This review is long overdue! Vicky did the floral and decor for my wedding on 9/24/2022, and I cannot recommend her enough. My husband and I found her on Yelp, and we truly enjoyed working with her throughout the planning process. We initially reached out to Vicky while planning our tea ceremony, and one thing I really appreciated was that she offered Mam Qua (gift tray) rentals, which made the process much more convenient. Vicky was professional, responsive, and wonderful to work with from start to finish. She beautifully decorated our church and brought our blue-themed wedding vision to life. The backdrop was stunning, and she completely transformed the restaurant venue into something elegant and memorable. Everything looked even better than we had imagined. I also loved that my bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets were made with fresh flowers and looked absolutely beautiful throughout the day. I debated writing this review, but I felt compelled to share our experience. This review is not to slander Queen Bridals in any way, but to offer honest feedback that may encourage some reflection. Like many couples, we approached our wedding with excitement. A friend referred us to Vicky, and we didn't think twice. In hindsight, perhaps we should have done more research, but we are easygoing people. We communicated our vision, gave Vicky creative freedom, and trusted her as a professional. We weren't difficult. We asked for something simple, elegant, and meaningful. Instead, we experienced stress, embarrassment, and disappointment. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Vicky voiced concerns that our venue, Koi Palace, was too small. We reassured her we had attended several beautiful weddings there ourselves, space doesn't seem to be an issue. While she eventually said she'd make it work, her lingering doubt was noticeable. On the day of the wedding, I arrived at the venue at 5:20 PM and found our guests waiting outside due to the venue not being ready. Inside, I observed Vicky and her team still working and did not wrap up until 6:00 PM, the scheduled start time of our reception. Later, Vicky insisted she had finished by 5:30 PM and had time to mingle with our vendors, but that version didn't align with what I witnessed or what our vendors shared. The most heartbreaking part came when my wife and I stood before the photo backdrop to take pictures with our guests. Instead of our correct monogram, the backdrop displayed the letters "V & A," despite my wife's name starting with a "J". Our guests noticed and pointed it out. We were stunned. To us, this wasn't a minor mistake, it was a glaring and deeply embarrassing moment. We ended up removing the initials ourselves. Even then, we didn't lash out. We waited, hoping Vicky might follow up to ask how the day went. She didn't. Two days later, I reached out and met with Vicky in person. I calmly asked how she thought the event went. She indicated everything went great and didn't recall any issues. When I showed her a photo of the incorrect initials, she looked at it without immediately recognizing the mistake. Only after I pointed it out did she acknowledged it and offered to Photoshop the images as a solution. That moment was disheartening. It showed a lack of understanding of what her role meant to us. This wasn't about a photo, it was about how we felt in a moment that can't be edited. It was about getting the basics right on a day that only happens once. After expressing our disappointment, we asked Vicky for a 30 percent refund. Not out of spite or anger, but because we truly felt the value of the service fell short of what was promised. The emotional weight of her error left an unsavory impact throughout our evening. We didn't demand the refund on the spot. I encouraged her to sleep on it and consider our perspective, to put herself in our shoes. She appreciated how non-confrontational we were and ultimately verbally agreed to the refund via Zelle. Three days went by. Nothing. I followed up with a message. No response. Eventually, Vicky replied and asked to speak. During our conversation, she reversed course and said she no longer felt the refund was warranted. She maintained the decor had been finished well before 6:00 PM and sent us a video of guests taking their seats at 6:01 PM, which only confirmed she or her team were still at the venue at that time. Technically, she completed the decor by the start time, which falls within the contract, and while we shared our plans for pre-reception desserts and snacks, we cannot fault her for that aspect. As for the wrong initials, to her credit, Vicky was apologetic to some degree and acknowledged the error, but indicated a 30 percent refund was unrealistic. I explained again this wasn't about a backdrop, it was about my wife being displayed by the wrong name, in front of everyone, on her wedding day. It was about the emotional toll and the lapse in attention to detail, especially when Vicky had worked almost exclusively with my wife during planning. How that mistake happened is still beyond me. Candidly, Vicky admitted to mixing up my wife's name with another bride. In the end, Vicky refunded 7.5 percent, stating since we removed the initials, it didn't technically ruin the wedding. No, it didn't ruin the wedding. But it undoubtedly affected how we felt. It cast a shadow over the night. It made us feel discounted, dismissed, and ultimately shorted of a service we were counting on. I believe Vicky put effort into her work. I believe she cares to a point. But her unwillingness to follow through on her word or genuinely consider the emotional impact of her mistake left us deeply disappointed. We just had our wedding back in April this year. I vaguely remembered the decoration from one of my cousins' wedding in 2020, so when it was time for me to plan my wedding, I reached out to my cousin to ask who her Vendor was for flowers and decoration. My husband and I are very glad we went with Queen Bridal, the quality of Vicky's work speaks for itself. So many people told us they haven't seen this particular venue look so beautiful before (and they've been to many weddings at this restaurant). I myself was so amazed when I walked in. I appreciate Vicky's attention to details. She's super busy, but will be focus on you the week of the wedding. The restaurant said they can't fold the napkins a specific way so Vicky and her team picked up the napkins the day beforehand so they can fold it in a waterfall style. She took the Alcohol out of the box so it would look cleaner next to the centerpieces. We decided to not go with sash for the chairs and it looks amazing! We also love the arrangement for the walkway. I showed Vicky the inspo pictures from Pinterest and I'm glad she was able to make it come to life even in an Asian dining hall. We had some ideas of our own when it came to colors and putting everything together, but we are glad we listened to Vicky's suggestion. She had a flower lace linen for the sweetheart table, and I'm so happy how it turned out. I also told her I didn't have a specific inspo photo for my bouquet, but I wanted all shades of pink, and let me tell you how in love I was with my bouquet the day of. I even dried the flowers so I could keep it in a frame. We also rented from her for the tea ceremony as well. Finally had my wedding 2 weeks ago (July 9, 2022) and now I can write a review. For the most part, everything went well. The floral centerpieces all looked beautiful and turned out nice. We also rented chiavari chairs, green hedge back drop with string lights, bride /bridesmaid bouquets, boutonierres, table linens, bar tables, indoor drapery, and got cake from them. We loved the strawberry and coconut pandan flavors. It's less sweet compared to American bakeries. Cake comes with champagne flutes, cake knives, and cake stand. Vicky gives her best advice to you when you ask questions. The only mishap during my wedding was somehow the throw bouqet I asked for wasn't there on when I had to do the bouquet toss, but she refunded the $66 back to me. We had to improvise and my bridsmaids made a small bouquet our of their bouquets and tied with a hairband lol....Also the bouquets didn't look that fresh. There was yellow and brown spots on flowers. The main thing is the communication with Vicky was a bit difficult at times. She is very busy. But I heard that she has 2 jobs...Also make sure you have copies of the contract! My friend said they didn't get a copy and that Vicky lost it...So they were not charged the original pricing. They weren't happy about that. But the price is one of the best around here. read more

First off if you are a bride reading the reviews to see if this company is a right fit for you, you have to consider that every brides' expectations and needs are different. I see such a vast range of opinions on Vicky's work, and as a bride who ended up using Vicky and was so satisfied, I feel you have to see and talk to her yourself about your day and plans and get your own feeling. My wedding was in March, I was last minute searching for a florist and although I got quotes from 3 other florists with lower prices (while each person I got quoted from the price went higher not lower). I ended up going with Vicky, because after our meeting I felt I could trust her work and my wedding would look beautiful. The other florists 2 were one stop shop type places so they didn't have much inventory to show and get the flowers wholesale before the wedding so you don't see what you will get. The last florist I didn't chose them because they showed a book of pictures for cakes that were old pictures and although they had real flowers at the store you couldn't get a feel for what would be displayed on the wedding day. The 3 vendors I didnt chose wanted me to bring in pictures of things I liked and how it should look in your imagination. As much as I wanted to draw the map for the vendors to do the work, I had no time juggling many other things with wedding being last on the list (but last not by my choice, but by my other obligations). I went to see Vicky a good handful of times because I was on the fence about vendors I ultimately wanted to choose. She delivered beautifully for me and the same year I saw her work for some other wedding and it was pretty then also. Vicky is a wonderful florist. In addition to doing my bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, she went above and beyond to create wonderful bouquets for our ceremony. She helped with other accessories such as the aisle runner, columns for our ceremony flowers, vases, table candles, and was so thoughtful about sprinkling flowers in places throughout our whole wedding venue. I did not have a coordinator so Vicky's help with the extras made it easier for me. It really exceeded my expectations. Vicky also worked within my budget and made it very reasonable. She had clever ideas such as repurposing our ceremony columns to the dining area, and bouquets for our long dining table flowers. There are other things she repurposed as well which reduced waste and cost :). As with any wedding vendor, be super clear on your requests, review the invoice, and Vicky will deliver. I was not clear on wanting a flower headband for Vicky and didn't check the invoice carefully the week leading up, and she tried to accommodate on that day. Vicky was an amazing florist for our wedding and she did an absolutely wonderful job in executing our vision of floral design and table décor on our wedding day. When my husband and I first met her in person, we immediately connected with her and we found her so friendly, down-to-earth, and accommodating - which are all the characteristics we wanted in a wedding vendor. We wanted to find a professional florist who was knowledgeable and reliable, and we knew she was the one when we met. She exceeded our expectations when we saw how everything came together! Our vision for floral was minimal décor and arrangements that would help minimize costs. She completely understood and offered creative solutions to work within our budget. Our wedding was in October at Nestldown (which is already a beautiful outdoor venue in itself) and she was able to work with my vision of floral bouquets, as well as, provide a cohesive vision with the reception, including the sweetheart and guest tables, that went with our dusty blue theme. We decided to only to do bouquets, boutonnieres, and table décor and we found her price to be very reasonable. She was also a local vendor too, which made it very easy to meet up multiple times for consultation. As a bride walking into the reception area on the day of and seeing how everything is set-up and on time was one of many moments that I'll always remember that day - relief, joy, and excitement. One of the many fears as a bride is just something going wrong or late on the wedding day and Vicky helped put us at ease that she will do her part and she and her husband really did do a fantastic job! For us, we wanted to hire a professional florist to do all the set-up and floral arrangements rather than having relatives or friends because the day goes by so much smoother and everyone can be more relaxed and enjoy the wedding day as well. Honestly, I was hesitant to hire a wedding florist at first, but it is worth the money for the less stress and time trying to do DIY, transporting décor, decorating on the day of and all that extra, messy coordination in between. While it may be cheaper to do DIY, time is much more valuable and I would rather spend that time hanging and dining out with friends and relatives (especially those coming from far distances) than having a workshop of friends/family making décor several days prior to the wedding day. With everything else to plan and coordinate for, floral arrangements was just one less thing to worry about on our wedding day, and we absolutely did not regret hiring her as our wedding florist. Weddings are expensive in general and I wanted to be practical with my wedding dress. Instead of spending a lot of money on a wedding dress that I would never wear again, I opted to rent a dress instead. There were not too many locations that popped up when I searched on Yelp. Queen Bridal had mixed reviews but was the closest place by to me. The store front didn't have posted hours so when I arrived, it was closed. There was a sign with a phone number to call for appointments. I came back a couple days later with an appointment to look at dresses. Their selection is not so great here. When I first arrived, Vicky had me sit and look through some catalogs to figure out the style I liked. However, just because you see something you like doesn't mean that is the dress they have in stock for you to try on. This will only give Vicky an idea of what you like and go from there. There are the normal dresses and "couture" dresses which cost a little more to rent. I wanted something simple yet elegant and settled for a strapless lace dress. Since I was not comfortable with the idea of strapless, I wanted to add a shoulder strap. I've seen some pictures of a single asymmetric strap and wanted to see how that would look. They used sample fabrics to see where I wanted the strap but I never got to see the final material before my dress was ready for pick up. I ended up not liking it and had them remove it. They should have showed me exactly what I was going to get before charging me for it. My fiance was going to rent his tux here too but he never got to feel or see the actual tux prior to the pick up. We were disappointed when we finally saw the tux because it ended up looking pretty cheap and ugly. He didn't wear it on the day of and opted for his own suit. We also rented seat covers from Queen Bridal and had them do our backdrop. Unfortunately, they didn't carry all the colors they showed us so you may have to settle. They added some drapery, crystals, and lighting which came out nicely. The seat covers, on the other hand, was another dilemma. They did not provide enough seat covers and missed one table worth. We were frantically trying to get a hold of Vicky but she didn't pick up or return our calls. She didn't even show up either. When we confronted her next day she said something lame like she wanted to apologize in a card. We did get a $20 refund for the missing chair covers. But still... this was just unprofessional. While Vicky is really nice in person, she seems way too disorganized. She did not personally come out like she said and didn't pick up her phone when we needed her. I have a nightmare with Vicky. I had book Vicky 5 months before my wedding start. The packages I choose was $12k. But when I check out the restaurant I told her that it's a small restaurant that it's doesn't work with the style we choose at first place. I try to call her couple times but she doesn't tend to work with me until last mins before the wedding. A week before the wedding start she starting planning with me. During the planning she doesn't even know what can she do for me. While I give her couple of my ideas she can't able to fulfill any of them. I told her to cut back the budget but in the end I paid $10300 but she couldn't deliver what I expect. She said she is a good friend of my husband as well as vendor. But I believed she such a rip off person. Couple of my friends know her warn me about her decor prices is high but I believed you get what you paid for. But I don't get what I paid for. Because of her I was about to cancel my wedding. My sign in table have most basic flowers. My sweet heart table flowers is just like bigger center pieces nothing different ma. It took me 2 months to write this review, but better late than never!! I found Queen's Bridal through the owner of Unify Event Center. I Love this event center because of the ceilings drop. When I met Vicky, I feel very at ease in sharing with her what I wanted. There were some hiccups a long the way, however the end results were AMAZING and that's all that matters. I told Vicky that I didn't know Exactly what I want, I just know that I want it to look Fancy and that I Love crystal/ sparkly things. She was very patience with me and listen to my needs. When I show up to the reception I was AMAZED at what Vicky put together, I LOVE everything about it and up until this day my guests still give us compliments that it was 1 of the Most Beautiful wedding they have ever been to. We had so much Fun at the food tasting and I Enjoy the many texts back & forth with Vicky sharing with her my ideas. She is a Nice person who will try to work with you to make your wedding day the Most special day in your Life. The only suggestion I would have is that I wish Vicky would follow up with me more, instead of waiting for me to contact her. She showed me pictures of flowers and various decor to figure out what my style and vision was and it worked out perfectly! She kept me informed of the timeline, spoke to all vendors and handled vendor questions, kept me on time and even packed stuff up for us at the end of the night. Great service! I'm so happy that I worked with Vicky. Planning the whole wedding without a coordinator was difficult. With Vicky, she has made it happened for me. I have a vision for my wedding and she was quick entangling her vision with mine. From Flowers to decorations and cake, all my guests loved it. Definitely disappointed. I went here in August (after seeing it on yelp), spent a 1.5 hours looking over photos of designs I couldn't afford ($18k & $12k), then asked for a quote of some simple lighting items I wanted to be incorporated into our wedding. I had also wanted to explore the possibility of renting my dress. After what seemed like an eternity of searching through piles of paper chaos, Vicky said she didn't have any of that info at that moment but would send everything to me by email. A month later, I received an email asking if I had received my quote, explaining technical difficulties and offering to email something back if I hadn't received it. I told her I hadn't and I still to this day haven't heard back. I'm not a big fan of this experience because of disorganization, how I wasted my day off here, and how she continued to show me events 2-3x the cost of the max I could afford (instead of going over what kinds of things she would do for that amount or telling me that they wouldn't do anything for that amount). Sorry, this is a bit long but Vicky= OMG, amazing!! And, boy, does she deserve so much credit! CONCLUSION: Vicky's sweet and assertive, and she gives 110%. I strongly recommend her (obviously, since I wrote a whole essay here). Husband and I are still ridding the high from our wedding, we were so blessed it went as well as it did and we do owe a lot to Vicky for her suggestions on our decor and her service on our wedding day. Especially if you're like me, Vietnamese-American wedding with reception at a Chinese restaurant, and you have a full day going on, book her. She can communicate and connect with anybody, any age, to get what you need done and still be the sweet person she is. BACKGROUND: First wedding of the family. 400 guest from here and Texas, Boston, Massachusetts, and Australia, husband's rich uncle even flew-in first class some Paris by Night Singers (Vietnamese thing) and Houston's best Vietnamese MC. We had Tea Ceremony, Church Ceremony, Portrait Session, and Reception. It started 8am-11pm, very long day. As you can imagine, a lot can go wrong with so much pressure on me. DETAILS: So, you know what the first thing my dad said right after the whole wedding ended? It wasn't anything about me or how beautiful the ceremony was, it was about Vicky and how amazing she is! We already knew she has great taste when it came to decor and flowers (awesome job there too) so we booked her for some of that, but what blew us away even more is that she was a teeerrrific "day of" coordinator! She took care of everything, there were major issues that came unexpectedly, like when we realized we forgot the flower girl's flowers and also the wedding rings (moments before the ceremony was about to begin), course she saved the day, and nobody even knew about it. When we got to the reception, she was the go-to girl for my family, whatever issues we had with food, seating, she was quick to take care of it. My parents, myself, and in-laws didn't have to stress cause we just have to tell her and she dealt with the restaurant staff for us. She even got us credit back for a whole table because she made sure all the seats where filled (we were too busy to even notice, but she did and got the credit for us). I came here today to check out their wedding packages. I am so glad I did because they have so many dresses to choose from and they are REALLY new, clean and classy. I went to several bridal stores and the dresses they had all looked worn-out or old school. Queen's offer a variety of package deals and the prices are reasonable too. Aside from that, service is good. The girls there are patient, helpful and knowledgable. I ordered the bridal package which includes 2 dresses for me, 1 bridesmaid dress, 2 tuxes for the groom and 1 for the groomsman; a flower package, 2 backdrops and a 4-tier cake. Additional bridesmaid dress and groomsman's tux can be rented for a low price. I will update after my wedding in November to let everyone know how the flowers, cake and backdrops turn out to look like. Vicky did an awesome job on our wedding. We had our reception and ceremony at the Main Hall of Dynasty Cupertino. She did all the draping, chair covers, stage decorations, bar area drapings, LED uplights, photo backdrop, red carpet entrance, etc. When we entered the restaurant, there was a wedding being decorated in the front hall of the Dynasty and it looked alright, but when I entered the main hall, the room was amazing. People could not tell that they were at a chinese restaurant anymore. Everything was laid out beautifully. She was still putting out table linens and checking the swags on the stage backdrop. I was so impressed with the work that she did. She even threw in a few more table linens and candle holders without charging us. The work she did was beautiful and we couldn't be happier. We also rented high-top cocktail tables and table covers for the bar area from her. We met several times before the wedding and described to her what we were looking for. She was very patient with us and never rushed us even though our appointment was going over time. Towards the end we were asking for a couple more additions (candle holders for the cocktail tables) and I was a little disappointed that she was charging for every little thing. Overall though, I think her prices were still pretty reasonable. There was a bit of miscommunication between us when it came to my husband's tuxedo rentals where she quoted us a price then told us later on that pocket squares were an extra charge so we did not end up renting tuxes from her. read more

It's probably one of the lowest price $$ you find in the bay area. She was very easy to work with and patient. She gave us a lot of choices and she also gives good advise. She was very precise on exactly what we wanted for the decorations. She also ordered the cake for us and it came out nicer than we imagined and it was also delicious. She was there on time setting everything up exactly as she said and was the most polite person i have ever met. Before we came to Queen Bridals, we meet with many other wedding décor places. One place said to pay them a flat rate and they will take care of "EVERYTHING". What exactly is everything? How do I know what you will do and won't do? The reason we chose Queen Bridals (Vicky and her hubby Vince) was their invoice setup. It was detailed. Line-by-line items were listed. It might seem too clustered at first, but you need to take time to absorb it. Weddings have hundreds of moving parts and if one item is overlooked, it could spell a disaster. You also need to realize that Vicky has only hours to setup your venue. So she needs to account for every chair and napkin. Some Yelp reviewers have commented that she is charging for every little thing. Well that is true, but it also states that she is through and needs to create a "WAR PLAN" for the day. I made the final decision to hire her because I was paying for "her eyes" at the venue. I saw that she has an eye for this stuff and she kept with the current trends. It was great seeing her at my venue doing the finishing touches. I commissioned Queen Bridals to decorate my venue. This included pipe and drape, chair covers, sweetheart table, check-in table, photo back group, cake table, white dance floor, flowers for the church, flowers for the restaurant, the cake, and other things I may have forgotten. I wanted Vicky to make ALL of these things have synergy. In other words, they needed to look like they belong together. It's sad to see people hire a décor and then do a paper walkway on their own or do the cake table on their own. It doesn't match because it's two different designers at work! The Bride and Groom are solely responsible for everything that happens at a wedding, so they need to divide the responsibilities up into competent teams. We were careful not to assign too much responsibility to one specific vendor. Thus, Vicky handled the décor of the Church and the Restaurant. She has great ideas and ways to save money by re-using the perishable flowers in any way possible. Vicky was my first stop (8am) on my wedding day. She was ready for me when I got there. Only a few labels needed to be made and only a few minutes were lost. She made the church beautiful and the venue as well. I had many compliments on both places! I was very happy. We had a wedding invitation made with a flower theme and we told her to follow that style and she did. I think the discovery process for your wedding is important and it is a team effort on both sides (you + your vendor). The vendor knows what to do, but often the Bride and Groom are clueless on the end results. So make an appointment with Vicky and spend the time needed to get things in line. You should make at least two sessions. One session to get to know her and talk about the budget and what you want. Then another session later on to make significant or little changes. I had success with Queen Bridals and I hope you do too! Thank you for reading this long review. Vicky and Vince are easy to work with and hard working. They understand Catholic and Vietnamese traditions. They will have no trouble with simpler American style weddings. It was absolutely stunning and my guests were definitely impressed! She is very sweet and reasonable person. She knew exactly what I wanted and delivered more than what I expected. She is very detailed and made sure to loop me in with every step of the way. I had wanted peonies for my wedding, but it was completely out of season. I called in early March 2010 to inquire about renting a tent. The girl on the line said someone would get back to me in a few hours to let me know how much it would cost. That person never did. I called again the following day and the same girl once again said someone would get back to me in a few hours to give me a quote. Guess what? I never got a call. I called TODAY and a guy picked up. He asked me where my wedding was taken place at and I told him the location. He said, "Oh. We don't like to do tenting there. It's too much of a hassle." His tone was not very nice, mind you. I kindly thank him and hung up. I hate writing bad reviews (and I never do) but this place definitely warrants it. They are unprofessional and not willing to help at all. With this attitude, I have a hard time thinking that they would accommodate the client or try to go above and beyond expectations. No thanks. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more
