The staff was friendly. That's the best I can say. My husband asked if the ribs were a dry rub or sauced, and we got a half answer; they would have sauce, but not too much/too sweet. He got the chopped brisket and ribs, I got the chopped brisket. We both got collard greens, and I got sweet potato fries. First, it should never cost extra for fries as a side, but I didn't like the other options. Anyway, the fries were unevenly cut, so some were still uncooked inside. They were also room temp. The collards were sweet. I have no idea why that should be happening. The ribs were covered in sweet sauce. Good thing I'm not a diabetic. Now, on to the real fail of the night: the brisket. It looked like Alpo dog food. At least mine came on a plate. His was just slopped right on the paper (fine for better quality bbq, but here it just heightened the effect of dining at the animal shelter.) It was chopped up in such tiny little nuggets that there was no escaping the sugary sauce it was swimming in. Also, their beer selection was ok. Not amazing. Ordered pulled pork with collard greens & sweet potato fries. Pulled pork was good, would of preferred it on a bigger toasted bun instead of a plain hamburger bun you would get from the grocery store. Coleslaw was meh, collard greens were horrible- no hock was used, no flavor or spices just tasted sweet like all they used was sugar. Sweet potato fries were the best thing on the plate with the maple sauce. Beer selection was really good. Boyfriend got BBQ wings & Caesar salad and loved both. Have been here 3 or 4 times and was always satisfied. We have had the Ribs 5/5 The Brisket and Pulled Pork 4/5 And the Beer menu 5/5 The Full rack of ribs is a steal at $22 with 2 sides and corn bread, easily dinner for 2. They have great sweet potato fries with a maple dipping sauce. They also charge only $1-2 per additional sides. A few of times we went there they had live music playing and a good lively crowd. Not the best place to go if you want to have a real conversation over dinner but for good BBQ and brew it doesn't get much better. The best bbq place in Long Island. I make special trips from western queens for this place where I work. Great revolving beers never the same twice it seems. The ribs are fantastic, the fries are great. The bartenders are a little sassy but it fits the very eastern Suffolk vibe. The prices are moderate for the amount of food you get. The brisket is moist. The decor is perfect kind of an upscale roadhouse feel. Totally fun experience great food I would easily recommend this place and have been 5 times here. Nice main street location. Do it! read more

Went there on a Tuesday evening about 6:30. Few people at the bar and only one table of diners. First time there. First let me say that this is not an authentic BBQ restaurant. This is more of a bar with live entertainment on weekends that has a small BBQ style menu. I was very disappointed in the quality of food. Everything looks like it was just reheated. Nothing seemed fresh. I had the chopped brisket which seems like it was from the supermarket frozen section. Same thing with the St Louis ribs. What was worse were the sides. The mac and cheese tasted like it was Kraft supermarket instant mac and cheese. Corn on the cob was tough and tasteless and the cornbread was half stale. Portions are small especially the sides. Presentation is awful. Can't see this place lasting much longer. Didn't even want to pay for dinner that's how bad it was. Went with my son and he agreed. read more

We thought the food was terrible. Buffalo wings were served as the entire wing that was just barbecued and then had hot sauce poured over it and served on a pan covered in paper. Sauce and paper don't hold up well and just creates a messy ripped paper platter. The size of the wing was way too big and messy to pick up and eat without the pointy end of the wing going in your ear. The tables were way too close together. I had to get up and out of my chair 5 times to let the people at the next table get by to use the restrooms. The burger was waaaay undercooked and came out so red that the meat was cold in the middle. The sides of beans and coleslaw that you had to pay extra for was not tasty either. This restaurant is just OK. Not amazing but not bad. I used to love their original Mac and Cheese but ever since they switched it to the dry shells I've been very disappointed. Just placed an order through door dash for almost $100. I called because I was missing the chili. I was told by the kid who answered the phone that the owner insisted that he put the chili in the bag and that the delivery driver must've taken it. He would not replace my missing item. Recently enjoyed a Saturday nite here. We enjoyed their variety of beers. They don't carry JUST the main stream miller lite, coors, etc. They definitely carry a great selection of beers with everything from bottles, to cans, to drafts. I had an awesome bluepoint blueberry beer which was just truly fantastic. Additionally, they had an entertaining band playing some lively tunes, and the service was great. The only reason why I'm not leaving a one star review is I'm understanding that it's in the middle of a pandemic and also Father's Day but tbh, I'm not that happy. I tried ordering ribs for my Father and made sure to place the order earlier in the day as I knew there would be a good amount of orders placed. I'm not local and liked this place enough to travel 40 minutes for their food. I was 10 minutes late and nearly there when I had the restaurant call me to tell me they no longer had ribs. I understand that they have to cancel orders but to call me 10 minutes AFTER my scheduled pick up time seeing as I ordered more than 7 hours in advance while wasting gas and time, I'm annoyed. I canceled my order as my dad is particular and had his heart set on ribs. Now I don't know what we're doing for dinner. Again, I'm understanding but to a point. If they called me 15 minutes BEFORE my pickup time, I would have been able to find someplace else to eat locally so it wasn't a wasted trip. Disappointed. read more

The Bobby burger is my all time favorite dish!! Their pulled pork is soooooo good and who wouldn't want that piled on top of a cheese burger!?!? They went totally downhill. We were regulars and ordered during COVID; the food was horrible. We wrote it off to COVID issues but went in this past Saturday at 6:00 and ended up walking out. The place a totally empty except for 4 people at the bar. There were 5 of us so we sat at the booth in the front corner by the bar, No waitress.... I walked up to inquire about the beers on tap, as the screen they usually have over the entrance door was turned off, t but the 2 bartenders were taking to each other and ignored me. Walked back to my table.... still no waitress. I walked back up to the bar, got a bartender and said that since no waitress had come I wanted to know the beers, she motioned to a woman who was sitting at the bar with 3 guys that were drinking and she slipped back and became our waitress, The bartender asked what kind of beer I like so I said a milder IPA not over 6 1/2 % alcohol. She gave me a sample of a strong IPA; I asked the alcohol content and she said she did not know it! Turns out she didn't know the alcohol% of any of the beers but said she could look it up. I do not know of anywhere that serves a variety of craft beers and does not the alcohol content. Someone could get a DUI after 1 or 2 beers if it has a 8 or 9% al content, people need to know the al content of craft beers. Went back to the table to learned the waitress came and they did not have any iced tea for our kids. Barbeque without iced tea? We go the picture, got up and left. We tried this place for the first time today. I had the fried shrimp, pretty good..crunchy and good flavor, not over battered. Fries were not that great and not hot. My friend had a combination, not bad not great. Food was better than the service. Our waitress started off nice but seemed like we did something to offend her. We ordered a desert and it took way too long and we were ready to go, my friend asked her to wrap it and oh boy instant attitude. We looked at each other like what just happened. So bad to wrap it? Ok Also she took our glasses on refills, awkward. I had water with lemon and my refill had same lemons. Not terribly gross if I were at home, definitely not in a restaurant. We also thought it strange that my friends drink came out separately both times from mine..like did u run to the bathroom sink for water. I had a fun and wonderful night at Bobbique's. The food was delicious and authentic. I went with a large group of 14 so we ordered platters of barbequed shrimp, salmon, pulled pork sandwiches, brisket and ribs. We sampled everything and each dish was awesome and flavorful. The fried picklechips were unique and tasty. The homemade corn bread was amazing. There is a full beer menu with a lot of fun drinks. The atmosphere was casual and we loved having 2 guitar players perform during dinner. The service was wonderful. The prices at Bobbiques are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend dining at Bobbiques with family friends or a date! read more

I had long awaited a visit to BobbiQue. It is noted as fam. owned and with great food. I arrived w/a lge gp and we had a good wait. The staff really hustled but with the place being packed we waited a long time to be served. The restaurant is dark and packed...turn sideways to walk. You would walk right past a friend with the place so dark. With one door exit during a mishap would be impossible. People at the back of our table had no choice but to remain seated the entire evening. The entire length of diners would have had to shift to the other side of the room to allow one person a trip to the potty. From the rear room you must come out to stand in front of other patrons and those seated at the bar to view the band. The food was plentiful and a little above average. I feel no need to return anytime soon. read more

I have been to Bobbique several times with my less than two year old son and the staff is always helpful. The food is awesome, my son loves the mac and cheese and the pulled chicken and ribs. I love pretty much everything. The chicken wings and ribs being my favorite. The only thing I have a problem with is the brisket (it always seems over done.) I may have been spoiled by the time I spent three weeks gaining weight at Ft. Hood in Texas (so much BBQ!). I like Bobbique so much I'll probably be there tomorrow with my son. 4.5 stars, but I will lean this one over to 5. I am a big BBQ fan and a huge craft beer fan so how could this not be a winner. I always order pulled pork, wings or the sausage, they are always consistent and delicious. The fries and sweet potato fries here are as good as it gets. Eric does a great job with the beer selection, and they have a nice back room for meetings. My wife usually gets the salads or shrimp, which are both always excellent as well, the shrimp have always been perfectly cooked. I am a huge fan of this place and wish I could make it in more often. Bobbique's also hosts alot of nice bands at night. read more

We should have known the minute we walked in and didn't smell any bbq smoke that this wasn't the place! This is a bar that serves bbq food! The pace is clean and neat. The services is polite and efficient and that's were it ends. We had the fried pickels and they were great I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw on the side and good thing because the cole slaw was limp and not crunchy or fresh! My pulled pork lacked smoke flavor and seasoning it was stringy and looked and tasted dull. My wife had the crunchy bbq salmon and that too was the same dull and over cooked and a very small portion maybe 3-4oz and probably frozen. The sides we had were good, the bbq beans and collard greens were ok but could have been better with some bacon or bbq pork in it. We ordered a order of St Louis ribs to go and they were big and meaty and tender but ordered them with no bbq sauce on them and they had no dry rub or seasoning or smoke flavor at all. If you like or love bbq beware! Maybe go for the great beers they have and give something a try, we did and didn't care for it we won't be back! read more

Oh my- what is going on here. Terrible food, terrible service and the waitress actually sniffed the beer to distinguished which was which. Never cleared the table from apps, they just put more "trays" on the table as we ate in a mess of plates and napkins . The plastic plates have stains embedded in them. I didn't even eat I was skeeved out. Weird vibe. Two man band played. Sounded nice but I'd think they would learn the lyrics to the tunes their singing, no? (pearl jam would shake their heads in disbelief). I don't know- did nothing for me at all. And the saddest thing is the the waitress knew it was my sons birthday and we had even talked about how the entire place was going to have to sing hb to him (kid loves his birthday like no other). She brings the kid his mousse and not only wasn't there a candle or sparkler (ya know, like how everywhere else does it), they didn't even sing happy birthday to the kid! Guess it's a blessing because from the mounds of un-bussed napkins and grease, that place might have gone up in flames. Won't go back- ever. read more
