Mita was accessible and in constant communication with us, providing experienced guidance throughout the month of the wedding, as well as long before and after the big day. Mita, Sajid, and Pawan were an all-star team for our wedding day coordination. Sajid fixed the 'gajra' floral hairpiece in my (bride) hair before the ceremony and stayed with me during the baraat and up until I walked down the aisle. He even impressively draped my wedding reception saree for me! Mita was a great source of support for us throughout the planning process, especially when dealing with some of our more difficult vendors. We could fully trust that the day was in capable hands once we passed the baton to her team to manage our prior months' worth of planning. Month-of coordination is a suitable option for couples who want to be heavily involved in the details of planning the majority of their own event and only need to hand-off management and execution of day-of logistics to a professional. Mita Events was 100% worth the money to have our wedding day flow without a hitch. If we were to go back in time, we would re-hire Mita's team not just as our coordinator, but as our full event planner. read more

This review is long overdue! We got married in 2019 and from the moment My husband proposed to me We knew we wanted to hire Mita for our wedding decor. She was very easy to work with and was able to get whatever I wanted together as well as follow any detail/ color coordination request I had. I highly recommend her! read more

Mita was amazing to work with for our wedding in April this year. We took the month of coordination option and she was great. Even before the month of, I had trouble connecting with our makeup artist who wasn't replying for the trial set up despite being already booked. Mita stepped in and reached out to her, following up several times and saving us a lot of trouble. During the week before wedding, we learned that it would rain and we would have to switch our ceremony to being indoors. Mita worked overtime, going back and forth with all our vendors to reorganize everything for us. I highly recommend her!! read more

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude even writing this review because I'm thinking back to my wedding event and what a huge role Mita played in making it possible. It's so easy to envision your perfect dream wedding but to execute it is a whole other task! Mita stood by our side while we navigated our way through planning a wedding in the middle of covid. We had to make a major change of postponing our wedding and she was there for it all, always keeping our spirits up by reminding us that it's still going to be possible. We picked our dream venue in central CA--not a popular destination for Indian weddings. So after picking this venue and putting down our deposit etc. I found Mita to help me plan my wedding. As we began to gather the rest of the vendors, we came to know that planning an Indian wedding in a not so Indian populated city was not going to be easy! With meetings on meetings on meetings we were somehow able to make it possible and it could not have been done without Mita's expertise. She was able to tackle all the hurdles that came our way. It was very easy to communicate with Mita, she was very responsive and easy to talk to via phone/text. It really felt like working with someone that I've known for so long. She also has connections to some great vendors! We also used Mita for her Decor and my family was in awe after seeing how she decorated our venue for Sangeet, wedding and reception. I can go on and on about Mita, but over all I am extremely grateful that I chose Mita to plan one of the biggest events of my life! read more

You don't understand how insane I would have gone if Mita hadn't been there on our wedding day. She also joined the wedding planning for the last few months which helped organize us and helped deal with some last minute vendor complications. Pre-wedding planning pros: 1. She helped provide vendors that she trusted and I trusted her network. 2. She tries her best to make herself available and you her focus. 3. Her professionalism and friendliness is extremely valuable. ex. A venue caused some confusion that they would not have the venue available to us as early as we thought for our schedule. Based on understandings from pre-pandemic discussions. Because she knew the venue people and knew how to work with them she was able to fix an extremely stressful situation in a very short amount of time. Wedding week/day 1. Great communications 2. Great organizations Things ran so smoothly the day of our ceremony that we actually ran a little faster than we anticipated so we were able to have longer time dancing with friends and family at the end of the night. I could not thank her enough for being a great support system. Highly recommended. read more

Mita's professionalism, creativity and mastery of the craft are readily apparent at the first glimpse of her work. Mita was highly recommended to me and my fiancé, Sandal, for our engagement party last summer, and 9 months later we are still thanking our friend for his recommendation. The beautiful ambiance that Mita created in our reception hall exceeded what we had even envisioned for our party. We received the most compliments for the decoration during our party. Mita is very easy to work with and she really took the time to understand our needs and worked with us to make our dream a reality. In fact, Mita had a personal emergency she was dealing with and because of that we could never meet face to face but despite that we never felt her presence was lacking. Everything was delivered as promised (and we even had a few pleasant surprises) and her staff was equally as professional as her. Mita truly understands the conducive role the people in her line of work play in making their clients' events a success. Thank you Mita for being a big part of why our engagement party was a success! For those of you that are deciding whether to go with Mita for their event, I highly recommend checking out her Instagram page. Her photos are a true testament to her creativity and talent. read more

Walking into my reception felt like a dream; Mita added elegance to our wedding with her exceptional skills of back drop decor. Mita is highly recommend, she wants to know what you want to make sure you are satisfied with your outcome. In my case the expectation was exceeded and I was blessed to have had Mita's touch on my perfect wedding day. Thank you Mita!! read more

Would not recommend Mita to anyone.. very unreliable! I set up a phone consultation.. she no-called, no-showed. I wanted to give her a benefit of the doubt so we set another appointment.. she seemed great. I set up another consultation with my parents and her.. cancels the day of because she (claimed) she wasn't feeling well. I responded to her and said "oh no. Hope you feel better soon! Let me know when we can reschedule." She never reached back out. Glad I didn't get into business with her! read more

Mita is AMAZING! She is a dream to work with, always striving to accomplish everything you have asked of her (within reason of course). She is such a genuinely nice human being, she is a treat to work with while planning any event. We recently utilized her awesome talents for my wedding week back in June and I couldn't be happier with the results! Everyone was in awe when they entered our reception! She and her team also did an amazing job decorating my parent's house for the wedding festivities. She was always easy to get a hold of and always recommended things according to our budget. Mita can take any idea and turn it into reality. She is the only event planner I have worked with, but she is the best wedding decorator I have seen out there! Please to not hesitate to contact her and include her in your wedding plan. Thank you, Mita, for your awesome work!!! read more

Mita did the decorations for a wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Milpitas, coming in at the last minute (after another set of arrangements fell through) and yet putting together a reasonable package. The decorations were much appreciated by all the guests read more

** Had to update because apparently, it was second hand information, and yelp removed my review** Mita was not a pleasure to work with. In my opinion, the complete definition of unprofessionalism. Planning my sister's wedding, I had contacted Mita to discuss arrangements for the wedding. After about three face-to-face meetings, Mita suddenly stopped responding to my calls. As a job that requires customer service, I feel it should be your responsibility to at least let the party know you will be unable to work with them , instead of hiding away last minute... To add on, I had also contacted Mita a few times by sending e-mails and leaving voice messages( at one point I was worried for her, I was thinking something may have happened to her) , however she did not reply. I visited the Vivah Lounge shortly after to see if I can make other arrangements, where one of the employees called Mita on their phone, and Mita answered their call. However, whenever I would call using my cell phone, she would not answer. I think we can all agree wedding plans do not happen over-night, but due to Mita's unprofessionalism, I was forced to make last minute arrangements myself. In my case, we did not have a tight budget, as paying customers, we were willing to work with Mita. I just did not appreciate the fact that Mita cut connections without any notice. I definitely do not recommend anyone who does not provide decent service let alone any service. read more

We had Mita as our day of coordinator and decorator at our wedding last November. We were thoroughly impressed at her efficiency and coordination. She had great tips for managing the planning and how to decorate our venue. Once the wedding day came, she had everything under control and beautifully managed any mishaps that popped up. Her decor and flowers were also beautiful! She captured the ambiance we wanted to create and it was absolutely lovely! We would highly recommend her! read more

Mita was a pleasure to work with. I recently hired her for my husbands 50th birthday and she was on top of everything. As this event had time constraints she was there on time, setup and ready by the time the guests arrived and also was done packing up in the given time frame. There were a couple of minor hiccups while she was setting up but she handled them with ease. The hall looked beautiful and all the guest complemented on the wonderful decor. read more

A wonderful experience (with the occasional stress of course)! Mita was simply wonderful from start to the end; in the preparations and execution of our daughter's wedding, over independence weekend which had a guest count of 550+. Mita was a wonderful to work with, always cheerful and available throughout the very complex planning process, as it involved two venues. On the 'day of", Mita and her team tirelessly and seamlessly worked to ensure that the event went without a hitch.....which it did. Instead of writing a long review, I would advise that one looks at the photos of our event (and others done by her).....we asked her for the 'wow factor'...and that's what she delivered. Thanks Mita! read more

Mita... thank you so much. Before it gets too late, let me give my 5 stars for the wonderful decor mita had put up both on my wedding and reception days. She is very prompt in replies, great at suggesting and works with you to get things done within your budget. Thank you for the wonderful decor both in Livermore temple, family and friends just loved it. read more

We hired Mita as our month-of coordinator. Since the beginning, Mita has approached all of our conversations with a very positive energy and can-do attitude. We called her a few times to ask for her insight while selecting vendors and she helped to point us in the right direction. The month before the wedding, she took full charge of tying up loose ends, particularly with our decorator. We still hadn't finalized our reception colors, and Mita was able to work with our decorator on our behalf to figure out something that worked. On the day of, Mita did everything in her power to make sure that our timelines went as planned. We had several unique touches to our wedding and she made sure that our vision was executed beautifully. Mita has been such a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her to all couples. read more

Mita was a doll to work with! I researched quite a few decorators before deciding to hire Mita for my July 2013 wedding events. She had great ideas and a lot of patience for my indecisive mind. I had a vision into head of what I wanted but had a hard time finding pictures to show her to reflect exactly what I was thinking. After much deliberation and going back and forth plenty, Mita created beautiful atmospheres at my Sangeet, Wedding and Reception! I felt astonished walking in and seeing what she had transformed the rooms into! Best of all, Mita's pricing is so very affordable! She is very understanding of the pressures of planning a wedding and the cost that comes with it, and works with you accordingly. She is so warm and kind, that even when it seems that things are getting overwhelming, she is able to calm you down. I am very pleased that we decided to go with Mita and look forward to working with her in the future! read more

Planning a wedding can become a full time job. You have to carefully plan every detail to make sure that everything goes smoothly. I have a huge family and wanted to make sure that my wedding went smoothly. Which meant having a coordinator who could ensure that everything goes as planned. I met Mita at a local bridal show and knew that she was someone that I wanted to be part of our special day. When I met Mita she was setting up her Vivah Lounge location. I Loved spending time talking about weddings with her. I had already planned the major parts of my wedding like venues, catering, clothing, and invitations. Mita helped piece the rest together. She had great ideas that she would share with me. Even sending me pictures at late hours of the night that I would love seeing when I got up in the morning. My husband and I wanted our mandap set up to be different. We had envisioned a circular mandap with a 360 degree view for all our guests. Mita made it happen and it looked perfect. Her decor was amazing and she took the time to make sure all the details were as planned. I hired Mita for partial planning and she delivered. She did both decor for my sangeet at the Sunol country club and our April 6, 2013 Wedding at Casa Real. At both events she helped make my vision come to life. Mita and her team also came to my home and did some decor. She worked well with both my venues as my day of coordinator for both events. When I walked into both venues I was glad that I had hired Mita and her team because she transformed both rooms into something magical for both our families and friends. Having Mita be a part of our wedding made sure that our parents were not running around having to take care of small details. She did an amazing job and has been a joy to get to know as well. To all those potential brides looking for someone who will add those personal touches and make sure your wedding is perfect I recommend Mita Productions. Happy Wedding Planning! read more

This review is way long overdue! I got married last year at treasure island in San Francisco and Mita and her entire team were absolutely fantastic!! She had not done a wedding there before so she did several walk throughs with me and the venue team. She actually stayed at a hotel on the island the day before so she could get up at crack of dawn on my wedding day! I mean who does that?! Mita does!!! I am pretty OCD and had specific ideas for my wedding day and wedding week. Mita helped me really organize those ideas and play them out flawlessly my wedding week. I had hired her as my wedding coordinator and decorator both. She was always available to answer my questions via person/texts or calls! She did an amazing job and made my life as well as my parents lives stress free! The fact that my parents and immediate family members were able to actually enjoy my wedding day is all because of mita's coordination skills :)))) I definitely recommend Mita without hesitation! Wedding planning can be very stressful but be assured that with Mita's coordination and decoration team you will be in good hands! read more

Mita was so much fun to work with! She was our coordinator and decorator for our wedding in Napa and it simply wouldn't have been possible without her. Last minute changes due to rain notwithstanding, she made our most special day absolutely magical. She and her team were always there when we needed them, which was not easy considering that we were planning our wedding from more than 3,000 miles away. Mita was very understanding of our needs and came up with creative solutions to make our visions reality. As stressed out as we were when the wedding day came, we knew that Mita and her team would be right there when we needed them. 6 months later, our guests are still talking about how it was one of the best weddings they've ever been too. If we went back and did it all over again, we would make sure Mita was right there with us! read more

Mita of Mita Events is professional, prompt with responses and absolutely a pleasure to work with. I was the coordinator for a large non-profit fundraiser and she provided a beautiful backdrop for the event. As a wedding/event planner and coordinator, I value Mita's professionalism. Thank you! read more

I don't usually write yelp reviews, but I HAD to write one for Mita. From start to finish, we had such a wonderful experience with Mita. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, and didn't do a great job of explaining, however, Mita totally understood what we were looking for and went above and beyond to deliver. We were overjoyed by how beautiful our wedding venue looked. She was very responsive, accommodated all our little requests, worked to help us get what we wanted within our budget, and didn't contact us multiple times with questions (like other vendors). I recommend Mita 100%. You will love her. We will definitely be reaching out to her for our next event. Thank you, Mita :) read more

Mita is absolutely the best wedding coordinator/decorator you will find!! We met with a lot of vendors before deciding to go with Mita and her genuine nature and professionalism definitely won us over. Mita did our Engagement Party in March and she did an outstanding job! Everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful the decor was and how smooth the event was. Mita always answers our endless questions/concerns and always puts us at ease when we are worried about anything. We have booked her for all our 4 days of wedding events and we are so excited to work with her! She always listens to our ideas and gives her honest opinion which is a quality that is very valuable in any good vendor. Mita is super nice, easy to work with, and has absolutely gorgeous wedding rentals!!! She worked with our budget and our vision, and created exactly what we wanted! All of the other event vendors asked for her information; they all said they'd never seen anything like it. Ours was a Middle-Eastern Nights themed event, and it was just gorgeous, thanks to Mita! If you're having an Indian, Moroccan, Arabian, or other near or far east event, you won't find better than Mita for your chairs, tables, linens, and decor. She has traditional rentals as well. I would use her again in a heartbeat. The only let-down, which is why this review is 4 instead of 5 stars, was that her lighting went out of order the night before the event, and the replacement lighting she arranged for us (more expensive, and she did not ask us to pay the difference) did not have the same effect as the original lighting plan. As a result, the dance floor was too dark, so lighting was an issue throughout the night. But that was a fluke; without that she would have gotten 5 stars. Use Mita Productions and you'll be so happy you did. All the guests were blown away, and all of our dreams were made reality. read more

My sister had hired Mita to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of her wedding. She shows up with 2 of her associates and literally does NOTHING. She stood in the bad the entire time taking up space. I was incredibly disappointed considering the fact that I thought she was hired to ensure everything was on key, but was instead taking pictures of the venue that she had nothing to do with to try to use on her website!! Since it was a weekend package she was hired to come for the day of the reception as well. She was supposed to arrive at 11:00 am but showed up at 12:00 pm. People have hiccups and run a little late so I understand....but THEN she comes up to me asking what needs to be done! She was supposed to be the wedding coordinator, how does she not know what needs to be done?! As a coordinator aren't you supposed to be in contact with the bride to see exactly what she's looking for? She then complains that i'm being rude and don't need to talk to her in a tone and threatens to leave. So I call up my sister and explain what was going on and how she wasn't doing anything, so my sister told her that her services were no longer needed. After that she says that she takes back everything she said and it was said out of anger and she says she will still come to the reception to fulfill her contract. Considering everything was already done prior to the reception, and based off of the performance at the wedding, my sister decided it would be best if she refunded the money and went on her way. Based on her performance of professionalism, organization and lack of responsibility, I would definitely reconsider having Mita as a coordinator. read more

Our wedding was on 1/14/12 and we hired Mita to be our wedding coordinator. Right from the beginning my husband and I connected with her. We described to her our wedding vision and she got it right away. She designed our table decor, centerpiece, backdrop, and sweetheart table. Our budget was limited and Mita worked hard to help us stay on budget. She proactively contacted vendors to get the best pricing and came up with creative ideas. She saved us from a lot of fights about things that came with wedding stress. Mita was very hands on and available to her brides at all times. She was quick to respond to emails, calls, or texts. On the day of our wedding she was 7 months pregnant, but she kept a tight ship. Everything went smoothly and her team was quick to react. We were carefree on our special day because we knew Mita's team were on top of things. Every bride-to-be should have a wedding coordinator like her. Mita and her team were wonderful and worth every cent. read more

Mita is a pleasure to work with. She recently helped me with my wedding July 2013. I had a certain vision in mind of a custom mandap and was on a tight budget. Although it wasn't a mandap that Mita had created before, she went above and beyond to gather all the materials, check in with me, and even did a trail before the actual day. Knowing my tight budget, she even through in some extra enhancements to the mandap on her own cost. I could tell that she truly wanted to make my vision a reality and she really listened to my feedback and desires. Out of all my vendors, she was the easiest to get a hold of and was easy to access via email and even phone text day or night. On the day of the event, she was the first vendor to show up (on time) and stayed throughout the ceremony to make sure all went well. She has a great reputation and relationship with other wedding vendors and is always willing to help wherever she can. I didn't need much help with decor (other than the mandap) but if I had, I would have asked Mita to do it! read more
