Called in and asked about service regarding a small change to a shirt. Got an answer and let them know I was on the way. I got there and they were closed up. It was before the closing time. Owners of shop don't realize what's going on when we called back. Wasted time coming out. Owner even suggested we are at the wrong place. Won't be coming back. Im sure the value may be good but two people yelling at me and telling me im at the wrong place while asking me if theres anyone there to help just tells me that the owners are disconnected from the operation they are running here. read more

It was my first time getting a dress altered and Park was very kind and helpful. She made me feel comfortable while we were fitting for my first alteration. Park also had some heels available to help with hemming my dress so that it wouldn't be too short with my heels. I came here after reading good reviews - my 2 experiences here were not good. I rarely write a bad review as I really care about the livelihood and success of small businesses, but I feel I need to warn others. She is extremely over priced. Charged me $70 to hem 2 pairs of size 27, straight leg blue jeans just a couple inches each. She was extremely unfriendly, rude and blatantly said that if I didn't like how they turned out, she would NOT fix them (I didn't even ask for this - she just rudely said it as she was writing up my ticket). Mrs. Park is excellent! I came in to get my gi uniform pants tailored she had it done within the end of the week! She even did a great double stitch on the pants to prevent wear and tear. The reason I was impressed at her work is that these are heavyweight martial arts uniform pants. Which means you need a very thick needle to pierce the very thick material and it takes skill to fix or hem. Very happy with the quality of work and price point. We've taken many items here and she has always done a good job and had the items ready when promised. Mostly used her for hemming, buttons, holes, and tapering pant legs to match the cut of a similar pair of pants. Never had her do any complicated fitting so can't speak to that. read more

I don't remember the lady's name who works here/owns the place, but she is excellent. After buying my wedding dress, I searched high and low for a reasonable rate for alterations. After a friend recommended Park's, I stopped in and gave it a try. It wasn't easy picking out someone to alter your wedding dress, especially when there are no reviews specifically for wedding dress alterations for Park's. She suggested a regular bustle for my dress rather than the french bustle Trudy's insisted I needed for this particular dress. She explained to me why the regular bustle would look better then showed me what she would do and how she would do it. She then fixed an area of my dress that I thought was sewn incorrectly. I'm so glad I did. It looked SO much better than when I first got it. ..... and, it was all done for one hell of a price. Park's also did the alterations on my mother's dress, and my husband's suit. Needless to say, we take all of our regular alterations here now. I think they are cash/check only. read more

I took my daughters' high school choir dress to have the length altered. Just a bit off the bottom. I was charged $40 ,cash or check only. My 17 year old wore the dress onstage for no more than 1 hour and the hem came out. Took it back for repair of the obviously inferior hem and she wanted to charge me another $10. Says it was my daughters fault. The $40 was outrageous in the first place. They do NOT stand behind their work. read more

GOWN ALTERATION AT IT'S FINEST! --- THE DEETS: - Purchased a beautiful gown for my aunt's 50th wedding anniversary - Needed the length altered - The gown was made from fine material that needed to be worked with by a professional - Needed it rushed as the event was that weekend - Dropped the dress off on a Wednesday - Check or Cash only (I believe) --- OVERALL: - Mrs. Park had my gown ready in time for my party. When getting alterations done, always bring the shoes and bra you plan to wear with the gown. The length was perfect for me when I received the gown. She rolled the hem just as how the dress was made. They obviously had the same color thread as my bright color dress. They have all the colors at their shop! She even had the gown steamed for me. I believe I paid $60 for the service. Well worth every penny. I sew and I knew what it takes to get the job done. She was working with delicate material and she needed to roll the hem. Not an easy task. She even asked me if needed to get the bust taken in and I should have taken her up on the offer at the time because I did have some issues in the bust area that evening. Lesson learned. When a seamstress makes a suggestion, you take it. They were using high-end industrial sewing machines (JUKI), so I knew they were the real deal. I'm glad I took up my cousin's suggestion to come here. I would definitely recommend this place for folks who are near to the area or whoever is willing to make the trip. #470 read more

I've started going to Park's this year, and have been very satisified with both the work and the price. All the jobs (maybe 4 different visits, with one or two pieces of clothing each time) have been alterations: take in a skirt, shorten some sleeves on a silk blouse, shorten pant hems, etc. Some of the skirts had strong graphic patterns, and the pattern still looked good after the seam was altered (I don't sew, but I'm betting that's not always easy). read more

Only once in all that time did I take 3 pair of pants to be hemmed someplace else because of a recommendation by a co-worker but every pair came back uneven so I'll never do that again.
