Sorry for the late review. We stayed at Petite Syrah in Nov 2025. First off, Valerie, the owner, was such a sweetheart! She provided us with everything we needed! Gave advice on what restaurants, shops, and wineries she thought we'd be interested in. Bunkie, who worked at the office, was very helpful. We stayed in an off-site at the Petite Syrah bungalow. It was in perfect condition and so clean. The amenities were great! Prior to arrival, I arranged for them to provide a shower chair for my husband, who is ill. It was in the shower when we arrived. The bed was comfy, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. We had a small patio and a separate porch, which were so nice to sit on for coffee or drinks in the early evening. There was a hot tub, but we didn't get a chance to use it. There were other bungalows, but we didn't see any other guests. It was a gated property. Shopping, the downtown area, and restaurants were all within a quick drive. Good delivery was easy and quick. It has a full kitchen and a good selection of utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. I recommend bringing your own spices if you plan to cook something special. I wanted cumin for a meal, but I could only find a huge jar at the supermarket. First of all this was so much bigger than we were anticipating. It was just a group of 3 of us and the house was amazing. Cheryl was so kind leading up to our reservation ensuring we had everything we needed and more. Upon arrival, there was a handwritten note, a bottle of wine and some chocolates. It was such a nice touch. This property in particular is not directly next to the square like their other properties, the staff makes that very clear when you going through the reservation process. Honestly, it worked out great because it felt a little secluded and was more quiet in comparison to the downtown Sonoma area. We stayed in "Hawker" and overall found the unit and the overall experience outstanding. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there are bikes available for use and a patio area with fire pits. The property is just a short walk from Sonoma Plaza and there is a Whole Foods across the street. Our unit was facing the street, so we could hear car traffic and the trash removal which took place most days around 4 AM. They do provide ear plugs in the room, but we didn't find them necessary. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Sonoma. read more

Everything about Sonoma Bungalows exceeded our expectations. Our group of twelve shared 3, 2 bedroom bungalows and everyone enjoyed having a king bedroom with ensuite baths. There was space enough for all of us to gather and everything we needed was provided. We all remarked that this was the most beautifully appointed vacation property we have ever rented. We just loved the Dixon House at Sonoma Bungalows. It was our second stay there, and it was even better than the first! We had everything we needed, and the bungalow was so tastefully decorated and very spacious. The beds and linens were spectacular, and everything was very clean and in good condition. We felt very well cared for! I love the location, so convenient to the town square, and we enjoyed hiking the nearby Sonoma Overlook Trail. I can't wait for our next visit here. Sonoma Bungalows is a MUST if you're staying in the city of Sonoma; a perfect boutique hotel with exceptional hospitality and the best location! I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for comfort and ease. The staff were wonderful. The very spacious suite has everything you need (they think of EVERYTHING), and the location cannot be beat - walking distance to the square and to the local Whole Foods. Comfortable bed, a wonderful shower, a beautiful kitchen; all lush! Booking online was easy - and they were so helpful when I needed assistance to reschedule. Easy to find. I had a great stay at Sonoma Bungalows. I stayed in suite 8, a corner unit which was very beautiful, quiet, very comfortable bed and most importantly spotless! The kitchen had everything to make a meal. Since the weather was bad during our entire stay, we made breakfast every morning and enjoyed the bungalow. Sonoma Bungalows is also located right in the center of the town with a lot of great restaurants and wine tasting places just a few minutes walk. Valerie was very nice and gave us some suggestions on what to do and places to eat in the town of Sonoma. The only thing is I wished I could have stayed longer. read more

We had a wonderful summer weekend at Sonoma Bungalows. The SB team (Bunky, Valerie, and others) were friendly and helpful including suggesting great places to visit while in town, taking the time to show us the property/room/amenities, and reuniting us with some clothing items we left behind inadvertently. The property and bungalows are super high end and well cared after. The bed was comfortable and the heated bathroom and bath floors is a nice touch. My wife surprised me with this stay as she always does the planning for vacations! It was a small piece of property but so worth staying at even if you're spending all of your time in Napa which we did bc of the covid extenuating circumstances. We hope to get a chance to come back another time to explore more of Sonoma. If you find you are staying here you just might get ideas to renovate your home much like this!!! We loved it! Classy yet timeless interior design. Very much similar to our contemporary tastes. Valerie met up with us in the parking lot. She showed us where to park & how to use some of the pieces of the property. Like the adjustable thermostat though 68 was perfect for us, the espresso machine & jazz music in the background. It was so extremely comfortable & cozy. A one bedroom suite like this in Pacific Heights in San Francisco can easily go for 700 bucks. We didn't spend anything near that. My wife didn't want me to write a review about this hidden gem but it was bc the owners encouraged us to write one on Yelp so that you all can experience this exquisite yet modern hotel suite yourself. My wife loved those heated floors in the bathroom. Omgosh!!! The only small negative she mentioned was the mattress wasn't hard enough as she likes that to be extremely firm. Oh well maybe that's a possibility for the next time as the owners do want to improve! One afterthought. We needed help to lock the doors after leaving the suite that we had to ask the gal in the reception area to show us that. There was no one there at first but I saw a purse out on top of the desk that I guessed she was in the ladies room. I guessed right! Also they do offer bike rentals so if you need them just let them know ahead of time so they can make it available for you. Recently stayed over Super Bowl weekend. This was our first time staying at Sonoma Bungalows and it was fantastic! Our bungalow was large, welcoming, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, it even had heated floors! The kitchen had everything we needed with a Nespresso machine! (Best one cup coffees maker on the market)! Great location right next to the Square with all the restaurants, shops and wineries, but still secluded and quiet. The staff were friendly, available and always helpful. My family had an incredible stay when we were visiting for my elopement in Napa. The Bungalows are well-equipped with full kitchens, comfortable beds, and so many thoughtful details (heated floors, washer & dryer (2 br's), extra toiletries, and welcome bottles of wine to name a few). The property is intimate, and I would definitely recommend it for couples and small groups. I saw another review from someone who also stayed during their wedding and tried to host a wedding event before getting caught by the owners. This person claimed they didn't know non-hotel guests weren't allowed, which is ridiculous. The hotel's policy is clearly stated in multiple places on the website and reiterated in confirmation emails. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great; tons of stuff within walking distance! We had the most wonderful trip, and we can't wait to come back and visit for our anniversary in the future! read more

The location is perfect. A short block to Sonoma Sq and all the tasting rooms, wine bars, restaurants and bars you need. The 2BR Marino cottage was big and perfect for a week long stay. We had 2 identical en suites, a large kitchen, living room, dining room and back porch with dining table and grill. The beds were comfy too. Everything was nicely appoint and the kitchen had all we needed to cook a few meals with the local bounty. The washer and dryer is an added bonus. They provide detergent too. Sonoma is gorgeous, the wines amazing and the hospital the Sonoma Bungalows was perfect. The common area has fire pits for evening enjoyment and bikes to borrow to ride a trail or just to ride over to General Vallejo's home. read more

Our stay at Sonoma Bungalows was fantastic! The communication, check-in, and check-out could not have been easier. The king size beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and baths were well supplied. The bonus room with foosball table, large tv, turntable and albums was fun. The outdoor picnic, grilling, and hot tub area was an added bonus. The cottage was very clean with pleasing decor. The company owned wine tour service with concierge service, pick up and drop off at our door made our day so relaxing and enjoyable. I really don't want to leave a review for this property because I don't want to share this secret with the world. However, I was blown away by the bungalows and the genuine hospitality I experienced. Bunky was so pleasant and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners (Valerie) as well. I booked the Dixon and another one bedroom bungalow for my immediate family as a birthday celebration/mini getaway. I wanted a space that provided the comforts of home but also would allow us to maintain safety secondary to Covid. As a healthcare worker, I was thrilled to find a spot that met all my criteria. The location of the bungalows is very close to the downtown area so it's accessible to many local restaurants and eateries. It's also proximal to several grocery stores so you can make use of the kitchen if you feel like cooking. The minute I set foot into the Dixon property, I fell in love. Everything from the decor to the amenities were well thought out. There were small details that I appreciated and everything was detailed and immaculate. If I were to ever finally settle down, I would want a house that literally has the same exact kitchen as the one in the Dixon bungalow. My parents loved their suite as well (so much that they even wanted to purchase the exact same furniture!). I can't wait to come back and would love to experience the bungalows in a post-Covid world. I just hope that there will be availability because I'm sure this place will only grow in popularity! read more

We stayed at the oh so lovely Sonoma Bungalows for 4 nights for a wedding and wine tasting. This is the perfect location to walk to the square for dinner, shopping and wine tasting. The bungalows are a perfect size for 2 in the one bedroom or 4 people in the 2 bedrooms. The kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed including a great coffee machine. Bunky, one of the managers was so incredibly helpful, thoughtful and knowledgeable of the area. She also gifted us with a bottle of wine and several bottles of water. Surpassed all expectations! My family and I went for a quick 2-day trip and when we arrived, it felt like "home". The communication with the host was amazing, clear and efficient, which really helped. When our flight was delayed, they provided the check-in information and after a long drive from San Francisco in the rain, on a cold night - arriving to a "home" that is just waiting for you was so perfect! The lights were on, it was so warm and cozy and clean, we couldn't help but feel so welcomed. The property is well kept, they have anything you could possibly need and more (just add the fun!). My husband had done lots of research for our weekend getaway to Sonoma. He landed on Sonoma Bungalows on a place to stay. First the location is perfect! They are located right in the middle of town and you can walk anywhere! Don't feel like walking? They have parking! The bungalows are charming and cozy. You could want for nothing more! After long days of wine tasting it was great to land at the Bungalows to relax and decide where to go for dinner or just relax. The staff was friendly and always available. This place is perfection! The staff member we interacted with upon checking in was Bunky. She was awesome! She walked us over to our bungalow and explained the amenities. She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. She gave us a few great local restaura recommendations and they were delicious! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we were so glad we selected the Sonoma Bungalow Boutique Hotel as our celebration destination l. It was cozy yet very modern. My husband lived there coffee machine. We received a delicious bottle of red wine along with sea salt caramel chocolates. We thought that was a very nice touch. The heated floors in bathroom were too die for. Now we want those floors in our home . The bed is extremely comfy. We also loved the small touches such as, providing us with umbrellas because it was going to rain during the our stay. They had cozy blankets and comfy robes.
