Went last week for breakfast and it was fantastic. The sausage gravy was amazing over one of their tender biscuits. Under the gravy was a scrambled egg and some additional sausage bits. The shredded potatoes were very good and all for $7.99. They have a price range for everyone! The coffee was weaker than I like to drink but it's made with plenty of ground coffee so I just think it's a milder coffee. Still good. And plenty of refills. read more

service is great as always , everything on the front of house end is up to par for sure . seem to have quite a bit of issues with the cooks there though , a few different times i've pulled chunks of raw egg out of my dish . opposed from that i have no other complaints, a lot of cooks struggle with cooking eggs properly. read more

Worse place ever to work at or eat from. They have employees smoking crack in the parking lot. I worked there went to take trash out another worker was in the car smoking a crack pipe. She is constantly chewing on her mouth. I ordered food for my wife the chicken was raw also she was suppose to get corn she got green beans she is allergic to green beans she instantly broke out. I call the manager they acted like there isn't any issues. I addresses my boss about the woman smoking crack he was suppose to send her home instead he sent me home. I haven't been to a Bob Evans in decades, but I remember it being good. Although my taste buds have probably changed over the years, there was nothing to write home about. Besides the waitress completely messing up my order the food was a step above cafeteria food. Small portions, probably due to cost savings due to COVID. Ate there with family December 31. Food took a half hour to arrive. The waitress said there was one cook who refused to respond to her questions . When food did arrive, it was awful! on top of all that, the rest room is in poor condition. the mirrors are falling apart and the soap dispenser was hanging partially off the wall. all the toilets needed cleaning. We will never go back there again, and it's sad, because I used to love that place. read more

My dining partner and I go to this location rather frequently, and usually my review would be much higher. However, the quality varies so much between each visit. It is a gamble whether or not you will be pleased with your service and food. Sometimes it will be delightful and others, like this most recent time, will be a disappointment. My partner and I order roughly the same thing every time - The hand-breaded chicken breast meal, upgraded to 3 course, and a small breakfast plate. We share everything between the two of us and we are generally kind and understanding patrons. We do not go at busy times because we both work unconventional hours. This time around, the restaurant was not very busy. We were sat in a section with only a few people left, and every table seemed to be on it's way out. Our server didn't greet us for about 5 minutes, which usually we are fine with. When she did finally greet us to take our drink orders (a water and a lemonade), she ran off and then forgot for another 5 minutes to bring us drinks. When she finally did, we were ready to order. We ordered our usuals, a small plate of french toast and the chicken breast meal. The salad came out first - but not after a rather long wait. It took about 20 minutes just for the salad, which admittedly was pretty massive. She did not bring any bread, when we usually go, it comes out with the salad. We ate the salad and then had another wait for our food. The french toast was fine, but the portions on the fried chicken were off from every other time. Usually there's a regular scoop of mashed potatoes, corn in a dish, and a small chicken breast. This time around my mashed potatoes were smooshed in the center to make room for a runny gravy, but without a solid mound it looked as though there was much less food than every other time. Additionally, the corn was on the plate, leaving a puddle of corn-water. About two times throughout the meal she passed by us and would make little remarks, like "oh! you want water." or "holy cow,"(our dessert) like she forgot we were there. She only filled our drinks once, the water as she was passing and had leftover from another table, and the lemonade after I specifically asked and reminded her. She brought us the check before the cake had come out, which generally made me feel pretty rushed. I could feel a frantic energy from her which made very little sense as her section seemed very unpopulated. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon. Finally, our cake comes out. It is supposed to be warm, and came out completely ice cold. Now listen - I am a fat chick, and my partner is a sweets fiend, we LOVE this chocolate cake. It being so cold, plus the generally poor service and portions, lead us to not eating it at all. We had one bite, realized it was cold, and left. We still tipped our server generously for the service we received - 18%. We are an easy table. We did not ask for anything changed or extra, and when the experience was bad, we left. Neither of us wanted to cause a scene. When we went to check out, the hostess asked how our food was and we politely mentioned the cold cake. They tried to comp it, but because it was the 3 course addition had trouble. Thankfully they still gave us some kind of discount but it still came out to around the same price because of the tip. This review is frustrating to make because usually our time is very pleasant. We go at equally random times throughout the week, whenever we have time off together, and order roughly the same thing. We always tip good, are friendly and polite, and never ask for anything out of the ordinary. The food is also usually really good and never wrong, or the same every time. read more

Disappointing food but good service. Our party of 6 came in for brunch. I ordered the goat cheese omelette with a side of pancakes, my husband ordered the roast turkey dinner, and the kids ordered pancakes and turkey bacon. The food was subpar and not warm enough. I do not suggest patronizing a business that would fire an employee after being sexually harassed. A young waitress was being touched on the rear end and harassed (including being touched again by another person in this Party) by customers recently and managements response when she stood up for herself was to fire her. This is very low quality decision making with this management team that they are unable to identify that it is never, in any instance, ok for a customer to touch a server and that any server being touched has the right to not feel comfortable serving that table. You can not expect servers to have their rights violated and then "put on a happy face" and pretend someone did not just touch our ass. This is illegal and firing this young lady was also illegal. This is a carry out review. We have now ordered take out twice and had great experiences. The food tasted good and was well packaged. We always are given utensils and anything extra requested. I would definitely recommend the cheesy potato soup and fresh biscuits. The wildfire Chicken salad is also very good. read more

For the first and last time I visited this place, the waitress was very slow and inattentive to start with our table, she did not bring us napkins, she did not offer more coffee, but in the end she put the 18% tip on the bill, it is shameless robbery , and the food is very lousy. My husband and I enjoyed the taste of our lemon bread, fruit salad, French toast, and bacon (crispy, just the way that we like it), although the chicken salad tasted just OK. Called ahead for curbside pickup. Ordered biscuits and sausage gravy. When I got there, there was only 6 cars in the lot. I called in to tell them I was there. Took nearly 4 minutes for them to answer the phone. Then when I got the food home, the biscuits were stale and hard on the outside. This Bob Evans is conveniently located near all kinds of shopping and other fun things to do. We were seated promptly and sat at a very clean table. Our server, Jack, was very nice. The restaurant was busy, but he took our order quickly and also got our drinks quickly too. We both ordered the Ham and eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, the one thing that wasn't discussed was the way our eggs were cooked. When the meals came out- we were so disappointed. Right away- without having to say anything- a manager, Walt, came to check on us. We explained the situation and he was SO kind. Without hesitation he took our plates back to the kitchen with a smile and remade our meals the way we preferred. They came back quickly and cooked to perfection! I was told that Bob Evans restaurants were bought out lock-stock and barrel including their name! If so, there were some changes! The menu is about a third of the size than in the past! Really basics and not many option to choose from! I ordered their classic tasting cappuccino only to get primary a cup of milk! Big disappointment! Food was okay, but nothing to write home about! Parking is usually available and the restrooms are generally clean. Service was good as far as checking our table needs. However, I will not be ordering cappuccino there anymore! Food delivery was slow, but they were nearly full for a supper! We try not to go anywhere at meal times to avoid the slower service that usual results. I recommend trying Perkins for Great service, great food, friendly waitress, and a three levels of price to food grouping!! read more

Good service. The waitress was very tired- she mentioned " I'm trying to keep myself awake". I believe it was the manager that came to say hello to my son before and after he was eating. He's 14 months old. So that was nice of her. The fruit tray had thawed out strawberries. Which, I was a little disappointed but all was well. Just skipped over the berries and ate the rest. So disappointed. I ordered online at 3:45 PM for a curbside pickup for 5:45 PM. I ordered a quart of potato soup, a quart of vegetable beef soup and a half dozen rolls for dinner for my family. Included my name with my mobile number on the order. Paid for it online including a 20% tip. Pulled into the curbside pick up at 5:49 PM and called restaurant to notify them that I was there to pick up my order. Person answering phone tells me that they are out of both the potato and vegetable soup. Says I can get chicken noodle instead. No one called to let me know this prior to even getting to restaurant. I said fine. Waited another 20 minutes waiting for my soup. Person did not offer me anything to make up for my inconvenience. Get the soup home. Serve it to my family and it had an excessive amount of pepper in it. This restaurant has really gone downhill. Don't think I'll ever bother going back. read more

It must have been a Saturday afternoon, I woke up with an intense hunger after a long night of gaming with the chaps. I decided to give my self a lil treat, as I am want to do and popped into Bob Evans. I was seated by the front host in Alicia's section, who by the way, serves a look like no other. So I'm just pondering at the menu and she in the most kind and hospitable manner, suggested the bacon appetizer and my eyes lit up so bright. I ordered that, fruit, some toast and a drink. She was just so amazing, probably the best in the game right now and wholly deserves all the positive recognition she could ever wanted. My family felt risky today, so we decided to try Bob Evans on Dressler Rd. We hesitated with this choice because of a prior poor situation with not receiving food in a timely manner (almost an hour after ordering). We placed a carry out order and when I received my order and went home, I had almost wished that I was dining-in, so that we could have better quality of food, proportion wise (specifically green beans). Brings back memories of when I was a kid...first visit to Canton in several years and I definitely wanted to hit up Bob Evans for breakfast. It did not disappoint...we ordered the Blueberry hotcakes (with blueberry topping) and a western omelette. The hotcakes were exactly what I remembered....definitely some of the best I have ever had nationwide. The omelette was good, but a little more ordinary (served with potatoes and choice of bread). Service was very good and the environment was very inviting....especially on a cold winter's day. Will definitely go again next time I am in town. read more

Ate breakfast on Nicholasville rd in Lexington 2/2020. The waitress that seated us had our silverware in her left hand and rubbed her nose with that same hand with the silverwear inches from her nose. Yuck. Then she set our coffee cups down while holding the top rim where you drink from and not the handle. The western omelettes were greasy and tasteless. The green peppers and onions were big chunks and not cooked. The tomatoes were typical of hot house tomatoes pale and boring. Its the worse meal we've ever gotten at a bob evans. Bob Evans is not able to provide any type of bacon. Ordered BLT got 1/2 the bacon on an under cooked piece of bread. Ordered a double meat breakfast got NO bacon. The people that work here need to be trained on how to correctly fill orders. read more

On three occasion, I ordered food for my family of four and had it delivered. Each time I ordered, there was something wrong with the food. I gave three opportunities, because I understand that thing happen and sometimes people can have a bad day or make a mistake, but that is three strike for me. 1. Ordered a family size Biscuits or gravy, came with a single serving a gravy. 2. Ordered the family chicken meal, chicken was extremely dry. 3. Ordered 3 burgers and a seafood sample, two of the burgers were bricks and the sampler was missing the fish filets.
