After…read morevisiting four of the biggest-name bridal shops in the area and still not finding anything that felt right, I called Soni and she immediately said she knew exactly what I was looking for. She even sent me a picture of a design, and it was exactly what I had envisioned. She didn't have the dress in my size to try on, but I tried on a similar style and just knew I could trust her completely. From there, she custom-made the dress using my exact measurements, and what bride buys a dress she's never tried on? I did, and I couldn't be more thankful that I trusted her. The final dress fit like a glove and required zero alterations before the wedding. It was truly made for me in every sense. Soni was also able to thoughtfully add and remove elements from the original design to make it uniquely mine, and she executed every detail so beautifully. What's most incredible about Soni is her experience and intuition. She has been doing this for so long that she just knows. She always guided me with her honest opinion about what would look best, and she was right every single time. She is a true professional who gives her honest feedback in the kindest way, because all she truly cares about is helping you look and feel your absolute best. She is so easy to work with, and I trusted her wholeheartedly to create my dress without even trying it on beforehand. I am beyond grateful for her talent, her guidance, and the beautiful dress she brought to life for me.

Many reviews here have referred to Soni as a fairy godmother, but she is so, so much more than…read morethat. There is no wave of a wand that can accomplish what she does with her dresses, which is the product of hard work, a formidable work ethic, an unparalleled eye for great designs, and over 30 years of experience in the bridal industry. The immense pride that Soni at BB Bridal takes in her craft is matched only by her passion for inspiring joy in her clients during one of the most stressful moments of their lives, and after visiting over ten bridal shops we are so thankful we found her! Long story short: If you're looking for a bridal gown, expert tailoring, and the most wonderful experience, please absolutely seek out Soni. Below, I've included details about our 9-month experience with her for those who are curious about what to expect (she is 100% worth the time it took to draft this, I promise!). THE INITIAL APPOINTMENT: Soni is a warm, kind, and no-nonsense woman who gets the job done right the first time around with a brilliant sense of humor to boot. We picked up on this right away while texting with her last year, and she was incredibly responsive. On the phone, she asked for basic wedding details such as date and budget, as well as some sample dress styles that I liked so she could pull similar ones for us at our upcoming appointment (which she kindly squeezed in with a day's notice!). She's a one-woman show but incredibly prepared and had some wonderful options pulled for me when my parents & I arrived. She only sees one client at a time so you have her full attention, and we spent over an hour trying on the beautiful options she had pre-pulled for me. When I wasn't sure about making a final decision right then, she encouraged me to go home, think about it, and get back to her with any follow-ups--not once did she pressure me to buy on the spot. Eventually, we went back and she showed me one more option based on my previous feedback and...WOW. The choice was stunning and unlike anything I'd been shown at any other shop--Soni's keen eye pulled through. We made a decision on the spot and walked out of the shop on cloud nine! TAILORING & FITTING: Subsequent fittings were incredibly fun. After we purchased the dress, Soni had texted me a sketch showcasing the alterations she planned to make and the gorgeous drawing put our worrywort minds at ease immediately. One month before the big day, she called me in for a preliminary fitting and the dress fit like a perfectly tight and incredibly flattering glove! She had a few more tweaks to make and asked us to come back a few days before our flight to pick up the dress. Thankfully, she had given us tons of advice about how to shop for shoes, veils, and even fly with the dress, so we felt completely prepared for the big day! FINAL THOUGHTS: Needless to say, my entire bridal experience with Soni was truly one of the highlights of our wedding. I finally brought my husband (!) to meet Soni this week and drop off my dress for cleaning & preservation, and we had so much fun catching up. More than that, however, Soni's effusive joy and persistence throughout this process has made me feel like we've found new family that we never knew we had. My family adores her and we would trust her with all of our friends' bridal needs. Thank you for all you've done and continue to do, Soni--your contributions make such a big difference to all of us who have the privilege of experiencing your greater-than-magic vision. We appreciate you!!

Wedding dress shopping is a very vulnerable experience. It's your self esteem on full display and…read moreyour experience is very dependent on the stylist. Unfortunately for me, I did not get the experience I was hoping for and did not feel like my stylist was able to interpret my vision. This was my 4th time trying on dresses. I previously went to Kleinfeld NYC, Anthropologie Palo Alto, and Kinsley Couture Walnut Creek. I had wonderful experiences at my previous appointments. I decided to come here because one of my friends had recommended them. My budget was $5k so I had a flexible price range. My stylist didn't really explain to me their process at this store so I was a bit confused. I knew it was a one hour time limit and the estimated dresses to try on was 5, but I didn't know it was a hard limit. She ended my appt early at 45 minutes. Had I known I could only try on 5 dresses exactly, it would have been nice if she was transparent about that so I could at least maybe select the dresses I gravitated toward out of her selection. I felt like I was giving feedback after each dress, but kept getting another variation of what I didn't like. The first dress I tried was probably the best out of 5, but from there we kept getting further and further away from what I wanted. There were some dresses I put on and wasn't comfortable to walk out on the podium, but she never asked me if I wanted to show my guests or not. She would just immediately open the curtains and I just felt very exposed and not handled with care. It just didn't feel like a hospitable environment for me or my 3 guests. We were never even offered water. I'm hoping my experience was an outlier and I wish all the brides coming here success in their bridal journey.

I am in LOVE with both my dress and the experience I had at Bo Lee!!…read more I was recommended Bo Lee by a friend who knew of them when they were located in Sunnyvale; they're now located in Campbell. Parking is super easy; for my Sunday 3:00 PM appointment, the street parking spots were empty and the nearby parking garage had tons of space. Entrance is a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but they put a sign above their entrance, and directions are easy to follow to their front door (store is located on the second floor). My absolute love of this place includes: - the space is huge!! I had a dual fitting with my friend, but we weren't bumping into each other or in each other's pictures or anything at all. I saw that there was another person doing a fitting, but she was practically on the other side of the building, so we weren't encroaching in each other's space. - the dual fitting was a special request, and Jackie made sure to put us in rooms next to each other, which made the process that much more seamless - kitchen: one of my girls set up camp and poured us our teas, mimosas, and champagne in the Bo Lee kitchen. Also a beautiful space! - natural lighting: big and tall windows plus second floor venue equals viewing yourself in true colors instead of only bulb-lighting. The dresses I tried on were beautiful, but in the natural light, I could see how dynamic they were as well! Subtle sparkles, sheer tulle... it all came out differently in the natural light. - stylist chooses the dresses based on conversations and preference. Jackie, my stylist, knew the entire inventory. I just described what I thought I wanted, and she delivered!! I was relieved that I didn't have to go through dress after dress on the floor and hum and haw about whether I wanted to try it on or not. (Some people might not like this, but I feel like I had a curated try-on collection from an expert who saw the bigger picture.) - I also love how Jackie had me try on a dress I didn't think was the style I wanted, and she dotted her Is and crossed her Ts so I could for sure say with confidence that that particular dress style was a "no" from me. - both Jackie and Bo Lee took my measurements to make sure there wasn't an error, and it's the little things like that that make you feel confident in choosing them as your bridal boutique. I'm happy, I saw and tried on so many styles, and I had such a fun time! I also went under-budget for what I wanted for my dress, which is a win!

This was my first bridal shop. I looked through all of the dresses available and picked out a couple that I liked. There is a lot of variety here- from big poofy dresses to long tighter dresses and everything in between. Each one of the dresses are very beautiful and elegant. I fell in love with the first dress that I tried on, but wanted straps on them (it was a strapless dress). Jessica said that she can alter the dress to sew straps on for me, but suggested that I try on a couple other dresses just in case I liked those more. I did and it made me love the first dress even more! Jessica made me feel comfortable and was very accommodating. She did not rush me and allowed me to take all the time that I needed with every dress that I tried on. I've heard stories from friends that took up to a year to find the one. I am so lucky that I was able to find a rental that I love so quickly. I was all excited as any bride is to go dress shopping with my family visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, the day I had planned to do it I was up from 2am and on with severe diarrhea, vomiting and fever. Total flu! I called to explain that to the staff and requested to reschedule to a date a bit farther out, because that's when my family is coming back in to town, and I still want the whole say yes to the dress experience with my mother, grandmother and sisters. To my disbelief and horror, I was given such attitude!!!! I mean mind you, I literally had to contact 4 bridal shops total that day to reschedule due to this situation and none of the other businesses (Trudy's and Anthropology to name a few) treated me the way Elegant Lace did!! I was told over the phone "I understand you're sick and everything but this is a last min cancellation so we don't reschedule that far out". All I needed was to shift my April 13th appointment to May 2nd, again because I was completely sick with the flu and that was the next date my family would be back in town. The representative proceeded to tell me I'll just have to owner call you and rudely ended the phone call. Feeling stressed, I immediately called back and said let's just reschedule to this Friday then, and the same lady rudely goes "Really?! Are you sure you're going to feel better by then?" I mean in the most sarcastic way possible. She proceeded to just rush me off the phone again after that. This whole exchange made me feel completely unwanted and guilty for not being able to come in. Why would any place want me to come in as the bride with a fever, vomiting and diarrhea?? NONE of the other places I had to contact gave me ANY attitude or ANY guilt AT ALL and were completely fine with me moving it out to the May 2nd date. After seeing these negative reviews about this place, it all clicked. The staff here needs some serious customer service training. Eliminated this place entirely off my dress shopping list.

Marina at Le Caprice is a lifesaver!…read more I ordered a Vivienne Westwood gown from a very popular bridal shop. When I tried it on during pickup, I knew something was off. It took 3 stylists just to hook the dress together before it could be zipped up. I had not gained any weight since ordering, and the dress felt like it had been ordered a size too small. The stylist who was helping me put on the dress kept reassuring me that the gown had a hard corset, and because it was strapless, it was meant to fit that tightly. Well before my actual wedding, I had my courthouse ceremony... I needed a lot of help to get the dress hooked on, and when it came time to drive to the courthouse, I couldn't even sit up. I had to lean the car seat all the way back in order to make it to the courthouse. The entire afternoon I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even want to drink water. After that experience, I brought my dress to Marina at Le Caprice. She took one look at my back and didn't even bother zipping me up. She assured me that my dress was too small, that it was not just in my head, and offered to remove the zipper and replace it with a corset back! I was nervous because I really loved the top part of my dress and how snatched it made my waist look, but when I received my dress it still looked just as perfect! Not only that, but I was completely comfortable in it when I was sitting and eating at my reception (: Marina was able to complete the alterations super fast at a fair price and I think the corset was elegantly executed. I highly recommend coming to Le Caprice!
