a good experience.

First impressions of the king suite were great: stylish, modern, and freshly updated. Unfortunately, it also came with a side of "Eau de Pine-Sol" so intense it could qualify as a third guest. We opened every window and door in a desperate attempt to air it out, but the scent stood its ground like a pine-scented fog of war. By bedtime, my sinuses were staging a protest, and the birthday getaway vibe had definitely taken a hit. The silver lining? By morning, we could breathe like humans again. Now, about those windows: charming in theory, but none of them had screens. The bedroom window opened right onto a sidewalk, which meant a parade of passing strangers just a few feet away. With no A/C and a security risk that felt more "live stage performance" than "private suite," we ended up sweating it out with the windows closed. The bed also had... character. The headboard was completely detached from the wall, and according to my husband, his side of the bed offered a gentle downhill slope--ideal for sledding, not so much for sleeping. All that said, I actually really like this place. It has great bones and a lot of potential they're actively working on. I'd absolutely come back, but next time I'll book a second or third-floor room, and I'll be calling ahead to make sure it doesn't smell like a pine forest exploded indoors.

The only negatives for us were the shower was somewhat clogged and we weren't able to enjoy the hot tub because it needed cleaning and was slimy. We booked on extremely short notice, so we can't fault the owner for not having time to check on the unit before our arrival. He was easy to work with and responded very quickly to phone calls. It was a four bedroom house and it also had a washer and there were two spaces for parking and they also had a gaming area in the garage. For our 10 year wedding anniversary hubby decided to come back to the place we met and fell in love. But this time around he rented Albatramonto property that's up stairs from the original Tramonto property that we stayed at 11 years ago. The only complaint we really had was the heater they had didn't warm the place enough and it was really cold. luckily, they had layers of blankets on the bed to keep us warm. The sunset are still amazing to watch from the patio. Parking is a little tight for this property. Brianna was the person we had dealt with, and she had simply been nothing but helpful with the bookings. The nice part about this company is everything is done online via email and to check into your property. You never have to go to the office. You can just show up at the actual vacation home and the key is in the lock box. every time you call them, there's always someone there to pick up the phone and answer any questions that you have. we will definitely be back here again in the near future you can never go wrong with any of the properties. The view is just superb for sunsets.

Surprise, surprise. Imagine my *lack* of surprise to log onto Yelp and to read about the…read moreillustrious Chris and his antics. I rented a place last weekend and had to call Chris while all the smoke detectors were going off because the fireplace flue was closed and the whole place full of smoke. No instructions about how to open flue or that it even needed to be opened before using. He was rude and childish. The fire dept. came and the whole house smelled like smoke all weekend which I guess was better than the overriding mold smell of the place before the smoke incident. He responded to no messages all weekend even when we notified him that the fire dept. had not put out the log properly and the deck had apparently had a small fire under it. The property will get bad reviews on Air B and B now because of him. He didn't do his job and is childish to boot.
