I came here for 2 main reasons: 1. It's drive thru and 2. They have popcorn chicken. The line was a little long, but moved at a good pace. When I ordered the chicken, they said it would take 20 minutes so I skipped it. The drinks were good though. I thought the purple one came with boba, but it didn't so I guess you have to specify if you want it. read more

Came by on a Thursday night and was excited to experience my first boba drive through! Even though there were only a few cars ahead of us, it did seem like it probably would have been faster ordering in person. Besides that, it was nice to stay in the car to get boba! I ordered the strawberry yogurt blend with boba and it was delish! Boba was soft and chewy; the drink was not too sweet and a perfect blend of strawberry and yogurt. Tl;dr - quality drinks, large size for a decent price, boba could be better If you're looking for a super high quality boba drink, this place certainly lives up to the hype and its popularity! I went on a ~9pm Saturday, and was surprised on how long the drive thru line is. Yes, they have drive thru, but they also had plenty of parking in the back, in which the wait was arguably shorter than the drive thru (I would personally just park and order, never understood Americans and their drive thru lol). They also have the extra large boba sizings! I ordered a Hokkaido Milk Tea and  Jasmine Milk Tea. Let's start with the Hokkaido Milk Tea, since that drink was super rich and creamy. and stood out more. I would recommend this drink if it's your first time, it was pretty unique and different from the other Hokkaidos I've had. However, I would also order less sweet; the regular sweetness I got was a little too sweet and kinda hurt my throat from the sweetness after a while. The Jasmine Milk Tea was pretty average, but it is definitely more creamy and there is also more tea presence. It's a good drink if you wanna stay on the safer side of ordering, IMO you can't go wrong with a Jasmine! Their boba pearls were decent, but could use improvement. It should be noted that they are a bit smaller than your average pearl size, but overall nbd. Their boba was a little too soft, yeah it was chewy, but it was missing the bouncy feeling (texture was slightly off). It did have its own brown sugar taste though! I tried their Hokkaido Milk Tea without boba and OMG it was excellent!! A rich, deep black milk flavor in every refreshing sip. The milk tea was intoxicatingly sweet (not overtly sweet though), so be warned it is addictive lol. Even with a regular size, I was left wanting more after finishing my drink. Boba avenue has always been my ticket places for boba. The franchise's drinks are always good. This location also had drive thru which is nice if you don't want to step out the car. It will get busy and a line will form, but that's the price of being lazy. You can still park and order inside if you don't want to wait. They also have happy hour that's a good deal, iirc, like buy one get one. I would recommend this place for boba or just plain fruit or milk teas for those who are familiar and unfamiliar as I think the flavors are all around good read more

Being one of very few boba places with a drive through, this place is really popular and the line of cars often extends beyond its driveway. Don't be fooled though, because there are plenty of seats outside and several tables within. The benches outside, in particular, have a lot of character as they're made from tailgates of different pickup trucks. My group has an enjoyable time out on the patio chatting and sipping on our drinks. The drinks are all very good. I enjoyed the Mango Yogurt Blended with 25% sweetness, which was perfect as it allowed the tartness to stand out. The Messy Purple Sweet Potato Milk was enjoyed at 100% sweetness by my friend with a sweet-tooth, who said it wasn't too sweet. The Strawberry & Mango Green Tea had actual chunks of fresh strawberries and mango, which was quite the treat. The Jasmine Green Milk Tea had a much-appreciated prominent jasmine tea flavor. All-in-all this boba place is a great place to get a great beverage, either on the go via the drive-through or chatting with friends on their patio seats. read more

We stopped here after a big family dinner across the street and were looking for something tangy and refreshing to balance out the heavy meal. My husband ordered a Mango Yogurt Blended which totally hit the spot! Light and bright and full of zingy yogurt goodness. I had a Strawberry and Mango Green Tea with boba and was impressed that it came with actual chunks of mango and strawberry inside. I was a little disappointed the mango itself was fibrous and not very sweet, but I do appreciate when tea shops flavor their drinks with real fruit and not chalky artificial powder flavoring. The astringent flavor of green tea was prominent, which I do enjoy but not everyone may like. The boba itself had good texture and consistency - bouncy and chewy and evenly cooked throughout - but lacked flavor otherwise. This shop has the unique feature of a drive thru, but we walked in and ordered from the counter which was inside a converted shipping container. There is a small outdoor seating area creatively furnished with custom benches and tables that look like they were crafted from steel frames and repurposed truck tailgates of various models (GMC, Toyota, and Chevrolet to name a few). We enjoyed our drinks in this area. One of our group members received the wrong drink so it was a good thing we had kept our receipt. They did promptly replace it with the correct drink so all was well in the end. read more

Note to self: DO NOT visit first thing in the morning - apparently no boba is available when they open at 11am! The Yelp information says they open at 10:30am, but when we arrived at 10:50am, we discovered that they don't actually open until 11am. I've sent a photo of the hours so this can be updated. Once they opened 10 minutes later, I ordered the Messy Purple Sweet Potato with crystal boba. Love the vibrant purple & the ability to specify the sweetness & ice level, but my enjoyment stopped there. There's little to no sweet potato flavor unless you eat the squirts of potato directly from the side of the cup. I don't recommend swirling the topping into the milk as this dilutes the flavor completely. Also, the crystal boba was crunchy rather than soft - so I think we actually got agar jelly or stale/old boba. My BF tried ordering a black sugar milk tea, but they "ran out of boba" (I think they meant that it wasn't available yet). Then he tried ordering the brown sugar boba, also not available... so he opted for a Hokkaido milk tea with crystal boba. His drink also came with the same crunchy, opaque, cylindrical (rather than spherical) add-ins. At least the Hokkaido tea tasted the way it should. Had higher expectations & wasn't satisfied. My thought is don't open at 11am if you can't fulfill customers' orders for boba. read more

This is my second time back , first time was months ago to try the tea and got a watered down drink and didn't return! But today I came to try the popcorn chicken ... boy oh boy unfortunately the worst I've tried by far, it was soggy soggy soggy and all clamped together so I can see why most of it was soggy and uncooked flour. I came back today since I was in the area and waited about 20 min until I got to the window. Wait started on Baldwin and I hope they figure out a way to make 2 drive thru windows for faster service. I told the employee that I had a bad experience last time and was back to try the messy boba with less brown sugar sauce and the chicken and fries that were too spicy for me to eat last time. The drink was perfect and the boba stayed chewy even after an hour or 2. The chicken was a generous portion and the fries had a ton of flavor and the perfect spice for the mild I requested. I'm glad I returned to give them another try because they really did improve and thank you to the manager for comping my return since I was unable to eat the food last time. It's a Drive-Through and it is also my first time getting boba drinks from a drive-through, it is quite convenient during this pandemic time. Parking: There's parking spots in the near back about 4-5 spots. Drink: I ordered Messy Brown Sugar Boba Milk with less iced and 25% sugar. The brown sugar tastes pretty strong which I really like, the boba is nicely cooked. The only thing I would point out is the drink is still too sweet for me. Maybe next time I will try the 0%. One of the very few boba places that are open late. I would not have originally thought of coming here but as it was the only place that was open and I was really craving boba, I somehow found myself ending up here. And what makes getting boba all the more convenient during COVID times? A drive-thru boba shop, the only one I know of, at least! It was my husband and my first time at this drive-thru boba shop. We really relied on the Yelp reviews and filtering through the closing times on Yelp for our decision of where to go. As we got closer to the boba shop, we knew we made the right decision. While some other boba shops down the street only had a car or two parked in front of it, this one had a full line of cars in the drive-thru, overflowing to the street. Since it was our first time here, we decided to stick with some drinks we knew we would like. We ordered the following two, large-sized: Wintermelon tea with grass jelly (25% sweet) - Light and refreshing. Square chunks of grass jelly (unsweetened) in just the perfect ratio with the tea. Cheese uji matcha latte with boba (25% sweet) - Creamy and full of matcha tea. The boba was soft, formed, chewy, and sweetened. It made the drink a little sweeter than I had wanted (personally), since the bitter matcha flavor was already lessened by the creaminess of the milk and cheese foam. The cheese foam itself didn't really have anything special to it nor did it have a distinct flavor itself, but it was the perfect combination with the uji matcha latte drink base. Their large-sized drinks were more of a jumbo size to me and my husband. We really enjoyed the drinks, but should've ordered the regular sizes. It does take some time between ordering, prepping, and receiving your drinks. I would say the process took a good 10 minutes overall. They accept credit card payment, and they'll ask you for your phone number to sign up for rewards (if you want them). They have a small parking lot with maybe total of 4 spots at the back (before you make that u-turn out of the boba shop). Overall, I was impressed by their concept and drink quality and will be back to visit again the next time I'm in town! read more

Wanted a refreshing drink on a hot day and stumbled across this spot on Yelp. Aside from 7 Leaves, I haven't experienced a drive-thru boba experience like this! Ordered a wintermelon tea with grass jelly, 75% sugar and less ice. I was pleasantly surprised that the sugar level was adjustable since I've been told by countless other boba spots that wintermelon tea is already set in terms of sweetness. Unfortunately, it tasted quite watered down and didn't really have much flavor as I had expected. However, I'd be down to give this place another shot and try their other drinks!
