I felt the boba was a bit on the chewy side and both drinks even tough I asked for less sweet, it was still a bit too sweet for me. Happy to find that they have genmaicha and that their house milk tea is made with it! Their normal sugar levels are calibrated to a sweeter level than I'm used to. Unfortunately even at 50% sugar, the sweetness overpowered the fragrance of the tea. If you like 50% at Yi Fang, then consider 25% here. I've tried a lot of boba spots so I know what it tastes like when there is flavor, and this was not it. It was unnecessarily pricy for a sub par drink. Boba Republic milk tea tastes watery even though I ordered "less ice". I had to come back and asked to replace another drink. I got the "boba classic milk tea" which they highly recommended and it was supposed to be better. It is the same "watery with no flavor of tea whatsoever. I really wanted to like Boba Republic. In fact, so much that I gave it two chances. Upon walking into the store, you are greeted by a modern looking menu and a clean and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Boba Republic Milk Tea, the "signature milk tea made with genmaicha tea leaves". Sounded fancy. Got it 25% sweet with boba. My friend also ordered the same drink, and we had the same opinion. We tasted some barley (I guess made it taste healthier), but felt that the tea was too watery. The strength of the tea makes or breaks it for me. Boba was okay as well. Maybe it was just this specific tea. I wasn't ready to give up on Boba Republic, so I decided to order a basic Green Milk Tea. Try the basics, and maybe it will please, I thought. I was wrong. I again could not taste a strong jasmine tea flavor. And jasmine tea is one of the stronger teas. I will not be back. Especially at the expensive price point. Over 5 dollars for a drink. Go to Onezo for better drinks and boba. Or Feng Cha in Richardson and Allen for stronger tea. read more

I ordered two teas through the phone for pickup. I actually messed up and ordered it for their Allen location, but they were more than happy to make the teas there for me. They called the other location too to make sure my order at the other location was canceled. In terms of service, they were very nice welcoming, and helpful! 06/02/2022. I bought a Large mango sunset and tipped 20%. They handed me a regular when I ordered a large. I asked her "didn't I order a large?" And the girl at the register was not apologetic but treated me as if I was the one bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad day but the remade large cup was literally a cup of diabetes. You could not taste the tea or any flavor. It was sugar, a whole lot of syrup, and more sugar. It gave me a headache with how sweet it is. I went back inside and asked them to tone down the sweetness for me. Again, mean girl greeted me and looked at me like I was a Karen. Another male worker thankfully stepped in and had made me a new cup. I hear her complaining to him about how "he told her" to make it that sweet... I also heard the male workers instruct and teach her how to make it correctly. The male worker handed me my new cup and it tasted delightful. It just sucks that the girl did not know how to handle customer concerns even when the customer was not at fault. Will be coming back but Boba Republic needs to train more and teach new employees how to handle customer concerns and be nicer. It was just a cup of boba and she gave me the death glare for complaining about the sweetness. read more

We tried the classic black milk tea and found that it was sweeter and more watery than other places; it tastes exactly like sweet tea. For milk teas, the regular size is $4.25 and large is $4.75. I had seen the place so many times before and I eventually tried it and although the prices are pretty reasonable the worker there messed up my order when she asked me how much sugar I wanted and I said 125% but on the receipt she gave me 75% and then before I left they said if I order without ice again because I decided to buy the choice was kind of last minute then i would have to be charged for it which is weird charging for a drink without ice and the tea bearly had any flavor but the boba made it have flavor overall needs some work and probably wouldn't recommend read more

Solid boba place in the area! I prefer it than bobaland that's nearby. Clean and modern interior. If you're environmentally friendly, they have options of both regular boba straws and biodegradable ones. Any drinks I've tried here has been solid. The tapioca pearls are always the right texture. The sweetness on the milk based drinks are a little too sweet, so I would suggest adjusting the level to your liking. read more

One of my favorite things about Dallas is the variety of boba spots. After searching on Yelp, this spot popped up so naturally, we wanted to check it out. First off, their customer service is great. They have a huge team in the back making drinks very quickly. However, the drink itself was subpar and watered down. You couldn't taste the tea flavor which was very disappointing. Boba was okay but nothing special. We also ordered a mochinut and that tasted pretty good! It was lemon flavored which we could taste- it was airy & light. Not sure if I'd make the drive and come back but hopefully this place will improve with time. read more

Heard this place for everytime I stop by mitsuwa, it's 45 minute away from me but it replaced blackballs. I wanted to try this place because of the best logo so it caught my attention. - Atmosphere: Small and comfortable place for studying and mini hangout, staff is nice btw! - Boba: First thing I saw was earl grey milk tea and I got that and with boba. Second they also do custom boba so my fiancé did that but I wish I near what he added in. BUT the problem I had was... when I got my drink my early grey wasn't "milk" tea and so I asked and they forgot the milk, they didn't add enough milk I wanted; then the second problem was that the boba wasn't squishy, it was semi hard and made the drink not satisfying, third was the flavor and taste of the earl grey, it wasn't earl grey enough to where I only tasted milk and hard boba. On a scale of 1-10, I would rank them at 20 because they get extra points for putting health above everything. They require masks for both employees and customers.
