Magnificent Bed and Breakfast. This was my first time coming out to a bed and breakfast. It was my girlfriends too. It was such a wonderful experience. So I surprised my girlfriend with this the night before Valentines Day. When we got there, there was parking on the street. It's in a regular residential area so when you get close you will notice it real fast with the white picket fence, nice green lawn and two person swing right outside the front door. Prices are a little pricey. I think just because it's Napa and most bed and breakfasts were generally pricey being you get a collective amount of services together. I got the Escape, Indulge and Relax package with the Enchanted Dream. Man o man was it awesome! We got there first at 5:45 and was welcomed by Alicia(which was super friendly and professional). She gave us the run down for how things work there while serving us wine, cheese and crackers. After that we went to the room and boom...flowers in the shape of the a heart on the bed. Oh that's just the start...Let's not forget the TV in the corner with a fireplace below and the 2 person tub in the opposite corner...Don't even get me started on the tub. Or actually you know what? I will get started. They had a bottle of cold champagne waiting for us in ice near the bath tub with glasses and a chocolate heart for me and my girl. We still had wine from down stairs we needed to finish! But most of all the tub had jets!!!! It was soooooo godlike!!! That definitely was a nice night... Morning we woke up excited for a nice breakfast and of course they didn't disappoint. Heart shaped pancakes with bacon. Everything was really tasty! Later the owner(Candy?) introduced herself and we talked a little after breakfast and wished us a Happy Vday and Anniversary. After we retired back to our room to get ready for the day and check out. While I finished up my girl was writing how she enjoyed her experience in this little book that they had on this small table in our room. It was cool seeing everyone else's experiences from different states! Overall, I am honestly scared to go anywhere else for a bnb after the experience we had here. Yes, again a lot of people will probably be turned away by the price but with that package and the fact you are in Napa, I think it is more than worth it. What's also cool is you are only a 5 min car ride away from downtown too! I highly recommend this place to anyone who plans on spending a day in Napa! Arbor Guest House! My husband and I had our first stay at a Napa B&B here at Arbor. I chose it because it was decently priced (I believe they had a special), had good reviews, and there were hot tubs. While my husband is adverse to B&Bs for the most part it was hard to be adverse here. Think rainy napa day in February. A warm fire to cuddle up to and a bubbly in-room hot tub to sip champagne in...what more could you ask for? It's worth noting that the innkeeper was a delight and breakfast was delicious! I'm not going to lie, when we first saw the house, we were scared. We didn't know what to expect, especially since it was our first bed and breakfast. We were ready to call it quits and just drive to the Embassy Suites a few blocks away. That would have been a HUGE mistake. Everything from the smell, the service, the beautiful detail, even the food was PERFECTION. We checked into the Garden Room which had it's own private entrance, a faux fireplace to set the mood, nice flat scree, a beautiful antique bed, a jacuzzi bathtub. I was speechless, who would have thought that my guy had it in him to be so romantic. Eh, sometimes... To be quite honest, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed our wonderful stay here if we stayed in the main house. My suggestion is that if you plan to stay here, try to book the room in the guest house. I enjoyed how we didn't need to tip toe around. Side note--We were the only "young couple" that stayed there that night. All the other guest were probably around their late 50's and 60's. So it was good we were secluded, just to avoid the awkwardness. The breakfast was delicious: scones, fresh fruits, spinach and potato frittata, and pineapple sausage. Everything tasted fresh and cooked just the way I like it...not too greasy or salty. Also another important factor, the place was clean, our room was pretty much spotless. My fiancé and I stayed at the Arbor Guest House over 4th of July weekend and it was truly an wonderful experience! It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and we had an amazing time. The personal touch is really want pushes Arbor Guest House over the top. You can literally show up at their doorstep (with a reservation!) and they will help you plan a the vacation of your dreams. They know and live in the area and you can tell that they love to eat and love their wine and they will only recommend places they like... including many local and hidden gems. The biggest surprise... and possibly my favorite aspect of Arbor Guest House was the food! Breakfast every morning is included. The food is of an amazingly high quality. Each breakfast consists of 3 courses: a fruit, pastry and entree. Most memorable of the weekend was the Eggs Benedict. I am a huge fan of Eggs Benedict and this one comes in second on my all time list after Mama's Cafe in SF. The eggs were perfectly poached on top of ham and english muffin. The real star and what pushed this dish over the top was the hollandaise sauce. It was rich and creamy but with a nice citrusy undertone that really set it off. In addition there is also a hosted happy hour every day. There is a selection of wine and snacks like cheese, crackers, nuts and other finger foods. The hosted part is really great and unexpected. I can't recall the name of the nice young lady who hosted the happy hour on our weekend, but we had plenty of fun conversations about a wide range of topics from the area, the food to just plain life. She was incredibly personable and very much intent in making sure we were having an amazing time. The only real negative part of the experience was the bed in our room La Stanza. It was a sturdy wooden frame, but it just happened to be incredibly squeaky. Every subtle shift in your weight from side to side produced a fairly loud squeak. Other than this small, though fairly significant, problem the rest of the room was very nice. read more

Candy and family were incredibly sweet and accommodating. They know everything you need to know about Napa - best food, vineyards, who to talk to, best deal, etc. They may even be able to hook you up with free tastings at certain vineyards. The house is really quaint, charming and quiet. We stayed in the 'enchanted dream' suite, which included a fireplace, hottub and two lindt truffles. Also, they were very generous with wine, hors de ourves and breakfast was amazing. You will leave stuffed, buzzed and happy. DO IT. read more

My husband and I stayed here for our two year anniversary road trip along the coast. Throughout the trip, we stayed in various hotels and other B&Bs. Our stay here was by far the best. It was perfect in every way. We stayed in the Garden Room, which felt like its own little oasis. The room was beautiful and entering and exiting through the garden was incredibly relaxing. My husband and I really enjoyed resting in the gazebo in the morning after breakfast. I have feather, gluten, and pepper allergies. This B&B took my allergies very seriously! There were no feathers in the room upon check in and they made me a custom gluten-free and pepper free breakfast each morning. The owner was incredibly accommodating and helped us arrange last minute transportation to the winery. We look forward to visiting this charming B&B again next time we're in Napa! read more

After coming back to Miami after my vacation, I am starting to think that the nicest people in the world live in Napa Valley. Not only am I converted to a B&B person, but after leaving the Arbor Guest House & the Inn on First I was truly saddened upon returning to the Hilton San Francisco. The Arbor Guest House is a wonderful B&B run by a lovely couple. Candy & Dan are truly helpful with everything from making reservations to providing excellent food & wine recommendations. Dan even makes his own wine (which is great might I add)! We stayed in La Stanza room which was cozy and very clean. My only complaint about the room would be that the bathroom door is more like a closet door, so it provides little privacy. So, if you're shy you should stay in another room. However, I truly recommend staying here! Breakfast is beautifully cooked and served each morning. In the evening, wine and cheese are served in the downstairs living area by the fireplace. Although we only stayed at the Arbor Guest House one night, we were made to feel right at home. These folks are great hosts! read more

Great way to experience a B&B. The owners told us their B&B is the smallest. What I know is that whatever it lacks in size it makes up for in exceptional service and accomodations. This guest house is beautifully decorated, and our room was VERY comfortable. We had a great nights sleeping here. The place is quiet and everyone was very friendly. Our bathroom was awesome and I loved the shower. We LOVED the mornings, checking in with the other guests and with our hosts. Sometimes our plans for the day would change because of another guests experience the previous day. This happened one morning and we decided to go to Calistoga for mud baths, our hosts quickly called the spa's for us, found one that had a couples room and booked it for us. All we had to do was show up for our appointment and enjoy ourselves. We were spoiled rotten by Candy and Dan our hosts. Perfect spot to stay and visit Napa! My husband and I stayed here over the 4th of July week and couldn't have been happier. The Arbor Guest House is beautiful from the inside out. We absolutely loved our stay in the Enchanted Dream room, which is located on the second floor of the main house and includes a 2 person jacuzzi tub. My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice relaxing weekend getaway for her birthday, and we stumbled upon this place. Based off of it's excellent reviews (#1 ranked B&B in Napa), we decided to give it a try. Arbor Guest house is a home that was built in 1905 and was converted into a B&B in 2008. The owners (Dan and Candy) decided to share their love for B&B's by starting one of their own. This place is amazing! When we first arrived, we were greeted by Alicia who was patiently awaiting our arrival. There is a wine and cheese hour every evening from 6-7, so we arrived just in time to indulge. Afterwards we checked into our room (Enchanted Dream), and were completely blown away. The room was extremely spacious with a large shower (with a removable shower head), hardwood floors, tilting flat screen TV, and most importantly...a HUGE Jacuzzi. It is my understanding that each room in Arbor Guest House has a different theme; therefore, not all rooms have a Jacuzzi. Just a heads up, the walls in the house are fairly thin. Therefore, after 10:30pm, all "extra-curricular activity" noises must be kept at a low level... Upon waking up the next morning, we were awakened by the lovely aroma of a home-style breakfast (breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30 every morning). Normally, I'm used to traditional hotel "breakfast" that includes a couple bagels, coffee, and maybe oatmeal. Not here! Breakfast included fresh fruit (so fresh that you would think that they purchased it the same morning), a Danish, an egg benedict, OJ, and coffee. Everything was delicious! Because we generally like to "go with the flow", we didn't make detailed plans for wine tasting. However, Candy provided us with a list of destinations that she personally recommends. We settled on doing the Castello di Amorosa (Castle of Love) tour/wine tasting, and Sterling Vineyards. Candy was able to reserve spots for us on the tour, and provided us with a discount coupon for admission to Sterling Vineyards. Both places were astounding! If Napa didn't have so many attractions, staying in our room the whole weekend would have been satisfactory. As professionals (and parents), we rarely have time to wind down. However, Arbor Guest House provided us with an appropriate environment to do so. We will definitely make this our go-to spot whenever we plan another Napa getaway. Three of us experienced our first B&B here. It was magnificent and exceeded expectations. We stayed in the Autumn Harvest room that slept four. The main house and our room had wonderful homey touches, i.e., antiques, candy dishes, tapestry rugs, etc., a gas fireplace and spa tub! Snacks were a welcome sight upon checking in after wine tasting and tasted even better. Breakfast was fantastic and filling. Beverly is a sweet lady who took the reservation and fed us in the morning. The B&B has a two-night minimum, though I was able to stay one-night by calling the day before our arrival. Let me start by saying that I was completely opposed to the idea of staying at a bed and breakfast before I stayed here. I was convinced that I would be forced to mingle with creepy people like the love-ahs Will Ferrel and Rachel Dratch played together on Saturday Night Live. Well, the reality could not have been further from my imagined experience. We had a wonderful time staying at the Arbor Guest House. First, our room was beautiful, clean, and well appointed. The house itself is well kept, as is the spacious yard that surrounds it out back. The breakfasts are served at individual tables, and the food was amazing. Dan and Candy were awesome. Their recommendations were spot on, and definitely made the trip a memorable one. I highly recommend making time for the wine and cheese gathering in the early evening, as you will get to know the owners, and other guests in an informal, fun atmosphere. The location of the B&B is toward the bottom of the valley, so there is some driving necessary to get St. Helena or Calistoga, but there are very good places to eat within walking distance and it is hard to beat the value for what you get here. I have placed the price at moderate, which I think is fair when you consider what you would pay for just about anywhere else in the Napa Valley - considerably more. We would definitely stay here again when we come back! read more

Staying at the Arbor Guest House was my first B&B experience, and I loved it! The place is very cute and quaint. The breakfasts were great. The innkeeper, Susan, prepared both a sweet and savory meal every morning and every afternoon there were a variety of snacks to enjoy with the port wine she provided. Susan was also very helpful, not ever having been to Napa before she was able to suggest several places for us to try. The fireplace was terrific and we had our own entrance with a table and chair outside. The garden (backyard) of this place is enchanting and it's a relaxing place to hang out and read. Everyone makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in and enjoy a glass of wine to the delicious cookies made every night to the 5 o'clock wine and snack hour; everything was fabulous! We stayed in the Arbor View room and it was beautiful, spacous, comfortable and relaxing. It is a large room with a fireplace, queen sized bed, very comfortable and a nice sized bathroom. Every morning we had breakfast and it was very delicous. Every morning we had something different, it was always a 3 course meal which includes fruit and a bread. Most breakfasts consisted of a version of eggs but were cooked differently every morning, we also enjoyed french toast one morning. Dan and Candy were very helpful during our stay, they always asked if needed anything and always had suggestions. They know the area very well and know what places to go and what places to stay away from to have a good time. Special shout out to Alicia, she was extremely helpful. We had numerous questions and we were always asking her opinion on where to go. She was very helpful at helping us make reservations, always trying even when restaurants were booked. She even made us my favorite peanut butter cookies, very good. Everyone made our stay special and we are very appreciative of everyone for taking the time to do so. Thank you again. I cannot say enough about the impeccable level of detail that the owners- Dan and Candy give to their little gem of a BnB. Nestled in a quiet downtown Napa location, this BnB is clean, clean, clean! Personal detail is shown to everything from the eaves on the building, to the personalized messages waiting for you when you check into your room. Candy gave us a personal tour of the property upon check-in. Very gracious and NOT overdone. Genuine people. The cottage was immaculate and finely appointed. Very plush. I simply can't say enough about my stay at the Arbor Guest House. The room was very inviting. They left a happy birthday card for my fiance which was a nice way to be greeted. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and it had a modern television with wireless Internet Access. A nice cozy B&B with some modern amenitites is perfect in my book. Breakfast was amazing and the owners were very pleasant. They provided us with local attractions, winery suggestions as well as coupons and maps. We spent the evening with them, drinking some wine that Dan (the owner) had made. It was a pleasant evening of conversation, wine and hors d'oeuvres. Really cute B&B in Napa. The proprietor was super helpful. If you need assistance with wineries and things to do around the area, Candy is very obliging. She planned our day for us. We got the room with the original claw foot tub. The tub was charming, but a bit awkward to take a shower in with the shower curtain wrapping around and closing you in. The room itself was very comfortable if not a bit cozy and it had some nice touches like two wine glasses and a wine key (if you happen to pick up a bottle at a wineries) and complementary bottles of water. There are also additional bottles of water and sodas in a mini fridge in the common area if you need more. Some cookies and chocolates are also left out for your enjoyment. Breakfast was lovely and included a OJ, coffee, fresh fruit, some sort of baked good, chicken sausage and a Frittata. It was very fitting for breakfast in Napa. Overall, great place to stay if you are looking for something a little different than the run of the mill hotel. read more

Great Bed and Breakfast!!! My husband and I came for a relaxing getaway and had the best time. It was our first bed and breakfast experience and we were both a little nervous. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was clean and beautiful. I think we had the smallest, simplest room of all of them (no fireplace or spa tub) but it was perfect. Nice bathroom, sitting area and the bed was comfy. I loved waking up to the smell of breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was delicious! A great way to start the day. Also Dan and Candy were perfect hosts. They had a lot of great suggestions for places to go and things to do, which all worked out well. Candy was even nice enough to share her breakfast recipes with us which we have made many times since we have been home. :) I wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful grounds and get a massage. We stayed here to celebrate my 30th birthday and I could not have been happier. This quaint bed and breakfast was truly a haven. I don't know where to begin with good things to say. Our arrival was met with friendly knowledgeable staff. She gave us a tour and showed us our room. Our room was gorgeous. Clean and stocked with amenities: robes, bath salts, coffee, water. Even a candy by each nightstand. Towels were soft and fluffy. Our breakfast was delicious and in a charming dining area. The owner spent time with us and even took the time to suggest fun places for us to visit. One of the most divine aspects of this spot was the gardens and fountains. Holy moly this is a great place to stay! This was our first try at a bed and breakfast and needless to say, were quite impressed. The place was immaculate. The garden is beautiful, and the service is exquisite. It is definitely a romantic-getaway. They have five rooms and five breakfast tables downstairs. The breakfast is personally catered to your needs (allergies, vegan diet, etc.) The staff is very knowledgeable in recommending activities; they can usually provide discounted prices to wine tours and tastings, if you book through them (Platypus Tours). They also provide free-tasting vouchers to various wineries! The room we stayed in, La Stanza, was spacious for our shenanigans. The bathroom was impeccably clean (I literally searched for something wrong and found nothing). My honey used the lotion, and panicked when he misread the label. For some reason he thought he had accidentally applied shampoo on his legs, which was hilarious! The cheese plate, provided during 5-6 pm, was delicious. The innkeeper prepared a small cheese plate and personally delivered it to us while we dazzled at the scenery in the backyard. read more

Last year my wife and I visited Arbor Guest House for our anniversary and loved it soo much that we came back again for our Anniversary this year. This year we stayed two nights instead of one and once again had an Amazing stay! The Arbor View Room once again was Immacculate and perfect for our two day get away. My wife loves the sunken tub as well as the in room fireplace. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who once again went well out of their way to ensure our comfort during our stay. I can't tell you how pleased we were to see Candy (The Owner) once again. She was feeling a little under the weather but still came down to see us before we left. When a Buisiness owner shows that type of dedication to her guests, it shows not only her genuine nature but definitely lets you know that she cares about her business as well as it's patrons. What a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary for two nights. The owners, Dan and Candy, clearly have passion for their fine establishment and patrons because they make sure that you WILL get a fulfilling experience in wine country.Don't be afraid to ask them what the recommend because they know the best places with the best deals! A homey, delectable breakfast is served each morning between 8:30am-9:30am. We stayed in the "Enchanted Dream" room. It had a jacuzzi, fireplace, and a plush queen-sized bed. The chandelier above the jacuzzi was a nice touch too ;) Our room welcomed us with chocolates on the bedside tables, a mini Mumm Champagne bottle, and a card that read "Happy Anniversary Adlyn and Ruben." I'm a Libra so i go gaga over the "fluff." If you've never stayed at a B&B before like me, this is the PERFECT first experience. My husband and I spent 2 nights in the Arbor View Room - it's a separate carriage house, and had the most wonderful time. From the amazing breakfasts, the impeccable customer service, the AWESOME wine reception every evening (don't miss Dan's wine!!).....I could go on and on. They had great dinner suggestions - we were never disappointed (Allegria was sooo good!). We were on our honeymoon, and were greeted by a mini bottle of champagne in our room along with a congratulatory message. Charming, quaint, romantic little house in Napa. We stayed one night and wished we had more time here. Our room was HUGE- we had the private room with deck (Arbor), The room had a jacuzzi tub and fireplace, and a big comfy bed. The grounds here are very well-maintained and the attention to detail from the gardens, fountain, etc., it was all just lovely. The breakfast was not your typical hotel food at all- it was a sit-down, freshly prepared meal- and absolutely delish! We had a fritatta, fresh fruit, scones, good coffee and juice...Stay here on a Thursday night- it's about a 10 min walk to the weekly Chef's market, which was crowded, but good food and what else- wine! I definitely recommend this peaceful place for couples on a romantic get-away. Oh, and do the Platypus Wine Tour! They pick you up at this B&B and drop you off- you can't plan a better vacation in Wine Country! read more

This was a surprise anniversary present for my husband. So I was looking for something affordable, romantic, almost secluded from the crowded downtown areas, or the city life we're subjected to daily. When I googled for "bed & breakfasts Napa", Arbor featured within the first ten results; the rooms looks stunning!!! I immediately gave them a call to find out about availability. Note that I was calling just 3 days before I needed the place, super last minute. They were very accommodating, made sure I got a quiet romantic room for the weekend, even if it wasn't the one I really wanted (the one which has the jacuzzi in the room!) Most other places had a minimum 2 nights stay, but Arbor Guest House is very flexible with their bookings. Dan, who owns the guest house, waited for us to arrive on the night of Halloween even though we were 30 mins late! Sorry, Dan! He showed us to the room and made sure we felt comfortable! Breakfast the next morning was so unexpected! Since we've lived in a few B&Bs, we expected a buffet. But, nope. What we got was a Michelin experience (almost). And no, I am not exaggerating! Freshly squeezed orange juice, sticky bun, a glass of fruits, egg benedict with prosciutto on bread. Wish I'd taken a picture. It looked just as lovely as it tasted. Candy, Dan's wife, is the most lovely person to have a conversation with. She will make you feel part of her family instantly! We also got foot massages done by their exclusive masseuse! We recommend this place 5 out of 5 for that weekend getaway! read more

This property is perfectly located. The grounds and rooms are charming. The facility is extremely clean. Every morning a delicious breakfast is prepared and served by the owner, Candy and manager, Rose. They also have cheese players and wine available in the afternoons. Not only Do I strongly recommend staying here. I would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Napa. read more

This place was great! The owners were super helpful in planning our trip around Napa. They recommended a wine tour and they were awesome as well. Breakfast was delicious, presented well and it was fun sitting near the other couples in the breakfast area and sharing day plans and experiences. read more
