Gave advice on what restaurants, shops, and wineries she thought we'd be interested in. Bunkie, who worked at the office, was very helpful. We stayed in an off-site at the Petite Syrah bungalow. It was in perfect condition and so clean. The amenities were great! Prior to arrival, I arranged for them to provide a shower chair for my husband, who is ill. It was in the shower when we arrived. The bed was comfy, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. We had a small patio and a separate porch, which were so nice to sit on for coffee or drinks in the early evening. There was a hot tub, but we didn't get a chance to use it. There were other bungalows, but we didn't see any other guests. It was a gated property. Shopping, the downtown area, and restaurants were all within a quick drive. Good delivery was easy and quick. It has a full kitchen and a good selection of utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. I recommend bringing your own spices if you plan to cook something special. I wanted cumin for a meal, but I could only find a huge jar at the supermarket. Alexandra's Plaza Suite is a delightful place stay in the Wine Country…read more It's located just a block from the plaza at the center of town so very convenient to shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms and some interesting historical sites dating back to the 1800s. Despite being so close to the Plaza, the property is slightly off the road at the end of a long driveway, so it's very quiet and private. The property contains two living spaces on either side of a large garage. In the larger house live the friendly and gracious owners and hosts, Cathie and Gene. They give the guests complete privacy but are fully available should any needs arise. And if you visit the Mission San Francisco Solano on the Plaza, you might be lucky enough to have Gene as your docent tour leader! The suite is a small but well appointed one bedroom apartment, complete with an open area with a living/TV area, dining area, and kitchen. At the end of the hall past the bath is a bedroom with a big closet and a door. I mention the door since many places that call themselves "suites" have bedrooms without a close-able door! Outside is a covered patio with a roomy table and comfortable chairs, along with places to sit in the sun. The property is filled with fruit trees, flowers and vegetables. Cathie and Gene have put a lot of thought into comfort and aesthetics, with attractive and comfortable furniture as well as lots of thoughtful extras like a large supply of bed pillows with styles to suit every taste. The bedroom in particular is extremely quiet and comfortable; great for sleeping in if you're so inclined. You'll find books and games, snacks and drinks, toiletries and wine country information, all in a wide variety and in plentiful supply. The overall feel is that of a private home designed for the comfort of guests. With lots of windows and several fans, it's easy to be comfortable with purely natural air (which is my personal preference). For the occasional very hot day, there is a recently installed air conditioner that is both silent and efficient; this can be very nice after a day out and about in the blazing summer sun. I strongly recommend Alexandra's for a stay in Sonoma!

The place is a great find, close to the square, and has everything you'll need for a weekend trip! We chanced upon this place on Google and decided to give it a shot. Cathie was extremely sweet and offered us an additional night for free. When we told her we'd be arriving super late, she left the lights on so we could check in on our own. The entrance had our names written out, and there was even scones and milk in the kitchen for us. We talked with them quite a bit during our stay, and they were great with their recommendations on things to do in the area. Gene even gave us a sampling of his wines AND a bottles to take to the restaurant and home. Now for the house - it is very well equipped with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. The bed is comfortable, and they have a huge selection of pillows. The living/ dining area was perfect for two people, with a couch and dining table. Everything is super clean, and well thought out. I would not want to stay anywhere else on my future trips to Sonoma.

We had the penthouse which is the top unit the largest. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths large living room amazing fully loaded kitchen and HUGE deck with patio furniture and table and chairs. They have everything stocked - coffee, all the appliances, pita and pans, washer dryer, towels, soap, bathroom and accessories. My new family mother in law and sister in law rented the other two units. The front one has cute sitting area and the back patio. Everything about this amazing and we highly recommend if you rent all units for families, wedding parties, or couples. Bryon the owner or house manager is so sweet and attentive. Cottage Sonoma agreed to a longer rental as they knew we were in a bind, but I believe they are normally shorter term vacation rentals. The house is wonderful. It is the most prepared and stocked vacation rental I have ever been in. The owner's have tried to think of everything that could improve a guests experience. A kitchen you can truly cook in - and we love to cook. The house gets a ton of natural light and has a warm feeling to it. It is located about a 1 minute walk from the Sonoma Square so the location basically couldn't be better. The back yard is gorgeous, private, and the hot tub works wonderfully. Would definitely rent again!

They offer complimentary wine hour in the evening (4:30-5:30), which was a great way to unwind, and breakfast in the morning (8:30-9:30), which helped us save both time and money. It has a cute little living room with a sink, microwave, fridge (no stove, note) and a sofa bed in case you're a family. There is a nice and comfortable bedroom in a little alcove and a lovely comfortable bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You have your own private deck with a table for picnics and lounge chairs for reclining and reading. They also have a private tennis court that you can play on if you bring your own racquet and tennis shoes. They also have bikes you can borrow, even if they are a little old and dusty :) The place is beautifully decorated and kept up impeccably. It's about a mile and a half from Sonoma Square, but we walked there without a problem (as long as you're up for a walk). A really lovely, romantic and secluded spot.

It's a lovely home, perfect for three couples to getaway. Ripple is set in a great little area of sonoma just north of the actual square. It's quiet, away from the crowds on the Sonoma Golf Course. The team at SVE is great. Getting directions and checking in was a breeze. Heather is super professional, thorough, and very helpful. They make themselves available to help if need be. That's awesome because I use VRBO to book most of my homes I stay in while I travel and sometimes it's not so easy to get information or check in. I've used SVE several times. I love the properties. It's true Sonoma Wine Country. The homes are always lovely. Highly recommend SVE.

Stayed there for a wedding early June and got dressed in100 degree heat outside with 5 huge skylights uncovered, 4-5 very large windows uncovered, and 3 french doors uncovered. Had to be 120 inside at 4PM while dressing for the wedding. My wife's and daughter's make-up melted. No sleep for 3 nights as master bedroom in loft with no wall to living space so heat rose to unbearable levels. Other than that........
