From the get go, the manager and workers were all so friendly and helpful. There were initially some issues with dynamic pricing, but they were able to correct things on the back end, which was much appreciated. The main building and breakfast area are both very warm and inviting. The couches and seats are comfortable. There are games and books in the cabinet areas too. The chef provides a tasty breakfast each day, with the menu slightly changing. There is coffee, tea, and hot/cool water available all day. It can get a little crowded at breakfast, so if you are in a large group, go either very early or very late. The afternoon happy hour is pretty relaxed with some offerings of cheese, crackers, and wine. Be sure to ask for gluten-free options, as they have them available. They also prepared nice chocolates for my parents (anniversary) and a cookie for my nephew (birthday), which was a lovely touch. The rooms are fine, some are a little darker and/more dated, but that didn't bother us. The one thing that I would've done differently, is to bring an eye mask and ear plugs. Depending on where your room is located, you could be facing the main street. The doors in certain buildings would slam pretty loudly, so if you had neighbors returning late at night, you would definitely hear them. I am a little fussy with beds, and I found the Vitners King (seemed more like a Cali King?) bed to be a little firm and transferred movement easily. We would consider splurging for the updated rooms next time. Bonus that they have cruiser bikes to borrow. It was very nice to go for a quick ride one of the mornings. The location is fantastic, it's within walking distance to downtown. There are so many great restaurants to visit. In addition, wineries and parks are also a close drive away. Overall a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our visit, thank you!

We stayed in one of the cottages in the back, and it truly felt like a cozy home away from home--quiet, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the biggest highlights was how affordable everything was compared to other places in Sonoma, especially considering all the thoughtful extras included. They offer complimentary wine hour in the evening (4:30-5:30), which was a great way to unwind, and breakfast in the morning (8:30-9:30), which helped us save both time and money. Those little touches really made a difference and added to the overall experience. Communication was also seamless--even outside of regular hours, the team was easy to reach and quick to respond, which we really appreciated. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and welcoming place in Sonoma.

Trust me, there was…read moreliterally no one to greet us at check-in (just an envelope with a key,) we went to the "wine reception" and saw 3 people talking to each other in the kitchen, but they put a plate of cheese, salami, and stale crackers out, a bottle of wine we had to uncork, no plates or napkins & not even a "how do you do!" Our "cottage" had no tables by the bed (I put my cpap on our cooler.) Super soft bed, good for me, not hubby ‍, nice tv & frig, oh, the sink didn't drain. Honestly, I would have shared this with "the hosts", but they didn't answer emails, phone calls, or messages from a week out to the time we left. (Couldn't wait for an 8:30 breakfast.) The driveways & sidewalks are a tripping hazard; the cement is cracked & heaves up everywhere and hoses were lying across all pathways, too.

You are welcomed with a small bottle of their local wine (Banshee Pinot Noir) and a personal note to kick off your stay. We appreciate the little details that make our stay enjoyable and special. If you score a ground floor room, the bathroom has heated floors. The water pressure, to note, is excellent. We also really enjoy the wood-burning fireplace for the ambiance and for the cold winter nights. FYI - for the dog owners, there is no dog relief area on property. We went around the holidays and had a wonderful time with the festive events and activities offered. We thoroughly enjoyed the s'mores + hot toddy night and the hand-painted ornament workshop. We may need to return again during the holidays. And if you manage to get out to explore, downtown Sonoma is just about a 15-min walk away.

So, I'm a bit apprehensive when people tell me they won't be there to let me in - that I can just follow the instructions! Yet, it was as easy as they explained. So, thank you Gayle for answering my repetitive questions! We saw a living social getaway and decided to jump on the opportunity. I' glad we did. The cottages themselves were charming, spacious, and clean. They came with a number of games and books. Even though they don't have anyone on site, getting in and out was really easy. The size of the cottages would actually facilitate a family really well. Unfortunately, we couldn't figure out how to work the tv, but weren't there to watch it anyways, so no worries there. The deal came with a bike rental and percentage off on one item in the store. While in theory it's great to bike around Sonoma, I would note that Napa Street is a pretty major thoroughfare into town (one of those that say the speed limit is 25 but everyone drives 40). It might not have been a big deal had the bikes we got been road bikes instead of mountain bikes and were in better shape! I'd also recommend getting some new locks that don't stick and teaching the staff in front to be a little more helpful. Alas, we did take advantage on the first day to bike around town. Definitely a good way to get around, even if getting back is a bit harry! Overall, a good experience. I'd definitely consider it again on our next trip to Sonoma.
