I was craving something to drink and decided to try the new Boba Studio. I came in right at open on a weekend and it was pretty quiet. I got the Mango Milk Bar which is milk with their homemade fresh mango puree and I was very impressed. I could tell that they used real mangoes and that it was perfectly ripened which was great. Delicious! I'm always looking around for new boba spots that aren't the chain locations. This place is pretty new (opened 2 weeks ago!). I got the Brown Sugar Boba Black Tea Latte at 50% sweet. It was perfect! Had great balance of tea and brown sugar flavor. I gotta come back and try other flavors! The decore was very cute, good seating for catching up with fellow boba loving friends, and the music was nice soft piano like you would find in a coffee house. Very relaxing! Let me preface this by saying that I'm not the biggest boba or milk tea drinker. I may have something once every two months or so. But I will say, that anytime I happen to be in Walnut Creek or near the area, I'll be heading to Boba Studio. We had the strawberry milk and the creme brûlée boba tea. They were both delicious! I love that their default is not too sweet but the flavors absolutely dance in your mouth. If there was one thing I could've, and actually did point out was that I thought the brûlée could've been a bit harder if a brûlée as it didn't have that satisfying texture when you crack it. But that's the thing. I know they take criticism to heart. How do I know? Because we witnessed it when we were there. They had received a review stating that their brown sugar tea didn't have a strong enough flavor. So they were testing out new recipes. And they let us be their Guinea pigs. And they were appreciative of the feedback. They CARE! I'm rooting hard for them. These past couple years have been hard on the food industry. I really hope they become successful! read more

I never write reviews but this place was fantastic. We got lucky enough to get parking right in front. I ordered the crushed lemon blizzard and my boyfriend got the tropical fruit tea. I don't like overly sweet drinks but the cashier helped me choose the perfect sweetness level to offset the freshly squeezed lemon juice. My boyfriend also really enjoyed his drink. We don't come to Walnut Creek often, but we agreed that next time we do, we will be stopping by Boba Studio again! read more

When I came here I didn't know what to expect the ad on their window caught my attention because it had cute stuffed animals on it and d that's when I realized this place probably make the surprise boba cups ! When I walked in I was amazed by their beautiful decor! They have a phone booth that is great to take pictures in ! The staff here are really nice and kind! An employee let me have 2 free samples of the kind of bobas that they had here and they both tasted amazing!!! It's been a minute since I've really enjoyed drinking boba, so I'm glad that Boba Studio hits the spot! Their teas are strong in flavor and I really appreciate how they use real fruit juice and pieces in their drinks. It makes the drinks refreshing and satisfying. Let me start this by saying all the boba places aren't that amazing in Walnut Creek and this one is probably the best but just not amazing enough to make me come back. We received a gift card for the holidays so that's probably the only reason we went otherwise we would stick to our usual, Happy Lemon in San Ramon. Our first time we ordered an assam black milk tea with honey boba & Thai milk tea with honey boba. The drinks this time were actually good. We were pleasantly surprised. The boba was sweet and chewy, the tea had a good brew not too light and not too strong. This made us think they were decent enough to come back. The second time we went we got an assam black milk tea with honey boba & an assam black tea with honey boba. This time around the drinks were watered down & barely tasted like tea. We also tried using our gift card at the ordering kiosk and it didn't accept the gift card. Today we went to finally use up what was left of the gift card and we ordered an Assam black milk tea with honey boba & an oolong tea with honey boba. Yet again, the drinks are watered down & just didn't taste great compared to the first time. The actual boba toppings however never disappoint so if that's all you care for you'll like this place but the tea isn't that great. I'm convinced the workers don't try their drinks or don't have a specific process of how they brew everything because the taste is inconsistent. 3/5 starts because the ambiance is cute and clean & it smells good. The service is good. The workers are really sweet but the drinks are just bland. read more

( I have to go back next time to their tea drinks!!!) it's so hard to make strawberry drink taste good and not artificially. I ordered all kinds of strawberry drinks at different boba places before, this boba studio place is by far the BEST!!! Their strawberries taste so fresh and in chunks!!! The sweet level is just right, it complements the fruity flavor and I can tell they are using good quality sugar cuz I don't get the funny aftertaste when I finished it. The worst boba place I have ever been. They have fake models of what the boba should look like and my drink was nothing like it. It has some weird boba pure at the bottom and most of the class was milk. So you get a glass of milk for $7. If was so bad I had to turn it back. read more

Unfortunately I was not a big fan after visiting this boba shop for the first time recently. It's very cute, and located near other shops/restaurants in downtown Walnut Creek. I love the large windows looking onto the street and there's plenty of seating. However, to begin with, I personally really dislike self-service kiosks (at least when they are the only option, as was the case here). I find them cumbersome and impersonal and they don't allow you to ask any questions about the menu. This might have been tolerable except once I got my drink, I was further disappointed. I typically get the same style of drink with very minor variations no matter the boba shop I visit, which in this case was a jasmine milk tea with regular (honey) boba and no added sugar. Compared to other places the drink seemed very watery, not creamy, and it had a really odd, almost plastic-y (?) taste. I couldn't place it. At first, trying to give the benefit of the doubt, I thought maybe they just brewed the tea really strong. I know they expect most customers to add sugar. But I've had a lot of jasmine tea in my life and it did not taste like any tea I know, and I always get zero sugar and have never encountered this taste before. Very odd and not pleasant. The boba for me personally was also a little too soft and a little too sweet, but that's more of a subjective preference and others might like it that way. My main concern was the taste of the tea, which was really disappointing. Combining that with the kiosk, I personally would not return here. read more
