Working with Two Perfect Events is always a true collaboration, and that's something we value deeply as a photo and video team. One of the things they do exceptionally well is setting clear expectations for clients, not just from a planning perspective, but with a genuine understanding of how photography and videography work, what we need, and how to support the creative process. They're incredibly attentive to their clients and guests, and to the entire vendor team. That level of awareness and care creates an environment where everyone works together seamlessly, helping one another when needed. That teamwork directly translates to a smoother wedding day, a better experience for the couple, and ultimately stronger images and films. This kind of approach requires experience, intention, and over-the-top communication skills, and Two Perfect Events consistently delivers on all of it. Their attention to detail elevates both the aesthetics and the overall experience, often in ways guests and clients never see but can certainly feel. Behind the scenes, weddings rarely go exactly as planned. What we appreciate most is knowing that Two Perfect Events plans for the unexpected. TPE was highly recommended by a friend and I'm so glad we chose to work with Leah and Yoko! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything stayed on schedule which is almost unheard of. Yoko is such a sweetheart and she's always a professional and calming presence both virtually and in person. I found these pictures of Yoko helping our 5 flower girls/ringbearers do a rehearsal before the ceremony - just an example of all the small details that TPE will take care of so your wedding day is flawless! She also saved us one of each dessert and brought leftover desserts to our suite because she knew I was looking forward to trying all the flavors. We started working with TPE over a year in advance of our wedding (yes, we were overprepared) so Yoko was our sounding board for every decision big and small. TPE provides a wealth of helpful Google docs on everything from vendor questionnaires to budget planners to decor packing lists, and they're extremely organized from start to finish. As a couple who knew nothing about weddings, it was so helpful to have Yoko's guidance - especially for things that people don't usually think about like transportation, hotel block contracts, and photo shot lists. Overall, it was such a joy working with TPE and our wedding wouldn't have happened without them!

Great, adorable venue with catered food, photobooth, open bar

Leah organized our 20-year high school reunion party and I can't recommend her enough! She stays so calm under pressure and respectfully listens to ideas while also adding input on what is best, given her years of expertise. It's the little things that matter, such as sending calendar invites for virtual meetings, that she does automatically that helped us stay organized. I'll never forget how she stayed up until 12:45am to make sure our logo for the photobooth was perfect! There was a lot of back and forth with the designer, but she kept at it until our vision was executed. The company she recommended we cater from was excellent, and we had go die for desserts as well. Book her company now for not just wedding but other events you need help throwing!

Gina was our top pick, and we were beyond relieved when she confirmed she was available for our wedding day! We booked her for the full 15-hour wedding day, and let me tell you, working with Gina was an absolute breeze! She's super organized, fun to be around, and made us feel completely at ease. She shared so many helpful wedding tips, was familiar with both the Catholic church ceremony and the Chinese tea ceremony, and guided us every step of the way. Gina was exactly what we needed to turn our vision into reality. We DIY'd all our decors, and she and her team set everything up perfectly within the tight schedule. The level of support she gave us was unreal - from venue walkthroughs to our weekly/monthly check-ins leading up to the big day. She even went above and beyond to help pack up our decor, assist my mom and entourage, and made sure everything ran smoothly. On top of all that, Gina brought the best energy! Everyone loved her cheerful, positive vibes. She hyped up the crowd, worked seamlessly with our vendors, and just made the whole experience stress-free and fun. She is an amazing Wedding Coordinator, she organized the entire schedule of the wedding, set up all the decorations beforehand, fixed my wedding dress train, poured the champagne and cut the cake pieces for all the guests. She stayed hours afterward helping clean everything up. My family LOVED her and I am honestly indebted to her for how she made my wedding happen. For anyone thinking they don't need a Wedding Day Coordinator because they are having a small wedding, think again, there are so many things that can go wrong. Immediately, I felt a sense of relief because Li quickly created a thorough design proposal for us to follow, communicated with the florist, and gave much guidance, which was something I desperately needed. Li has such great taste and vision. All the weddings she plans turn out beautifully. Li took what I had in mind and made it a reality. The only thing that could have been better was communication during the month of the wedding. Understandably, Li was juggling a lot of things because of all the postponed weddings in 2022. In the end, Li and Michelle (her coworker) pulled through and did an absolutely amazing job on the wedding day. On the day of, Michelle was our main day-of coordinator and she knew exactly what to do. All that needed to happen went seamlessly. If something went wrong, she took care of it and we didn't know about it. Li was also there for part of the day to help! They're both easy to work with and superb at what they do. I have no idea how they manage to plan and execute every wedding with such attention-to-detail and quality work! I just know I will never be a wedding planner. Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True. Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. I highly recommend TDE and the team that we worked with! Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience.

We picked the partial planning & design package but honestly, after working with her, we wished we had just done full service planning. In our first meeting we gave her an idea of what we had envisioned for the day, including a shared pinterest board. From there she made a design deck that really brought our day to life. Alex provided the best vendor recommendations (including for some with whom she had relationships and discounts), thoughtful design ideas, and guidance on the overall flow of the day. She joined us for our food tasting, met with us in person to pick out our rentals, and she coordinated a site visit with the vendors in preparation for the wedding. We didn't think we needed a content creator, but she even provided us with one and it was a great addition to capturing the memories of the day! Throughout the planning process, Alex was easy to reach, responsive, collaborative, open to feedback, and genuinely easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Alex brought everything together seamlessly. She handled every detail behind the scenes, even things that didn't go as planned were handled quickly and professionally. This really allowed us to be fully present and actually enjoy the day. When I walked down the aisle for the first time, I was blown away!! It was BEYOND, BEYOND what we had even hoped for. We were married on a balmy September day in a villa burrowed in a lush Tuscan-foothill town called…read moreLucca, Italy. Even when we booked the place two years in advance, we knew no matter how much we planned--this was going to be an ordeal. In the midst of finishing school and starting careers, we'd need to get our families, friends and many, many heavy bags from California and over the Atlantic and throw a party so good it would be worth all the trouble. All without exploding from stress until, at least, after the "I do's" (with our dog in tow to boot). But, to make things just a little bit more intense, we both wanted our dream "editorial" wedding, something we'd been envisioning and manifesting since we started dating at 16. We were ready to put in the hours and the work to make it happen, but we knew we had to find someone with an inordinate amount of skill, like someone born to be a planner, to chart and direct our efforts to our ever, admittedly, lofty goals (and having competitive pricing wouldn't hurt!). Enter Alex and Earth and Events. From our first Zoom call, Alex calmly led the way--through picking cuisines, to florals, to a photographer, to stationary, to a dj, to desserts, to drapery, to chairs, to make up, to seating charts, etc., etc. (but she went beyond all that too--on quite short notice she took her mom on a vacation and flew to meet us in Italy a year before the wedding to explore the venue, theorize seating and dinner setups, and just to better understand Tuscany). Alex quickly showed that she was the kind of person we could trust with every detail, every idea, and every last action item. And, not that we ever left the wheel--we felt like we pestered her night and day to ask her opinion on a zillion things (and otherwise keep her posted on our every imaginable anxiety). But through it all, she remained calm and centered. Her approach was pragmatic and certain of results. And it makes sense--please take a moment to see the photos attached. Zoom in and notice her command of myriad details and then zoom out to appreciate her creation of scenes. Alex has heaps of creative skill. And when you have this much skill, there really isn't a problem you can't overcome or smooth over in achieving your client's vision. And trust us, when you are planning an international wedding, things come up--and even go wrong--because everything is just a bit closer to the edge. But this isn't a story about things going wrong. This a five star review because Alex not only delivered on the vision, but solved our every problem along the way. And we are so grateful for the memories so vibrant and amorous they'll last a lifetime. So, congratulations, you just found the best planner in Northern California--and its our blessing to call Alex our friend.

Our…read morewedding ended up being perfect but it certainly WOULD NOT have been perfect if it was not for Sophie. Sophie was on-top of everything and put together a very detailed day-of plan. We worked with her to review / update the plan and then make sure all of our vendors had the plan. She also did a detailed review of all of the vendor contracts + she also did a great job of asking us questions we had not thought to ask. Most importantly, Sophie was perfect on the day of the wedding. All members of her team were very professional. They also caught a number of vendor / venue mistakes and corrected them before we ever noticed. Lastly, she was flexible with the schedule. While we were visiting all of our guests, she was not pushy and let us take our time with our guests. I have seen other wedding coordinators start hustling the bride and groom from table to table and never thought that was cool. Sophie let us do our thing (it is our wedding after all) and then told us how we had to adjust the schedule once we were done talking with all of our guests. And I finally made my mind to quit my job, leave all my friends and move to bay area from Chicago. Sophie is very flexible due to my limited schedule. (since that I can only fly to and stay at bay area one day or two each month before the wedding) My parents and parents-in-law can only understand limited English. I cannot imagine how I can have a wedding with all vendors speaking Mandarin so easily without Sophie. And I love all my vendors. The wedding day went flawlessly.
