Best traditional wings in Columbus if you don't like wet wings. I have eaten here many times over the last 20 years. I get mine extra crispy mild and they come out perfect every time. They also have the best tasting blue cheese. They have raised their prices significantly over the years because I can remember when 10 wings were only $6.99 and now they are almost double that. The best appetizer is their potato skins. Always loaded with lots of cheese and bacon. Their service can be a little on the slow side, but the food is always hot and fresh. Nice place for wings and beer. Service has always been decent, decor about what you would expect of a wings and beer spot. The Good: The wings are a bit larger than the other places in town, Caribbean Burn is a nice combo of sweet and spicy (not really hot for a chili head). The beer list is impressive and fun to try new ones, I like Starapromen and Dragon Stout. The Average: Burgers, fries, rotisserie chicken. All OK. just nothing to crave. The Not So Great: We had grouper fingers that were more like breaded catfish jerky, not the moist meaty fish sticks we envisioned. Was in town for business and had been to B Merrell's once before. Overall it's a good place. I love the selection of beer, tried 3 different ones. Food is good, pub food. Had the Merrells burger. My Parents, my children and I like to eat here a least three times a year, mainly when the weather is nice and we can sit outside. I love the chicken wings and taste testing a new and unusual beer from some exotic foreign country. My first visit to BMerrells and I am totally unimpressed! The service was almost nonexistent - I had finished my water long before the meal arrived and had no one to offer to fill my glass. I almost went to the bar to get refill. I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the rotisserie chicken salad. I think I should have gotten the salad myself! The broccoli was raw (I am ok eating raw veggies, but I expect that when they advertise steamed broccoli I would get steamed broccoli - not raw). The salmon was over cooked and had bones. The rice pilaf was not good at all; with each bit I felt as though I was trying to chew pebbles - I spit it out in a napkin. The manager came over and I mentioned to her the issue, she acknowledge they had others complain about the rice. But did she offer any kind of rebate or to take the meal off the bill - no. Coming from a NYer, the wings were really good. I enjoyed the flavor and heat. However, $1.08 per wing (in the 30 count special), they darn well better be large wings; these surely were not. Horrible, one star rating. It took ur 40 minutes just for a burger, soup and some chicken fingers. The rolls were AWFUL. The chicken fingers were pretty good though. The drinks were watery/sour. The crayons weren't even high quality! Why can't they give us crayola crayons. Tbh, I'd rather go to McDonalds and that would've been faster. The floor was all dirty and the place smelled horrific, too. And the employees were very dumb, it took 23 minutes in counting to get some beer and a straw for my dad and his girlfriend! Another thing they did was compliment my dad's girlfriends hair for tips, they didn't even have the race on the T.V! All in All this was a horrible place and I'd never go there again. read more

We've been here twice while in town visiting. LOVE it! Great comfort food, served fast at a very reasonable price. I got the steak and cheese sandwich (cheesesteak) both times. It's the best I've ever had. It's served so hot it nearly burned my mouth. Not sure I've ever had food served that hot. Steak fries are great, wings are tasty. OK for a sports bar but the food was average at best. Vegetable casserole was mostly bread, with a slice of cheese food melted on top. roasted chicken was unseasoned. Waitress was friendly. Patio is a great place to sit when weather permits. However, the patio furniture is terrible. Tables are so uneven and you can't eat without it rocking and rolling. Chairs are not much better. Spring for some new patio furniture, let me know when you do and I'll be back. read more
