This is an old style diner with some counter seating and quite a few tables. They do not take names, so you just have to stand in line and wait your turn to be seated. This process was different for us but it went really well as we had probably 3-4 small groups ahead of us but were seated within less than 10 minutes. The service was very timely but not overbearing. We had drinks and our order taken probably with 5 minutes of being seated which was very nice. We got our food within probably 10-12 minutes of ordering which I thought was really good given how busy it was. As for the food, it was all very good. I had the biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and a sausage patty all of which was very good. The sausage is their own recipe which was a little less seasoned than most but it was a very good patty. My wife had her usual eggs over easy, bacon and toast and she liked it all. The bacon was a thicker cut applewood smoked which was tremendous (she let me try it). We may try it for lunch or dinner if/when in the area again. I would definitely recommend this for breakfast if you are in the area.

There was a brief wait for a table. Our server was at our table right after we sat down. We ordered beverages: a Dr. Pepper for my wife and a lightly sweetened ginger peach fresh brewed iced tea for me. The iced tea was refreshingly delicious! We placed our entree orders and they were prepared timely, fresh, and hot from the kitchen. My wife had a Ham and Cheese Quiche with a fruit cup and I ordered the Turkey and Berry with Swiss cheese sandwich accompanied by a side of homemade Tomato Basil soup. The meals from our first bites were incredibly good. My Turkey Berry tasted great and my wife's quiche was outstanding. We both told each other after our first bites, "you have got to try this!" I think this rates in the top ten meals I've ever had; the soup was rich in tomato flavor and the Turkey Berry and the grilled bread it was served on were very tasty. My wife's quiche was light and fluffy with a generous amount of ham throughout perfectly balancing the egg and meat and cheese. We also ordered a slice of carrot cake we took with us. Also very, very good. Moist cake and delicious cream cheese icing. A great finish to our meal. Very good eats! Throughout our meal our server checked in on us making sure we didn't need anything but not to the point of being annoying, just an appreciated amount of proper attention. The setting of the Bistro is settled in an older building with exposed timber beams in the ceiling and pleasantly appointed decorating tastefully done adding to the overall experience. Every person on Staff we interacted with had a genuine friendliness making us feel welcomed as guests. We've been coming to Walnut Creek for thirty (30) years but this was our first time dining at Rebecca's; it will not be the last! I give Rebecca's Bistro my highest and best recommendation, more than 5 Stars with nothing negative whatsoever to mention.

They close at 3pm, took our names at 2pm, and said it would be a 45 minute wait (which it was) but we didn't feel rushed once we were seated even though it was close to closing time. Our server was extremely friendly and great! Foodwise, we ordered the veggie quiche with a side of the house tomato basil soup and the bistro burger (bacon added) with a side of their soup of the day, cheesy potato. They have a variety of specialty coffee drinks but I chose to order the lightly sweetened peach tea for something different. My husband really enjoyed his burger and said it was well seasoned. He enjoyed the potato soup also and only wished they had fries to enjoy with the burger. My tomato basil soup was tasty! The quiche needed seasoning...I had to add salt and pepper and hot sauce and it could have done without all the extra cheese sprinkled on top. It came with a slice of blueberry bread though which was nice! The peach tea was refreshing as a change but I'd go with coffee next time. All in all we'd eat there again for sure and would try one of their delectable-looking pastries next time too. Thank you for a nice lunch, Rebecca's Bistro!

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.

In this review, service and food go hand in hand. Our server was Lauren. She's nice enough. We had a nice giggle over the fact that I ordered a shot of whiskey neat and she served this little shot in a 16oz glass. When we ordered food is when absolutely everything went downhill. I ordered a coney with onion rings. I thought that onion rings came with it (with an up-charge) but apparently you only get a side when you order 2 coneys. My partner ordered a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms added to it. When our food came out, the bun of my coney was dissolved. Someone in the kitchen put coney sauce on the bottom of the bun, then the hotdog, then more coney sauce. I'm sorry. That makes zero sense. When Lauren came back, I told her the issue and she asked if I just wanted a new bun. I said that was fine. A couple minutes later she brings me a plain ice cold bun. I said "um... can't I get this toasted?". She told me "it doesn't come toasted". So I showed her the golden brown sides of the dissolved bun and I said "that's not toasted?" She said she would get it toasted. About 5 minutes later (and my coney get cold at this point), she brings back the bun and proceeds to tell me "sorry the cooks toast them sometimes and sometimes they don't" Ok... but if this is a remake, and you are aware that 50% of the time (although I think that's a straight up lie), wouldn't you want to make sure they toast this one since there was an issue? Well, I look at the bun and it's split on the bottom. At that point I'm pissed. I'm hungry and so annoyed. She brings the full check with no discounts for the inconvenience, sets it right next to the empty soda she never refilled for me or even asked. I told her to take my food off because I was eating it. The split empty bun still on my plate so she should have asked what was wrong or done absolutely anything. But nothing. She even charged me just under $6 for the onion rings. Just horrible service. Someone can't eat because the bun was messed up twice and you proceed to still charge for the cold onion rings that sat there. Maybe 2 were eaten between the two of us. We were planning on going the next day to try the breakfast but nope. The server who took our payment and wished us a nice day was very pleasant. Too bad she wasn't our server. Just so many issues that could have been avoided and things she could have done differently and reacted differently
