For Thanksgiving, I ordered the Slow Roasted Turkey Farmhouse Feast for 4. It was easy to order online, pickup was very easy, and the food was packaged completely securely. There were quart containers of stuffing, potatoes, gravy, green beans and corn. Not all of the containers were filled to the top, but there was an ample amount for the 4 of us, with a little left over for lunch. The turkey was in a take-out style container, the pie and rolls in boxes, and small bowls of cranberry sauce and whipped topping for the pie. It was topped by a pamphlet which included reheating instructions for all of their take-home feasts. The employees were gracious and cheerful, and made sure I knew about the reheating instructions. The food was delicious and got great reactions from all of us, with one exception....read on for details. Overall, I'd like to be able to give it a higher star rating, with the deduction only because the (very thorough) heating instructions caused me to WAAAY overcook the turkey. They had the meat going in the oven at 350 degrees 45 minutes before serving time. I'm so glad I checked it at 30 minutes, because at 45 it would have been completely inedible. As it was, it was shriveled up and dry, even though I had added a quarter cup of chicken stock to the baking dish before heating. Everything but the turkey ended up 5-star! I had placed a catering order for two trays of mashed potatoes and gray, as well as 8 dozen rolls for a church banquet. The staff had neatly packed the rolls into a large box and included 4 cups of butter too! The mashed potatoes came with 2 quarts of gravy and serving spoons were included which was nice since I forgot to bring some. I had traveled 50 minutes to pick this up and it was a hit at the banquet! Everything stayed warm and the rolls were very fresh. Bob Evans restaurant used to be a really good place to go for a casual meal, but they have really gone downhill and I feel bad because I really used to like that place and I would go there often. The problem is the food.... I ordered chicken fingers and fries with blue cheese dressing on the side. The chicken fingers were actually so rubbery. I couldn't even pull them apart and they were tough to cut or bite into. Also the blue cheese was horribly spoiled... the smell was atrocious I ended up having to send back the dinner with the blue cheese after I pointed this out to the waitress ..the manager was nice about everything and the waitress brought me a side of fries, because I was done with wanting anything else. They should focus on is the quality of their dinners and to never send anything out that is spoiled. I don't know if they need different training for their cooks or if the manager is also not paying attention to the items that have been refrigerated, but they need to watch those spoilage dates and toss out anything that isn't up to par. This is the second time that I gave it a second chance in both times unfortunately the food is what bombed.. Visit this restaurant once a month to take my mom. Today I noticed that it was not very clean. I asked the waitress to talk to manager, the waitress very sassy rude wants to know why I said your restaurant is disgustingly dirty she said like how, take a look around. My neighbor and I went for any early dinner. Service took a while. I guess it was because it was about 3:15 or so. When we finally ordered I received my sandwich and had to ask about the dipping sauce which was missing. My companion had to ask where her bread was. She was told it would be an extra 10 minutes but if she wanted something else they probably had it. We both had empty drinks and had to wait to flag down someone for a refill. I really wanted to like this place. We need more places in the area for a nice sit down lunch. The problem for us was the menu. It was hard to find anything that sounded appealing. The menu is heavy on salads, breakfast dishes and some odd offerings like a mashed potato dish served over a biscuit. So my wife and I decided to get an early start on errands (1 January 0737); we decided to grab a quick breakfast at Bob Evan's. So we walk in there is no one in line and 2 tables we can see occupied. We stood there for 2-3 minutes and one of the waitresses comes out of the kitchen and says someone will be with you shortly. The hostess stands up from a booth she was talking with a customer in and looked at us and continued to talk. She continued to talk with this customer never once saying I will be right there. We stood there another 3-4 minutes and left, this is hopefully the start of this chain closing the service and food quality has declined over the last two years read more

Typical American diner restaurant. The food is quite lacking. Ordered the Rise and Shine breakfast. The turkey sausages were cold in my mouth, the eggs had shell in them, and the fresh fruit was decently dried up. I was starving so I just picked out the shell and ate my cold sausage. After 15 mins she got me a side of a fruit salad and smiled and asked about my diet and all, thankfully it was more than one small piece of fruit, it was a real side, only like I explained to her earlier that I can't eat it cause I'm on a specific diet, so I didn't eat it, I couldn't be rude and reject it either, so I smiled back and thanked her, but that side went to waste. Then we couldn't find the drinks. It apparently is a great idea to put soup separate but put cold drinks in with warm food. We get home finally and the food wasn't that bad we enjoyed it. I first started eating at Bob Evans about 15 years ago, this was my first experience at this location and I think it could be my first time in a Bob Evans since moving to Florida. I never had any negative experiences at any of their locations and felt this location was consistent with what I know about the chain. This visit was all about dinner in an informal setting that wouldn't take hours of our time, although the theme here always seems to be about comfort food "homestyle cooking" or "down on the farm cooking" they do offer some healthier choices. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. There were a few older couples taking advantage of the 55 and older menu and a few families but for the most part not very busy for a Wednesday night at about 7:30 PM. After getting our drink order we placed our orders I chose a "Wild-fire" Chicken Salad minus the BBQ tortilla strips and scallions. I chose the regular ranch dressing verses the "wild- fire" ranch but she gave me a gravy boat filled with both so I could at least taste it - I decided to stick with the regular ranch. The salad greens were fresh and crisp as were the tomatoes and other veggies, the dinner portion was just the right size to leave room for a piece of the blueberry bread. Over all this place was exactly what I expected and that was a big relief since I chose to come here based on past experiences. This is the best southern breakfast I know of South of the Georgia border. Yes, it's a chain and yes, that usually knocks a few points off. However, I have always been greeted as if I'm a local and treated with wonderful hospitality. As if that's not enough, they make a fantastic Biscuits and Gravy. I'm not one to eat out for breakfast, especially when I have Mom and Dad right down the street. But every once in a while, it's nice to have breakfast out of the house. AVOID for Thanksgiving meal pickup. We ordered days in advance for a 3 pm pickup on Thanksgiving day. When I arrived, no one answered the phone for curbside pickup so I went to the door. There were 35-40 people standing outside the entrance waiting to pick up their (previously ordered) meals. Wait time was over 90 minutes as they were still trying to fill the 1 pm pickups at 3. The fact that, during a coronavirus pandemic that is killing Floridians at a painful rate, there were people milling around in close proximity to one another is horrendous. The fact that they completely miscalculated their ability to meet the orders they took is reprehensible. AVOID this place. read more

However, when the wait staff is short/rude when they can't find the order I placed & paid for not to mention I had to wait 45 mins & ask 3 different times where my order was....the last young girl who finally brought the order out was rude and made the statement " well, were serving over 300 people & walked away. I think you might want to get a different system & hire people who are more people friendly since this is their job. I won't be back. It's been years since I been to Florida but my wife and I wanted to take a vacation here to see family and some others things. We decided to try this place as I have never been here before. They said they was busy getting the table ready for the family of 7 but there was other tables wide open. They wasn't even busy as it was around 10 am during the week so it wasn't crowed at all. After we got seated a waitress came and took our drink orders. She was really friendly and her name was Abby. Once we placed our ordered, it took a very long time to come out, around 15 mins. We waited and waited. She did come by after 10 mins and said our order was coming up. Once we got our food, we still had to wait for the other half of it as it wasn't done yet. For the food, I got steak and eggs and hash browns with pancakes. The steak was Terribly bad. It was super rubbery and had zero flavor. The eggs was stale and flat like eggs from a can. The pancakes was the only thing that was worth the money and why it got 2 stars. I mean it wasn't like grandmas pancakes but still good. My wife got the biscuits Benedict and it looked nothing like picture as it was missing items. As we was leaving the lady to pay for our ticket was extremely rude in her voice and manners. Breakfast at noon was very good. Our waitress had a bit of short memory issues but our food was prefect and in large sized then we are used to. I had eggs Benedict with hash browns. I have only ever eaten Breakfast at Bob Evans. For this they are great. Plenty of comfort foods in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The staff has always been very pleasant at this and many of the other locations I have visited. Even where this location is makes parking comfortable. Previously I've had a bad experience at another Bob Evans location so I hadn't eaten at Bob Evans in quite a few years. We went to this Bob Evans for breakfast with some friends of ours and I was pleasantly surprised by everything. The atmosphere is very cozy, like a nice Sunday morning at mamma's house out in the country. The wait staff was friendly and informative. We were seated at a round table, which I've never done at a restaurant before. I loved that! I ordered a cappuccino which was delivered piping hot (the way I like it) and it was decorated with a design in the foam and cinnamon sprinkled on top. That was another surprise I enjoyed! The Veggie omelette I ordered was amazing! They used fresh spinach, not the canned or frozen spinach. Everything else was yummy too, but I was mostly impressed with their omelette. Overall, this location changed my opinion of Bob Evans and I can't wait to go back! read more
