Michelle was our wedding planner for our intimate, 50 person wedding in the Bay Area - she was very easy to work with throughout the planning process and did a wonderful job tailoring her services / packages to what our needs were. She sourced a number of wonderful vendors for us as well, which were critical to making our day a success! It was the 1-2 months prior to the big day that Michelle was most actively involved in shepharding timelines, providing additional guidance and letting us know when we should start what processes. I am the bride and Michelle was a life saver for me (and my groom). We were on a limited budget and she came highly recommended from a friend. I'm so glad we went with her. It was money well spent. We hired Lavender Crown Events for the day of coordination services with Michelle and an assistant, we hired her because we wanted to make sure our day was taken care of and she had great reviews. First off, I want to say that leading up to the wedding, Michelle was great and made me feel comfortable with her taking over our day. She was organized in communicating with vendors for me, brought a binder with everything printed out during our walk-through and knew her stuff. I want to preface this review by saying that maybe I wasn't as communicative as I should have been leading up to the wedding, but I sort of had expectations from other weddings I had been to. I also want to say that I did not see all of this, so some of it is secondhand information from guests. I am going to start with the piece that still makes me a little upset to think about: 1. Our wedding was to start at 3 pm and when Michelle sent out the timeline to a few months before the wedding, the ceremony was listed at 3:30 pm. I asked her about it and she said she always put 30 minutes after start time on the invitation to give a buffer. I sort of understood that and figured she was the professional. I asked again to make absolutely sure she knew the ceremony was to start at 3 pm. I understand a buffer, but when a buffer is not needed, the ceremony should start at the time that is on the invitation. My sister found Michelle to ask and she told my sister that we would gather at the designated area at 3:15. I was STRESSED because that was 15 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to start. We made our way to the gathering area and 3 pm rolled around and all guests were seated, and all the wedding party was gathered and waiting. My sister found her again and Michelle said she'd meet us at 3:30 and my sister told her she needed to come now. There was zero reason to start 30 minutes late. Our poor guests waiting at the ceremony for 30 minutes! I spent so much time and effort planning so that we would have ample time at cocktail hour with our guests and we were stripped of that. 2. I did not see Michelle basically my entire wedding day, except for processional line up. I thought she would be following us or checking to make sure the timeline was followed and we were taken care of. 3. I do not know where she or her assistant was when we were taking photos, and our photographers needed help gathering people. Again, I didn't specify this with her before the wedding, but I figured it was something that would occur. A guest was the one who was telling the DJ what to announce to get people over to the photo area. We lost even more time during cocktail hour because of this. 4. 15 minutes before we had to line up for the ceremony, our bartender came to find me and asked where the cups were, I don't think he could find Michelle. We were supposed to have 2 glasses per place setting, which I think Michelle hadn't done yet. My sister said, this is what she was still doing 15 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to have started. 5. She told the DJ to announce that a shuttle would be leaving over an hour before the reception was to end. The shuttle had just come back to wait before pick-up. My wedding, which I had planned for months and paid a lot of money for, was being announced as over way too early. A couple of my bridesmaids found her and asked her not to announce yet and they told me that she asked THEM to go tell the DJ! That is not anyone's job but hers or her assistants in my opinion. 6. Our dessert bar vendor came and found me asking where Michelle was when the time had come to set up her table. Michelle was helping my Father with something, which I did ask her to do, but I think it should have been done before or after the dessert bar was set up. Our dessert vendor was my cousin and I saw a lot of my family helping her place her desserts. I felt terribly that my relatives had to do all of this when they should have been enjoying the wedding. read more

Michelle was the most amazing wedding planner I could have asked for! My husband and I were married in 2020 during Covid. We had to postpone the wedding and change the location from California to Montana. Michelle offered to continue with the wedding planning and she even came to Montana for day-of coordination! She was with us every step of the way making the planning so much easier. She sent us weekly updates so that we would not be overwhelmed with daily details. She was always available to chat. We had a beautiful wedding and could not have done it without Michelle. She exceeded our expectations and great value as well, worth every penny. I will make a long story short and start off by saying, you need to hire Michelle for your event! I planned most of my wedding myself but I needed a day-of coordinator to ensure my vision would be executed flawlessly. Also, I was planning my wedding from out of town and was not confident that my venue would do everything as directed, so having a coordinator oversee tasks was extremely helpful. Michelle was on top of it the entire day; she came early and stayed late, handled the decoration setup and cleanup, and most importantly made sure we stuck to the timeline perfectly. She also oversaw our wedding rehearsal the day prior to the wedding and coordinated it beautifully. There were hiccups on the wedding day that I knew nothing about thanks to Michelle - our caterer was late for cocktail hour and Michelle personally went to the store to secure and plate hors d'oeuvres prior to our guest's arrival. Thanks to Michelle our wedding day went smoothly and perfectly! read more
