View from the main balcony with welcoming cheese plate and glasses of wine

Luxury accommodations at its finest. The Inn is gorgeous! We were greeted by the Inn keeper with wine and a cheese plate overlooking the valley from their balcony. After soaking in the ambience and enjoying our wine, we were showed to our room. Our room was spacious with a big balcony looking out to the valley. We had a huge bathroom with a soaker tub and outdoor shower with hammock area to enjoy outside. The Inn also has a pool and hot tub. When we were there it was like our own private pool. In fact for our visit, we didn't see any other guests the whole time we were there. Definitely a private, romantic place to stay. The Inn keepers are very helpful and assisted us with planning our stay in the valley including making reservations at wineries and offering recommendations well before we checked in to our stay. It was extremely wonderful service which helped make our stay even more special. Breakfasts are three courses of delicious food - great start to the day. Bread or baked goods from Bouchon bakery, oatmeal or yogurt, and then a hot dish like breakfast tacos or pancakes or waffles. Just amazing! This will be hard to top and we may very well have to stay here again on our next visit to Napa!

This property is UNBELIEVABLE. My fiance and I stayed here for one night over my birthday weekend, and we did not want to leave! Upon arrival at the inn, we were warmly greeted by Daniel (the innkeeper), who showed us over to the front veranda for a glass of wine and platter of delicious cheeses and olives. Daniel was extremely kind and friendly, and we felt instantly comfortable there. The inn overlooks the Napa Valley, and we sat admiring the gorgeous view of the vineyards for quite a bit before venturing up to our suite. It was hard to peel us away! Once upstairs, we were in awe. The room was absolutely incredible....very tastefully decorated and inviting. We stayed in the upstairs suite, which has all the amenities one could ever imagine in a luxury accomodation: Romantic wood-burning fireplace, wrap-around deck with cozy sitting areas overlooking the valley, large and comfortable living area, flat-screen tvs with surround sound throughout the suite, heated floors in the master bathroom, outdoor shower, guest bathroom, comfy robes and slippers, fully stocked complimentary mini bar, plush king-size bed that feels like sleeping on a cloud....the list goes on! You name it, they have it. Throughout our stay there, we felt like we were the only guests at the property....the privacy is hard to beat. We cat-napped at the pool in the early evening, and made our way back down to the hot tub after an excellent dinner at nearby Bouchon. In the morning, we were greeted with delicious mufins from Bouchon Bakery, coffee and orange juice in our room while deciding what we would order for our second and third breakfast course. Yes, you heard it right....a three course breakfast on our own private deck to start off our day. We had a hard time making our way back downstairs to check out. Everything was perfection. I could ramble on and on about our stay at the Poetry Inn, but to sum it up: By far the most wonderful place we have ever stayed! Thank you, Daniel, for the amazing weekend away. We are sure to return!

After a fantastic weekend, we were supposed to head home on Sunday late afternoon. We were wine tasting at Cliff Lede and saw them advertising this place on a flat screen computer monitor. We asked about it and was told that it's gated and not really open to the public. However, given that it's Sunday afternoon, it might not be busy and we might be able to take a tour if we call ahead. After calling, Chris - the Innkeeper, invited us up. He showed us around the place, which is absolutely magnificent with a gorgeous view of the Napa Valley. The place used to be a Bed-and-Breakfast but has been renovated into something much more exclusive and high-end. It only has five rooms, with two being suites. Each room is perfectly furnished, with a balcony that looks into the valley. After telling Chris that we will be back one of these days, we got in the car to drive home. And then he turned to me and said "hey, why don't we spend the night here..." I got out of the car, walked back into the hotel and got us the Robert Frost suite. - Huge balcony to view the sunset - Huge comfortable bed - Huge sunken tub - Outdoor shower - Hammock in the back, right in the sun - Wood-burning fireplace - CD stereo system - iPod stereo system I can go on and on. The biggest selling point is the view. WOW. Next morning, we were treated to a three course breakfast. Given that the place only has five rooms, the personal attention is simply unmatched. This place is for the rich and famous. I pretended to be one for one night and will not forget that night for a long long time.

BIG THANKS! My husband loved it and I was ecstatic that it was waiting for us- since I knew we were going to be hungry after our flight. The location is easy to find, the neighborhood is absolutely charming and clean. Please walk around and see those beautiful architectural homes!!! They phoned us before our flight to ask an ETA for a possible early check in. I mean WOW what a great detail! We did get in early and our beautiful room was ready! We stayed in Loft 14, it's 2 stories- bedroom and half bath upstairs. The most comfortable BED ever and the sheets for extremely soft and buttery. The big full bath downstairs is very modern and had no door to the big shower- I get cold easy, so the heater vent above the vanity/sink was a heavenly surprise! A beautiful living room with an electric fireplace and a little outdoor patio- private just for your room. Well stocked mini fridge with beer, water, sparkling flavored water, and a nice bottle of wine! Yummy chips, goodies and locally sourced gourmet chocolate. Rosa helped us when we arrived and she showed us around the property. She was a Gem the entire time. Very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. Thanks Rosa! Beautiful gardens, loved the communal kitchen open 24hrs. Plenty of indoor/outdoor lounge spaces, both open for larger groups or smaller for more privacy. They offer a continental breakfast on weekends and it's not your average "Continental" selections. We had a delicious FRESH Quiche with a delectable crust and perfect cooked eggs/ham & cheese, fresh fruit, yogurts, butter croissants and to die for Cruffin (croissant/muffin pastry) covered in sugar and cinnamon. The coffee machine can get you your coffee of choice in minutes, mine was a frothy latte and my husband opted for a cortado. Again available 24hrs which is a plus in my books. Close to everything to walk around and explore, we loved going across the way to walk around the Napa river bridge/pier. And to Oxbow market- A must in my opinion. So overall please Stay here, go explore, enjoy the beautiful property, sit in the garden, have your coffee and just connect with yourself or whoever you're there with. 100 Stars for R Inn Napa! My family and I stayed at this hotel twice within a two-week span to attend concerts…read more Unfortunately, both stays were lackluster, and we will never make the mistake of staying here again! I want to start by saying that most of my interactions with their staff were extremely pleasant. They seemed to be doing their best with the resources they have. That said, they need more support! During our first stay on August 22, 2026, we encountered several minor issues that didn't warrant an initial conversation with management. These included long check-in lines at the front desk, unusually long waits for the valet to retrieve our car, lack of staff support at the family pool, and repeated requests from the front desk for the same items needed in our room. Since this was our first time staying here and there was a large concert, we assumed they were overwhelmed. My wife completed a survey after our first stay, which prompted an email conversation with the Managing Director, Paul Maddison. He referred us to their People & Culture Coordinator, Natalie de Anda, who promptly called and tried to make up for the experience. She mentioned an upgrade for our next stay and assured me our experience would be better. We returned two weeks later, on September 6, 2026, for a second concert. Unfortunately, the second experience was worse. After arriving in town early to avoid the long check-in line, we still found our rooms weren't ready by the 4 pm check-in. Multiple guests were having the same experience. Because of the late check-in, my kids couldn't do the activities we had promised them, and we had issues with our off-site dinner reservations. We avoided using the valet service after our first experience, only to find their electric vehicle charging stations, four in total, located right in front of their valet station, occupied by non-EV cars. I later realized the room we stayed in was the exact room we initially booked, so there was no accommodation for the issues we experienced during our first stay. After our second stay at the resort, I reached out to both Mr. Maddison and Ms. de Anda again, but I received no response. The resort is a beautiful location with great potential, but without adequate staff to handle guest volume and with a lack of follow-through from management, I will never stay here again. If you are coming for a concert, I strongly suggest you stay off-site.
