This is internet speeds....20 years ago AOL was faster with dial up.

absolutely love this place. the only thing. they should not advertise free wifi. it is total garbage.. everything buffs every 15 seconds. so a 2 hour movie takes like 5 hours if you can take it. i bring my laptop can't even read the paper. wifi internet worst place we have ever had in 3 years with our trailer.

    Beautiful front entrance

Very clean and well kept. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars is because we have a class c RV and don't tow a car, therefore we have to ride share to most places. They do have a coffee shop and a Mexican restaurant on site. However even though the wharf is only ~1 mile away there is no trail to walk there and hwy is not safely walkable. They have level spots so no leveling required, which is a plus. They have some fun activities to do like a putting green, bocce ball court and cornhole. They offer lots of entertainment for your tv like free cable and loanable dvd's. The park is also adjacent to a community garden that has a farmers market on Sunday mornings. Would definitely recommend.

This view right down the street from the RV park! This is in late October 2024

Always clean and everyone is so friendly including the staff. A bonus is the Sunflower Cafe in front of the main entrance and also a Mexican restaurant as well.

Super cozy spot for our trailer and clean

This RV park is awesome! So clean and the people that run it are amazing! We took a first time with our trailer here and will be back again and again. All the hookups work perfectly and the facilities are clean. Everything you want to do is very close and convenient.

    seems nice enough!

Stay Away. The reviews are correct: the park was clean, the other guests were friendly, and there was a nice hike to the ocean. Unfortunately, those other reviews are also correct: the on-site manager is a lunatic. She was definitely nice at first. She had made an exception to book us for only one night, she was all smiles and waves when we arrived and when we bought our firepit and wood, and she even spent a while going over the map with me talking about how our family should go to the state park and beach, with thorough directions. The next day we left the park with happy memories that lasted until I checked my voicemail on the way home. There was a message for me from the on-site manager accusing me of stealing, the day before, a magnet from her desk, directly in front of her while she was watching, and that I was forbidden from returning as a guest. It should be needless to say that I did not see, much less take, a magnet. You'll just have to take my word that I do not visit hotels or RV parks, brazenly pocket articles from the office in front of the manager and then talk about it on review sites. That is not my M.O. I emailed a reply emphatically stating that I did no such thing, and was expecting a reply that she had confused me with someone else, had found the misplaced magnet, or had just been hallucinating. Nope. She doubled down: my actions "showed a great deal of my character in an unfavorable light" and I was banned from the park. Trust me, being accused of stealing and getting 86ed from an RV park is not how you want to cap an otherwise pleasant, wholesome family vacation. The woman is unwell, and dealing with her is a real bummer. Stay away.

Ask the Community - Bodega Bay RV Park

Does this park have beach access?

No it does not. The beach isn't too far of a drive.

Should we brink our bicycles? Is it safe and is there anyplace near to rise them to?

I was just there about a month ago. Nice R.V. park. If you were to ride, it would have to mostly be in the park. The trails are a bit rough for bikes and the highway is not really safe. They have a lot of rules in the park, I would ask if bike… Read more

She is such a kind and generous person. She allowed me to use her WiFi, her phone, and let me and my kids wait for hours while our tow truck came. While waiting we got to see the plants and items she sells at her shop. She has beautiful hand crafted items as well as plants that are clearly very healthy and well cared for. Each plant was in a unique mug surrounded by sea glass or tiny sea stars. She has very neat antiques and even handmade crocheted items. I got to see her building some of her artwork made of natural materials like driftwood and abalone shells. She gifted my children a book and other things to keep them occupied while we were stranded. She has such a beautiful heart and beautiful store. It's definitely worth a stop by.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds I've ever been to!!! Kelly and Mikal treat their guests like family. From the first time I called Kelly was so kind and helpful. I have been numerous times now and it feels like going to a little slice of heaven each time. It's clean, beautiful, quiet, and they live on site so if there's an issue they are there to help! The sites are spread out and spacious so you won't have someone right on top of you. The sites are kept up so nicely and the campground itself is simply gorgeous. The bathrooms are clean, there are several free showers, and there is firewood for sale as well. The town of Guerneville itself is only five minutes away, and there are tons of cute little shops as well as a major grocery store. There are darling little art galleries, clothing stores, bakeries, ice cream shops, coffee shops, etc. The ocean is only a 25 minute drive down the road. There are endless little beaches to stop at, as well as numerous little beachside towns with restaurants and coffee shops. You can spend a whole day exploring highway 1, then head back to your campsite to relax. I feel so lucky to only live 3 hours away and be able to head there any time I want. I'm so grateful to Kelly and Mikal for being so accommodating and kind.

The Owner, a person I would NEVER want to be be associated with. A real piece of work. Observed many times over the years shares entitled rude behavior with that of a tycoon. Two years ago, I'll never forget, this guy was complaining to ANY Customer who would listen about how he does so much to keep this place open and that people that complain about anything and everything are so ungrateful. It was really really colorful and downright disgusting. Excuse me? The people that PAY YOUR TAXES are ungrateful that you don't upgrade the sites they pay extreme amounts for? That you don't offer any amenities such as a shower or even that thing called...electricity? That you cater towards camping trailers with no water hookups? Mmmm, ok guy. Breathe. You do not provide toilets. Let alone ADA compliant areas for the toilets. You provide nasty ports potty that aren't even level on the ground. How is anyone supposed to wheelchair into the porta potty? They shake when you are in them. And they are disgusting. Your workers? blast them with a sudo washer and don't even take out the seat covers OR the toilet paper....and miss all the grossness. And then leave the residual water/product....that's just nasty. You blast gross stuff off the floor ONTO the toilet paper and seat covers because of laziness. I mean seriously....it's barely 50 outside and now I have to sit on a nasty went porta potty because your are too lazy to upgrade, let alone move paper until you are done? Penny pinch much? And what a concept of adding a smelly paper tree to remove some nasty stink. The photos are of the "handicap" porta potty. The others were gross, too. If not worse. These were after a "clean" too! You also do not provide electricity or anything that resembles comfort here. The grounds are totally unlevel on the camp sites. So, you won't be seeing many disabled folks here. OOOOO, all the dumpsters were FULL. Everywhere. It was a Wednesday. Majority of the camp sites are behind dunes. Unless you go to the seawall area, with no running water there either. Nothing to see but your neighbors getting drunk and dogs wandering everywhere. Fun. Never saw a "camp ranger" once. You have so many sites crammed next to one another so you can benefit off making money. 60$ for a pair of sweats? What? Like, woah guy. Ego much? Ohhhh, let's talk about the campers! Zero enforcement. Parking in other peoples spots and parking IN the roadways. Legit blocking people. And then have rude persons get defensive because they got asked politely to move their illegally parked vehicles from your purchased spot. So like, no, this place is not great. You get belligerent people and their visitors.....mmmmm, fun. This place is not worth it. Overcrowded, too. This isn'y Yosemite, and if it were, it would at least offer real amenities. This place does not.

As a newer RV owner, I especially appreciated how incredibly easy it was to access the park and our spot. That simple convenience took away a lot of the initial stress of driving a big rig and is a huge plus. The park itself is top-notch. Our spot was absolutely huge, giving us plenty of room to spread out. The entire resort is super clean, and the restrooms and showers were spacious and spotless--a real pleasure to use. A major bonus for us was that they even have designated areas for tent setups, which meant our "tent camping" friends were able to join us for the weekend. But the true magic of this location is its unbeatable proximity to everything. We were within easy walking distance of fantastic shopping, dining, and even some fun bar hopping with fancy distilleries nearby. The Marina is also just a short stroll away, where we spent time sitting and watching the otters and sea lions--it was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. We were so close to every amenity and attraction that we didn't even unhook the truck from the camper the entire weekend! Finally, I have to give a massive shout-out to the amazing host. He greeted us the second we drove in and personally walked us to our spot. He even offered a 50-amp 'dog bone' adapter because he noticed my camper was 30-amp--talk about thoughtful service! Every time he walked his adorable boxer, he would stop to greet us and check in, making sure we had everything we needed. He was consistently available and incredibly friendly. We are already planning our next trip. We will for sure be back! If you're looking for a clean, convenient, and perfectly located RV park in the Bay Area, this is it!
