Sajid fixed the 'gajra' floral hairpiece in my (bride) hair before the ceremony and stayed with me during the baraat and up until I walked down the aisle. He even impressively draped my wedding reception saree for me! We could fully trust that the day was in capable hands once we passed the baton to her team to manage our prior months' worth of planning. Mita was amazing to work with for our wedding in April this year. We took the month of coordination option and she was great. Even before the month of, I had trouble connecting with our makeup artist who wasn't replying for the trial set up despite being already booked. Mita stepped in and reached out to her, following up several times and saving us a lot of trouble. During the week before wedding, we learned that it would rain and we would have to switch our ceremony to being indoors. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude even writing this review because I'm thinking back to my wedding event and what a huge role Mita played in making it possible. It's so easy to envision your perfect dream wedding but to execute it is a whole other task! Mita stood by our side while we navigated our way through planning a wedding in the middle of covid. We had to make a major change of postponing our wedding and she was there for it all, always keeping our spirits up by reminding us that it's still going to be possible. We picked our dream venue in central CA--not a popular destination for Indian weddings. So after picking this venue and putting down our deposit etc. I found Mita to help me plan my wedding. As we began to gather the rest of the vendors, we came to know that planning an Indian wedding in a not so Indian populated city was not going to be easy! With meetings on meetings on meetings we were somehow able to make it possible and it could not have been done without Mita's expertise. She was able to tackle all the hurdles that came our way. It was very easy to communicate with Mita, she was very responsive and easy to talk to via phone/text. It really felt like working with someone that I've known for so long. She also has connections to some great vendors! We also used Mita for her Decor and my family was in awe after seeing how she decorated our venue for Sangeet, wedding and reception. You don't understand how insane I would have gone if Mita hadn't been there on our wedding day. She also joined the wedding planning for the last few months which helped organize us and helped deal with some last minute vendor complications. Pre-wedding planning pros: 1. She helped provide vendors that she trusted and I trusted her network. 2. She tries her best to make herself available and you her focus. 3. Her professionalism and friendliness is extremely valuable. ex. A venue caused some confusion that they would not have the venue available to us as early as we thought for our schedule. Based on understandings from pre-pandemic discussions. Because she knew the venue people and knew how to work with them she was able to fix an extremely stressful situation in a very short amount of time. Wedding week/day 1. Great communications 2. Great organizations Things ran so smoothly the day of our ceremony that we actually ran a little faster than we anticipated so we were able to have longer time dancing with friends and family at the end of the night. Mita was highly recommended to me and my fiancé, Sandal, for our engagement party last summer, and 9 months later we are still thanking our friend for his recommendation. Would not recommend Mita to anyone.. very unreliable! I set up a phone consultation.. she no-called, no-showed. I wanted to give her a benefit of the doubt so we set another appointment.. she seemed great. I set up another consultation with my parents and her.. cancels the day of because she (claimed) she wasn't feeling well. I responded to her and said "oh no. Hope you feel better soon! ** Had to update because apparently, it was second hand information, and yelp removed my review** Mita was not a pleasure to work with. In my opinion, the complete definition of unprofessionalism. Planning my sister's wedding, I had contacted Mita to discuss arrangements for the wedding. After about three face-to-face meetings, Mita suddenly stopped responding to my calls. As a job that requires customer service, I feel it should be your responsibility to at least let the party know you will be unable to work with them , instead of hiding away last minute... To add on, I had also contacted Mita a few times by sending e-mails and leaving voice messages( at one point I was worried for her, I was thinking something may have happened to her) , however she did not reply. I visited the Vivah Lounge shortly after to see if I can make other arrangements, where one of the employees called Mita on their phone, and Mita answered their call. However, whenever I would call using my cell phone, she would not answer. I think we can all agree wedding plans do not happen over-night, but due to Mita's unprofessionalism, I was forced to make last minute arrangements myself. In my case, we did not have a tight budget, as paying customers, we were willing to work with Mita. I just did not appreciate the fact that Mita cut connections without any notice. I definitely do not recommend anyone who does not provide decent service let alone any service. read more

As this event had time constraints she was there on time, setup and ready by the time the guests arrived and also was done packing up in the given time frame. Planning a wedding can become a full time job. You have to carefully plan every detail to make sure that everything goes smoothly. I Loved spending time talking about weddings with her. I had already planned the major parts of my wedding like venues, catering, clothing, and invitations. Mita helped piece the rest together. This review is way long overdue! I got married last year at treasure island in San Francisco and Mita and her entire team were absolutely fantastic!! She had not done a wedding there before so she did several walk throughs with me and the venue team. She actually stayed at a hotel on the island the day before so she could get up at crack of dawn on my wedding day! I mean who does that?! Mita does!!! I am pretty OCD and had specific ideas for my wedding day and wedding week. Mita helped me really organize those ideas and play them out flawlessly my wedding week. Last minute changes due to rain notwithstanding, she made our most special day absolutely magical. Mita is super nice, easy to work with, and has absolutely gorgeous wedding rentals!!! She worked with our budget and our vision, and created exactly what we wanted! All of the other event vendors asked for her information; they all said they'd never seen anything like it. Ours was a Middle-Eastern Nights themed event, and it was just gorgeous, thanks to Mita! If you're having an Indian, Moroccan, Arabian, or other near or far east event, you won't find better than Mita for your chairs, tables, linens, and decor. She has traditional rentals as well. I would use her again in a heartbeat. The only let-down, which is why this review is 4 instead of 5 stars, was that her lighting went out of order the night before the event, and the replacement lighting she arranged for us (more expensive, and she did not ask us to pay the difference) did not have the same effect as the original lighting plan. As a result, the dance floor was too dark, so lighting was an issue throughout the night. But that was a fluke; without that she would have gotten 5 stars. My sister had hired Mita to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of her wedding. She shows up with 2 of her associates and literally does NOTHING. She stood in the bad the entire time taking up space. I was incredibly disappointed considering the fact that I thought she was hired to ensure everything was on key, but was instead taking pictures of the venue that she had nothing to do with to try to use on her website!! Since it was a weekend package she was hired to come for the day of the reception as well. She was supposed to arrive at 11:00 am but showed up at 12:00 pm. People have hiccups and run a little late so I understand....but THEN she comes up to me asking what needs to be done! She was supposed to be the wedding coordinator, how does she not know what needs to be done?! As a coordinator aren't you supposed to be in contact with the bride to see exactly what she's looking for? She then complains that i'm being rude and don't need to talk to her in a tone and threatens to leave. So I call up my sister and explain what was going on and how she wasn't doing anything, so my sister told her that her services were no longer needed. After that she says that she takes back everything she said and it was said out of anger and she says she will still come to the reception to fulfill her contract. Considering everything was already done prior to the reception, and based off of the performance at the wedding, my sister decided it would be best if she refunded the money and went on her way. Based on her performance of professionalism, organization and lack of responsibility, I would definitely reconsider having Mita as a coordinator. read more

Our wedding was on 1/14/12 and we hired Mita to be our wedding coordinator. Right from the beginning my husband and I connected with her. We described to her our wedding vision and she got it right away. She designed our table decor, centerpiece, backdrop, and sweetheart table. Our budget was limited and Mita worked hard to help us stay on budget. She proactively contacted vendors to get the best pricing and came up with creative ideas. She saved us from a lot of fights about things that came with wedding stress. Mita was very hands on and available to her brides at all times. She was quick to respond to emails, calls, or texts. On the day of our wedding she was 7 months pregnant, but she kept a tight ship. Everything went smoothly and her team was quick to react. Although it wasn't a mandap that Mita had created before, she went above and beyond to gather all the materials, check in with me, and even did a trail before the actual day. Knowing my tight budget, she even through in some extra enhancements to the mandap on her own cost. I could tell that she truly wanted to make my vision a reality and she really listened to my feedback and desires. Out of all my vendors, she was the easiest to get a hold of and was easy to access via email and even phone text day or night. On the day of the event, she was the first vendor to show up (on time) and stayed throughout the ceremony to make sure all went well. She has a great reputation and relationship with other wedding vendors and is always willing to help wherever she can.
