Overall, I give BoLee Bridal Couture a 5/5 star rating for service, etiquette, dress selection, and everything in between. My experience at BoLee Bridal was exactly what I was looking for: personalized, professional, and special! I must have tried on more than 30 dresses from a boutique in SF, David's Bridal, and even Kleinfeld in NYC (highly disappointing for a number of reasons might I add)! BoLee was my last hope; if I couldn't find my dress at BoLee, I was returning to David's Bridal for a retail wedding dress off the rack. To my pleasant surprise, the service and dress selection were the best at BoLee Bridal and I found my dress! When I first entered, there was a chalkboard sign that read "Congratulations, Grace!" outside of my fitting room. That extra touch made me feel special and not just another bride-to-be. As we went through dresses, my consultant was great at narrowing down on what I liked from other dresses to find my perfect dress. It came down to 2 dresses and that's when Bo stepped in! She said that one of the dresses looked great, but that it was a look that many brides had (not to mention I could barely sit or boogie down on the dance floor with the way it fit around my hips). On the other hand, Bo said the Pronovias dress (that I ended up buying) was very unique and looked beautiful on me. Bo suggested we try on a veil with the dress and I had my bridal moment. I didn't cry, but I had an unrelenting thought and feeling that THIS was the dress I could imagine myself in on the day of my wedding. When it came to paying for the dress, I was so thrilled to hear that there was a discount for buying the dress the same day as my appointment. I didn't feel pressured at all, since I went in with a mission to find and buy a dress that day. Not to mention, some of the other bridal shops disregarded my budget and showed me dresses that far exceed by budget. All of the dresses that were shown to me at BoLee were within my budget and beautiful! The Pronovias dress I bought was the perfect dress and within budget even before the discount! I have to say my experience with BoLee could've been better and I left with a bittersweet ending to my experience. I first went to BoLee because I saw a dress online that I really wanted to try on and saw that BoLee had the dress at their location. I contacted the bridal store to make an appointment. Karina was the highlight of my experience. She worked well with communicating with me via email on ordering the dress with the right shade and size and guided me by letting me try on several other dresses as well. She was also nice enough to let me try on headbands and veil options to create different looks with the dress as well. Unfortunately, after purchasing the dress I had unpleasant encounters with other staff members when I decided to get my dress altered at their location. For my first fitting after alterations, I noticed that even with lifting up the straps that the dress was too long. I brought a pair of 3 1/2 inch heels as I was told that wearing 2 inch heels would be the perfect length, but it sat right just with my 3 1/2 inch heels. I decided to shorten the dress as I did not want to be taller than my husband on our wedding and did not want to wear hells but flats. When I went to pay to shorten the hemline, I asked how many inches they were going to cut the hemline, but instead of being open with information, the employee became incredulous with my question and asked if anything was wrong. I responded that I was just curious to how many inches they were going to take off before I paid the $400. She grabbed the seamstress from the back and together they came at me defensively. The seamstress was in distressed and asked what the problem was and that she was going to cut the hemline. I responded that there was no problem and I merely wanted to know how many inches they were going to cut that was all. The seamstress responded that she was going to cut off two inches. I said that when trying on the 3 1/2 inch heels the length seemed to be perfect and maybe 2 inches was still going to be too long, but she insisted that two inches is perfect. So me not being a seamstress of any sort agreed to the 2 inches being cut off. My problem was not the fact that I had a disagreement with the 2 inches it was the rude manner that I received from both the employees for a simple question before making a $400 purchase that I already had agreed to paid. On the next visit, I decided to bring my mother as I told her that I was approached in not a very nice way and felt like they were bombarding me as I needed someone to possibly help me out to stick up for me...that's how awkward the employees made me feel. During the second visit with my mother, the seamstress attitude changed and unsurprisingly the dress was still long. The seamstress' explanation was that many brides change their mind on the length so that's why she kept it long and plus after ironing the dress it was longer than intended. Mind you, I do not live in Sunnyvale so this trip could've been avoided if she had cut the hemline with what I suggested from the start. On the last alteration, I had my mother join me again to pick up the dress as it was done with alterations...and that was another experience where the service was terrible. I wanted to try on the dress, and the employee who had helped me with the seamstress, the same rude woman (do not know her name but she is Asian) was caught off guard for me wanting to try on the dress and did not understand why I couldn't just take it home. My mom was even surprised on their attitude, and said she would like to try on the dress before finding out it's still too long or some other issue at home and we would have to drive all the way back to this location. She reluctantly gave me a room...mind you no one was at the boutique, so I wasn't keeping anyone from an appointment, also I did not need any assistant and wasn't going to take forever, jeez I just wanted to try on my dress before leaving the store. But as soon as I got a dressing room, the employee was right outside my dressing room waiting for me to get out and not even 10 seconds later she goes are you done?, I replied from inside the dressing room, 'no, I just got in.' After one minute, the employee asks again, and my mom responded she will come out when she's ready. I then got out (again I'm quick as it is) and the seamstress came out and seemed bother that I wanted to try on the dress and didn't understand why I didn't just take it home. Look I just wanted to see how my dress fit before I took it home. I've always been told to always try something on after the final fitting just in case. The dress was the right length and I wanted to leave as soon as possible as they both made my mom and I feel uncomfortable and unwanted. Also when we left no one even came in to the boutique. If I could hand out more than 5 stars for BoLee Bridal, I absolutely would!! I had the most amazing time trying on dresses with my mom here! The salon is absolutely gorgeous and had multiple rooms/pedestals for each bride. Fun fact, their changing room lights can be changed to mimic your reception lighting so you can get another perspective of how your gown will look like at your reception! Danielle was my consultant, while one of the managers (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name!) and Bo, herself helped during my appointment! These girls REALLY know what they're doing! They asked questions and really listened to all my wants and took note of what I couldn't wear for my church ceremony, pulled out all the right gowns for me, and made sure I was always comfortable! I was an extremely indecisive bride when it came to my wedding dress - it took me months to find a dress I liked and I visited probably 16+ different boutiques across the Bay Area and even in my hometown. Getting a dress at BoLee Bridal was an amazing experience though. I was a solo bride with most of my bridesmaids/family members in other cities. And though BoLee Bridal is a great location for large wedding parties -- I often noticed brides with entire families and some desserts -- I valued that BoLee Bridal was also accommodating to this solo bride. And the garbage customer service continues. I was always sure of which veil I wanted. It was not made clear to me which veil was given back to me, and which was still in the bag. I was made aware of the policy, yes, but as a busy bride, it should have been reiterated as to which was which. As I mentioned in my last post, you could offer the service to steam the veil that the bride wants as a favor for already spending a bunch of money at your establishment. Sometimes you need to repeat thing to make sure the point gets across. That is, if you care at all to improve your service. I even tried on my veil from Etsy in the store. Showed my excitement for it and expressed multiple times it was the veil I wanted. I should've double checked the bag, that's on me but sometimes you put your trust into others to make sure your day goes smooth. Also, as I mentioned in my original post, when it was told to me that the veil was steamed, I THOUGHT it was the veil that I wanted because I mentioned several times in store of which one and I stated it was nice of you to have steamed it. It was not expressed on your end of which it was. I simply thought you did me a favor so that as a bride, I would not stress about it so I didn't! I just can't tell you how much I truly appreciated all of the hard-work, dedication, support and love this shop and owner gave me on my journey to finding the perfect wedding dress. It's my sister's turn to try dresses. EEEK! It was only the two of us, and the place was easy enough to find, great that there was lots of parking. Not a large shop but that's ok. Definitely higher price range which if you yelped it, you would know what to expect. I had friends who went here before and so had my sister, and heard that they're really nice so my sister made an appt to try dresses here. My sister is super whatever about everything so we thought it would be hard, but we narrowed it down super quick, she enjoyed the light chiffon, tulle A-line type dresses. Awesome! All semi in her price range. The girl that assisted us was new so she seemed hesitant at times but she had no problems finding the right dresses and answering our questions. BoLee was my second shop on the journey to finding the dress! I was recommended by my friend who had gotten married last year. I came here with 4 of my bridesmaids on a Saturday afternoon in February, and the first impression was good. This shop was the most aesthetically pleasing out of the 5 that I have been to. The was a cute wall with greenery and a cute couch at the very front of the store, setting the vibe for a fun experience. At the time I went, there was only one other bride there, so each station for trying on dresses felt nicely spaced out from other brides and had nice chairs and couches for your loved ones. I believe McKayla was the associate helping me, with Bo coming in at the end of my appointment to help her, since I hadn't really found anything I liked. She was very nice and supportive as she pulled dress after dress for me to try on. At this store, you describe what you want, and they pull some dresses for you, pulling other dresses based on your reaction to their initial picks. I would describe my style as simple and elegant, with sparkle where it matters. I was looking for a dress that was more embellished (beading, lace) on the bodice and more elegant and simple on the skirt, which I guess is kind of specific. I will also note that they did bring out a couple dresses that were a few hundred dollars more than the price range I was looking for. Overall I would say that only 2 or 3 of the dresses were really to my taste. I would say most of the dresses that were brought out for me were fully lace (romantic vibes) or too glitzy (fancy vibes). To sum it up, Bo Lee Bridal Couture is a very cute, 'grammable bridal salon where you can have that luxury bridal experience. The customer service here was really top notch, and McKayla and Bo really did everything possible to help me find my dress. BoLee is amazing! I cannot recommend it enough. From start to finish, they made my dress shopping experience so easy and fun. Even though her appointment right before mine was running a bit behind, my stylist, Erica, made sure to greet me and my party when we arrived. She asked me questions about budget, my wedding, etc, as well as things that I liked and disliked about previous dresses I had tried on. She then finished up her previous appointment, and my group was shown to our space, and then she went away to pull dresses for me to try. When I got into the fitting room and saw the dresses she had pulled, I will admit I was a little disappointed to see only 4 dresses waiting for me in the dressing room. However, that disappointment quickly evaporated, because basically every dress was perfect. She is obviously so good at this and had really listened to me about what I liked and disliked because I spent more time debating about those 4 dresses than I did the previous 10 I had tried on. When I finally had it narrowed down to two dresses, I had a difficult time choosing, but she was so patient. Long story short, I eventually decided, and now have the wedding dress of my dreams. She never pressured me into choosing (the way some salons do), so I know I made the right choice. After trying on 40 wedding dresses, none of which particularly excited me, I made an appointment at BoLee Bridal not expecting much. I'm happy to say, I was completely wrong! The moment I walked into BoLee, I was greeted warmly and quickly ushered to a cute seat where I was offered refreshments. After answering a series of questions regarding the type of style I wanted, Bo and her staff offered me a lovely selection of dresses. However, one dress in particular caught my eye. It was an ivory dress on a mannequin which was promptly pulled for me to try. This dress was stunning! It was silk, had a detachable train and amazing crystal beading. The moment I put it on, I knew it was the one! Had I started my search at BoLee, I would have saved myself so much time. After visiting numerous bridal salons in the Bay Area, I can say that BoLee carries a wide selection of lovely dresses. I particularly liked that they also carry styles which are a bit more fashion forward and hard to find. Oh, and to top it off, Bo did such a great job measuring me that my altercations costs were minimal since it only got taken in a 1/4 inch. I got my wedding gown here. I was overall pleased with the customer service I received during my two appointments. I did not feel rushed or pressured like at some other boutiques. My experience turned sour when (at no fault of BoLee) Pronovias shipped me a completely missized (about 2 sizes too small) gown after 7 months of waiting. There were definitely tears and confusion when my dress arrived. I can still recall my husband consoling me that he'd marry me in a white t-shirt and I'd still look beautiful. When the dress shipped from Spain, I came into the store to try it on and take it home. I guess the Pronovias staff had one too many sangrias when they were making my order because when I put the gown on, I couldn't move. I felt like sausage in a casing and there was red marks around my neck and arms from the fabric cutting into my skin. I shared my concern with the assistant and emphasized that I hadn't gained any weight since the order, let alone in my neck! The young woman assisting me with the fitting of my dress told me that "wedding dresses are supposed to be uncomfortable" despite me telling her that I felt the dress was about to pop on me. After the staff sorted things out, they realized that the measurements of the dress that arrived were not matching their order request. At this point on, I dealt directly with the owner herself, BoLee. She was able to rectify this emergency situation (as I was now only a few months away from my wedding day) and helped me find another gown which I loved from the samples she had in store. I was pleased with the way BoLee handled the situation although I did wish that my assistant listened to me when I initially tried on the dress and told her that something was very wrong instead of trying to make me take the dress home. All in all, I recommend this boutique to brides in the Bay Area.The service is very good and the selection is just enough without being overwhelming. Hopefully the same scenario won't happen to you but if it does, rest assured that you'll be in good hands. Accidents can happen anywhere and it's best to be prepared and get your gown ahead of time. I was very apprehensive about shopping for a wedding dress and felt very overwhelmed by the experience at David's Bridal and other shops I went to. Yesterday I had my appointment at BoLee's and I have so many great things to say about my experience. My appointment was on a Saturday morning at 10am with Tatiana. The inside of the store is beautiful, there are chandeliers and well-spaced appointment areas each with a private dressing room, mirror, platform, seating area, and a chalkboard with the bride's name on it which is a really personal touch. As soon as we got there Tatiana took us to our appointment area, offered us beverages, and started to ask me what I was looking for. She took some notes and went to pull dresses. Throughout the appointment, I tried on five different dresses but Tatiana did so well with what I wanted the first one that I tried was the one that I fell in love with. Not only did she bring what I asked for to life in a perfect dress, she was very respectful of my budget which I was appreciative of. After the appointment, my sister and I left for lunch and came back to buy the dress, YAY!! When I purchased the dress, Bo, the owner, took my measurements, talked me through the process of ordering the dress, and carried out the transaction. I had such an incredible experience at BoLee's. My staff member, Alexis, was attentive, kind, and made me feel at ease no matter how many dresses I tried on (which was 10!). Each bride has their own dressing room and then viewing area with a platform and mirror decorated with a cute chalkboard sign that reads "Congratulations, (Bride's name)" with flowers or succulents. I'm leaving this review for my sister. She got her dress here. You do need to make appointments for trying on dress. Their consultants are on point though. My sister had a very specific idea in mind for her dress and after a few questions and pictures the consultant was bringing out dresses left and right. After maybe four or five she found the one and ordered it without problem. The issue came up when it came to shipping the dress. Due to covid there was major delays and it almost seemed like my sister was going to need to get an off the rack dress. But the owner made it happen and we got the dress in enough time to have it tailored and ready to go for her wedding day. This is where they really went above and beyond. I don't wear dresses and not a very girly type of girl so when I started wedding planning I dreaded having to look for a dress. My budget was under $1000 and wasn't comfortable going to David's Bridal after reading several horrible reviews. I knew going to a botique would be expensive but I sent an e-mail anyway to find out if they had anything in my budget. I received an email back a few hours later saying that although their dresses ranged higher than my budget they did have sample dresses that were on sale and recommended I come in to take a look. I was hesitant but I made an appointment anyways. The day I went I was so nervous because I was worried nothing was going to look good on me, that everything was going to be expensive, and this was just going to be a waste of time. Sadly I don't remember the name of the girl who helped me but she was so great. She calmed me down and said it doesn't hurt to try on things that way I can get an idea of what I want and that she would do her best to find something in my budget. She said there's always several brides that come in not knowing what they want. She asked me to show her pictures of what type of dresses I've been looking at and then she pulled several dresses. I visited nearly 10 bridal boutiques in Northern and Southern California while I was looking for my dress, and I had the most amazing experience at BoLee. During my first visit, Lisa pulled several beautiful dresses for me to try, and I left the store unable to decide between two favorites. I returned to put them on again and asked to try on a completely different dress that I had seen at another boutique. I spent a lot of time switching between the 3 options and I cannot thank Lisa enough for her patience and help getting in and out of each dress. Top of the line for sure- I had an amazing two visits to BoLee prior to finally picking my dress. At my first appointment I honestly had no clue what I wanted. I left with one dress still on my mind. Although our consultant was great, it was an added plus to have the lovely owner jump in to provide some opinions along with dresses. It was during these clarifying moments my vision was solidified: I didn't want a stark white dress! I never would have come to this conclusion outside of discussion. I made an appointment through their website for their White Friday sale. As I entered the store, I was greeted by Irena who was going to help me. She made me fill out a form that basically asked what my budget was, when the wedding is, and what sort of dress I'm looking for. After I have filled that out, Irena asked if I wanted to take a look at their sample sales and to let her know which dresses I would like to try on. Irena was very accommodating and so sweet! I couldn't ask for a better consultant. She made me feel comfortable and gave feedback on each dress I tried on. After I tried on the sample dresses, Irena pulled out some newer dresses that they had - all within my budget. I must have tried on 10 dresses that day but Irena did not complain and had that same level of energy from the beginning! Definitely a great experience and found the dress I said yes to! We were so honored and blessed to have Bo be the one to actually help us during the bridal dress fitting. She was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, kind & patient with us. My friend found her dress here but just to be 110% sure, she tried on the dress 3x between trying on other incredible dresses and Bo was just so sweet, patient, and gave the best advice/tips. BoLee was the 3rd dress store that I went to. At the previous store I went to, I found two dresses that I loved but had a terrible experience at so I did not feel comfortable deciding on a dress and purchasing from that store. After receiving a recommendation for BoLee from a friend, I decided to make an appointment. They carried the 2 dresses that I knew I wanted to try on again and they showed me many more in that same style. Pretty great varied bridal selection in comparison to others I've seen in the area, had a lot of modern and trendy options like the Made With Love line. Would highly recommend this place. My daughter went in to try on wedding dresses and the person helping her was Bo. Bo's designs are amazing and so unique and fit my daughter perfectly! Bo was wonderful to work with and her shop was the best organized that we have been in. We never felt rushed during our hour appointment. It went so smoothly! I just cannot say enough about Bo's beautiful and exquisitely elegant designs. The staff was so nice and again, they were extremely well organized. After going to 3 different bridal shops in which yes I found other dresses I like but wasn't completely settled on them. When I went in I didn't think I'd find a dress I'd love. Erika helped me & another young lady which I can not recall her name (sorry). They were both really great! Made you feel really comfortable took the time to listen to what style i was looking for. Erika was so sweet, attentive asked all the questions to make sure she knew what I liked & what I didn't like from each dress I tried on. Long story short I came out of there with not just one dress but 3 wedding dresses more then what I had imagined. I'd recommend this shop to anyone of my friends & family great staff! This boutique is really cute and clean. The staff here are professional, amazing, helpful, and sweet. They are knowledgeable and accommodating as well! Bo & her team are very patient and not pushy at all. They are attentive and listen to what your likes and dislikes are. They really care about how you feel in the dress and they WANT to make sure you feel like a bride when you are wearing the dress. They want you to be happy and comfortable because it is your wedding day. My experience with them was great! My mom even commented how lovely Bo and her team were and how professional they were. I was debating between two dresses and they even allowed me to come in a couple more times to try them each on again to make sure I pick the correct one. They even were accommodating in a sense where even though they knew my wedding day was fast approaching, they did not force me to make a decision right away. They allowed me an additional night to think about it and I truly appreciated that. They even provided guidance and their personal opinions to help me select my perfect wedding dress too. They picked out dresses for me to try on within my price range and were not pushy at all. They have a beautiful selection of gowns and have a wide range of price ranges. I did eventually buy my gown from them and couldn't be happier!! If it is your first time trying on dresses they can help you try different styles.
