I simply enjoyed a day of rest in a quaint and comfortable place and an easy walk around the neighborhood. The cottage is fitted out perfectly especially the kitchen. It's a small place, but it's not cramped. There's a deck on the north side that's a peaceful place to sit and take in the larger view of the property. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The lady who assisted us was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Her warm hospitality truly made our stay even more special. The cottage was cozy, romantic, and just what we were hoping for. We especially loved the jetted tub, it was so relaxing and exactly what we needed. The scenery around the property was beautiful and peaceful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a birthday getaway. The thoughtful touches meant so much to us, the wine bottle and the birthday wishes were such a nice surprise. We also really enjoyed the breakfast; it was delicious and a great way to start the morning. Overall, we had an amazing night. It was much needed, and we're so glad we chose to celebrate there. But, I still find this room and hotel to be worth it regardless of that. It's precious. & hopefully they just dust & replace the bed soon :)

There is a spacious living area in which to lounge, read, or relax with a beverage from a nice selection of coffees and teas. The lounge opens to an outdoor deck with a great view over Olema valley; good for stargazing too, as the night sky is way clearer than the SF Bay Area. Frank's breakfasts are some of the best we've ever had at BnBs, with a friendly environment with the other guests, (and bird-watching during breakfast!) After making the reservation they inquire whether any dietary preferences or restrictions.

This was really nice because at that time of the day it was nice to take a breather and sit on the porch with a glass of wine. They also had little fridges with non alcoholic drinks in each building. It has sodas and sparkling water which was a nice treat. Our room was great. It was spacious with a fireplace and a huge bathroom. There was a jacuzzi tub and shower. The bed was comfy and we heard no noise at night even though we were on the first floor by the entrance. Everything was secure with keys to enter the buildings and the rooms. Check in and check out were easy. There was plenty of parking on site too. My only constructive feedback was that the staff situation felt more like a hotel. There wasn't a lot of engagement like I've had at other B&Bs where the owners/staff are around during breakfast or check in to give hints on places to go or ideas for activities. Check out was just a sign to "leave keys here" and check in was also very straightforward with little engagement. I don't really need this but it was certainly different than other B&B experiences. The lack of availability did frustrate me a bit when I had a question during breakfast and couldn't find someone for over 15 min. I even called the number at the desk and an answering service picked up. I prefer to keep to myself with someone available if an issue arises so this didn't affect my experience much. But something to think about if you prefer more engagement or interaction.

The service and accommodations did not justify the $2,232.15 cost. Unlike other Napa bed and breakfasts we've stayed at, there is not a host or hostess to greet you upon check in or at breakfast. The breakfast is saran wrapped with a post it with your room number. There are not enough seats in the dining area for the number of guests. A team member followed us out of the main house and chastised us for not scraping our breakfast plate clean after we bused it. Another person followed us to the parking lot to show us that our son did not eat the breakfast we bought back to him. The faucets handles on our sink were loose and the electrical outlet in the bathroom blew out my curling iron. It was not disclosed that my son's room would be a bed in an unfurnished closet with no windows. We looked forward to breakfast, it's part of the reason why we chose to stay at a bed and breakfast vs hotel. The egg fritata muffin on Friday was over cooked. The raisin french toast wedge today was heavy and dense. My son and I did not eat either. The Blackbird Inn is not the level of hospitality we've experienced at other bed & breakfasts at Napa.

It was more than a dream, such a wonderful little B&B. The modern look and design felt as if we were standing right in a pottery barn catalog. We stayed in the Laurel cottage, which I highly HIGHLY recommend! It's still attached to another cottage but was extremely secluded as the property was a little further out away from the main house and main patio area. We even had our own little garden to the side with a table & chairs! The cottage itself was absolutely wonderful. Extremely spacious with a cal king bed, which by the way, was too die for. The sheets were amazingly comfortable and made it tremendously hard to get out of bed in the mornings, but a dream to come back to after a long day of shenanigans. The bathroom floor, get this, has heated floors! The bathtub was incredibly spacious, big enough to fit two people. The fireplace was also a great addition and made our stay wonderfully cozy. Breakfast is served at 8:30 and 9:15! You have to tell them which time you prefer. All food is gluten free and they are very accommodating, always asking if you have any food allergies, etc. The breakfast was delicious and they always have these wonderful treats at the tea/coffee station in the main house. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming! I highly recommend this place for any couple looking for a sweet romantic getaway. The location is great as it's only about half a mile from downtown, close to a bunch of food eats & wine bars! Make sure to book early as there are only limited rooms/cottages.

We did venture to the main space and it was empty with some tables - it could use a bit more warmth, maybe with some snacks or little touches to make it feel more like home. Keep in mind there are no staff members on the site except for breakfast and at check in between 4-6p. Raphael was able to answer my questions via text. Free parking is a plus. I enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen area that has tea, bottled and sparkling water and coffee. The fireplace in the room and skylight was a special touch. I will stay here again in the future.

I am a fan of motel-style places where you can park outside your room, see your car, and not have a lot of noise from other guests, and this fits the bill. Not only do you get a lot of room, it's also appointed with a full kitchen: stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and dishwasher. I was in Napa for cooking classes so I didn't do much besides store leftovers and make coffee but I appreciated the possibilities, especially for a longer stay. Total for the stays ranged from $150 - $200 all in. The service is efficient if not overly effusive, you get what you need though. There's a minimal happy hour reception, swimming pool and a Jacuzzi that may or may not be working. If I had to critique anything, the TVs (two) are small and not HD. There is a DVD player though. I had trouble reserving on the website this last stay -- it showed fully booked but I don't think it was -- but it all worked out. There are also a lot of light switches that don't seem to do anything, but you will figure it out.
