Hector did a fantastic job with our flowers, and kept us within our budget (which was very low). We hired him for our wedding at San Jose Country Club (Hector does all the flower arrangements for SJCC as a client, anyway, so I figured he knew the lay of the land well to handle the flowers for our wedding). He made really good recommendations (ex: we contemplated having an arch for our ceremony, and he suggested we do two pillars with flowers instead--it looked wonderful, and the flowers were reused for our reception). We kept things simple--colorful flowers, center pieces in wine boxes, etc., and Hector made it look beautiful. I was adamant that chrysanthemums and carnations be focal points of the arrangements and bouquets (sentimental value), and he incorporated both tastefully and beautifully. I highly recommend Hector for your wedding flower needs. I consider myself a pretty low key bride, and I was pretty hands off about the flowers, aside from telling him my vision and sending a few photos. The flowers were a complete surprise to me on the day of the wedding, and I loved them. Hector sometimes takes a little bit of time to get back to you (for you brides who want an answer, like, yesterday about things), but overall my experience with him was wonderful. read more

I am recently married and Hector was my florist for my wedding. He did an exceptional job! I ordered 10 centerpieces and 8 boutonnieres and 8 bridesmaids bouquet's. His staff was on time and my flowers were amazing. I was soooooooooooo impressed by his professionalism and his craftsmanship. I found him at a bridal show last year and I was truly overwhelmed by his unique designs! I even referred him to a friend who was also getting married last year. She also was very impressed and truly satisfied by Hectors work. read more

Unique Touch Flowers - Florists Near Me - San Jose, California

Using Unique Touch Flowers as my vendor was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I was referred to Hector through a friend, and he was sweet and sincere from day 1. My wedding package included centerpieces with a different vendor, and the quoted me a semi-outrageous price for the bouquets. I decided to call Hector to see if he could give me a better deal. Not only did he give me a better deal, but I honestly think he did a better flower arrangement as well. He offered us a lot of options and ideas that the other vendor didn't give us. In the end, we told him our must haves were garden roses. Everything else we let him decide. We also specified on colors. We did pastel peach/pinks. Make sure to be specific with Hector about how much of each color you want so that Hector can properly put together your bouquet. We loved him so much that when we did our wedding re-shoot photos, we asked him to put together another bridal bouquet and boutineer for us and it turned out great as expected. Definitely call up Hector for your floral needs! He will work with your budget as long as you are reasonable with him. He will be an effective communicator, and just great to work with in general! read more

I am currently working with Hector for my wedding in two weeks. I was going to wait until after the wedding to write my review, but I honestly could not wait. Hector has been such a pleasure to work with. He is always on time to all of our meetings and responds in a timely manner to all of my emails. Most importantly he was patient with me as I had a hard time deciding on what flowers I wanted. He was able to keep me on track and within my budget during the planning process. I am recommending Unique Touch Flowers to all of my friends! Out of all the vendors that I worked with, Hector has been by far my favorite! read more

We were introduced to Hector by a friend who also had her wedding flowers done by Hector. And we are so glad she did! When we were wedding planning, the flowers/centerpieces were a huge ordeal because we were going to have a huge wedding. When we met Hector, he was amazing and so easy to work with. We needed 52 centerpieces for our wedding and he didn't even flinch. Ok, maybe he flinched a bit, but he got it done! All the while helping us stay within our budget. He will work with your budget and your vision, to get you a great balance of what you need/can afford/want. He made every decision and every step of the process extremely easy. Even when I called him a couple weeks before the wedding and asked if he could also make my bridal bouquet, he said, "no problem! don't worry about it!" That's all you could ask for when wedding planning. My husband and I would recommend Hector over and over again, to all of our friends, and definitely to all you yelpers! If you want an affordable, customizable option, Hector is definitely your guy. read more

Unique Touch Flowers - A tree Hecor designed for my booth at the Bridal Extravaganza - Florists Near Me - San Jose, California

Hector is AMAZING! He is really easy going, good at communication, and the best price around. He took all my ideas and made my flowers for the wedding perfect. Just breath taking. We met with him at his house, and after our first and only meeting he put me at ease. I walked like Wow, he's really confident. And when he made my Mother in law a sample of one of the centerpieces...I just died. It was exactly what I wanted. Hector also does a lot of the flower arrangements at the San jose Country Club where my in laws are members and we eat often for dinner, and they are always beautiful. I will reccomend Hector to everyone and anyone getting married or need flowers for a special occasion. Thank you Hector from the bottom of my heart for evrything you did to make the flowers for my wedding gorgeous and everything I wanted! read more

Hector did amazing flowers for my wedding! As it was in winter, we were limited in what flowers we could use within our budget. Hector blew us away with his ideas! He made the most gorgeous bouquet I have ever seen out of hydrangeas and, believe it or not, intricately folded lettuce. He also was great at working with my extremely limited budget, and did a great series of corsages and boutonnieres as well. Don't be fooled by the kind of not-so-professional residential shop front he works out of! Hector does top notch quality for the best prices I've seen in the bay area! I could not be happier. read more

I cannot say enough about the amazing work that Hector did for our wedding! He came at the recommendation of the wedding coordinator at the San Jose Country Club, and our expectations were exceeded! Hector was friendly and helpful from the start, and was able to design and build beautiful pieces with very little direction from me. He knew what questions to ask and was able to take my fragmented ideas and turn them into elegant floral arrangements that perfectly matched our décor. The flowers were extremely fresh and lasted all weekend! He also helped us transport flowers from our ceremony venue to our reception venue, and did so seamlessly. We received so many compliments on the beautiful flowers and guests eagerly took the pieces home with them. Hector is professional, friendly, kind, and reasonably priced! I would absolutely recommend his work! read more

Hector exceptional customer services and talent is the reason why I am taking the time and finally gave in to write my first ever Yelp review for him. Keeping in mind, this was for the product he made for me back in Spring 2013. Hector custom made my corsage and boutonniere for my Senior Prom & to this day, I can look back and admired how BEAUTIFUL my corsage was!!! First of all - I got my prom dress online... so I can only based my corsage's color on what the dress color was described online. The dress was a pinkish-watermelon hue, in fact, the website describe the dress color as watermelon pink kid you not. And so when I emailed Hector a month before prom about what my vision was with an online picture of the dress, he replied almost instantaneously with a "Yes, can do!" attitude. I told Hector how big & dramatic I wanted my corsage to stand out and what kind of flower would be on my date's boutonniere. I literally told him, "Make it as dramatic and outstanding as you possibly can". I also included pictures in our emails about with kind of flowers I want since I don't know much name, and I also included the expected expectation that "the corsage might not match the dress" due to the dress being online and not delivered until 2 days before prom. He gave me price for the matching corsage and boutonniere and a time to pick it up. Keep in mind, I have to trust him and he have to trust me completely because through out our communications - I did not meet him face to face until the day of my prom to pick up the items. On that day of, he gave me call to remind me of my pick up time. And when I finally met up with him and saw the finished product, I WAS FLOORED. IT. WAS. EVERYTHING THAT I WANTED. He even took both of them out of the box to show it to me, he was so proud of his work! I received non-stop compliments after compliments about my corsage at Prom and I referred everyone to Hector! He is a lifesaver, a talented artists, a great person overall. His attention to details and customer services are superb. And I'm just going to leave it at that. He is a one-man show, I'll let his talent speak for itself. Give him a call (or in my case, an email) and see for yourself! read more

It hurts me to say this but this could've easily been 5*. However, with the very slow response times via email and a huge snafu on our wedding day, this doesn't deserve more than 2*. We had ordered our car for the wedding to be decorated with flowers. As soon as I drove it onto the local route at 25 MPH, the flowers in the front of the car came loose and flew off the hood. The flowers in the front were not tied down securely and Hector was not available ALL day to help put the flowers back and ensure that it would not fly off. The flowers and design were beautiful, and it was pleasant to speak to Hector when he was around to talk in person, but with this huge embarrassment, I can't recommend him to friends especially for important events. read more

I can't say enough great things about Hector!!! He was easily the best value for the money we spent on our wedding. His arrangements are gorgeous and he's very willing to roll with the punches. Our venue put him through a few hoops and he was always willing to work with them to make us happy. I'm delighted with the way all of our various floral arrangements turned out. Hector was amazing! My wedding coordinator (Nicole Audrey Events) connected me with him and I'm so glad that she did. He was so kind and has such a good vision. He even worked with me to get a sample centerpiece several months before my wedding which was beautiful and I was excited to see what he had in store for the entire event! We had centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, flower ball (for the flower girls), and a flower crown for myself. When he asked what I wanted the flower crown to look like, I drew him a picture and it turned out exactly how I drew it. My hair stylist even said it was the best flower crown she's seen because it fit my ensemble so well. I would highly recommend Hector, he was wonderful to work with! read more

Hector was so incredibly sweet to work with. He communicated with us every step of the way during our SF city hall wedding planning for our flowers. Unique Touch Flowers - My bouquet was beautiful! - Florists Near Me - San Jose, California

Hector was my florist for my wedding in early July. I met with 4 other vendors and I'm glad I chose Hector as my florist. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. I gave him lots of pictures of my vision and he executed the flowers exactly to how we wanted. Not only did he do my ceremony flowers and centerpieces, but I also ordered fresh flowers from him for my wedding cake. He delivered them to my baker on time and as she requested. The day of the wedding he delivered the flowers on time and they were beautiful, fresh, and full. In total, I met with him in person about 5 times and each time he was willing to work with my many requests. He is very personable and responds via email and by phone. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Hector is one of the many florists who runs his business out of his home. Although his prices were lower than any of the other three quotes we received for our wedding flowers, his level of communication was unsatisfactory. Hector was very slow in responding to my e-mails and phone calls...not good when you are dealing with a bride!! This caused me anxiety up until my wedding day, wondering if he would follow through with my requests. On my wedding day all of the flowers looked great. However, Hector decorated my reception venue early that day and was supposed to return at 3pm to when the cake was delivered to decorate it with fresh flowers. By 3:45pm he hadn't returned & the cake was still completely bare! A random staff person at our reception site had to decorate it, and it did not look good. Flowers were drooping off of the cake. This could have been prevented if Hector had returned to decorate the cake like he said he would. read more
