Cold food, bad service Felt like we were imposing. Waited forever to receive cold food including the toast.

After getting food poisoning almost a year ago, my bill went to collections. I was very sick and my bill was not covered by insurance, as you know once it's in collections they won't give you a breakdown of the bill. So I was told by Dennys that they will not compensate in anyway. Please don't go here it was horrible dirty and now I'm left with bad credit and no compensation for what I went through. Best dennys around! We eat here at least 3 to 4 times a month. The staff is always friendly, food is always on point and quick to come out. We always get the same server, and I never can remember her name but she's the sweetest k Lady ever and so patient. I ordered a build your own omelet and mine consisted of egg whites only with ham, spinach, cheese and bell peppers. It was so yummy, I only wish they would actually mix the meat w the egg like an actual omelet. Oh well either way it was delicious. read more

The breakfasts have been delicious! Eggs cooked just right, and we're addicted to the cinnamon crunch pancakes! So wonderful! The restaurant itself is much cleaner than it used to be, too. We've eaten there 3 times recently and everything has been consistently good. The wait staff has been attentive and friendly too. read more

It took over an hour to get our lunch. It was mid afternoon and they weren't busy. I kept thinking the food would be there any minute and it was over an hour of waiting. Fortunately we had a good conversation while waiting. read more

Yelp just asked me if I visited Denny's. Well, I almost did. We drove through the mostly empty parking lot and pulled up front. What we saw was a run-down building with a tattered awning and there was a blank space where the Denny's sign once resided. We looked at the general condition of the place and remarked that, if the outside of the restaurant looked this bad what would the inside look like? Judging from the empty parking lot, we also wondered how fresh the food might be. Sadly, it had all the hallmarks of an establishment hanging on by a thread and about to shut down. This is the first and, hopefully, only review I'll write without actually going in and eating anything. I wish them well but, if I was the manager, I'd be outside trying to fix the place up despite "Corporate" allowing it to die a slow, agonizing death. It speaks poorly for our beautiful community of Port Orange not to mention the rest of the Denny's chain. read more

If I could give this Denny's no stars, I would. We waited to be seated for over 15 minutes. Cashier/ hostess then asked us to wait while he checked out three parties behind us. When we were seated, we noticed that the gentleman that sat us down walked away then came back with a group of 4 that were waiting behind us and immediately brought them silverware and took their orders. We waited an additional ten minutes without anyone coming to our table. If you can get breakfast at all of the places near by, I would advise you to do so. Awful service!!! read more

5/27/2017, 11pm. Staff 8s yepling across the restaurant, cussing and complaining about multiple subjects. Then, the sexual banter. "My, you've got a pretty mouth" the waiter yells to the cook. Silence for 5 seconds, then a customer asks, "pretty mouth?!". Then, a movie reference to make absolutely certain everybody understood what was the implied. So Denny's was decided on for dinner and not very impressed. We chose curbside pick up and when we arrived Karen acted like it was an inconvenience. Horrible service we waited more than 10 minutes to be seated and amazing soon as a couple of a different race walked in behind us we were rushed to our seats! The restaurant was not packed, but we was seated in an area where no waitresses was. I don't know how the food was because no one came to take our order. Really only subpar . Had the pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage links, buttermilk pancakes. Waitress was ok, only checked on me after I was completely finished so I never got ketchup for my hash browns. Sausage links were lukewarm. Pancakes we very good. Decor very old and dated kind of had a musty smell. So no, I won't return. read more

I went for breakfast with my family and we asked for a booth and the waitress said " we don't have a booth" so she sat us at a table. Then as we're seated I see a guy in a booth that could fit a family of 8 alone. All she could've said was a booth would be available soon if you want to wait. When seated a booth almost immediately opened up and didn't even have the common courtesy to ask if we wanted to be moved to a booth now that 2 were available. I decided not to eat at that point because I was disgusted already. Maybe if I was a shade lighter I would've got better service. I left a nice Dollar for Karen the waitress and left. Stop here for breakfast , I should of known right away by the unpleasant smell upon entering. But we keep going place was found not to be clean. Breakfast itself was nothing to speak about staff person was friendly but this place is not good I don't recommend it . They do treat veterans well with a discount. I had a sandwich that was scrambled eggs with ham( lunchmeat slices) on Texas toast with greasy butter like a grilled cheese with eggs on it. It was so grease that it made my fingers super greasy so that i had to wipe before i could touch anything else. It came with hash browns (that I wanted as burned as they could get them) they where not!!! Under cooked (like raw)!!! My cup of diet coke was dirty. I'm talking so dirty that you could see the dirty grease scum in the cup because it was a clear plastic drinking cup ... I will never eat there again. They need an overhaul of management and employees. The waitress sucked even the table next to us was complaining. The quesadilla we ordered wasn't even what was on the menu, it was just chicken. When complained she said she thought we wanted only chicken. Then the food we got was just slapped on the plate. Didn't look appetizing. My friend said the waitresses breath smelled so bad. He was sitting closer to the end than me. Lol. We complained about the food and the waitress said she'd take off the quesadilla. But we wanted the mngr. He never came. So after 15 mins we went to the front where the scuzzy mngr appeared. He asked what the issue was even tho he had already repeated what the waitress said. Me, and my two friends ordered pancakes and I got a sandwich with the soup of the day. The soup was fine because it's hard to mess up soup but the bread on my sandwich was burnt and flipped over to not be shown as was my friends pancakes. Overall very consistent, however, the prices exceed the product. Denny's is not what it used to be in the respect that the prices are just too high and a lot of up charges. I take my 87 year old mother here often for breakfast, and we both love this location. Especially when our waiter is John Walsh, he takes such good care of us. My mom likes that he seats us close to the door, where she can people watch, and she doesn't have to walk so far. We'll be back soon! The fancy new hamburgers are really good too, try the Slamburger the best of breakfast and lunch. Also, for a limited time, when you order Denny's online and pick up there, you get 2 months of Hulu, free! I'm enjoying this perk, a lot! Pleasant and helpful staff but.... crap food, flirty and taste bad, we ordered country fried steak with french fries and this was the byggest joke crap food ever eat in my life, only french fries could be recongnised in taste, "steak" is not the ord to describe the crap we got on the plate .coca cola with clohrine ice cubes or pool water ice cubes, i can not decide which of these 2 was in those many ice cubes in our glass . not worth the money and stomac pain afterwards!! terrible! read more

My boyfriend and I have been here twice, and both times our servers have been polite and quick. The food is pretty good, and it's clean inside. I'm rating it four stars only because at times the food can be a bit too greasy and flimsy. For example, my boyfriend got pancakes this morning and couldn't even eat the first one because it had completely fallen apart from so much butter. The food is always served hot and fresh although it seems to take a long time to prepare sometimes even when not busy. Service is great. Friendly and patient with young kids. Host/hostess should remember when there are more than 1 kid they should give enough creations so there's no fighting. Waiters/waitresses have always been kind and attentive. The biggest negative is that the place is not cleaned right away. The floors weren't swept off food and there were several tables that were dirty when we arrived that were never fully cleaned during our stay. Kind of gross to see. I ordered the sizzling skillet - it arrived with no spinach so I asked the waitress if she would have it added (supposed to come with it), what I got back was white skinned potatoes not red, the tiniest scrap of spinach ever and toward the end, I found the top of a regular tomato with a hunk of mould on it.
