Absolutely loved Porto Bodega Marina RV Park. It was quiet and the views were spectacular. I loved being able to walk along the harbor marina and see the sea lions and bird life. The two restaurants were also great to have within walking distance.... Highly recommend the Bacon Monkey Bread with drizzled caramel from Ginnichios! Is it a little on the pricey side? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes, imo! I loved having the open fire pit and spaces were more than adequate. Doggie friendly as well. So many great restaurants within a short driving distance. Clean park, great views, clean bathrooms, easy access to downtown, and a quiet location! While I appreciate the waterfront parking, I think the pricing is a bit high for what it is. I expected more for the price paid for this location. I checked in after hours, I went to the office and didn't find any check in info beyond a WiFi password. We did not have access to the bathrooms until the next day when they opened. It would be nice if they had quarters in the office for guests so we don't have to run into town for change to do laundry. read more

We made our reservation in person a month prior since we were camping at a nearby campground. They are friendly and welcoming. It was a simple and straightforward experience. The lot we took was number 4. The other lots were fully booked so we didn't have much of a choice other than 5 and 6 which are the cheapest rates I believe. No matter what lot you choose, you are within walking distance to the bay. I've been to RV parks tighter in space than these so it wasn't much of an issue. Restrooms do include showers and are maintained. There are restaurants within walking distance as well that adds to the glamping experience. Highly recommended, but reserve far in advance for more options. read more

Pros: pretty view, dog friendly, easy access to Marina, several restaurants nearby and close to a lot of beautiful coastline (take the time to drive up the road a bit and visit Jenner, where the Russian River meets the ocean). Cons: Definitely a parking lot vibe. For the price, we were expecting much better amenities. Trash needs to be dumped more often, especially when campground is full. Lots of trash bags laying around garbage cans. The bathrooms were dirty & it appeared they were never cleaned during our entire three night stay (with a full campground). A used condom was found on the floor of the shower one day and was still there the next. Overall, unfortunately we did not feel like we "got what we paid for" here. read more

Fished the New Sea Angler with Captain Rick. Limited out on Rock fish right away and moved on to King Salmon. A really great day fishing. Rick is a good captain but gives newcomers little to no direction at all. You are left to ask questions from others on board or the deck hands. From the time you try to find the building to check in till you leave the boat you are trying to figure your way through every step. The deck hands on the New Sea Angler are great and really the inly reason this review isnt lower. Those guys work very hard to make sure you have a great time. Get there early and go straight to the boat to get your spots on the back of the boat. Send 1 person to the little building to buy bait and tackle. All in all a great trip out and a ton of fish in the freezer. read more

This place is amazing! Love the small quaint friendliness of the campground. Beautiful water front campsites, with about half of them being full hookups. It is a little challenging to locate the office and where you should initially park to check in. The staff is very friendly and will provide recommendations to the local hotspots and festivals. Oh wait, there is more, did I mention there is a wine bar 900 ft. from the campsites. This wine bar serves flights of wine on cute surf boards. You can sit on the patio outside, sipping your cocktails, and enjoy the beautiful water front views. This is a must go to place! read more

The spaces are small but the views are amazing. Space 39-37 are a wide open water view. Full hookups and excellent cable. WiFi is touchy if there is a lot of wind. Pet friendly and centrally located for dining and exploring . During the week is much quieter then weekends. This RV campground is more for a adult setting . I would Not recommend bringing small children here unless you plan on leaving and being at the beach for the day. Bathrooms are spotless and they have a beautiful laundry facility . $1.75 to wash and $1.25 to dry. read more

This is one of two RV places that mean hubby always come to every single year. We love Porto Marina because it sits in an inlet in the bay where you can get a site close enough to the water. It gets pretty slammed in here during the high season so make sure you make a reservation. They also have about 10 dry camping spots here that's right across from the bathrooms. I love that there are a handful of spots that can fit or 38 feet Rig. The last time we came here we couldn't fit into a spot so they swapped us around it also happen to be the World Cup and in their Play house there's a full kitchen there and TV that they allowed us to come watch one of the games at. The staff here are very friendly and super helpful. One of the changes I notice for 2020 was that they do charge a $10 reservation fee on top of your site fees. That's only good for summer when it's really packing you know the spot you wanna be in. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit provided with water and amp hook up. There is a full bathroom and shower here and it is within walking distance from two restaurants. A nice peaceful place to relax at indefinitely. read more

This is a great place to sit by the bay with full hookups. The staff keep it clean and are proactively helpful. The price is getting concerning at 110 per night for the waterside locations. But I have to admit it is pretty cool to hear the sea lions at night and the fog horn every 15 seconds. The bathrooms are clean and warm. Our neighbors are friendly and hospitable. Boats are constantly slipping in and out to go fishing. Just a nice place to be. read more

Gravel parking lot with a view in a run-down marina. Sites/setting: Contrary to other reviews, I didn't feel that the sites were terribly tight, but it has that "open parking lot" feeling with very little trees, bushes, etc to separate you from your neighbors. Everything is gravel, no grassy patches. The marina itself looked pretty rough. I'm sure it was nice in the past, but it looks very unmaintained and rundown. We were unable to get a site on the water, so my review is based on staying in one of the interior sites. The sites on the water had a great view although no usable "beach" space. Amenities/Utilities: All sites have picnic tables and a nice large fire pit. No laundry facility. No dog park/area, but doggie bags were provided. No playground or play area. There were two restaurants in the marina one that served breakfast and lunch and a wine bar that served lunch and dinner (closes at 8pm). No military discount offered. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Initially we didn't mind paying the $75 a night since were were going to be right near the water, but overall I felt like it was extremely overpriced for what it was. If you don't need hook-ups look into staying at Doran Regional Park. read more

We've been coming here since 2012. Same old potholes, same gravel sites but OUTRAGEOUS price increase! $110.00 per night plus 14% occupancy tax. Total =$125.00 per night. Last year the total price was about $75.00 per night. We won't be returning. Traveling around the US and Canada, we've never paid this amount, even at top notch RV resorts with many amenities. Hope the new owner knows what he's doing. His new pricing has priced us out as repeat customers. We'll stay up the road at Bodega Bay RV Park instead. P.S. Ok, this is a nice location, on Bodega Bay. Nice views of bay and marina. Sonoma coast up Route 1 is spectacular. More desirable RV spaces are pricey. Now back to us and our RV -- for some reason the shower in our RV would barely provide water. That means we had to use camp bathroom facilities. My wife says that there were two showers in the ladies bath, one filled with insects, the other no insects but no warm water. So, back to the shower with the bugs. It barely had warm water. One of the toilets was unspeakable. The door knob on exterior door was missing, perhaps causing door to remain ajar ... to let in the bugs. BTW door knob was missing two years ago. Our message to management is -- if you charge a full rate for RV sites please cover your end of the deal. Spend some of that money to keep bathroom facilities spic and span. read more

We really enjoyed our first experience at this rv Park. When we checked in and we returned later in our weekend to book another trip, the ladies were very nice and helpful both times. Yes the lot is gravel but no big deal to us. It was level and we did not notice any potholes and it was clean. The only thing we thought needed work was the fire pits. They were full and many of them were partially breaking apart (concrete blocks). It was great to be able to walk across the park to Ginochio's, a nice little breakfast and lunch restaurant, great food and pastries. Right next door is a wine bar/ restaurant which had a tasty selection of wines/beers and a really fresh plate of mussels in a garlicky white wine broth-sooo good. We sat outside and with a beautiful view of the marina and bay. Overall it was a great weekend. read more

Quaint Marina and Riley only stay tonight, we were disappointed with the high price and lack of amenities. Example if you wanted Wi-Fi, you had to pay five dollars per day. There was not convenient trash receptacles or a pace to buy ice. read more

As camping sites go this place is pretty plain. No trees, gravel spaces and paved roads. Location is great and the sites are pretty level. There is a boat launch. And lots to do very close by. Most of the people here are friendly enough. The "quite" hours are not enforced, the office closes at 5:00 and you hardly see any employees during the day and never at night. So unless you're a social night owl or have a sound proof rv I wouldn't recommend staying here. read more

My husband has been coming to stay here for 20 years at the Porto Bodega, 2016 was my first year here. It is undeniably a beautiful place to stay. However, in 2016 the nightly rate was $57.00 for full hook ups. Their cable TV service is horrendous. However you really aren't coming there for the cable hook up. Each year the prices have increase by or around 20-25% To now the 4th year where we are now at $102.50 a night!!!! Not to mention they now have a $10.00 reservation fee which is non-refundable (understandable) but should be built into the cost of the first night.... NO, it's added on top of the cost so now they are not only gouging you for $102.50 a night but a $10.00 fee for the first night is not deducted it is added to total $112.50 for the first night...they should be ashamed! I am sure they are completely aware of how their prices have affected their business the parking lot at this time of year is usually 75% occupancy it is now down to just three trailers. It's really a shame what greed has done to such a thriving business. If the staff were rude or horrible I would give them one star. However, this review is solely based on the GREED factor. I would like to be able to re-write this review with a more positive take. But somehow I find it unlikely that the prices may change. read more

My advice is to avoid this overpriced spot which is in serious need of upgrades. Your WiFi doesn't work, so don't tell customers you have it. But the real slap in the face is that even at 630 am there is no hot water in either the men's or women's showers. We have delayed our departure waiting for a tank recovery because I need a shower. Good sized sites, clean restrooms, and helpful staff. Ample parking for extra vehicles and visitors. I recommend getting one of the waterfront rather than interior sites. The sites that face harbor don't have hook ups, but for a weekend getaway that is no big deal. Nice location with many amazing views and lots to do. Spud Point Crab Co. and Bodega Head are musts. Ginochio's is within walking distance and has good coffee and breakfast (try the monkey bread). read more

Been coming for a few years now, this last stay was such a horrible experience have decided never to return and share my experience on Yelp to worn other RVers. Made our reservations with two other sets of friends (total of three sites) a year in advance. Called to confirm reservations a few weeks prior to reservation which was for Sept this year and found out that the new owners decided to turn our site and the other two sites into permanent trailer rentals and moved us to other sites. Rates for these sites have jumped so high and no updates to camp ground, potholes everywhere, and dirty campsites. read more

This is a friendly little RV Park right on Bodega Harbor. Some of the spots are water front and you can choose from full hook-ups ($40) to dry camping for $28. We had a group of RVers and they let us use their modern clubhouse (with a fridge, stove and sink) for our dinner gatherings. It's fun to walk around the marina and see all the old boats. It's easy to make reservations and we come here every year. Porto Bodega also has bathrooms, showers and laundry. They also have a marina and vacation rentals. No tents are allowed. In addition to the rugged beauty of the surrounding landscape, there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied in Bodega Bay (like hiking and flying kites.) We bought fresh live crab from the local boats, and cooked it up ourselves. There are also charming kite and taffy stores nearby and plenty of restaurants that claim the best clam chowder in town. Fun fact: The nearby little town of Bodega became famous when it starred in the Hitchcock horror flick The Birds. read more

Beautiful location right on the water. Will definitely return again. Two criticisms I have are wifi and bathrooms. There is only wifi in the clubhouse and nothing in the park. If you like to be connected this is not the place for you. Second, the bathrooms are ok. The management asks that the fans be turned off when you leave and there is no air circulation which has resulted in mold in the showers. It's not horrible but I hope they work on it. Ok...now the good. Location is A+++. The clubhouse is beautiful. Spaces are nice sized and the ones on the water are top notch. Very dog friendly with dog waste stations throughout the park. You can walk all around the bay right from the park. read more

Porto Bodega is a great central place to stay for the views and to get around Bodega Bay. The golf course is very close and the commercial fisherman sell fresh crab right there (when in season). Local restaurants are great too. But, a shout-out needs to go to Kelly who runs the office. She is a great host for the "campers". Rocky, the parks handyman is great too. He's friendly and is always ready to assist you. I like it here. Brings your bicycles, golf clubs, fishing rod, kayak or a camp chair. Have fun. read more

This place was extremely easy to camp and park at. It is right up in the bay if you want full hook ups and to be next to the water then come here. But let me warn you they are extremely overpriced! For what you get $105 a night is not worth it and for that reason alone I am not sure we will be back to this location. There is a nice restaurant and wine bar within walking distance and if you want to charter fish or crab the dock is right there with information. Also, each site comes with a fire pit which is nice. But it's literally one big parking lot with a few bushes. read more

Best RV park and place to stay for full hookups in the Bodega Bay Area in my opinion. We made reservations 2 months in advance because we were staying one night on the weekend and a few extra days. They only had one spot available that far WOW.Was not our first choice of where we would stay in the park but very nice Site Long Level full hookups good view especially when everybody pulled out on Sunday. The staff here is so friendly and so accommodating it is unbelievable. What a nice place and we will definitely be back. We have stayed many times over the years. read more

This review is for the RV park. We enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff was courteous and kind. We called ahead and prepaid, no issues there. They did not charge extra for additional persons, so that is awesome. We had a spot right on the water with full hookups which was great, also our site was dead on level. Our one maintenance issue (my fault) was addressed and repaired immediately. The shower/bathroom facilities were clean and easily accessible. Fair warning, the foghorn goes off about once a minute all day/night. This was not a major inconvenience (much better than wrecks on the rocks). read more

Love this place. Freindly hosts, clean bathrooms, clean and orderly gounds, and it is very beautiful. The other campers were also very freindly and the evenings are very quiet. The ocean is very close if you drive, we walked to it and it is about a 45 minute walk. We go to rv parks all over northern California and this is definitely a place that I will start coming back to regularly. There are restaurants and stores within walking distance. We don't tow a vehicle with our motor home and I forgot the dogs food, we were able to take a 10 minute walk to a quaint store and get some. They have several full hook up sites and everything worked well in mine. I reserved my spot with very short notice with no problems. Next time I would like to get one of the water spots as they are very beautiful. I highly recommend checking this place out we had a great time. read more

A group of us have been coming here for years to enjoy the fishing and crabbing. The place has always been a little run down but the location is great. The new owners have decided to raise the rate to $125.00 a night for gravel sites, roads with pot holes the size of a small car, they don't empty the trash cans or clean the fire pits. The marina docks are so rotted I would be afraid to walk on them. Our group will not be coming back at this price, there are much nicer places that are cheaper. read more

Well, we just stayed here for the last time. We have been coming here for 20 years now? It started out as very affordable for many years, and with many grandkids through those years of fun! A few years ago they improved it with a new ownership. I did see some better changes with doggy poop stations, etc. Well we stayed here last week on our annual bay site view for last years rates when I booked then. Oh wow, this year I never could get online once to download anything for the day. I had to use my phone data allowance which exceeded my limit for even more money. Dog poop was everywhere and trash was picked up after cans were too full to add more. Our dog was turning into a scavenger with the food left on the ground by other campers. We decided to leave a day early. How can a place charge top dollar for a resort price for so little, they don't even measure up! Corporate must have their as##$ up their heads, or are not paying attention anymore! Tomorrow we head to a beautiful KOA around Santa Cruz for a much better rate per night.
