The differences between the previous boba shop here, Boil Tea and Boba Joy are the hot food menu and dessert selection. The last shop didn't have snacks like popcorn chicken. Whereas Boba Joy doesn't have shaved ice, crepes or waffles like the last place. Hopefully this place stays.
Boba Joy felt archaic. The menu was three 8.5x11 pieces of paper taped by the counter. I had no clue to as where the menu was until the worker told me to look on the side. There's no touch screen kiosk ordering. Drinks are $5 for everything. There's no annoying Mandarin Chinese music playing, which I liked. My drink came out faster than the previous establishment. Although the last owner lady was always super cool to me. They were nice people. My iced milk tea $5 w/o sweetener today tasted more like milk, than tea. Their tea needs to be more fragrant or adjust the milk/tea ratio. Otherwise OK. I did finish it and didn't throw it away. read more
