Our household is still doing a low-carb diet and my wife opted to order the half-sandwich and a salad special, but just not eat the bread. The picture in the menu was beautiful! Thick layers of turkey and a slice of bacon... Looked like plenty of food for a light lunch, even without the bread. Well, when it arrived... it looked NOTHING like the picture. There was the equivalent of one-half-slice of turkey lunch meat and a small slice of bacon topped with some lettuce and small slice of tomato. For $7.99 it was just ridiculous. On the bright side, we returned it and asked them to take it off the bill and just bill us for the salad, which they did. My wife talked to the manager afterwards and she acknowledged that while the portions are weighed out precisely they do not look anything like the pictures in the menu. The manager was also gracious enough to comp the bill, which we really appreciated. She also said that a better bet for our low-carb needs would have been to order the turkey dinner and get extra turkey instead of the sides and/or sub a vegetable. It would have been nice if the waitress had made that suggestion when we ordered, or at least brought us a menu to review other options. My congratulations to the manager for taking care of the situation as best she could. Bob Evan's needs to stop putting deceptive photos in their menus. What was represented there in no way resembled what we received. Wait staff also need to be better trained in this era of gluten allergies (which we thankfully don't have) and special diets. read more

It took ten minutes for us to order, and forty for our food to arrive - and it was lukewarm, at best. We visited the Circleville Ohio Bob Evans. Overall our experience was good except for the dirty silverware! Both mine and my grandsons silverware was gritty, tacky, and spotted. Whoever does the dishes does a poor job on silverware especially. I asked for a new clean spoon. It looked better but I still wasn't very confident. Silverware and cupsHAVE TO BE CLEAN because it is the only thing you put directly in your mouth. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE CLEAN SILVERWARE! I visited the Bob Evans on Huber Village in Westerville on Saturday, August 21. I ordered carry out with soup and rolls. i was handed a container of dried mush with rolls that were flat. Lol Whoever bagged that up knew it was not edible. I noticed the rolls before going home and the carry out girl said that is how they are baking up but she would give me extras. She was not giving me extras because I had already paid for a product I didnt receive. Once home I noticed my soup was not soup but a dry mush of noodles. I called the manager and she said their soup is full of noodles. Duh. I had a dry mush. No need for crackers. I had to remove the top layer that was crusty before stirring the mush up. She said she would reimburse my account, which I have not received. To date, corporate has not replied to my complaint. Tried the hamburger, all black angus. $7.99 for the pick 2 combo. The burger 1/3 lb was moist enough but for black angus lacked almost any flavor. Trying to be fair here, but I suspect it was frozen. The chili, in contrast was better with plenty of good flavor but could have used the half the salt. Bob Evans used to be consistently good. I'm disappointed with how far they've dropped. You're going to do much better eating at Cracker Barrel. Just wanted a decent burger and left disappointed. Judge for yourself. read more

About Thanksgiving catering..All I can say is Wow!!! Bob Evans should be ashamed. Ordered Thanksgiving to be catered, they said feeds 6-8. Well maybe 6-8 children. Or 2 adults. The saddest Thanksgiving dinner i have ever seen in my life. Thought there would be plenty of food but looks like a lunch portion. Now im stuck figuring out something to make for dinner. Bob Evans Piqua, Ohio. I had an issue with this location early last year and swore I would never eat there again. Almost a year later, because of my daughter I agreed to give them another chance and placed an online order on their app. Over an hourlater no food. I contact the restaurant and the manager, Brian says it's been picked up and should be getting it anytime. Another hour passes and I contact Door Dash, because Bob Evans uses them for delivery. They tell me it's already been delivered. I double check the confirmation from Bob Evans and it has all the correct information, but Door Dash is telling me that when the store sent the order to them they entered the wrong address. Bob Evans is telling me I have to go thru Door Dash for a refund, Door Dash is saying it was delivered where they were told to deliver it, so I'm out my money and my order. Should have stuck to my guns. I will probably never eat at another BoB Evans, but Hell will freeze over before the Piqua Bob Evans sees another dollar of mine. I did talk to the Bob Evans manager again, Brian, who pretty much told me it wasn't his problem because everything is sent to Door Dash electronically. So one company is lying. I grew up on Bob Evans. I cannot think of a more charming breakfast place. This place gets so busy on Saturday and Sunday and at last count I counted 20+ servers. It runs like a well-oiled machine! I like to go on a Sunday morning and sit at the counter with a magazine or the paper. There is one server there named Laura who is THE BEST server. She is so nice and gives the best service. She knows everyone who sits down at the counter, too. I've always been a big fan of Bob Evans biscuits and pancakes. The biscuits have a golden/slightly salty top on them that tastes great with honey, the pancakes are fluffy. Good stuff. A good 'ol down-home breakfast on a Sunday or any day of the week! read more

I had never been to a Bob Evans (let alone even heard of one) before I went to Ohio. One of my friends described it as "the best tv dinner you've ever had"... I couldn't really figure out if that was a good thing or a bad thing. It was DEFINITELY a good thing. Bob Evans basically serves every sort of "comfort" food you can imagine. Their stuff is absolutely delicious... in fact I liked it so much that I insisted we go back the next day. Their biscuits with honey are heaven. I tried their Slow Roasted Turkey Bacon Melt... mmmmm and their turkey dinner was totally hearty. I also tried the Chicken-N-Noodles Deep-Dish Dinner - wow - talk about throwing together about five different meals - yum! Their breakfast also look delicious. Management problems! Waited 1 hour for a curbside pickup. They had my $50 prepaid order, so I, along with about 35 other customers standing around and waiting in cars, were stuck. Although my meal was ordered well in advances and even though I had called 15 minutes prior to be sure it was ready, before driving there, I waited over an hour and received only part of my actual meal. While the employees seemed to be trying to do there best, little food was leaving the building during the hour and there was CLEARLY a management problem. Strangely my meal was ordered 4 days in advanced, and was prepared well in advanced and when I would call in from the curb the employees would just tell me they were not qualified to bring it to me. When it did finally leave the building, I did not receive everything in my order (like missing cranberry sauce, for example), but of course at that point, just wanted to get out of there. I use curbside services all over our area and never a problem until this visit to Bob Evans. Never again Bob. read more

Bob Evans, I've worked there and still eat from the restaurant! The North Canton location, back in the 90's was billed as the busiest Bob Evans in Ohio. They got this reputation by delivering consistent service, great food, and having good people working for them. The masses in the Belden Village area can't do much better for the price than a meal at this Bob Evans. Remember however, Tips at Bob Evans that are left on the credit card don't go to your server directly, only when they get their paycheck. So, leave the cash, and they'll be happier :). read more

We got here at 5 PM on a Friday night and it was not too busy yet. We were seated promptly but then sat at the table for five full minutes with no one coming to take a drink order. We caught one of the other servers and told her that we'd been sitting there and she went and got somebody that took our order. I ordered the broasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. My husband ordered the smokehouse burger with a side of macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. My husband said that the smokehouse burger was average a little overdone but okay. My broasted chicken had a good flavor and was very juicy and tender but the outside was a little over cooked and was kind of hard and burned flavored. We noticed there were many new people working there which could have contributed to the slow service and the food not being as good as in the past. read more

Bob Evans is ok for a convenient, salty, very oily, high calorie something to eat. The hash browns are really flavorless. Mine tasted like ketchup and black pepper (because that's what I put on them) and grease. Salad wasn't very special. Very few choices for people who don't eat meat or who have a dairy allergy. Some servers are great, and others are awful- it just depends on who you get! I thought that this would be a cheap meal, but I paid as much for it as I would have if I had gone somewhere better. I am BEYOND disappointed with the portions your corporate allows your cooks to serve! The food must be good since all the spots are taken!" When we went in, we gave them our name and waited about 20 mins for them to call us up. When they did, they didn't even give us 5 seconds to walk up to the counter before they shouted "LAST CALL..."... that was actually our first call. Our waitress barely waited on us. We only had interaction with her twice and had to flag her down to ask for tabasco sauce... then we never saw her again. The food was okay. We never had "farm-fresh eggs" before, so we thought it would be delicious. It wasn't anything at all special. My sister and I are retired and we love going out to eat frequently. This Bob Evans is one our favorite restaurants, so we normally go there at least once a week. The food is excellent and the great service just adds to our enjoyment. We often have a young man named Josh wait on us and he is a wonderful waiter -- always gets our order correct, keeps an eye on anything we might need during our dinner, and is always polite. We have ordered To Go from Bob Evans several times and this was the first dinner order from this location. The wildfire chicken had sauce on it and tasted like day old fried tires. I've always loved Bob Evans but was disappointed on my visit yesterday. We went for breakfast and it was almost disgusting. The food was either over cooked or cold. The whole grain pancakes I was told now has a grain 'infusion ' in the regular pancake batter. It had no texture at all. The blueberry topping was tasteless and over processed. My scrambled eggs were so rubbery I couldn't finish them. I'm sorry they are going down this path. I have fond memories of breakfast with friends and family there but I can't imagine going back. read more
