Bob's Locks & Safes - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Great service. Quick. Polite owner. I'll always choose old and established keying and lock services in any town. Especially when I have an older home with aged licks that require help. They work so much nicer and years longer than newer ones. And, hint - if your new home front door key doesn't seem to work well after a few years trying some W-D40 or refined mechanical oil FIRST! Might be all they need before calling a locksmith. read more

The guys were amazing... had 4 locks on my Hummer H2 and no keys. Got all of them done in about 15 minutes including one key that was hand made. read more

I bought my daughter a used car with only one key. I bought a replacement key fob online. It is necessary for it to be programmed and the key to be grinded. I went to another locksmith in Tempe who assessed that my key fob couldn't be used but offered me one for $250 which I said "no way" and he lowered to $175. I called the key fob seller who just offered a refund. Told him I'd like another opinion. They referred to me a website of reputable locksmiths. I called one who said they don't not program Volkswagen key fobs and referred me to Al's. I called and it came to Bob's. Bottom line they programmed the key fob and ground the key for $85 in about 10 minutes! Very happy and I highly recommend. read more

Thank you for cutting my goldwing blanks! No one else I went to would cut them! Ace hardware... thanks for nothing. They don't feel confident enough to cut them... this place was more than fair with the price also! I will continue to come here for whatever locksmithing needs I have. read more

Bob's Locks & Safes - Goldwing keys. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

These guys are the worst. I called them about a key fob replacement for my truck. Told them I hadn't been able to drive it they made me wait 3 days for them to come out and when they did come out they weren't able to do the job. I caught the guy rummaging through my console. He left without doing the job at all. They are garbage read more

Awesome place. Got keys and key fob done in 30 minutes. These are the best people doing a great service. Highly recommend the place. 40 year business and great to support a local place and it's people. Go see Andy! He is very good at his job. read more

Was referred here by Kelly's Kawasaki to have a few Keyes cut. After looking at their website I was almost excited to check this place out reading about this long history in the valley. Yes, I was excited to get keys cut - it's a motorcycle!! I arrived about 15 minutes before closing, feeling like a jerk. The gentleman working welcomes me in, super nice. Had my 3 Keyes cut and returned in only a few minutes. While I was out trying them for fitment he came and offered to put lubricant in all of the locks. No huge deal but a nice courteous touch and I didn't even ask, he just came outside and offered. Also, I didn't realize how much they needed it because they locks are all much smoother now - seriously. Nice personal touch from a local business. This is the kind of thing you'll never get from a WalMart/Lowe's/Home Depot lock cut. Thank you for the great service and for keeping the American small business dream alive! Cheers! read more

Quick response after I messaged on yelp. Quote was straight forward and best price in town. I had purchased my keys from Amazon as I have done before and was looking to just have electronic part of the key programmed. Everyone in town wanted 80-150 while Bob's did it way cheaper. They charge a fee to hook up the machine and only charge more if the keys actually work! Great service, quick, and the keys work! I'll be back once these two find their way into my washing machine. read more

I came in to get a quote on replacing the lock on my car after going to a dealership first. Riley was extremely helpful and up front about the cost and gave an accurate estimate of the time required for the maintenance. The quote was about 1/3 of the dealer price. So, I left my car and within 2 hours they had fixed the broken lock. When I returned to pick up my car, they said that the maintenance was even easier than they expected. Thus, they cut the quoted price in half (now 1/6 of the cost per the dealership) because Bob's Locks only charges for the parts and labor. TLDR, if you're looking to fix a broken lock I highly recommend. This business is fair and does a great job in a timely manner. My experience there was exemplary for how to treat customers right. read more

horrible customer service! horrible people! dont waste your time or money on this place. needed a new key so my shop called them but the car had battery issues so they said to come back and they will have the key ready and programmed. paid the bill and when it was time to get my service they wanted me to pay additional and I had to wait on them to have everything. scammed. had to hire another company so I lost out on money because they won't refund. and just a heads up it's $85 to go see you. read more

People were very helpful and know their stuff! All my questions were answered thoroughly and professionally.

Best lock smith this side of the Mississippi! Come see any of the fine men here for you lock and key needs! Riley has been a good friend since before he was in middle school! Great guy and He's an eagle scout! read more

Forget Home Depot and my old favorite ACE- THIS is the place to go for quick, QUALITY SERVICE, at a very reasonable price. The guys here are knowledgeable and are always able to repair at a fraction of the cost in less time than it would take for me even to get a guy over to answer my questions at the big box stores. As many times as I've been, (about 16 in the last 6 months) I have yet to have had a key or lock problem- sometimes I even thought I would have to "bite the bullet" and buy a new one but they were able to repair at a fraction of the cost or at NO additional COST. I'm so pleased to have found this business, it's my family's "go-to" I've recommended to everyone I know. read more

I would 100% recommend to anyone!!! One-year-old lost the keys to our mailbox. They came out within hours of us calling and even with a difficult lock, had it opened and new keys in hand in about 30 minutes. Great price, the man that came out was super friendly. Will be using again. Thanks a ton!! read more

Very friendly and professional, even when they he was having some issues, he went out to grab something and i was able to get in through A side window I didn't think I would able to. He was friendly and all for it with me no longer needing his services and charged nothing in return for the few 10 mins or so that he was here, I still gave him a tip for his time tho. Definitely the first place I'm calling if this ever happens again ! read more

I am super careful now and asked if changing my lock could be done without any contact. They were great and price was the best. Very friendly and fast. My dog locked me out of my house in 120 degree heat and they were at my house in less than 30 minutes. Not more than two minutes after the locksmith got to my house, was I back in my apartment. The locksmith was very friendly too, considering I pulled him away from whatever he was doing on a Saturday evening. Cost wasn't too bad either, I just wish I didn't end up in the situation to begin with! read more

Great service, knowledge of their product, cost, and wait time (considering both keys to my car had to be both cut and programmed). Found out while I was there that Bob is no longer with us, which is unfortunate. He clearly had a good judge of character when deciding the right candidate(s) for the job. Some say the best form of marketing is "word of mouth" right? If enough potential customers read that 99% of the people rating the company of interest, like this one, with a high rating, and the other 1% are providing them with a low rating, this should raise awareness to the fact that, while their point (opinion) may be not only valid but accurate, it is more likely that something happened on the way there, which contributed to the overall terrible day they were having. Obviously I think this company is doing buisness the right way. According to the others who also gave them a high rating AND took the time to share with you why, seem to think so too. read more

Fast and convenient. I had a car key made with inside grooves. This place did a great job and were fairly reasonable.

DO NOT use Bob's. This was the worst lock experience, and the most expensive I've used. First the woman gave me a time window which wasn't met. She waited until the last minute to ask for another hour...I left work to meet this so called professional. Then he re-keys 3 locks and charges me a small fortune... It took this snail maybe 40 minutes, and he left a mess behind. I RECOMMEND YOU CALL ANOTHER LOCKSMITH. Bob will never get my business again. read more

Had a great experience working with this company , and their employee Ruben. He turned a stressful situation into a phewwwwwww moment. Ruben was patient, professional and persistent . As a "damsel in distress" with many errands and appointments to take care of, I did not know what to do when my key broke off in the ignition. After several calls to different businesses, I found Bob's Locks and Safes. Andy, the manager, came to my rescue. He was personable, proficient, professional, and patient with me as I asked endless questions about the process. Most of all, he treated me with respect, which goes a long way in customer service. There were two young men working with him that I hope realize the benefits of working with him and are willing to be teachable. Later, I went to nearby Whataburger and told of my experience, and they were equally as impressed from their own encounters. Thank you! read more
