I came here for alterations to my wedding dress and detachable train. I am beyond happy with the results of the alterations. I wish I had a before picture because this dress was literally hanging off of me. I lost roughly 35lbs and the dress had no shape at all. But Halena worked her magic and I received so many compliments on the dress. All in all, I had the dress length hemmed, a hidden American style bustle put in, the original bra cups taken out and replaced with proper fitting cups, the dress was taken in on the sides with boning and extra fabric, and fabric was added to raise the back armpit higher. The waistband was also taken in and she placed an elastic loop and hook to the detachable skirt so that it would stay firmly in place on my dress during the ceremony. I feel like I had the dress re-worked entirely and it came out so beautiful. Communication was so clear and on point with both Helena and Kyle and I appreciated that so much. It is a bit on the pricey side, but again my dress needed so much work, and the fact that it came out in such a gorgeous manner, made it so worth it. Anyways Halena basically saved my wedding because the dress I ordered had somehow come in blue and not white so I had to rush order a dress off the rack and somehow then have it tailored. I had my wedding dresses altered by Halena. The whole experience from beginning to end was amazing. To start, the store has a very private and personalized feel. Kyle helped schedule my appointments and is very responsive. When I came in for my fitting, both Kyle and Halena were there to tend to my needs and my needs only. I met Halena and her husband Kyle when my sister took me and my mom to her dress fitting with them. They were super kind and Halena was quick to pinpoint how to make the dress work for my sister. To make it work on my sister's petite figure she had to carve out the dress and the 5 layers of it and it came out beautiful and fit her like a glove. Fast forward to my wedding. I bought my dress right when covid hit and since then I had gained weight. A month during my fitting she pinned regions to alter but told me to come back 1 week before the wedding for a final fitting before she even touches my dress to give me some more time to lose the extra weight I wanted to lose. Unfortunately I actually gained more from stress and she still made it work. She reduced the cup size+straps and cut the dress length to fit my height and then let out 2.5 inches in the dress using lace from the dress to make it seamless. Update: Went back for my 2nd and final fitting on September 12th and everything was perfect! Halena explained to my maid of honor how to bustle my dress and had Kyle record a video of her explaining it. She also suggested that if my maid of honor wasn't going to bustle it, to have the person try it before the wedding; my mom definitely had issues since the hooks were so well hidden and I was glad we took Halena's advice to try it before my wedding. We also made sure the dress was at the correct length for my shoes too, which I didn't include in my original review. Since my dress relies on the strings' tension to hold the top up, Halena gave us plenty of tips on how to get the shapewear to fit properly and how to string up the back. She even took the suggestion from my maid of honor to add some extra thread to show where the strings should be in the loops. The dress was also steamed and Kyle helped walk it out to my car after we made that adjustment. Update 2: Last month I had our micro wedding and even though we accidently strung it incorrectly (we forgot the first cross), it still held up through our 2 hours ceremony and pictures. I think I even lost some weight as we pulled the strings past the extra thread Halena added. Based on that, I might have to come back in if my June 2021 celebration is still good to go! read more

I love the amazing service and hight level professionalism! My daughter and I went in Halena's studio for alteration of bridal and 2 Mother-of-the bride gowns. Halena meticulously measured and pinned our gowns until we like how it will look like. We were offered bottled water and there were extra bottles inside the private room just in case you want more. The studio is very clean and cozy. One thing that I really appreciated so much was when I picked up my finished gown but was able to try it 2 days after and 4 days before the wedding that I needed to make the length to be shortened a little bit more as I was tripping when I walked. I called Kyle, her husband later in the evening after my work, hoping I can drop by the next day. But they asked me if I can come that evening and they will wait for us. We reached the studio at 8 pm and Halena immediately evaluated my concern and worked on it while I waited. She worked on it patiently til almost 11 pm. Halena was so amazing to do that for us. In the store, there is even a display of the dresses and veils she has made herself. What really made this experience wonderful for me was how organized, detailed, and smooth the process was from beginning to end. You know how everyone talks about what a nightmare getting alterations are? Not here. Working with Halena and her husband Kyle was like a dream. The first fitting took approximately an hour. Halena worked very fast yet was thorough. She explained the alterations she thought would be necessary, never pushed anything superfluous. I felt at ease the entire appointment. They focus on one client (dress) at a time, meaning, they won't be working on 5 dresses in the same day - they start on one, finish it, then move on to the next. This mitigates any errors and delays caused from the constant pick-up-and-put down that other alterations places tend to do. And they work HARD - both of them were staying until nearly midnight every day when I visited them! They offered for me to come for my second fitting a week later. Yes, only a week! Though that time slot didn't end up working with my schedule, knowing that they would have it ready that soon shows how much dedication they put in. At the second fitting, small fixes were pinned noted, and they informed me that additional bustles were required because of the volume of my skirt. Though it was a "surprise," they did try to reach out to inform me before I came in. It was clear that it would have been impossible to do without the additions, and they were very reasonable about pricing. Overall, from start to finish, they took care of me and my dress, and I'm so glad I entrusted them! I had an intricate wedding dress that had to have the sleeves and length shortened, and for it to be taken in at the waist. I had been dragging my feet on booking an appointment because like any bride, I didn't want to ruin the integrity of my dress or risk messing it up! I had originally planned on going to what appeared a more robust location with a ton of reviews, but Halena Couture caught my eye because of Halena's fashion background. I also had a vintage dress I wanted to wear the night before and customized, so I bit the bullet and decided to contact them on Yelp. I was able to quickly book my first appointment with Kyle without lifting up a phone! What is cool about Halena is they focus on wedding dress alterations, so I was able to hold off until the last possible minute so I could lose the amount of weight I had wanted to and still have all my fittings appropriately timed. Overall, my experience was great! My particular gown was really expensive to alter (it had two pieces that needed to line up), but the vintage dress that I had transformed and made backless was very reasonably priced. Halena was patient, and offered me different options throughout the process. She also painstakingly removed each of the gemstones so that she could retain the original hem, made a wrist loop out of remaining fabric, created another belt hole for me, and stored and steamed my veil. I came to Halena last year about 2 months before my wedding with a dress That I thought I loved, but when it came in and I tried it on again... it was right. It wasn't at all like the sample I tried on in the store and I just hated it. I even bought another dress (a lovely but very plain $100 dress) from David's Bridal that I planned to wear instead. I am so grateful for Halena and Kyle! I contacted Halena Couture via yelp messaging and heard back from Kyle in less than an hour. My wedding was on November 4th and i contacted them on July 30th because i had read that you typically need 3 fittings for your wedding dress, and i was worried that they wouldn't have space for me. Luckily, they specialize in wedding gown alterations exclusively so my timeline wasn't an issue for them. They recommend bringing your undergarments and shoes that you will wear on your wedding day to your fittings, so they can do the alterations (length & bust) correctly. At my first appointment, Kyle went over the process of alterations with me. Their office is super clean so you don't have to worry about your dress getting dirty. The fitting room has fans too so you don't get sweaty while they pin your dress (mine took about an hour). Halena volunteered to teach my friend how to tie my corset and bustle during my second fitting. I had a blingy belt that halena sowed onto my dress and i was worried it would catch onto the dress and tear it during the flight for my destination wedding, so Halena safety pinned some tulle onto my belt to prevent that from happening. This was about a month before my wedding which was still up in the air due to COVID. Upon arrival, I was really impressed by their office. It was very clean and appealing. After the consultation, my dress needed a lot done so the quote was a lot more than I expected. Kyle ensured me that I do not have to decide now and I can back out anytime. I decided to pay anyway and Kyle reassured me if our wedding was to get cancelled, I would get refunded in full if Halena has not work on the dress yet, I just had to let them know in time. For alterations on my dress I got my straps altered, bottom hemmed, and my dress bustled. I had a total of two fitting and she was able to alter it to what I wanted it to look like! I also got my veil altered. My veil was from my mom so I had to alter it slightly to match my dress more. She did a wonderful job with that as well! Besides her work, I also would like to say their customer service is on point. The first fitting took way longer than I expected (I'm sure it was the same for them) but they accommodated me and was able to provide everything I wanted. Very expensive. I learned from this experience that price is not always good proxy for high quality so don't let super expensive price give you impression that you'll get top notch quality. Update: Kyle messaged me multiple times after I posted this review. I was really disappointed to see that they don't remember me as a client after I spent so much money and are labeling this review as false. It's quite disturbing for them to do this. I think there should be something said about the fact that the only non 5 star review is flagged by owner as a false client. I'll let the reader judge for themselves. Halena saved me as she helped my alterate my dress within a short amount of time (10 days !!! ) Her work is great. She was able to hemmed my dress and add bustle the way I want. They also walk me up to my car to put the dress on the back seat of my car to prevent wrinkle and I was able to leave the dress there till my wedding date and try on one more time there. If you want perfect alterations down to the smallest of details, Halena is the one for you! During our initial fitting, she was quick to focus in on, identify, and explain all of the places that needed altering. She was also very sweet, gentle, and easy to talk to. I am so glad that I trusted her consultation because, as soon as I tried on my altered wedding dress, I was thrilled to see that it was remade to fit me flawlessly. Halena was also very patient and spent quite some time teaching my mom and sister how to manage my bustles and how to pull down the inner linings of my dress to avoid wrinkles.
