    The "Feast" for 4

For Thanksgiving, I ordered the Slow Roasted Turkey Farmhouse Feast for 4. It was easy to order online, pickup was very easy, and the food was packaged completely securely. There were quart containers of stuffing, potatoes, gravy, green beans and corn. Not all of the containers were filled to the top, but there was an ample amount for the 4 of us, with a little left over for lunch. The turkey was in a take-out style container, the pie and rolls in boxes, and small bowls of cranberry sauce and whipped topping for the pie. It was topped by a pamphlet which included reheating instructions for all of their take-home feasts. The employees were gracious and cheerful, and made sure I knew about the reheating instructions. The food was delicious and got great reactions from all of us, with one exception....read on for details. Overall, I'd like to be able to give it a higher star rating, with the deduction only because the (very thorough) heating instructions caused me to WAAAY overcook the turkey. They had the meat going in the oven at 350 degrees 45 minutes before serving time. I'm so glad I checked it at 30 minutes, because at 45 it would have been completely inedible. As it was, it was shriveled up and dry, even though I had added a quarter cup of chicken stock to the baking dish before heating. Everything but the turkey ended up 5-star! I really hope they change the instructions soon so more people don't ruin a perfectly good meal!

Mashed Potatoes & Gravy Freshly Baked Rolls

I had placed a catering order for two trays of mashed potatoes and gray, as well as 8 dozen rolls for a church banquet. The staff had neatly packed the rolls into a large box and included 4 cups of butter too! The mashed potatoes came with 2 quarts of gravy and serving spoons were included which was nice since I forgot to bring some. I had traveled 50 minutes to pick this up and it was a hit at the banquet! Everything stayed warm and the rolls were very fresh. The potatoes were delicious and I would definitely recommend doing a catering order again from this Bob Evans. Thanks!

Horrible food but great service. Not sure how you mess up a grilled chicken salad but they did, twice!

I used to come here a few times back when I lived in the area. The burger was always my favorite. Service was slow but friendly.

Food was mediocre at best and service left a little to be desired. Our waitress didn't seem like she wanted to be there.

It's obvious that the cook does not know how to cook. I ordered a ribeye and got a strip, my steak and mashed potatoes were cold. All our food came out at once our appetizers are solid and the main course I'm not one to complain to the waitress, because it's not her fault, but I'll let other people know about my bad experience and I won't ever go again There were six of us we all agreed it was a bad place and we won't return I was in the place when it was called the south turn and I loved it, and they had great food From my experience tonight, seems like the cook doesn't know what he's doing and it seems like the owner doesn't know what he's doing. I'm assuming the owner does not have restaurant experience. The atmosphere is absolutely horrible. It used to be a nice place when it was the south turn. It looks like a dump inside like the owner just turned it into a warehouse. The margaritas had zero alcohol in them they might as well be called virgins The prime rib sandwich was horrible I'd advise stay away from this place. The place was pretty full and only one waitress and I felt bad for her. There was no owner or manager helping out. This place is a complete joke

The Pink Flamingo was delicious. The biggest surprise for us was the cinnamon roll kitchen where bakers are making fresh cinnamon rolls in front of you and you can eat as many as you like! The beauty of this restaurant is that the "fish camp" fixins' are on an all-you-can-eat buffet. But your entree is made to order, fresh for you! Best of both worlds! We had 8 in our party and were delighted to know that it takes 12 for the gratuity to be automatic. That was not an issue, though. Our first server "cousin Richard" was excellent, but then he got pulled away and "cousin Bailey" took care of us. Both were delightfully friendly and very attentive. In our group we had chicken tenders, which I sampled and were some of the best I've ever had. We had shark and alligator appetizers. They were both awesome. We had sautéed shrimp and sautéed scallops. Both were swimming in a delicious buttery garlic sauce and cooked to perfection. One had meatloaf and said it was great! One had salmon. And a couple of people had the crab cakes which they also said were delicious. The sides were also good, and the "fish camp" sides were awesome. I want to especially comment on the cheese grits. As a G.R.I.T.S. (Girl raised in the south) and a devout grits snob, I give my wholehearted double thumbs-up on the grits. I thought my grandson was going to make himself sick eating so much! Final word, the cinnamon rolls were AMAZING!! Warm out of the oven and covered with sugary sauce.

He messed up the order of a table next to us twice and the guy didn't eat while his entire family ate their meals. Not sure if he was new or just having a very bad day. My wife got sick halfway through our appetizer meal and I promptly told him I needed 2 boxes and the check as soon as he brought our main dish... I waited at least 30 minutes until he came back with the check and boxes, then he left again to correct the check for another 10-15. I wished he would have been a bit faster and more attentive since we were trying to leave in somewhat of a rush... I think maybe this place is just understaffed or we got a bad waiter. The catfish was still good the next day and the cinnamon rolls were AMAZING though!!

As we headed east through Port Orange, he spotted a couple of national chain restaurants and I cringed inside. But then we saw Houligan's, not knowing anything about this small local *chain*, and we both wanted to give it a try. Now that I know a bit of their 30-year legacy in this area, I'm happy with our choice. My only critique is that some of the menu prices weren't current. For example, adding a side salad to my Philly cheese steak was $4.99 on the menu but we were charged $5.99. That said, it was a good size salad & worth $6. Which leads me to digress about their ranch dressing... It was REALLY good. So good that I asked for an extra cup for my Philly cheese steak & Hubs' fries (99¢). Our server mentioned that their Ranch dressing is made in-house, and it definitely shows. I'm not often a Philly Cheesesteak gal but on this night I was craving one. When our server confirmed that I could have it sans peppers, onions & mushrooms, that sounded perfect! It was fantastic! And, YES, I dipped in that amazing Ranch dressing a few times. Not sure why I didn't opt for the French Dip, but I'll definitely consider that sandwich on another visit. I chose mashed potatoes as my side, and they were absolutely incredible. Hubs ordered a burger with mushrooms & loved it. We also split a side salad, which is how I discovered that Ranch dressing. IT WAS SO GOOD. Realistically, I'm not sure when we'll be able to visit another Houligan's but I hope we can. We do pop over to Daytona occasionally but usually on the way to Jacksonville or on the way home to Tampa - not really to eat. But now that we know about Houligan's, and hubs still wants to try their Wally Wings, we may plan a future route just so we can visit again.
