We worked with Kim for the florals for a large private event, and everything turned out absolutely beautiful! She created custom arrangements for our guest dining tables as well as the florals for a large photo tribute wall, and everything coordinated perfectly. The colors were vibrant and matched our event palette beautifully and the arrangements were thoughtfully designed. The florals added so much color and warmth to the space, and we received many compliments from our guests throughout the event. Kim was wonderful to work with, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful, thoughtfully designed florals for any special event! read more

Working with Kim for our wedding was so fantastic! She understood our vision flawlessly and made beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, and reception/ceremony decor that all came together perfectly. Her work really enhanced the beauty of our space, and she herself was such a kind, warm person! She also helped ensure a piece of my mother's wedding dress was part of my bridal bouquet and was super responsive to all other requests. Thank you, Kim! read more

Kim is wonderful and very talented. Initially, there was a little bit of miscommunication about flowers that I had wanted for my wedding. However, without me asking her to, Kim went out of her way to drive all the way to SF to get some fresh beautiful poppies to include in a redo of my bridal bouquet the day of the wedding, even though her schedule is pretty booked. The flowers so looked fresh and vibrant. She went above and beyond, and I really appreciated that. read more

It is unfortunate that I am sharing a somewhat negative review, but I think it is warranted given how I felt I was treated as a customer...after the fact. I ordered a bouquet of flowers to surprise my wife for our 30-year wedding anniversary. The arrangement was beautiful but by the next day pedals starting falling off the flowers. I asked Kim if she could provide replacement for the flowers that had pedals falling off. This was her response: Happy to refund you for the flower that's wilted to your daughter's Venmo. I don't do replacements. However, I take pride in knowing that my quality of work is always at the highest standard. I'm sorry if your not satisfied with the freshness of the flowers. Upon delivery they were accepted by you. But, flowers are organic and once delivered, it is out of our hands with what happens to them and the environment in which they are kept at. First of all, the flowers were not accepted by me because I was running an errand when it was delivered. Secondly, "the environment" in which we place bouquet of flowers is always on top of our kitchen table. I let her know that when I purchase flowers from other places, even like Safeway or Costco, none of the flowers wilt within the first week...which is why my wife and I were so surprised to see pedals on the table the next day. It felt as if she were blaming us for the wilted flowers instead of taking responsibility that maybe she did not use the most freshest assortment. I paid over $100 for the bouquet and she refunded me $4.6. I am not sure how she came up with that figure, but it certainly felt like a disrespectful gesture and not a very satisfying customer experience. read more

Kim was the best! She created the most beautiful arrangement for Mother's Day and was happy to work around my parents' delivery schedule. She took my note about my mom's favorite color and added some tasteful purples in the bouquet. Really loved how it came out and it helped make the day feel extra special. read more

My flowers were absolutely breathtaking! Flowers were something that were important to me but we also needed to make sure that they worked on the budget we had. Kim was great at working with us and our budget. The start was a bit rough as she was not great at responding to messages and took ages to get back to us in the beginning. But I knew I liked her work and her prices so I stuck it out. And I am so glad I did. On the wedding day, my first wow moment was when the bride and bridesmaid bouquets were delivered, I fell in LOVE with my bouquet. It was absolutely lovely and more than what I dreamed it could be! I was just so happy whenever I held it or looked at it! The colors, the flower choices and the arrangement were all spot on and magical. The second wow was our church flowers, Kim did a marvelous job on the large arrangements at the altar. And the third wow was at our garden reception. I was BLOWN AWAY at how beautiful the flowers were! Better than I dreamed they would be, it make me so happy to see the beautiful flowers and colors, it was like looking out on a magical garden which was exactly the vibe I was going for for our wedding! Our guests talked for days about how beautiful everything looked and the flowers made up a large part of that! read more

I simply couldn't trust anyone else for my wedding flowers. She did flowers for the entire wedding. Bridal and bridesmaid bouquets. Bouts for the boys and flowers for the tables and the ceremony arch. Everything was dreamy and perfect. Her pricing is worth it. They were professional and put me at ease. With all the things to worry about for weddings. Florals was not one of them. I let her have free reign on design. I only requested mostly white flowers to keep it clean and simple. I would definitely recommend anytime to anyone. I would have to add be kind to your florist they work hard! It's not easy working with organic products. I'm thoroughly impressed read more

Kim is extremely talented! She is very easy to work with and very professional. My husband and I got married on April 30, 2022. She made our wedding floral vision come to life! She worked with me to find the right floral colors to match my vision and my bridesmaid dress colors. We also wanted to use our own neon sign and lanterns. Kim made sure to incorporate these items well so that everything matched our theme. She is very resourceful and helpful. We highly recommend her! read more

My wife and I got married last April, and Kim was the most wonderful florist we could have ever asked for. She did such an amazing job of incorporating our ideas and created such beautiful work! She stayed within our budget, and her prices are very reasonable for the quality of work and time and effort she puts into making ever detail perfect. We had a lot of things we wanted to try to do ourselves, and not only was she accommodating and willing to work with us, she also shared so much valuable insight that ended up being so helpful. And I just want to say: when you're putting on a big production like a wedding where a million things can go wrong- there is no one better to have in your corner! We wanted a hexagon arch with a eucalyptus garland but couldn't afford to buy an arch, so my father-in-law and I built one together, which seemed like a nice idea in theory. Well, the day of the wedding there were 40MPH winds and the arch collapsed right before the ceremony was about to start! Kim jumped in to help save the day! So glad she was there to help get it back up and to hide any defects with the garland placement. Not to mention, we really put the durability of all our floral arrangements and garlands to the test! I'm happy to report they all made it through the day with no issues despite a very blustery day! Thankfully Kim had warned us about this possible issue and was prepared. She went way above on beyond in helping us pull everything off! She was so flexible and patient with us throughout the planning process! I can't say enough about how great she was to work with. Thank you so much Kim for being a part of our wedding! You're the best! Here's a few pictures from our wedding, it only captures a glimpse of how gorgeous everything came out, but you get the idea. As a wedding photographer I've worked with Kim on multiple shoots/weddings and she always did amazing work, so when it came to my own wedding, there was no doubt I'd hire her. We had the most amazing flowers at our wedding. My real only guideline was "I like shades of pink and gold/sparkles" and boy did she over-deliver! Nearly everyone at my wedding commented at how amazing out flowers were. She did such an amazing job bringing variety to the table settings. My bridesmaids loved their bouquets. I absolutely LOVED my bouquet. She even put together a beautiful, modern arch that we used for our ceremony altar and decoration for our reception. She was even kind enough to decorate our guestbook, escort card and cake tables with flowers. She was AMAZING. Not only is she incredibly talented and knows how to style/design floral pieces but she's so creative. I was completely blown away by her work. I trusted her completely with my flowers and it paid off. She is my absolute favorite florist. HIRE HER. read more

I happened to be at a wedding where I was in love with the wedding flora. Lo and behold, I was seated right next to the florist who was Kim, the talent behind Flowerstory! Kim was so friendly that we instantly clicked. Our first experience with Flowerstory was for our engagement session. She was very responsive and always quick to respond. I wanted a flower crown and she provided various options so that we could have something that worked for us and our budget. We discussed themes and the look that I wanted and she made me an epic ombre flower crown that was perfect for the shoot. She went above and beyond in delivering additional props and flowers (that I didn't even ask for) to help complete the look for our theme. Impressive and much appreciated! Our most recent experience with Flowerstory was for our wedding. Although we already hired another florist for our reception, we then hired Kim to decorate an existing structure with draping and create a flower arch under where we would utter our vows during the ceremony. Then she moved the floral arch and broke it down into pieces to decorate our sweetheart table and various places inside during the reception. Again, she discussed the look that we wanted and brought it to life. This is her gift - she can bring what you envision to life and make it even better! She comes highly recommended! Book her if you can! read more

Kim is truly talented! I've known Kim since high school, but I promise, I am not biased. She is honestly one of the best. I'm so happy that I hired her as our florist for both our engagement party and wedding. Through all of the wedding chaos, Kim remained a calm and supportive force--she met with me to go over my vision and was patient with me as that vision changed several times. My wedding planner fell sick during my mock table set-up and Kim jumped in and helped me pick out linens and tableware. She even met and coordinated with my calligraphy artist to build our seating chart. I wanted a specific fabric for my mandap (Indian ceremony arc) and Kim went and found it. She sincerely goes above and beyond and does anything she can to make your day extra special. And she does it with an absolutely cheery attitude. And the flowers! They are just gorgeous! She really knows how to artfully craft the most beautiful arrangements. All of my guests loved the flowers and were excited to take some home. Kim is professional, artistic, creative, a great listener, and incredibly sweet. You should hire her if you can. Whatever you throw at her, she will accomplish. read more

Kim is a very talented florist and creates really beautiful works of art. She was recommended to us by our photographer who had a really good experience working with her for his wedding. I got quotes from several florists before deciding to go with her because I liked her work and her pricing was fair. She has a minimum but she was willing to be flexible if I didn't meet it. I ended up exceeding it since I realized in the planning process that the additional cost to have her help with items like candles rentals was worth it. Trust me, the wedding day is jam packed and you don't want to have to worry about any items you can get help with. The one thing I think could be improved is the communication. I had challenges getting timely responses in email though she was better with text. Day of wedding we had some communication gaps around arrival and delivery of items. We had expected getting detail flowers for the getting ready shots but they didn't arrive until after those photos were already taken and we noticed the boutonnières were missing at the first look so they were unfortunately missed in the getting ready shots. I'm not sure how that happened but it's one of those things it's good to make sure you, your florist, and day of coordinator are on the same page about and that someone (not you) is making sure all of the items are where they need to be when they need to be. That being said, those were small things considering all of the things that were happening that day. Kim and her assistant were both hard at work assembling the florals for our pergola and she was kind enough to stick around and help set up the cake topper and bring in the pergola florals to our head table which was an unexpected beautiful enhancement. I absolutely loved the succulent centerpieces and bouquets she did for us, really the quality and aesthetic are simply beautiful. Even days after the wedding I kept the pergola florals and detail flowers because they were too beautiful to just throw away and they brought back many wonderful memories of the day. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Kim for our wedding and she was one of the best vendors we chose. She went through everything with us carefully in our first meeting at Peet's coffee and really impressed us with her creativity, attention to detail and asking questions that helped her understand what we wanted. If you have a vision for what you want your flowers to look like, all you have to do is describe it to Kim and she'll take care of everything else. She had handcrafted an amazing plan for our special day. She was super attentive to our needs and was a joy to work with. We planned our wedding in the Bay Area remotely from New York and things couldn't have been easier communicating with her. On top of all that, Kim and her team do their best to source the freshest and local flowers. She really knows her stuff and we cannot recommend her more! read more

Kim handled the flowers for our wedding last May and we were amazed by the stunning floral arrangements and bouquets. Kim was one of our favorite vendors - so warm and easy to work with. She has an artistic eye so the day of results are amazing. She really listens and executes flawlessly. She sent us a detailed list/proposal which included the types of flowers, associated costs (all within y(our) budget), and a description of each arrangement/bouquet, which gave us a very good sense of what to expect. So many of our guests asked us who/where our flowers were from. She will work within your budget, which was also refreshing. We loved working with her. Thanks for the gorgeous flowers! read more

What a gem... Kim from Flowerstory is absolutely AH-MAZING. I can't thank her enough for making my flower dream a reality on my wedding day this past July. Let's start off with her stellar personality and customer service by being always available via emails/texts/calls/meet ups (this is HUGE as most vendors have very slow response times) and her ability to find beauty in the unseen. I asked for many types of flowers that I knew was out of season, yet she made it happen. I asked for her to work with my budget and she made it happen and never at the cost of my vision. In my opinion, that's a true artist and why she's able to find beauty in what most people might naturally overlook. If you're looking for a florist for your wedding day or for a flower workshop for you and your girlfriends, snag her because she really is that great to work with and her floral design speaks for itself. read more

If you're looking for a knowledgable, creative, friendly, and detailed oriented florist, definitely choose Flowerstory. I've been waiting for Kim to finally go on yelp so I can give her a review. I'm an event designer/planner in the bay area and she is definitely one of my go to florists when it comes to referring clients for florals. She always makes the concepts that I have for her come to life and make it 100x better then what I picture it in my mind. Whether it's working with a client or a photo shoot, she always goes above and beyond what I expect. Kim has an incredible eye for detail when it comes to floral design and event design in general. I've had the privilege to work with her behind the scenes many times and I'm always amazed at the amount of knowledge she has for florals. Kim is very professional, detailed, creative, friendly, and does her best to accommodate the needs of her clients. Whether you have a higher end wedding or lower budget, Kim will do what she can to take your ideas and make it come to reality. I was referred to Kim by my wedding coordinator Karen Pan of New Sunrise Events. From the start Kim was highly professional, prompt in correspondence and extremely kind. My words for describing what I wanted for flowers were "pinky, ivory, vintagey, romantic!" When we met in person to discuss my wedding inspiration I was so happy to find that Kim understood what I wanted right away and was able to articulate it in a way that made me SO pleased and inspired. Boy, did she take my words and run with them. I, along with ALL my guests, were completely blown away by the beauty, fragrance and impeccable styling of the flowers throughout our ceremony and reception. What's more, is Kim was able to make all my dreams come true within the modest budget that I requested. I could not be more please with her services and will be strongly recommending Flowerstory to everyone that I know. I could not be happier with all that she did for me!!! Thanks, Kim! read more
