What a gem at the Russian River. I have been camping here for years and my anxiety melts away as soon as we arrive. It's like coming home to visit family. Love the owners Kelly and Michael. They always ensure a great stay. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing camping weekend here at russian river! The hosts made us feel so welcome and everything at the camp grounds were serene, woodsy, private, and clean. The showers are free which is a nice perk and the sites are spacious. We stayed in sites 45-46 and we would choose these sites again. Just a reminder there is no beach access but there are two small paths that lead directly into the river. Wifi is provided and there is firewood for sale. We plan on returning! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for an unforgettable week and being gracious host at Camp Russian River. Lazy Bear wouldn't be the same without your hospitality. Can't wait until next time.

Clean, quiet, safe and walking distance to town. Fire pits and hook ups were available.

A River Gem! Headed back to beautiful Camp Russian River in historical Guerneville! We always look forward to a retreat in the redwoods. Spacious central lawn and great access to town. Nice to enjoy a campfire and relax under the stars. Owners are always helpful with our reservation process. A real central point in the Russian River area to venture out to activities. Thanks Camp Russian River for being a place we can make memories!

What a great and relaxing place to stay. Huge beautiful trees and nice large lawns. Truly a peaceful location with walking to town a piece of cake. Kelly does everything to make your stay extra special. You will not be disappointed. Thank you again for a great week.

The showers and restrooms are very clean. The resort is very much geared towards families and children. There are tons of activities for kids; basketball, table tennis, a playground, a tree house, arcade games, air hockey, etc. They also have special events for kids like movie nights, arts and crafts, pony rides, and karaoke. The resort also has private beach access. You can swim and play in the river if you want, or just relax on the shore. We stayed in one of the cabins. It had a queen size bed, nightstand, lamp, chair, dresser, and a couple small stools. There is electricity and outlets. Water, restrooms, and showers are nearby. If you stay in a cabin, I HIGHLY recommend Fish Camp #6; it's the best cabin on the entire property. It's in a quiet corner, there's no neighbors on one side and the best part is you have a STUNNING view of vineyards.

It perfectly fit our group of 13, had plenty of shade, a gorgeous view of the river and a perfect clearing in the trees for the stars at night time (: The staff was so so kind and helpful! My husband had a flat tire and they had an air pump that they were more than happy to let us use. Aly (I hope I spelled that right!) at the front desk gave us multiple recommendations for places to launch a float for different age groups that would all come back to the private beach on the campgrounds! The kids in our group ranging from 4 to 17 all loved the arcade on site and the store was amazing! Their merch is also beautiful! I got a fishing hat with a patch, a gorgeous hoodie and a couple post cards. We cannot wait to stay here again (:

It feels like such a safe and connected community that I'm comfortable letting my kids roam around with their roller blades and scooters. There are structured and scheduled camp activities for young kids, including movie night, ice-cream social, games and beach bon-fire. We stayed in a Cabin but there are so many spaces to choose from, full shaded tent camping, small and big cabins, RVs, group camping sites. It's really for everyone. Mostly, we appreciated the staff. Ms. Kattie was there to assist at check-in, she hosted the group games, she led animal feeding and educated the young kids, and showed up in her ice cream outfit doling out ice cream. You can absolutely tell she loves her job and loves the kids. Other staff showed up everywhere! There were no over flowing trash cans, bathrooms well stocked and cleaned. Maintenance showed up immediately when our CO2 alarm went off and followed up the next day. The general store staff were so friendly and helpful with really just about everything. The general store and ice cream social were so affordable! Perhaps coming from the Bay Area, we expected obscene prices but we actually joked about buying ice cream and first aid kit supplies and bringing them home. This is a place that truly seems to care about their home, their visitors and their animals. We will definitely be back.

If you want to pull up an RV you can, if you want a tent they have sites for that too. You can even rent a cottage, cabin, or covered wagon. My kids love the independence they have here. They spend hours on their bikes going from playground to playground then back to the general store. The management obviously emphasizes kid safety with speed limits and I love that I can keep an eye on them but also give them some of that space without worry. The campground is absolutely gorgeous and you can see the effort that goes into maintaining it. Everyday you will see landscapers on golf carts doing hours of watering, weeding, and mowing. The views around the campground are breathtaking. The redwood forests with patches of fog rolling in will always be something I look forward to seeing. You can easily get to Jenner or Bodega Bay too. So, there is so much natural beauty close to you. My son and I enjoy fishing in the river. My wife's happiest riding around on one of their golf carts. There is wildlife everywhere. I think one evening we counted 25 deer. I really appreciate how the Casini family takes care of it all. We have been back several times over the past few years at different times of the year and we have loved every stay. I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Each plant was in a unique mug surrounded by sea glass or tiny sea stars. She has very neat antiques and even handmade crocheted items. I got to see her building some of her artwork made of natural materials like driftwood and abalone shells. She gifted my children a book and other things to keep them occupied while we were stranded. She has such a beautiful heart and beautiful store. It's definitely worth a stop by.

Crabbing is great and there's lots to do from clamming to fishing to exploring. We saw last time they are building toilets and showers, that will be nice. We haven't experienced any rude staff. The Owner, a person I would NEVER want to be be associated with. A real piece of work. Observed many times over the years shares entitled rude behavior with that of a tycoon. Two years ago, I'll never forget, this guy was complaining to ANY Customer who would listen about how he does so much to keep this place open and that people that complain about anything and everything are so ungrateful. It was really really colorful and downright disgusting. Excuse me? The people that PAY YOUR TAXES are ungrateful that you don't upgrade the sites they pay extreme amounts for? That you don't offer any amenities such as a shower or even that thing called...electricity? That you cater towards camping trailers with no water hookups? Mmmm, ok guy. Breathe. You do not provide toilets. Let alone ADA compliant areas for the toilets. You provide nasty ports potty that aren't even level on the ground. How is anyone supposed to wheelchair into the porta potty? They shake when you are in them. And they are disgusting. Your workers? blast them with a sudo washer and don't even take out the seat covers OR the toilet paper....and miss all the grossness. And then leave the residual water/product....that's just nasty. You blast gross stuff off the floor ONTO the toilet paper and seat covers because of laziness. I mean seriously....it's barely 50 outside and now I have to sit on a nasty went porta potty because your are too lazy to upgrade, let alone move paper until you are done? Penny pinch much? And what a concept of adding a smelly paper tree to remove some nasty stink. The photos are of the "handicap" porta potty. The others were gross, too. If not worse. These were after a "clean" too! You also do not provide electricity or anything that resembles comfort here. The grounds are totally unlevel on the camp sites. So, you won't be seeing many disabled folks here. OOOOO, all the dumpsters were FULL. Everywhere. It was a Wednesday. Majority of the camp sites are behind dunes. Unless you go to the seawall area, with no running water there either. Nothing to see but your neighbors getting drunk and dogs wandering everywhere. Fun. Never saw a "camp ranger" once. You have so many sites crammed next to one another so you can benefit off making money. 60$ for a pair of sweats? What? Like, woah guy. Ego much? Ohhhh, let's talk about the campers! Zero enforcement. Parking in other peoples spots and parking IN the roadways. Legit blocking people. And then have rude persons get defensive because they got asked politely to move their illegally parked vehicles from your purchased spot. So like, no, this place is not great. You get belligerent people and their visitors.....mmmmm, fun. This place is not worth it. Overcrowded, too. This isn'y Yosemite, and if it were, it would at least offer real amenities. This place does not.

It is near the Russian River just outside of Guerneville. Redwood vibes similar to some parts of the Santa Cruz range or Marin Hills, but nothing that compares to the big redwoods in Northern California like near Humbolt Co or Crescent City, those are next level. There's a fee to park inside the park. Think it was about $10. It gets busy during the weekends and spaces can be super limited if you come after 11am. We were with a toddler, so we stayed on the main flat trails that go through redwood groves. It is very shady and well trafficked trails. There are a few loops you can join together, and the circumference may be a 2-3 mile hike. But you can do however long you want it to be. Now the trails that elevate into the hills are much more involved. It can elevate to a 1300 foot gain which is pretty strenuous. I haven't tried those yet but it is on my list to try. But even the easy trails that one day, was still beautiful and relaxing. To majestic red bark trees with healthy ferns all on the ground cover, fallen trees to climb on, large rocks to hop on was just a nice jaunt especially with young kids. We brought a light lunch and refreshments and were able to run into a small area with picnic benches. Perfect way to end a few hours steeped in nature, without having to be totally in the wild. Great intro for those that aren't too versed (yet) and to get them exposed to nature, ecosystems and wildlife. Connect with the world amongst which you live with but rarely see. Weekend mission accomplished!
