I found Lanny's business card at a restaurant and decided to call her. We spoke on the phone and later met in person to discuss the wedding. At first, I felt completely clueless, but Lanny was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Her pricing is very reasonable and more affordable than other places I checked. She was also very responsive via text, which I appreciated compared to other vendors. Lanny is easy to talk to, and I would recommend both texting and speaking with her on the phone or in person. Sometimes it's harder to explain things through text, so having both forms of communication helps. You'll have text to refer back to and phone conversations for clarification. On the day of my wedding, everything was perfect. We can't thank Lanny enough for doing such an amazing job and being so kind and patient with us throughout the process. I was really stressed at first, but she made sure I felt calm and taken care of. Thank you again, Lanny! I highly recommend her! (I'll post pictures when I am able to!) read more

Lanny has many years of experience working so many vendors. We were at ease knowing she had worked with our venue and sort of let her take the reins. During consultation, Lanny shared many suggestions to help ensure our wedding venue didn't look lacking, busy, or tacky. We were most greatly appreciative and impressed when she had called us to notify us about a new color of chair covers she had just added to her collection. Originally we had planned for white chair covers, but we are so thankful that Lanny went above and beyond and told us about the burgundy covers as she received them. The burgundy chair covers were absolutely on theme with our simple/romantic Christmas (gold, burgundy, blush) theme and made the ambiance much more magical. Our basic package included the decorations to the check-in table, photo backdrop, sweetheart table, cake table, 3-tier'd cake, and stage backdrop. Lanny also has all the tea ceremony rentals and ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) available. We had already booked our DJ and Photographer before we got to Lanny, but her other services/connections include all other aspects of wedding planning. She is a one stop shop for all your wedding planning needs. Since it is covid, we weren't sure if cake tasting was an option. Lanny coordinated with the bakery and allowed us to try small square pieces of cake. Although it required us to pick up the different flavors on different dates, it was worth the patience and effort to work together. We couldn't try everything, but we did narrow down to 4 specific cake flavors we knew we'd like to try. We opted for the Mango Mousse cake and it was a hit with all our guests as it was not too sweet. She is prompt with text and email. Highly recommend her service. read more

Needed to plan a wedding reception in 3 months notice and Lanny was able to step up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. She did a wonderful job with chair covers, table settings, photo background, and wedding cake. She made planning our wedding a less stressful task on the short timeframe that we had. We(wife and I) highly recommend using her for your momentous special day. read more

Chì Lanny is amazing! She was very helpful and very knowledgeable about decor and setting. She offers everything you would need for a wedding. We booked decorations, chair covers. And cake with her and everything came out more than perfect! I had a few ideas I liked for my decor. And she was so gentle with her suggestions and took everything I liked into considerations. She gave me suggestions on what would look nice and also worked with me on everything. I love candles, and she incorporated that into my cake table, when I saw it, I was blown away. Chì lanny does alot of events at Dynasty so the staff know her well, it made the setup and tear down so easy. I highly recommend her as she is so sweet and is the best! Lanny was recommended to me by my friends who hired her for their wedding. With so many years of experience she gave great advice on what will look good and what doesn't. Lanny prepared everything ahead of time for our morning Tea Ceremony. My husband and I were very happy with how everything turned out at the Reception. We will definitely recommend Lanny to our friends and family! read more

A1 EXPERIENCE! if you're looking for a ONE STOP WEDDING SHOP, then this is the place for you. We chose basically every package that the shop had to offer because we wanted our day to be as easy and fun as possible. Packages we chose: Decorations all around, Flowers (centerpieces & bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres), Film/Photo (includes thank you card photos), Photo Booth, Champagne Tower, DJ, and Emcee (English & Vietnamese). A huge shout out to Lanny, Kevin, Loc, Huy and Archie for giving my husband and I the best experience that we could have ever asked for on our wedding day. From the moment we stepped foot into the reception, to Huy singing a special song to us during set up, to Kevin and Loc guiding us/helping us stay on track of time, and to Huy and Archie pumping all our guests up, we would love to relive those moments all over again. Thank you Chi Lanny and everyone in your team for making it all happen for us. On a side note: One thing that I sure do regret was not taking our pre-wedding photos here. So if you're reading this, I recommend for you to do that here because you're going to have an awesome experience. My husband and I can be really awkward people when it comes down to us being asked on "what poses do you want to do" or "act natural"... Like no can do haha. Lanny's photographer/filmographer showed us what to do! Where to look, how to pose, everything! I wouldn't want anyone else regretting there wedding photo decisions, so DO IT (: read more

I'm so glad that we chose Lanny's Bridal to take care of our wedding decorations. Everything was exceptionally beautiful. Lanny was very accommodating and helpful. She let us pick up the decorations for the tea ceremony one week in advance so that we could be more flexible for other things. Moreover, she gave us recommendations and suggestions so that we could prepare for a completed tea ceremony. She also has a wide variety of very nice ao dai for rental. The spotlight was the evening party. The decorations that she did were amazing. We received lots of compliments from family and guests. I'm very satisfied with the service and professionalism from Lanny. I have and will recommend Lanny's Bridal. read more

Due to Covid, our wedding was postponed multiple times and each time, Lanny has been very accommodating. She responds to texts and calls quickly as well. I decided to rent my wedding dress and Lanny's store offered a beautiful selection from wedding dresses to traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai. Lanny was an absolute YES for our wedding festivities at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant in San Jose. She and her team transformed a dim sum restaurant into a gorgeous wedding venue and from the first meeting until tear down, she was so pleasant to work with. My husband and I chose Lanny Bridal as our wedding decorator (stage backdrop, photo backdrop, drapes to separate the ceremony and reception area, guestbook table, sweetheart table, cake table, table linens, chair linens, centerpieces) and photographer/filmographer. Working with chi Lanny was so easy. She was responsive via phone and texts. She helped ease a lot of my anxiety and reassure me that everything would be beautiful as I was envisioning. The end result was beyond what I imagined. She made choosing decor so easy. She has albums of samples to choose from and you can customize them based on what you're looking for. I had pictures and ideas for how I wanted the centerpieces to look (I wanted a high low effect due to our venue having high ceilings) and she fulfilled that perfectly. She was honest with us about what would look good and what wouldn't. We told her wanted an elegant vibe and she helped us make that dream come true. She also helped supply us with things for our Vietnamese ceremony, which was so helpful since I am pretty Americanized and have no clue what is really needed for the Vietnamese ceremony. The cake we ordered through Lanny was AMAZING. We got a 4-tier cake and ALL of it was gone by the end of the night. We got raved reviews on how good our cake was. We liked that we could sample the different flavors beforehand. We also got to give them a cake topper to add to the cake for us. Going through Lanny for our photographer/videographer was also much more affordable than going elsewhere. We got 1 hour photos and the photographer/videographer was with us all day. There were some things about the photo and video experience/quality that I think could have been improved but it was not bad overall, especially for the price. Kevin was super kind and friendly too. Overall, we are happy that we went through Lanny for our wedding needs. Thank you chi Lanny for all of your help and patience with us. read more

A true one stop shop for wedding decorations and restaurant draping. I've been to the store a few times to look at the example and to pick out some wedding props. Best prices and quality!!! Me and my fiancé are getting everything we want on our wedding day because of Chi Lanny. Thank you for the stress free and easy planning experience. Update 5.6.2019 Two weeks before the wedding and Chi Lanny has been there for me every step of the way at the times I most need her. She's fitted all my friends for any dress they need, American bridesmaids' dresses to Vietnamese Ao Dais. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect.. our communication did not go smoothly. However, Lanny followed through with her promise that the wedding would look lovely. I got married July 2017, I was my own wedding decorator and planner. I was frustrated and unsure about all of my wedding decisions, one of my biggest worry was that the wedding would look plain or distasteful. I was very hands on when it came to the decorations, and there were times when Lanny had to tell me that I was getting carried away. Lanny is organized, caring, and sweet. She was always available when I needed her, may it be by phone or in person. She often showed me examples of her design intent. I met with Lanny about 5 times (2 times the week before the wedding) to confirm decisions that were made, this put me at ease. On the day of the wedding, she delivered. And when I saw her at the end of the wedding, I hugged her and thanked her. I was very happy with the decorations at my wedding! Her price is competitive, yet reasonable. Photos to be added later. read more

In contrast to other reviews, I found Lanny to be friendly, helpful, and very flexible. I'm sure it helped that my friend's Vietnamese parents had worked with her before and introduced me. If you want exquisite (and expensive) stuff for your wedding, this is probably not your place. If you want decent, very budget-friendly decorations (and much more, but I can't comment on anything else) done by someone who is experienced and dependable, go to Lanny. She has huge albums full of photos for flowers and every possible decoration you could want for your reception. I wasn't too fond of her bouquets, but the centerpiece flowers looked nice. She ended up doing our chair covers (and cut enough silver sashes for 220 chairs especially for my reception because I wasn't as fond of the silver she sashes already had), cake/head/guestbook table decorations, ceiling decorations with lights, and centerpieces (orchids and a candle floating in shallow glass vases for $13 each - hard to beat that). I called several times to make changes, and Lanny was flexible and easy to work with. I'm so glad we hired her to take care of decorations instead of stressing over doing them ourselves with the help of many friends. Probably actually saved money going with her instead of DIY too! read more

Beware...the owner never looks like happy and is definitely a mood killer. I was like WTF when I first went to the store, but on my second visit, I prepared myself pretty darn well and came in knowing what I wanted, got it, kept smiling at her and got the F out of there. Anyway, I give 3 stars because they do have all the little things you need to buy for your big wedding day. Heck, you can even rent your wedding dress and tuxedo from here if you want. BUT, it just sucks because wedding planning is stressful and the last thing you need to see is for someone giving you the stink face. read more

I booked Lanny and her crew for restaurant decorations, flowers, centerpieces, and cake (a package deal) for my wedding. I gave her specific pictures for the 2 backdrops that I wanted and she said she can do it for me but it won't be 100% exactly like the pictures. I was ok with it and left with semi low expectations. She was really good at reminding me to pick out stuff and suggesting what type of stuff she thinks is pretty. She also gave me more stuff than I requested for the tea ceremony (which I never thought about requesting) so it made my dad really happy to see all the traditional stuff he could arrange with for our alter. The morning ceremony mâm qu and khăn look well kept. My dad really like the gate. I'm not a big fan of flowers so the bouquets look fine to me..good enough to take pictures. I came into the restaurant and I was so amazed at the beautiful decor. I chose the coral theme and was so happy with the outcome! The two back drops that I requested did not look exactly like the pictures but she added her own touch in it which made it so pretty! I was blown away by her work the centerpieces and came were so pretty! Basically I loved everything lol Although I have to say, the price could be cheaper. But overall the decorations was perfect for me and I wouldn't ask for more read more

She's always free to talk n meet up with you about your ideas n if you changed your mind about something. She's one phone call away. She finished all her work 45 mins before my reception starts. I also added photographer & video to my packages but that's for later reviews since I haven't got it yet takes 3 weeks. Got married 3 days ago. But they pick a very nice place to take pictures. Have a lot of ideas n poses. Results of video soon to b announced. But the print out pictures at the reception was good quality and nice. Everything is professional! Lanny has experience decorating almost every restaurants and churches around San Jose; she made everything easy for us. My wife side is caucasian and most of our guests aren't Vietnamese, but we hold the wedding the Vietnamese traditional way, at a Chinese restaurant. I was worried about how to make the church and reception not too flashy but not too simplistic as well. Lanny give us a lot of good suggestions with her knowledge about the location we pick: material, lighting, atmosphere of the church, color for the secondary color, etc. And in the end Lanny handled everything in a very elegant and simple way. read more

I'm thoroughly amazed and grateful for the wonderful job Lanny and her team did for my wedding this past weekend. Lanny was able to accommodate traveling to SF for my wedding, and I am very appreciative to her for that. Lanny decorated all my centerpieces, sweetheart table, cake table, reception table and photo backdrop. They were all done with care and beauty. Lanny and her team were professional and very easy and friendly to work with. I can tell she really cared for my wedding, and I am very thankful to her. I rented bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen tuxes from her, and everyone were very impressed by their great look and fit. Lanny made sure all the details were on point. I also ordered bouquets from her, and they were beautifully made. The beautiful arch she prepared for me was out of my expectations and looked great in all my pictures. Lastly, the photo-booth I rented through Lanny was so much fun, a definite must for all weddings. Huy, who attended to the booth all night, was very professional and everyone loved him and the booth! I only have compliments for Lanny and her team! A pleasure to work with and can be counted on!! Her prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be recommending her to all my friends who are brides-to-be! read more

A one stop wedding store, my first thought... hmm, definitely unique. This place probably caters out to the ones who are on an extremely frugal budget. The more and more I think about it, the less and less it makes sense... how can there just be a one stop store? I decided to check this place out because I was curious as to how they can pull all this off. When we walked in, we were "greeted" by a non-smiling lady. Here's how most of the conversation went: Me: Do you rent wedding dresses? Her: Yes. Go there and look. *points* Me: What about the different sizes? Her: *points* (I browse around really quickly and notice that all the wedding dresses seem to be catered towards the non-petite brides and most are a bit more old fashioned looking.) When she realized that I was just not that interested in the dresses on the rack, she brought out a magazine with the prices and said look here. I rummaged through the magazine, not seeing any updated styles and placed it down. Any of the dresses hung on the "rack" where she pointed at were about $200-250 for rental. A brand new David's Bridal dress could start as low as $310. Her: You no like? Me: No, I don't see the style I like here. Her: What your style? Me: It's not in here. Do you have wedding cakes? (Honestly, because she does not believe in smiling, she already lost my interest in us giving her our money.) Looking at the prices of the dresses in the magazine, you can go to David's Bridal and have your own dress there (to keep!) for the same price. Fiance: Wow, who does the wedding cakes? Her: My sister. Fiance: Where do you guys bake it? Her: Home. Fiance: You must have a big kitchen. Her: Yes. (She still hasn't cracked a smile out yet.) We asked about videography and she just gave us the prices... the entire day costs $1100 and just the reception costs $700. Is this a good deal? No, probably not. I think their videographer is a family friend. Now, if you're into a mediocre wedding where they basically provide everything you are looking for and you're really not into being treated like good customers, come here. If not, I would recommend looking elsewhere, cause that's what I'm going to be doing. Chair covers are cheap... so are boutonnieres, but I dunno about the quality. When we walked out, that's when she finally decided to crack a smile and said something like "see you again". Yeah lady, in your dreams... read more

This place really is a ONE STOP. Came here because my sister wanted to rent some dresses and ao dai for her wedding. The selection here for bridesmaids dresses isn't great. But the good thing is that the owner said she could alter the dresses to fit our bodies. I can't remember if this place carries ao dai for girls but we saw a selection of ao dai for men. The only thing is that they only carry a few of the same colors. Her fiance has 6 groomsmen and this place had at most, 4 of the same ao dai so it didn't work out for us. She has plenty of books to look through from decoration to invitation to cakes. I think this place is partnered with Euro Delights for cakes, who I didn't have a great experience with. read more

My credentials come from being a project manager in the medical devices industry and first time wedding planner. Not living California, my visits were limited. I needed someone that was organized and assertive in San Jose, California to execute my plans accordingly. Lanny is very experienced and knows how to refine your visions even when you dont know how to express it. She is good on all her promises and does not hesitate to say things that she can or cannot do. Lanny has a great personality and easy to work with. By phone or in person she often demonstrated her experience and made the process easy. On the day of the wedding, she was finish setting up 1hr prior to the reception starting and returned at 11:30pm. Her MC/Photobooth/DJ Package is amazing. EmCee Huy spoke fluent english and vietnamese in addition to having an amazing personality to keep the fun rolling. She also rents out tea ceremony items like Mâm Qua (red tin baskets), flower arcs, and other decorations. I believe she also rents outfits as well base on what we saw at her shop. This is definitely a one stop shop for all your wedding needs. The set price is definitely worth everything we got in services and rental but most importantly she gave us a peace of mind making the entire planning enjoyable. Highly recommend her to anyone. read more

Lanny and Team provided a great experience! This is a late review, but i must provide credit where credit is owed! We had our Wedding on 01/26/2019, and came to Lanny the first time early November 2018... short notice for Lanny?? Yes of course it is for such a big occasion, but Lanny did not sweat it at all. We were a little late in planning for our wedding, but due to our new born, we had to have the wedding sooner than later. We came to Lanny, with a blank piece of paper, provided our wedding date, and off she went! She provided several options and packages and we chose from there. We then started to shop around for other items such as make-up, and video and photographer. however, after shopping around about 2 weeks later we asked for photographer and video to be added to our package. late add-on ? sure why not! Lanny got the photographer and video added and they were great!. three weeks before the wedding we still had no make up for my wife, and party. Again, Lanny! can we add make up too? Lanny helped and provided make up too. Lanny and her team helped with wedding dress, church decorations, restaurant decorations, and all floral decorations. She also helped with photos for church and off site photos as well as video (blue ray btw!), She made my wife and family look beautiful with make up, and along the way she helped with my daughters Baptism, which was on the same day / Ceremony as our wedding!!!!. She consistently updated and called me with decisions and choices. and as we were talking about different things for the event, she would just add extra decorations and or floral items with no additional charge! as someone who was indecisive and wanted a seamless stress free planning. Lanny made it all happened. After having time to absorb all that had happen, and looking back at the great wedding photos, and talking to family and friends about our experience; Lanny really made our Wedding / Baptism a great memory. By the way, Our wedding was a week before Lunar New Year, and she had a lot of other things going on with her busy schedule, but not once did we feel that we were forgotten and given less attention, and or care. she is a provider, planner who caters to each one of her clients with the same attention to detail. If i ever have any large event that i mean need to plan for in the future, i may have to ask her for her help! Thank you Lanny & Team for making it great! - Johnny & Lina & Lily read more
