Immediately, I felt a sense of relief because Li quickly created a thorough design proposal for us to follow, communicated with the florist, and gave much guidance, which was something I desperately needed. Li has such great taste and vision. All the weddings she plans turn out beautifully. Li took what I had in mind and made it a reality. The only thing that could have been better was communication during the month of the wedding. Understandably, Li was juggling a lot of things because of all the postponed weddings in 2022. In the end, Li and Michelle (her coworker) pulled through and did an absolutely amazing job on the wedding day. Her powerpoint deck is great, it clearly shows the event vibe and the cost for every single thing, no matter how big or small. We didn't feel overcharged for anything, and she didn't try to sneak in extra costs (like I've heard of other decor vendors doing!) - we agreed on a price for things and a budget, and she stuck to it. In fact, she doesn't deposit the check until after the wedding and we've given her confirmation that everything went as expected. As for her personality, we found her very easy to talk to and work with, and overall just super friendly. She works hard, and she goes above and beyond for a couple, like coming to our house to pick up things and return things. Given we had a…read moretight budget, Manya was super accommodating with my needs and thought of creative ways to make our decor affordable but also beautiful. I was able to DIY certain pieces and they were super helpful with giving me recommendations on what would look nice as a DIY piece with the rest of the decor and then made sure to set it up properly the day of the wedding. A few weeks before the wedding Manya informed me that the Urlis that I had rented were fully damaged and she was not sure if she would be able to provide another one. But within 24 hours, she guaranteed that she would get the fully remade at her own cost and would make sure they were ready for my event. She went above and beyond for me and did everything she could to limit the amount of stress on me as we got closer to the events. Not a lot of vendors go out of their way to use their team to help with other aspects of the wedding. Her whole team was super helpful and assisted with coordinating with the venue and they took on all the work to flip the venue from wedding to reception. All the furniture that was brought to the venue was not only decorated by Manya's team but they also set up all the furniture themselves. I had a blast working with Vanessa during the events, she is really there to make sure that everything looks beautifully. She understood what I was looking for the events and completely got the aesthetic I was going for. The team that was there to set up was so accommodating and I could really tell they were there to make sure we were happy with their execution and delivery. Their work is truly remarkable and A LOT of hard work. These people worked tirelessly to give us everything we need on our big day, WHILE still being the most humble and friendly people to work with. Caveat: We didn't use Schumann's for our wedding. I'm only basing this review on our tasting…read more Schumann's gave us a big list of dishes on various sample menus to choose from before the tasting. We had tried some of their food before at a Brazilian Room bridal fair like onion puffs, and thought they were good but not amazing (GBNA), and wanted to try some new stuff. They served us many of the apps we suggested as well as the onion puffs. At first I was disappointed to seem the ol' onion puffs, but then I realized why they push them so much. They were by far the best appetizer. That's when I realized - there's a reason caterers push certain dishes. Schumann's let us try several appetizers. The curried chicken triangles had too much puffed pastry. The chicken satay was served cold, and overlooking the fact that the meat was still only okay, not nearly as good as what you could get in a restaurant. The accompanying dipping sauce was terrible and tasted like peanut butter instead of a peanut sauce. (We had tried the chicken satay at Ann Walker Catering two weeks before and this paled by comparison). The bruschetta suffered from out of season tomatoes, so as a result it was hard to judge. (But really they shouldn't have served it to us.) The appetizers we liked the most were the curried carrot soup shots. They were GBNA, but we thought they would be fun to serve at the reception. The boyfriend liked the ahi tuna on crostini, but I thought it was only fair to middling. The mushrooms stuffed with pine nuts and pesto were my favorite. And of course the onion puffs shined after the poor showing of the satay, chicken curry triangles, and bruschetta. The best dish we tried by far was the spring greens with candied pecans and pears. It was one of the best salads I've ever had. Even the boyfriend who isn't a big salad fan and doesn't like salad dressing, liked the salad and dressing. The caprese salad of tomato, fresh mozarella, and lettuce was only okay. Again, the tomatoes were out of season, and I don't think there was any basil to punch up the flavors. We also tried sides of asparagus spears, saffron risotto, and broccoli with pinenuts. Of these, the asparagus spears were the only ones worthy of continuing on to our potential wedding menu. The entrees were unimpressive. The seabass with fruit salsa and chicken in a mushroom wine sauce both tasted like bad hotel food. While tasting the food, one word kept popping into my head: "amateurish." That's how I felt about many of the dishes - especially the unfortunate appetizers. And I wanted a caterer where I felt I would pay for their food if they had a restaurant. I did not feel this way about Schumann's. The brothers Schumann are super nice. The tasting is in their office which is super cluttered with books and papers on every piece of furniture. They offer some of the lowest prices for catering around. We're super into food and dining out, so we weren't as impressed with the food, but for a bride who's trying to save a buck this is a good option. And I've seen many good reviews for them online.

We do not have to pay for chinaware and forks, no corkage fee, we provide the drinks, he provides the bar tender, no cake cutting fee and we pay the servers, linens and the food. Our event is not as simple as any other wedding. We had to add ethnic food to our menu, and Al is very flexible with it. As the event comes close, we have to cut some of our expenses and Al does not really mind us doing this. 2 weeks before the wedding, we met at the hall where I will have my ceremony and reception. We had a very stict time guideline and we will need the servers to convert the hall from ceremony to reception, while taking care of the hors'd erves and serving the guest. We almost thought Al will not agree to the time frame we provided him, but to our surprise he said it is difficult but is possible. He is flexible and is willing to work with us every single time. He let us be in charge of our own wedding, and he did the best that he can to provide us with a very good service. We asked for a tasting, and we love the food that was served to us esp. that wrapped artichoke hearts. Al is very warm and easy to work with. With our budget, I think we got a steal.. Food, service and the touch of class he provided is very much appreciated.
