I recently had a very disappointing experience with Beautiful Places. My fiance and I are planning…read morea wedding at Sebastiani Winery in Sonoma next fall. When we signed the site contract we were told by the Winery that we could rent the Sebastiani family home (right next to the Winery) at a 15% discount. This statement was supported by the website of the property (Casa de Sonoma) and the wine club literature we were handed by the winery. Beautiful Places manages the property so I contacted Beautiful Places and told them we were interested in renting the property for two nights and having our rehearsal dinner on site. Quincey Blake was my contact at Beautiful Places. She refused to provide the discount, despite the three sources that promised it. After a month of going back and forth with them my fiance and I broke down and agreed to rent the property at full price. When we received the contract it had a strict limitation on the number of guests which was unacceptable to us as part of the reason we were willing to pay $5K was to have our rehearsal dinner. When I asked for an amendment to the contract I received and email response from Quincey stating that it would cost an additional $3K to have a rehearsal on site! So after over a month of aggravation we are back to looking for a new site!!! While I understand that property owners and management companies have rules, my expectation is that it is the JOB of the property management company to understand what their clients are looking for UP FRONT (i.e. read their email in full) before quoting a price. In addition, I expect to be treated with RESPECT and DECENCY. If a discount is promised in writing it should be honored. All in all I was very disappointed and will not be working with any property managed by Beautiful Places in the future.

Several months ago my wife and I began to explore the possibility of selling our Alta Heights home…read morein Napa in considering an out of state move. We have several well qualified friends in the real estate business and struggled with deciding who to use if we were to sell. We decided that the sale was an important business decision and we began to research other realtors based solely on their reviews, reputation and presentation. Gisele Lampe from Caldwell Banker of the Valley's name seemed to repeatedly rise to the top of the list in those categories and we contacted her to set up a meeting. During that first meeting it was apparent that Gisele already had done research on our home, the Alta Heights area, comps and property records. We hadn't yet retained her as our realtor but she quickly identified a couple of errors which occurred at the city planning level in which our permitted home improvements were never signed off, although they had been completed. Throughout the process she demonstrated that she takes a proactive stance in representing her clients. We also noticed that during the tour of our home, she was keenly observant and utilized her years of design skills to evaluate our property, make suggestions, point out potential weaknesses. One of those suggestions was to conduct a pest inspection. While I knew it would be necessary if we were to go on the market, we had a pest inspection a few years prior and received a clean report so it didn't seem necessary if we were not set on selling. Gisele was tactful and confident in her approach and recommended a different pest inspector than the one who had cleared us before, assuring us that her recommendation was a very thorough and experienced professional. The pest inspection revealed damage which came at a significant cost to repair but was necessary whether we went on the market or not. We had taken a lot of pride in our home and both the news and cost were hard to take. The damage also required that we install a new bathroom which added to an already escalating cost. Gisele was supportive and reassuring and in her very special and intuitive way, she helped us to remain focused on our primary goals and to act accordingly. While the repairs were being made, Gisele introduced us to her whole team, including her husband Jerry, her associate Jamie Hurley and professional office assistant, Laura Brasil. We found each member of her team to be professional, friendly, dependable and realistic in their approach. They all helped us to navigate the repairs while we were away on vacation, meeting with the fumigation company, contractors and arranging to open and close the house in our absence. Gisele set a couple of parallel strategies for marketing our home and even encouraged us to wait or walk away from the sale if we were not comfortable. We never felt as though her primary motivation were her own self interests. My wife and I chose a strategy that most represented our own approach and we signed with Gisele. We felt her insights were logical, well thought out and considered our longer-term goals. Gisele and her team's efforts resulted in a very quick sale of our home, at a good and fair price, which all occurred during a time that interest rates were surging and others told us we were making a mistake because we had missed the positive market opportunities which were prevalent a few months prior. Gisele and her team were all sincere, authentic and professional. Gisele is a superb communicator, she is kind, compassionate, creative, direct and naturally intuitive. We also admired Gisele and her team for advocating on our behalf and operating with the upmost integrity, taking steps to make sure our interests were protected, while working cooperatively with the buyer's agent and doing her best to ensure the buyer was satisfied. We are so pleased with Gisele and her team. We recommend her to others without reservation.

And it was her assistant Charlie Luna who really made my move possible. I was working in San Jose and staying there during the week, or traveling outside the US, which severely limited my ability to be on site for deliveries or coordinating a crew to haul old junk to the trash, painting, etc. Charlie handled all of that and kept the momentum going so that I was ready in time to get my house on the market. Even as I went through escrow, Charlie was there to coordinate inspections, he got new smoke detectors installed - the garage cleaned. Again, things that would have been impossible with my work schedule. So, thank you to Carol and Charlie. My house sold quickly. I got a good price, and what would have been a daunting move was actually made easier thanks to their help. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I was coming from out of state, but this place did NOT disappoint! BRAND NEW, all white and bright colors, hard floors that you can walk on with bare feet and they DON'T GET DIRTY from them! Full kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, kerig with pods, real corelle dishes of all shapes and sizes, pots and pans, ice in the freezer, even spices and other assorted things for cooking in the cabinets. Good wifi, and even though the place is only like 150 feet back from the highway, up here it's almost totally silent. NO NOISE POLLUTION! And to top it off the beds were memory foam and had great support and were NOT like hotel beds that have a huge hole where everyone sits. AND everything was TOTALLY clean. There was nothing that was gross or dirty. This may have been because it was new, but as long as they keep this cleanliness level, NO ONE will be disappointed, even my wife who is VERY fussy about cleanliness. Sonoma Grove Suites is an IDEAL choice between overused and overpriced hotels, and it has the feel of a quiet home, with all the comforts. It has Alexa too, but I don't like Alexa and turned it off. Also when you check in you get detailed instructions on how to use everything and that's very helpful. They EVEN had two softnesses of pillows, soft and hard, which is essential for me because I'm need harder pillows. Ive never seen pillow softness choices ANYWHERE before. The location is central too, Good job to This place. I highly recommend this place.
