Hien is incredible! My husband and I hired Hien to be our flower vendor for our wedding. We shopped around and stumbled upon Hien at Flower & Paper on Yelp. After meeting with previous vendors before and then meeting Hien, we knew that we should work with her. After receiving our estimate, we were sure we weren't going to get a better value. Hien being also Vietnamese was very helpful because she understood all of the things we were asking for. She understood that we needed a ton (about 75) boutonnieres for family members as it is a Vietnamese tradition. She had gone through this process herself, and provided great insight into our planning. Myself not being too familiar with different flowers and what would be available for our August wedding, Hien was able to inform us on everything we needed to know. She answered all of our questions professionally and with great knowledge. Hien was also very flexible when I needed to change or add things to our order. On the day of, she delivered all of the flowers to each house right on time before our morning tea ceremony. She came to the church to set up our altar flowers and to place the flower crowns on our two flower girls. Later we saw her at the reception putting together the final pieces of the decorations. Everything she made looked amazing. Hien was a really great vendor, and we could have not asked for a better person to handle our flowers. I would definitely recommend her. 5 star service by Hien. She knows the wedding industry well and in our case, she was very informative with the Vietnamese traditions as well as Catholic traditions. Hien worked super hard to develop our super difficult church programs that my mom required. My wife and I dont speak much Vietnamese and are not very familiar with the traditions and relied on Hien. My dear husband and I were planning our wedding clear across the country--OHIO, and Hien made the process so easy for us! She worked with our limited budget, and her work is definitely not "cookie cutter." She basically allowed us to custom design our invitation as how we saw fit. We went with 2 sets of invitations, each to accommodate our English and Vietnamese guests. We had TONS of guest compliment us on our invites! We totally LOVE LOVE them! Hien is so sweet and very professional. She was very quick to respond via email or phone... and especially helpful when we were in a time crunch...I loved our invitation so much, I had her do our stationary last minute... table numbers, menus, labels =) She promptly mailed everything out with a quickness!!!! Disclaimer: We didn't end up purchasing our invitations through Hien. Hien is very sweet and met with us (outside of home office) to discuss her fees and show us sample of her designs. While the package structure (all inclusive) and thermo graphed printing (v. digital printing) is very attractive in the midst of high invitation prices, her previous designs seem very cookie-cutter to us. Granted this could very well be at her clients' requests, but to us, her design just appear to be a bit too "stiff" for our taste. My wedding was just this last Saturday; Hien was my florist that I had luckily found nearly last minute (about two months ago.) I was about to go with a super popular florist on yelp; I am so glad I went with flower and paper! Hien is darling, there's something about her that made me feel right away I wanted her as my florist. We talked about flowers, color and style during the consultation. She followed up a day or two later with the quote and summary of what we had discussed. The emails and conversations we had, Hien was super flexible and listened really closely. When I got the sample piece I ordered, I thought it was cute but not exactly what I wanted, but it was literally because I was using the wrong color descriptors/flower names. Hien took note because the arrangements she delivered my wedding day were the most darling and beautiful flowers ever. Tiny details that she had discussed but I couldn't envision were so beautifully rendered in my arrangements. I love paper and flower. Please use Hien! I should note one more thing, I made last minute changes on flowers I wanted, it was such a bridezilla moment, but Hien was so gracious and accommodating and got her suppliers to provide exactly what I wanted the week of my wedding, which coincided with valentines week, worse time for flower availability. I just had my wedding this past week. Hien, owner of Flower and Paper, was my florist. I learned about her through Projectwedding.com and decided to meet with her 4 months before my wedding. I told her about my Hawaiian beach theme. I am not very creative and too busy to do the 'homework'. Hien took the initiative to design the head table, bouquets, ceremony area, and all the little details for me. I reviewed them in the contract, and when I wanted to make changes, she listened and gave excellent feedback. Throughout the 4 months, I requested many things. The month before the wedding, I emailed/called her at least once a week. Hien was really patient with me. thank goodness. During and after the wedding, I got many compliments about the flowers and decoration. My bouquet was gorgeous! (I refuse to throw it away. It is still in my fridge). The decoration of gazebo, sign in table, head table, and guest tables were elegant. My bridesmaids thought I spent a fortune on flowers. Little does she know, I had a limited budget. I was able to get a lot for what I paid for. If you are looking for a good florist with modern and elegant style, you definitely need to contact Hien. I found Hien through my coworker and she is probably one of the best vendors I have for my wedding planning. I wanted a pocket design for our invitation and she sent me some sample work via our first email and we knew that she had exactly what we were looking for. We met up and she took out a whole table full of her previous work for us to get inspiration. I'm not a very creative person to begin with so I was going to pick a design that she did before and just put our info in. She actually told us that even with a similar design, she would not do the same thing twice. She asked us what our interests were and what kind of message we wanted to convey through our invitations. We just threw out a bunch of random information about us and she was able to pick out a few common interests between me and my fiancee and worked them into the invitation! Revision process took a while but she was very thorough and detailed. She sent me an actual proof through mail and I couldn't be anymore happier with it. Prompt delivery and very reasonable pricing. The vendors at Chinatown was about to charge me almost the same thing but Hien's quality is 10 times better. She's doing my program and table # as well so it will match with the invitations. This comes better late than never... We found Hien on Yelp and first thing that caught our eye was that she lived in the same complex as us. Hien was super nice and very accommodating to what we wanted. We both had a general idea of what we wanted but couldn't really put it on paper. Hien was able to help us tremendously in that sense. Hien was great to work with. I ordered thermography invitations from her in 2010 for my sister's cotillion. We got so many compliments, I decided to go through her for my wedding invites this September 2012. Thermography and rhinestones. Her turnaround time was fast, and great quality. She even accomodated us when I asked her for 50 more invites on a whim. She had them ready in less than a week. If your invites have to be in Vietnamese, she's the gal for you. I contacted Hien on Tuesday, October 4th to have some custom invitations made. Today is Wednesday, October 12th and I have my 40 custom made inviations...AND THEY ARE AWESOME. I emailed Hien on the 4th the information and layout I wanted. She quickly sent me a sample via email. We exchanged several emails since I made several changes. I never had to wait more than a few hours to hear back from Hien. She was diligent, professional and efficient. Hien had done flowers for a close friend of mine's wedding which included her head table, bouquets and boutennieres. I was so impressed with the quality and arrangements that I decided to hire her for my wedding in March and boy, did she once again impress. The freshness and lushness of the bouquet arrangements just diminishes any bouquets I've ever seen. She really does not skimp on flowers and the quality is always the best. We met for probably well over 2 hours to discuss all the little details about my wedding and never once did I feel rushed. Sometimes she would even go beyond advice of flowers but other details that sparked great ideas for my wedding. You can definitely tell she's really passionate about what she does. We just got married two days ago and I'm already writing this review because that's just how amazing Hien was. I probably only sent her about 3 inspirational pictures and she went above and beyond my expectations. She was very easy to work with and super professional. She was prompt with responses in emails and provided a very comprehensive invoice with an easy way to sign and pay. She made my dream wedding come true within our budget. I even made additions a few days before the wedding. I wanted to add some flowers in amber beer bottles to the table decor and she was able to accommodate completely. She actually took care of it all herself and I was just so thankful because it was another thing I didn't have to worry about just 3 days before my wedding. One thing that stands out with Hien is that she has exceptional taste. She doesn't need to have the same taste as her clients, but she knows that looks good and can understand what you want with just a few questions and a few inspirational photos. Instantly what appealed to me was how she did both florals and paper products, which would save me alot of headache by not going to two different vendors. My first Yelp review and it goes to Flower and Paper! Hien is amazing. We were scrambling to get our wedding invitations out as the big day was less than 2 months away, and Hien had our custom wedding invitations ready in a week! Yes, a week! She was answering our emails at 1 or 2 in the morning to make sure that we would get our invitations in time. She was also able to put a Vietnamese insert in the invitation for us. She did all this at a very reasonable price. When it came time to printing our table numbers and escort cards, she was just as great.
