We celebrated Valentine's Day with a glamping experience and loved it! The outdoor cooking area was clean, and we enjoyed BBQing right outside our tent. The bathrooms and showers were spotless, and the heated bed kept us warm and cozy all night. Such a unique and romantic getaway

7/11-7/13 Our group of 10 or so came here to Sonoma Wildhaven. We had mixture stays of cabins and tents. We pretty much booked all the riverfront tents. The tents were nice. Cabins were also nice but didn't have private bathrooms but had A/C! Thankfully it wasn't too hot the weekend we went. The river access was really nice. Our kids had fun. The community showers and bathrooms need to be cleaned more frequently. Some bathrooms were out of toilet paper and the trash bins weren't empty timely. It was nice that they have barrels of trash throughout the property that was managed more frequently. There is complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the morning at the shop from 8-11. Parking is conveniently located next to your rental unit. It's pricey and you definitely pay for the convenience of being in Sonoma and being so close to some great wineries like Silver Oak. Friday night was nice where string lights were on til midnight. Saturday, those same lights were off early which was disappointing. Quiet time is at 10pm.

Everything is so well done here. We stated for 3 days/2 nights, and it was exactly what we'd hoped for - quiet, full of beauty, and immeasurably relaxing. Just enough hardship to make it interesting, and all the facilities are in great shape. We also had one small-ish issue that they took seriously and helped us navigate. I'll be back for sure.

Amazing place to relax!! Wish the cabins were further apart. Anyway to do that or decrease seeing humans would only add to the benefit and charm!

We have everything here: lights, electricity, WiFi, heated blankets underneath and a space heater

This Wildhaven location was our first time experiencing glamping and it has sparked our "addiction" for glamping ever since ! This review is long overdue! We tried Wildhaven Sonoma last December during their Winter promotion. We got two wine tumblers, a bottle of wine and a kit of s'mores with our stay. The tumblers are of high quality and the wine was delicious! As we turned into Wildhaven, we loved how cute and quaint it was, nestling along the Russian River. Rows and rows of small cabin appeared before our eyes. There was an attendant at the gate who would quickly check you in and gave you some instructions of where your cabin was located and where to park. Each cabin has its own parking so you can easily park and load your stuff inside. The cabin itself was so nice with spacious front deck which had a small coffee table and 2 chairs for your morning coffee enjoyment. There was a picnic table and a fire pit in the front yard. Walk a few steps up, open the zipped door and you'll enter a spacious cabin with 2 queen bed, 1 night stand and a coat rack. Though you may have to walk a bit to use the restroom and bathroom (yes you can take showers here!), the cabin has everything else that you need! Lights for you to read, electricity for you to charge your phone/ipad/laptop/electronic devices, heated blankets underneath your sheets (because it's winter time), and a space heater if the heated blanket were not enough for you! This Wildhaven is conveniently located within 10 minutes of driving to downtown Healdsburg where you can find all the delicious restaurants. Famous wineries are also within 15-20 of driving. We spent all our rainy day trying out different wineries and had a blast! They also have a lodge where you could buy last minute items such as ices, toothpaste, toothbrush. They have hot water for you to use. Around the ground, there are playgrounds which has corn holes and various other things. You also have private entrance to the Russian River. We quickly walked down but didn't spend much time there since it's winter time. But I can totally imagine how popular this river will be in the summer time. Overall, we had a blast! Thanks Wildhaven Sonoma for sparking our addiction for glamping

We usually reserve campsites at California State Parks on the reservecalifornia website, which I highly recommend and they have bathrooms/showers at most state parks, but we wanted to try glamping for the first time. The fact that we could pack lighter and the photos on the Wildhaven website really sold us. (Of course, the photos will always look better though). I purchased the early check-in option ($30) so we could arrive at 1 PM instead of 3 PM, but since check-in is fully contactless and no one is at the front desk, it makes you wonder... couldn't anyone just show up early? When we arrived, we were surprised by how close the tents are to one another. You can hear every conversation around you. The couple across from us brought their husky that barked at every passerby. We were just sitting on our porch when they pulled up, and their dog immediately started barking at us from the car. It continued to bark at us as the man brought the dog out and throughout the night at their neighbors around them. I felt bad for their neighbors. Then the couple started arguing at one point and you can hear them arguing. There was also another dog farther away that joined in, so at times, both dogs were barking back and forth, either at each other or maybe at strangers. We have two dogs ourselves and we love dogs but I could see that people bringing their reactive dog would eventually ruin the benefit of dogs being allowed here. To our right, another couple blasted their Netflix show at full volume and laughed obnoxiously loud like, full "HEE HEE HEE HEE! HAHAHA!!!". On top of that, the site sits right next to the freeway, so there's constant traffic noise. Altogether, it was far from peaceful. The next morning, we went to the storefront for the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate. The setup was cute and well-done. My husband had an injury, so I went on a quiet morning walk to the river around 8 AM. It started off lovely, until I saw two full boxes of empty Modelo bottles dumped near the water, more bottles scattered around, and even a used diaper hanging from a tree. There was graffiti on the wall and a "Litter = No Access" sign right in front of the mess. It really ruined the experience and grossed me the hell out. The amount of trash made it clear that the area hadn't been cleaned in a while. As I made my way back to my tent, out of nowhere, this German shepherd tied outside someone's converted school bus lunges at me and barks aggressively. It felt like one of those movies where the guy is breaking in someone's house and there's a jump scare of a guard dog trying to attack the guy. I felt like I was trespassing someone's property. I don't know what a mobile school bus is doing there but it's probably one of the staff that lives there. It didn't feel safe or appropriate for guests to walk by. To be fair, the tents themselves are comfortable and well equipped with outlets, Wi-Fi, a heater, and storage space. (Keep in mind that the WiFi inside the tent isn't great.) The on-site amenities are well maintained. The staff clearly works hard to keep the bathrooms and shared areas spotless, because you'd see them constantly cleaning, which I appreciate. However, the area around the river really need more attention. If you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled experience, this isn't the place. Between the barking dogs, loud guests, freeway noise, and trash by the river, it felt more chaotic than relaxing. I can't say I ever felt a sense of calm during our stay at Wildhaven. TL;DR: Beautiful setup and clean bathrooms, but reactive barking dogs, loud neighbors, traffic noise, and trash by the river made it hard to relax. Definitely not the peaceful, nature-filled stay we expected.

Beautiful place to stay. Very dog friendly, lots of areas to walk along the river. Cabins are nice and very clean and cozy. Nice little store with Coffee and tea in the morning. The staff is very accommodating. Best staff member is Debbie! Friendly and made me feel at home. Debbie is a sweetheart. The bathrooms were clean. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. We were happy to find bath towels in our cabin! Wonderful place to stay!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Wildhaven Sonoma. Booking was easy on their website and there were a variety of tents and cabins to choose from. Check-in was also online and gave us instructions on what to do when we got there. We've never gone glamping before, so I didn't know what to expect and definitely overpacked. Our tent was elevated and also had two beds - I was worried about the cold but the tent had a space heater and two beds with heating pads. There were two heating pads per bed and can be adjusted to the individual preference! They really thought of everything! Each tent had a firepit and there were a communal space with grills for cooking as well. Our tent was a bit far from the bathrooms and it was a pain getting to in the night - hopefully in the future, they'll have more bathrooms set up at different areas around the campsite. My kids had a lot of fun and although it was a bit too cold to go down to the river, my daughter enjoyed walking around what she calls "this little town".

    Julie N.

Really cool glamping experience! My family and I enjoyed it a lot, only thing we wish was different was the heater in the room working better because it was cold at night but the bed heater pad worked great. Will definitely be coming back!

we enjoyed our stay! contactless check in/out, clean common areas, friendly folks. i will say, i do think the price is quite steep for what is included. would be nice if some firewood/smores were included with the price of the stay. heated mattress made the stay very comfortable.

Our son had his wedding at the Healdsburg facility on May 3, 2025. The place was amazing and perfect. All the guest commented on how great the place was. We have nothing but good things to say about Wildhaven Healdsburg. Thank you so much for having us !

    Jennifer M.

I really enjoyed my stay. I would do it again. I will say I recommend staying in either the riverfront or middle row. It gets quite loud on the last row cause you are near the road but they provide you with earplugs so we were totally fine. The facility is really clean and well kept. The bathroom and common areas were nice.

    Breakfast on the fire pit!

But even the easy trails that one day, was still beautiful and relaxing. To majestic red bark trees with healthy ferns all on the ground cover, fallen trees to climb on, large rocks to hop on was just a nice jaunt especially with young kids. We brought a light lunch and refreshments and were able to run into a small area with picnic benches. Perfect way to end a few hours steeped in nature, without having to be totally in the wild. Great intro for those that aren't too versed (yet) and to get them exposed to nature, ecosystems and wildlife. Connect with the world amongst which you live with but rarely see. Weekend mission accomplished!

Each site had a fire pit and picnic table, both of which were very clean and well maintained. Sites ranged in size, some good for 1 tent with 2 people and others with room for 3 or so tents. Our site was a little smaller, but had a nice privacy divide and lots of trees. Just across the road and down a dirt path is the campground's private river access. It's about a 3-5 minute walk depending on how much you're carrying. The beach is super rocky so it's a good idea to have water shoes and a chair. We enjoyed going for a swim here and sitting out watching the water and wildlife. We stayed in a site closer to the front of the campground and River Road, so it was a bit noisy with the cars going by, but we were prepared for this and brought earplugs, which really helped. They have a regular/family section as well as an adult only section. The adult only section is further back in the campground and noticeably quieter, though it is further from the restrooms. Another major plus was the dishwashing station! They had a 4 compartment sink equipped with soap and sponges. This was so conventinet and made cleaning up a breeze. I booked our reservations with Chris a few months prior to our August stay. The booking process was super easy, you do have to call in and will likely receive a call the next day, so plan to call when you know you'll be by your phone! Would absolutely come back here since there's so much to do in the area and it really is a nice and clean campground.

Where the water and trees welcome you with serenity. Come walk the dog, ride your horse, bring your kayak, bring your fishing pole, bring a blanket, have a BBQ in the group picnic area and more. A safe place for children but please always watch them around any body of water. Just on the outskirts of Santa Rosa, Riverfront welcomes you with all of its glory. The trails around the lake a extra wide and flat. Easy for a wheelchair to go round. This is one of my regular spots to escape and intake the beauty of nature. I highly recommend just buying a parking pass to support the parks. If you visit a regional park once a month, it pays for itself.

There's also a picnic area at the trail head, and bathrooms are nearby. There is a day fee for parking, but if you're a local, pick up an annual pass -- it will pay for itself in a few visits.

There is enough room for about 7 cars in the parking lot off the road in addition to available roadside parking where allowable. This is in the neighborhood and NOT off the official regional park section of the woods. It is about 2.5 miles up Fitch Mt. from town and down a meandering trail that goes along behind some homes to the stretch of gravel beach that this beauty exists amongst. It is truly a hidden gem. I don't try to bring too much since you have a good .50-.75 mile trek down to the beach to set up camp for the day. Mostly sun exposed so plan accordingly. The water is the real treat here - it is like bath water so warm and inviting you won't want to leave! Not super shallow and definitely swimmable. It's a quiet and serene stretch of the Russian River that feels magical to get away so close to home.

From the moment we arrived, the staff set the tone--friendly, relaxed, and clearly used to getting families (and their dogs) out on the water without a hitch. They handed us dry bags, coolers, and a dog life jacket like they'd done it a hundred times--which they probably had. Our six-year-old was buzzing with excitement, and our dog--suited up and riding in the canoe like he owned the place--looked pretty pleased too. The Russian River was calm and beautiful, with just enough current to make us feel like we knew what we were doing. We drifted past quiet stretches shaded by trees, then through livelier areas near Rio Nido with the hum of music and voices carrying over the water. We also saw some wildlife like fish, ducks, some majestic herons. We stopped on a little island for a picnic, skipped rocks, and let the kid and the dog roam like it was their own private world. Coming back, sun-tired and sandy, the staff greeted us with icees. Nothing fancy--but exactly what you want at the end of a good day. We really enjoyed this fun adventure and we'd rent from River's Edge Kayak and Canoe again in a heartbeat.

Air Streams are cool but for the price, it is all not worth it. Doing it once is ok but not again…read more Even with a $100 off sale, it was $300. It is considered glamping but the hot water in shower ran out fast, not much to do in lodge, main group gas fire pit kept going out (front desk said it needs to be fixed) and for the price that fire should be going 24/7 and be fixed ASAP if broken. Also, they are very strict on firewood. Must be compressed or hardened wood. I understand this rule as regular wood tends to put off embers and so is a higher fire risk than compressed wood like Duraflame, but the guy who noticed my regular wood (before I realized the rule) and who lectured me about it was kind of douchey. They sell some but at more than double to triple what you can get it for at store. It is upselling at that price which is off-putting. So basically $400 in an Airstream and not near water or accessible lake or stream is a bit rude and glamping amenities not great...worth max $200. Coffee was good though Next time I camp will be with the state or book with Hip Camp. There is a very cool restaurant down the road called Saucy Mamas. Definitely check it out.

Guerneville is SO beautiful, we'll definitely be back. Korbel is literally next door and we loved it, so if you stay here, don't skip it. The only downside --and honestly it's kind of a big one -- is how extremely close the airstreams are to each other. Yes, you can't really see inside and there is visual privacy, but you come here for the forest, the trees, the fresh air... and then there's another aistream right next to you. It feels a bit like camping, but make it packed. I really wish they had fewer trailers with more space between them, because the setting itself is incredible. People come here to disconnect and spread out a little, not to feel like sardines in the woods.
