More like jail than camping -- families beware. This RV park is absolutely not family-friendly. Families and groups of friends are not welcome -- even normal conversation outside "quiet hours" can get you kicked out. My family arrived at 9pm, set up quietly, and went to bed. I was two sites away from friends who were simply talking, and I couldn't hear a thing. Still, management evicted our entire group -- 9 campsites in total. By morning, a sheriff was outside our trailer. To his credit, he was calm, professional, and quickly saw we were just working professionals with kids. He even helped us find a friendlier campground that had a far better view of the water. Meanwhile, this park hands out a bizarre two-page "sin list" that literally calls children a "deadly sin." Bottom line: This place feels more like jail than a campground. Unless you plan on absolute silence, you risk being thrown out. Stay at one of the nearby RV parks -- they're friendlier and offer better views. read more

We had a very negative experience at this RV park due to the behavior of the managers. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome and even discriminated against. While we were simply sitting outside and talking, the manager showed up unannounced, never introduced themselves, and immediately accused us of being too loud. Instead of handling the situation in a respectful or professional way, they became extremely aggressive and threatening. We were told to leave on the spot, and when we asked for clarification, they claimed that if we didn't leave immediately, we would be considered trespassing. The manager escalated further by yelling at us, and eventually called the sheriff. Adding to the hostility, the park even has something in writing called the "7 Deadly Sins of RV Camping" -- shockingly, one of those "sins" listed is children. That alone says a lot about how little regard they have for families or guest comfort. Unfortunately we will never know if our kids are considered "well behaved" in their eyes since we left before our kids could even set foot on this place. This place is absolutely not for families with children or for multiple families looking to relax and hang out together by the campfire. It seems they do not want people spending time outside their RVs at all, which defeats the whole purpose of camping. Everything said about the managers in the other reviews is true -- they are rude, unprofessional, and create a hostile environment for guests. This type of treatment is completely unacceptable and made our stay very unpleasant. Save yourself the stress -- don't waste your time or money here. I'd camped here years ago and I didn't have much recollection of this place as it was just an overnight stay. From my recollection, we pulled in with no reservations, but got the last spot and was grateful for these folks. Fast forward to maybe a decade later, I had the opportunity to hang out with my camping group for a few days and this place was much better than what I remember. Though the spaces are fairly tight, the park is nicely maintained and the maintenance staff seems to be constantly at work making sure everything is up to snuff. It's located just a bit off the road of Highway 1, making it convenient to find and to park at the end of your journey to Bodega Bay. And, they're so close to all Bodega Bay and all the highlights of the area, such as Bodega Head, the town of Bodega, Valley Ford to the south and Russian River to the north. If you enjoy being treated like criminals for the heinous act of... talking after 9pm, this is the place for you! The husband-and-wife camp host duo must moonlight as hall monitors, because they patrol like it's their life's calling. We had the audacity to laugh and let kids be kids--big mistake. Next thing you know, the Sheriff is showing up because apparently conversation equals chaos. They acted like we were running a full-on carnival cruise and throwing chairs overboard, when in reality we were just sitting around with families. We usually camp with 8-20 families, and this takes the crown as the worst experience we've ever had. Karen could take lessons from these two. read more

When you book a full hook-up RV park, you expect electricity, water, and a sewer line--not an audition for "America's Next Top Librarian." Apparently, last Friday night, we became the designated problem children of the campground. Now, let me set the scene. We're not a band of rowdy college kids playing beer pong off the tailgate. We're adults. Parents. Professionals. Our idea of a wild night is gathering around a propane campfire (the most wholesome, Home Depot-approved fire imaginable), sipping wine, and swapping stories about how our backs hurt. Truly, the debauchery was unthinkable. Enter barefoot woman with a dog. She creeps out of the shadows like a campground ninja and declares: "It's quiet hour." Fair. We respect the rules. We turn off our music (which, by the way, was "pleasant background noise" at best--Spotify's version of white noise for us GenXers). We resume chatting in what I would call "suburban cul-de-sac voices." But apparently, we were still too raucous for this particular couple, because ten minutes later, she reappears--with her husband this time--like she'd called in backup from the HOA Avengers. They start berating us like we just set off fireworks inside their RV bathroom. We're confused. Who are these people? Self-appointed "Sheriffs of Sleepytown"? We politely explain that the eight surrounding sites belong to us. Literally everyone within earshot is either related, married, or obligated to love us. No one is being disturbed. In fact, my husband--working inside our Airstream next to our "scandalous" gathering--didn't even know what was happening out there. That's how "loud" we were. Campground Karen and Ken, unsatisfied, threatens to call the actual sheriff. And we, being reasonable wine-fueled professionals, said: "Cool. Please do." Cue Sheriff Jeremy. Poor guy. He pulls up after 10 p.m. expecting an episode of "Cops" and instead finds... a group of parents in camping chairs whispering about Costco rotisserie chicken and other mundane things in our lives. He tells us the camp hosts want us to leave immediately. With kids asleep in the RV. While the adults have been responsibly drinking wine. At 10 p.m. On planet Earth. RIDICULOUS!! Sheriff Jeremy, God bless him, clearly realized the camp managers were nuttier than squirrel turds and helped us transfer to another RV park the next morning. Final review: -100 stars. Would not recommend. The only people who might enjoy this park are retirees who eat dinner at 3:45 p.m., consider Jeopardy raucous, and believe "quiet hour" begins immediately after Judge Judy. read more

absolutely love this place. the only thing. they should not advertise free wifi. it is total garbage.. everything buffs every 15 seconds. so a 2 hour movie takes like 5 hours if you can take it. i bring my laptop can't even read the paper. wifi internet worst place we have ever had in 3 years with our trailer. read more

Very clean and well kept. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars is because we have a class c RV and don't tow a car, therefore we have to ride share to most places. They do have a coffee shop and a Mexican restaurant on site. However even though the wharf is only ~1 mile away there is no trail to walk there and hwy is not safely walkable. They have level spots so no leveling required, which is a plus. They have some fun activities to do like a putting green, bocce ball court and cornhole. They offer lots of entertainment for your tv like free cable and loanable dvd's. The park is also adjacent to a community garden that has a farmers market on Sunday mornings. Very clean, quiet and well-run RV park. Have stayed here many times, always good. Can be windy and cold but that is true of all of Bodega. This place does have some shelter due to big trees surrounding it. Convenient to everything. Groomed gravel sites. Some are fhu, some lack sewer but there is a free dump station. Quiet with strict rules. No fire pit in our site, so we used our gas one. 3 restaurants nearby. Lots of free DVDS to borrow. Convenient to everything. Not cheap, but there is a Good Sam discount. read more

Have stayed here multiple times. Friendly staff and exceptionally clean grounds and restroom. Came during the opening days of crab season 2025 and the place was jam packed. I have been staying at the RV park for more than 30 years during the summer months. In my opinion and experience says there are two sides to all stories. I personally have seen families come and stay for five or more days and the kids were well behaved, respectful and played outside freely within the guidelines of the park. Now, the families that allow their kids to run through others campsites screaming non stop, without regard of campground rules is usually the end result in being asked to leave. It is the managements responsibility to maintain the fine balance of each person's reason to go camping. Some are just wanting peace and quiet as maybe they are escaping life for a brief moment due to a long illness, or loss of a loved one, or just to release all the stress of life, for moment in time. We just need to respect each other in these very close settings. Just my perspective and opinion. read more

Stayed for 2 nights. Good location for RV but must have car to get to beach or town. Great mexican restaurant on site - excellent shredded chicken burrito. Also next door to community park with garden and path to walking trails. Water, electrical, cable and sewer connections were good - cable channels are very limited. Free WiFi but very very slow and you cannot stream movies but they offer tons of DVDs to use while there. I dont have a DVD player but good to know for future. Staff super friendly - park was near empty as requires 2 night minimum. Stayed on spot #8 - pull in gravel pad with small pad of grass in front of RV. read more

Alright, let me be honest based on several of the other reviews I was really concerned staying here. But, I'm so glad we did. We checked in on Sunday June 12, and the manager was extremely kind and helpful. The park was very clean, and well maintained, the bathrooms were great and dog park was perfect. For those of you looking to party then this place is not for you. This park is very peaceful as it should be so you can hear the fog horns and enjoy the beauty of the ocean and hills. Only thing I wish we knew ahead of time was you can have a fire on your site. Besides that perfect stay! read more

STAY AWAY!!! Extremely rude staff. The manager is two faced. She acts nice then charges you behind your back after discussing charges. They nickle and dime you for everything. Example. Stay Away. The reviews are correct: the park was clean, the other guests were friendly, and there was a nice hike to the ocean. Unfortunately, those other reviews are also correct: the on-site manager is a lunatic. She was definitely nice at first. She had made an exception to book us for only one night, she was all smiles and waves when we arrived and when we bought our firepit and wood, and she even spent a while going over the map with me talking about how our family should go to the state park and beach, with thorough directions. The next day we left the park with happy memories that lasted until I checked my voicemail on the way home. There was a message for me from the on-site manager accusing me of stealing, the day before, a magnet from her desk, directly in front of her while she was watching, and that I was forbidden from returning as a guest. It should be needless to say that I did not see, much less take, a magnet. You'll just have to take my word that I do not visit hotels or RV parks, brazenly pocket articles from the office in front of the manager and then talk about it on review sites. That is not my M.O. I emailed a reply emphatically stating that I did no such thing, and was expecting a reply that she had confused me with someone else, had found the misplaced magnet, or had just been hallucinating. Nope. She doubled down: my actions "showed a great deal of my character in an unfavorable light" and I was banned from the park. Trust me, being accused of stealing and getting 86ed from an RV park is not how you want to cap an otherwise pleasant, wholesome family vacation. Pretty clean and nice RV park. The spaces are decent in size. Most facilities were blocked off due to covid19, but I saw that they had a bocce ball court, putting green, communal fire pit. You can also rent a fire pit for your space and also purchase firewood from the camp store. Really nice tall trees surrounding the grounds. Also a nice short stroll to a memorial and wonderful bells structure. Excellent walk, 1.2 mi, to Bodega dunes Beach. See the attached map that was given to me by the office. You can drive there but keep in mind you have to pay for entrance. If you walk, entrance is free. The beach is fantastic. Fine white sand. Wide and open, plenty of space to socially distance. Directions to beach (for walking): 1. From the RV campgrounds, walk toward the stone monument. 2. Instead of continuing to the left to the bells, make a right. You'll walk on a compressed granite walkway. 3. When you reach the asphalt road, make a left. Continue down the asphalt road. 4. The park is nice and clean, so are the bathrooms. But our site and most sites are full of sticker burs, which would stick in our dogs paws. And our trailer was full of them from our shoes and the dogs paws. We were with a group so we had the clubhouse. 3 times the long hair guy came in and yelled at us to keep the noise down. It was somewhere between 7 and 830pm. He yelled at us saying he was not our babysitter. Bathrooms are super clean on a good note! We probably won't be back any time soon. read more

I'm so sad to write this review because my kids at ages 3 and 5 have a special place in their hearts for this campground, and love to see "the frog and toad" at the front entrance. My family and I stayed in the dry camping spots at this RV park many days this past summer; escaping high heats and wildfire smoke, we would stay here for ~2 days at a time to give our kids a rest from the reality of 2021. Our last trip prior to school starting, we called from our spot at Lawson's Landing to see if there was availability for us to come up the coast and stay here one last time before the end of summer. The woman, whose gruff customer service skills I had been happy to ignore prior, told me we couldn't because we had exceeded the maximum 15 consecutive nights in a month. But...this wasn't true, at all. We have a small Class B and the most nights our family of 4 has ever used it consecutively is 6 nights, and not all at her place. We had in fact stayed there a total of 9 days through that month, and not consecutively. There is a class A parked by the dog park that was there the entire summer. I noticed he was always there and so I asked the maintenance man on our second trip there if there was a max limit out of curiosity, he said not really. When I pressed on her why we couldn't stay, gently pointing out that she was nowhere near correct in her facts, she got really aggressive. I sincerely wanted to understand the policy, because I sincerely liked staying here even though the vibe wasn't super welcoming of kids. All I wanted was to understand why she was being discriminatory and not allowing us to stay, it felt baselessly personal and really mean. I wrote them two emails explaining the impact of that; that my businesses were closed for 15 months for the pandemic, my family had to move as a result to keep the business afloat and my kids had lost so much that their place had been a really bright spot for us. I never received any response. This was in September and its clearly still making me sad. So, I would caution bringing your family here. Although I doubt this specific situation would repeat itself for you, it seems they could deny your business or be discriminatory towards anyone they want without reason, and that puts you the consumer at risk. I would look towards the state beach campgrounds in the area, or head down the coast to the always friendly Lawson's Landing for a better experience where you might be feel appreciated as a customer instead of a burden. read more

We stayed one night here and was given spot 102. It worked out good because we had to leave early and were able to just pull right out without bothering anyone. If you try to check in early you will have to pay extra so we waited. I didn't use restroom facilities but I was told you don't need coins it comes with your stay. I did use the laundry room which was clean. $2 to wash and $2 to dry. Be aware the spaces are very small and your only allowed one car per spot. If you have another car it is $5 extra. We did use the onsite restaurant which was amazing and we did walk to the bell tower after dinner. The campground is VERY quiet. We would stay again if we needed to. read more

The female camp host has terrible customer service skills. We have been staying at this place for the past 10 years for an annual crabbing trip. We have a large group of friends that go every year. She is rude and obnoxious. She banned our group of 30 from the campground indefinitely for playing music. It was not quiet time yet. And we were singled out. read more

We are updating our review of this place because we booked here again, discussed the previous experience with management, found out they had put a bad mark on our record but said it wasn't an issue. Our parents had a separate booking next to us. 9 days before our vacation, they sent us an email saying our reservation is canceled and we are no longer welcome at their facility. That pretty much feels like retaliation for the first review. I guess the moral of the story is, be the only shop in town and you don't have to care what you're customers think. We loved this RV park! This was our first time going & we'll definitely be back. It's really clean and the people who run it are very nice & helpful. Almost all the spots are gravel that's groomed daily & most spots are full hook ups. It's in a good area and there's a great little coffee shop & taqueria right up the road that's super convenient. They have 2 small dog runs & everyone there kept their dogs on leash while walking around, which is huge for us since our guy isn't friendly with other dogs. It would be a long walk to shops, restaurants or beaches but it's only minutes by car. There's a memorial bell tower Nextdoor that's worth seeing, the story behind it is very touching. There is so much to see along the coast & in the area, this RV park is a good base camp. We actually only live an hour away and it was nice knowing it wasn't just a day trip so we could enjoy the area fully & even explore new places. You can't beat the beauty of the coast! read more

I will never stay at this campground again. If you have kids STAY far away from this campground!... this RV park is catered towards older people. There's no park, no bikes or scooters allowed on campground. God forbid one of the campers catch you on your scooter, they will FOR sure say something to you. They are so strict on noise past nine pm at this campground also. Do not come here if you have a group or kids, noisy dogs. They will either say something or kick you out. The cafe charged my card $3,000 for a coffee on accident. It didn't go through cause I don't have that much in my account but that's a pretty careless mistake for them to make. read more

Very nice small campground in Bodega Bay. Each site has privacy fence and picnic table. No firepits so its great to have a campground where the air is not full of smoke. Sites have selection of amenities depending on what you need. Full hook ups to no hook ups available. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There is a little cafe at the entrance in case you don't want to make your own coffee. RV storage available. On Sunday mornings can walk over to the farmers market. We looked for an RV park near Russian River Brewery in Santa Rosa for our first shake-down trip in our new 5th wheel (step upgrades from a pop- then TT). We couldn't find any in the near vicinity, but reviews were high for this park. So, we booked. And then realized the time we booked was overtaken by events and needed to reschedule. There was a $10 cancellation fee, and refund of deposit was seamless. We rescheduled for the following week and are just ending our trip tomorrow. The spaces here are wide and long, plenty of space to accommodate our 30' 5th wheel and F-250. The park is very quiet and sits next to a park and trails that go to the ocean. There are a variety of hookups from none, W & E, to full. Since we travel with our dog, the trails got plenty of use - they're extremely well taken care of and provide a much needed walk for us and our dog. I also ran the trails, which made for an amazing morning run. The park owners keep the grounds very nice and are super friendly. I know you're wondering: it's only 22 or so miles from Russian River Brewery. ;) The park is in very close proximity to amazing fish tacos. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway on the coast and don't want to boondock, book your time here. You won't regret it. While there are no ocean views, you're close enough - walk to the beach or drive to the wharf. read more

This is a great park to rv. Clean and very well kept. Staff here are exceptional. Quiet park which is nice to have. Fire pits available from the front desk. Restrictions for c19 are in place so the bathroom and showers are closed for the moment. Prices are reasonable. And they do accept pets. read more

Yes - I have read the majority of the reviews - good and bad. We had a very pleasant experience here. When we arrived we were a bit early but upon asking we were offered to take our space earlier than normal check in for a $10 fee which we accepted. The management was very clear and extremely firm about the rules of the RV park! We were presented with a nice glossy map of the park, a list of the rules regarding cleaning of fish/crab in the park and an explanation of how the hookups work since we were renting an RV from Cruise America. Considering the current Covid rules and regulations we were not surprised that many of the amenities were not available. Our site was cleaned and ready to go. The rocks were even raked in a pleasing pattern. If you have OCD you know that this actually matters! The manager and employees took extra care to ensure everyone followed the rules which, in reality, makes it a better experience for the other campers. There are two dog run areas - one for small dogs and one for large dogs. They kept those areas clean and provided very nice bags for doggy poop pick up. It certainly was not what I was expecting! This park is located very close to all the shops, restaurants and wine tasting and just a few minute drive to Spud Point. There is a beautiful trail as well right off the North side of the park which has a lovely memorial, bells and a tree full of personalized items hanging from the branches. The managers can seem a bit gruff but from my perspective they are just making sure the rules are established and followed to allow for everyone to have a pleasant stay there. Our first camping experience with our new Rv, of course we missed a few important items such as leveling items but after watching all the pros out here now we will be more prepared, this camp had a nice ambiance plus a mile long trail to the beach, plus Sean at the office was of great help since we had lots of questions, also he enjoys plant based food in case you feel the need to share your food , we gave him 2 cheese tamales and he gladly took them home, hope he liked them. read more
