The wine is sold in half or whole bottles (not glasses), so I opted out this time. The menu is a mix of traditional Spanish tapas as well as American and Latin American mixed in. Our original Resy was canceled due to a change in business hours, so we were offered a complimentary dessert. We tried the cheesesteak empanadas, croquettes, bbq pulled pork arepa, garlic shrimp, octopus, short rib gnocchi and finished with tres leches cake. My favorites were the octopus, shrimp, gnocchi, empanada, and tres leches cake. Croquettes were the least favorite, just not exciting, and they were kind of smashed. The octopus was very tender and enjoyed the sauce and sundried tomatoes that came with it. Everything came out at the right temperature and at a good pace to not overwhelm the table with dishes. The restaurant is dimly lit. I found the booth backs to be very hard and uncomfortable - could use an upgrade. Prices per dish are high for the size, but to be expected with tapas in the states. There are a lot of choices so there's something for everyone.

I know tapas are served in small plates and I know prices are generally high, but I believe anyone who's tried this place will reconsider. The food was tasty, but the price was high and the portions were really too small. If I were to come back, I probably wouldn't be for a full meal; I'd just want to order the Zeppole Tree dessert . We ate around 1:30 pm, so there was no one else at the table and we were the only ones there. The service was very attentive. Skirt Steak $25.25 Paella Valencia $21.75 Gnocchi $18.25 Zeppole Tree $13.50

The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.

We're a local family that made it a point to come to dinner here at least once a month but our last visit was the last nail in the coffin. The younger waitress has never once smiled and has is always been all business but at least she doesn't bully and antagonize her tables. The chef was gruff, rude, and treated us noticeably different from all of the tables. When he brought out our bottle of wine and I said "yay that looks great!" he paused, gave me a dirty look, and said "you're determined not to have a good time, aren't you?"-- despite this being the first thing I said to him and his waitstaff directly beyond our order. Shocked, and not wanting to ruin the dinner for my dining companion, I brushed it off, but promised myself I would not return. The chef makes it a habit to complain about how busy he is, how understaffed he is, but also how long people take at tables-- and also seemingly makes arbitrary decisions about who and what he takes offense to. If the chef stays in the kitchen and gets waitstaff that understand what providing good customer service for -everyone- looks like, we'll be back, but at this rate and reading other reviews it looks like pigs will fly before that happens!

The owner runs the front of house while his wife cooks in the kitchen, and together they create an experience that feels personal, warm, and authentically Spanish. The food was phenomenal. We shared a mixed cheese and meat board to start. Then came the ham croquetas (the flavor changes daily, and we lucked out with my favorite), mini albóndigas (tender beef meatballs in tomato sauce) and champiñones (mushrooms in a rich brandy sauce). Every dish was flavorful and felt homemade. For dessert, we had the Torta de Santiago (almond cake), which was the special of the day -- light, nutty, and the perfect finish. The service was amazing. If you're looking for authentic Spanish tapas, this place is a must-try.
