I did order a custom matching veil from Sonthai but since the tulle color on the veil was too white for the dress, I bought a random cathedral blush colored veil from Amazon and it really tied the look together. I had a great experience working with Sonthai to design my wedding dress! I didn't want to drive far to find my dress so I'm so happy he had a location in downtown San Jose. TRY ON: I booked my appointment online and arrived early to find street parking nearby after reading some other reviews. The studio is small so I recommend only bringing a couple of people to your appointment to help you into the dresses. When I arrived, Sonthai already had 6 dresses picked out based on my preferences. I tried the first one on and everyone in my party said yes right away and got so excited. I didn't think I would find my dress so quickly! I tried on the other choices just in case but it was unanimous that the first choice was their favorite. I said yes to the dress and put my deposit down. DRESS: The quality of the fabric was great and had a beautiful train that was lightweight but still very elegant! My dress had a blush undertone with subtle sparkles that looked amazing under the sun. I loved that he designs his own dresses in-house so the dresses are made to order to your measurements, can be customized with different fabrics and colors, and his team would handle the alterations. FITTING: I had two fittings after buying the dress 2 months and 1 month prior to my wedding. He let me try on different veils and suggested a specific style and length that would look best with my dress. I ended up purchasing my veil on Amazon but it was nice to get his opinion and not feel pressured to buy it at his store. I was able to bring my dress home after the final fitting and pay via Zelle. It was very quick and efficient! TIPS: - Wear make up and bring hair accessories to your try-on appointment so you can see which style would look best with the different dresses. - Bring your undergarments and heels you plan to wear on your wedding day to the fitting so he can alter the size and length accordingly. - Bring a family member or friend to your final fitting so they can learn and record how to bustle your dress ahead of the wedding day. It's a tiny studio with not many selections of dresses. Came here as my daughter's first choice and it's in a quiet part of SJ downtown and parking is limited. The selection is very omitted but the quality is outstanding I'm not going to lie.
