Foroogh is literally the best. Super super sweet and meticulous. She only wants the best quality work. I had her help me tailor my red dress for my wedding. She worked so hard to make it fit right but when she gave me the quote, I had to be honest and say it wasn't worth it to me because I was only wearing it for half an hour. She didn't get mad, but instead she worked with me to figure out what we could do instead to make it within my budget. After showing me her expertise in knowing what to do to still make it look good, I knew I could trust her with my wedding dress. Things I never considered, she knew and could advise. For example, I honestly thought my wedding dress was good enough, but after her comment about the hip area for my red dress, I knew I just had to have her look at the white dress as well. I've been waiting for my wedding to post this review; we ended up postponing our wedding for about a year so I'll update with pictures once we do get married! Foroogh was quick to respond and incredibly professional, when I brought my dress in I mentioned my concerns and she knew exactly how to fix them; my dress also came with a shoulder cape and NO way to attach it. She created loops for me and walked me through the process of attaching the cape, she made sure to do it in a way that added extra strength as well. Her turnaround time was about a month; I've heard horror stories of people having to wait a long time for their alterations to be done so I got my dress in pretty much as soon as it arrived, when I had about seven months until the wedding (at that point). Foroogh does beautiful work and she is a kind person. However she took my too-big dress in way too much and it wouldn't zip. She said I gained weight, but in addition to losing weight I lost 2.5+ inches. She worked on the dress over the next few days to get it to zip, letting it out as much as she could but the fit was still too tight. In addition the bra cups she added made the fabric gather and buckle in the front rather than laying flat. When I pointed it out to she replied that I hadn't told her before implying there was nothing she would do...and charged me full price ($50 for bra cups?!!). At that point I needed to be done and sensed she did too, so I didn't push it. Thinking positively, i figured the stress of the situation was clouding the way I felt about the dress and once I had the wedding, I'd feel differently. Now months after the wedding I'm still bothered and saddened that the awesome dress I found was altered to fit poorly. Every time I look at the photos I'm reminded of this. I was uncomfortable in the dress and am disappointed with the tight fit, making me too busty and squeezing my back fat to spill over. I hate writing less-than-positive reviews so to leave it on a positive note perhaps Foroogh could take measurements and use a fabric marker (rather than relying on using fabric clips, which could move) and have fittings before the fabric is cut to ensure the proper fit. read more
