I have been to Bobbique several times over the years. I was pleasantly surprised to learn after stopping in for dinner on a Tuesday night with my family recently that kids eat free on Tuesdays! I always get and enjoy the fried pickles. I have had the pulled pork in the past and it has always been good. This particular night I got the ribs, which I didnt love. They are St. Louis style ribs, I personally prefer baby back. They are fatty and kind of hard to cut through. I wouldn't order them again. Sweet potato fries were good, as was the cornbread. My husband got a rib/sausage/wings combo which he liked. Huge selection of beer and some good mixed drinks as well. read more

Tried this place one more time and I'm giving the same rating. I ordered an electric lemonade which tasted like cough medicine. For my main course I ordered brisket which was cut up in small cubes like cat food, never seen it prepared that way before. For my 2 sides I picked potato salad and mac and cheese. The waitress made me extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable when she said "You want BOTH of those for sides?". It was like I was comitting a crime ordering. Not to mention the prices are ridiculous for the portions you get. I will not be returning. read more

Good Brews, Blues & BBQ...... sums it all up. I cannot complain about a thing here. Everything I have tried on the menu has been absolutely tasty... The wings are just amazing.... nice change of pace from the wings that you get at most places.... these babys are rubbed and smoked and full of flavor..... And as we're talking about flavor... how about that beer selection. If you fancy yourself as a beer drinker, then you have to come and sample the beer list... at one point I thought that it would be awesome to try every one on the list, but then I realized that I don't have the time available to become a full time staggering drunk... There are just too many beers to mention. The list of Belgian Beers is truly impressive. Being a lover of the Delta Blues just makes this place even better for me...stop by when they don't have live music ( not very often ) and you will be treated to the awesome sounds of Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, Son House, or maybe even a little Jr Kimbrough while you enjoy your drink or meal. I believe I've written a review for Bobbique in the past, but it doesn't hurt to write another one. I was there last night to meet with a few of my friends and had a ball! The staff was so nice, we had BBQ wings; $1.00 a wing but they were huge! I tried the banana bread beer and it was very good. The pulled pork sliders were also delicious. They have a rather extensive beer menu... I guess that was a positive way to start my review. We have been here several times over the years. Usually we come here after we have not been here for a long time...really to give it another chance. For a BBQ joint the food is just OK. I love a good rack of ribs as much as the next guy...these are just OK. We had dinner there with another family about 2 weeks ago. The food was good but not something that we would be rushing back to anytime soon. I had a half rack of ribs and the brisket. I enjoyed the briket more than the ribs. The corn bread was good. I will probably make my way back there in 9 or 10 months when I want to venture out again for ribs and hopefully I can give it a better rating at that point. read more

Tried this place due to a Groupon offer. I ordered the bbq chicken and the skewered shrimp with a side of corn on the cob. The chicken was okay with nothing to rave about. 3 out of the 6 shrimp were very dry and lacked any kind of taste. The corn on the cob was equally dry and seemed to have a less than desirable taste. My sweetened iced tea was nowhere near sweet. I would rate this meal less than mediocre. The look of the restaurant was simple and lacked any originality. The service was just as simple as the look of the place. My waitress was ok. She didn't seem to want to be bothered with us. She spent plenty of time on her phone behind the bar. Very very good ribs .....corn bread tasty. Sweet potatoe fries very nicely done gr8 dipping sauce. Great selection of beers. BRISKET in my opinion was dry did not melt in ur mouth. Tasted processed. Not saying it was but that's how it tasted that night. The burbon pecan pie is best I ever tasted. Crust is flacky and buttery. This NEW YORKER pecan pie could easily go head to head with any southern mama that's right Paula deen. Good food nice atmosphere. Nicely priced.. won't kill the pocket. Worth eating. LOL went on yelp to review another eatery. Was surprised that this review said "unfinished" I wrote this review in summer of 2011. Live out of state now. We went there on weekend, there were people waiting already. But luckily we waited on about 15 mins. That's why I gave 4 stars. My husband loves the steak, very juicy and worth what you paid. BBQ happens to be one of my favorite "food groups." And, outside of my husband's BBQ, Bobbique is some of the best BBQ on Long Island. With wood paneling, high top seating and sports constantly playing on the television screens, this place is cozy and inviting. We've stopped at Bobbique several times for lunch and dinner to and from the hamptons, and everything is always great. Trying everything on their menu, I have a few favorites, their bbq chicken wings, smoked sausage, the ribs and the chopped brisket (which i usually rotate through on the three-meat plate). My husband loves their burgers, especially the Bobbique burger. With a large selection of beers, a friendly staff and good food (at a reasonable price), this trifecta is hard to beat. read more

My family and my brother's family decided to venture out to Patchogue and try out this restaurant. And I'm so glad we did! Everyone enjoyed their food, even the kids loved it. The kids portion is a great size. Both kids had the ribs kid platter and let's just say the the only thing left was the bones. My husband ordered the 3 meats and had the ribs, chicken wings and brisket. He said that the chicken wings were delicious. It had a nice smoky taste to them. The ribs were tendered and juicy. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with the 2 sides, mac n cheese and coleslaw. Omg, the pulled pork was absolutely amazing and adding the coleslaw on top made it even better. The establishment was clean and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Loved the decor and feel of the place. Adding this place to our list of places to eat! I haven't tried them all, but this is the best BBQ that I have had on LI. Ribs, pulled pork, chicken all delicious, not dry not oversauced.....just right, Sides are great, pickle chips are awesome. I've eaten at Bobbique several times before and have always had a consistently great experience. I always get the pulled chicken tray with French fries and Mac and cheese. So when I went there with my boyfriend and ordered my usual, I was surprised to see something different when my tray arrived. The actual macaroni used in the Mac and cheese had changed. It wasn't bad but it also didn't have much taste as it used to. The chicken was really dry which was unusual for this place. However, the fries and corn bread were so delicious. I usually never have a complaint with any of the food at Bobbique so it must've just been an off-night. I will say... Bring back the old Mac and cheese! read more

OK peeps! RELAX!! I read about Bobbique in a local magazine and checked out as many reviews as I could before deciding if I should try it. I've been hunting for decent BBQ on Long Island for a while now. The reviews were quite mixed, but reading between the lines, I knew I had to try. Anyway, I have NOTHING bad to say about this place. The service was good, the food excellent, the prices way beyond reasonable, and even the other patrons were all good folk! I shared the 3 meat tray with my daughter. They don't charge extra for sharing (another plus!), and didn't charge extra for refills on our sodas either (plus plus), AND we had food to take home! The pulled pork was nice, the wings big, and the ribs quite flavorful. The baked beans were delicious, and the collard greens not even a touch sour! For those who whined about the place being packed... go when they aren't crowded! If you have a big group and go anywhere during prime-time, why are you picking a small place? And why whine about it? We didn't try any of the fries, so I can't comment, but almost every other table got them, and I didn't notice anyone sending them back. Bottom Line... Bobbique is worth it and I'm so glad I didn't listen to everyone!! read more

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of barbecue food or comfort food in general. My dad has been itching for a classic Texan style eatery that was local, and not a hike. We cam here on a Sunday afternoon. The spot wasn't entirely packed, but there was a decent sized crowd. Parking gets annoying because there is no parking lot. Parking in the street on a Sunday in Patchogue can get frustrating. Once we were seated, we were kindly greet right away, and our drink order was taken. My mom and I opted for seltzer, and my dad ordered a Heineken and boy was he impressed by how nice and chilled it was. For appetizers we ordered sweet potato fries and mac and cheese. The mac was super gooey and cooked to cheesy perfection. The fries were also nice and salted. For my meal I ordered the 3 pc. chicken wing plate that included one side and cornbread. The wings were deliciously seasoned and glazed, and my coleslaw was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a quick and casual bite, and will definitely be back again. It was my first time ever eating there and NEVER again. The portion sizes were extremely small for the prices. My food was thrown into a box LITERALLY. No napkins no nothing just a cardboard box with my food thrown in and leaking at the bottom. It wasn't busy for any mistakes. The only thing that I enjoyed was the two pieces of cornbread. Out of all my experiences on trying new places this was by far the worst. The collard greens didn't taste like collard greens more like VINEGAR! I would of given it no stars if it had the option. After reading glowing recommendations, I purchased my husband a gift card for Father's Day for a date tonight. Tonight we drove 45 minutes to one of the worst BBQ places I've ever been to. For an appetizer we ordered burnt ends. Burnt ends are suppose to melt in your mouth. It's the juiciest part of the brisket. We paid $11.95 for burnt ends that we're so rough they hurt going down our throats. It was dry and saturated in BBQ sauce. For a main course I ordered ribs, Mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries. The ribs were undercooked I had to tear with my teeth the meat off the bone. Ribs that are smoked long enough will fall off the bone however, nothing came off easy. I only ate 2 ribs and left the rest. I didn't even take home left overs. The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy but rather gritty in my mouth. The fries were Ok. My husband ordered brisket, cold slaw and beans. The brisket was OK, but the best we've tasted. Beans came out piping hot, to hot to eat. Almost as if they were heated up in the microwave before serving. Overall service was good but the food left little to be desired for. read more

A little expensive for BBQ, but it's pretty good. We usually do take out, but we have eaten there a few times too. It's a ok place if you have children. The food is good, though they go a little overboard with the salt on some of their dishes. I ordered a couple of trays of chicken and ribs for a party recently and it went over very well.
