Tip: Make reservations or explore first come first serve seating at the bar I had dinner with a friend at BlueStone on a Friday evening during the holiday season of dinner gatherings. My friend made reservations which was a plus because the wait was pretty long. I overheard folks asking (i.e. 90 minutes for a party of 2). The entire restaurant was decked out with holiday decor. The staff was welcoming and checked us in quickly. We sat upstairs where there are two private rooms and a few open tables overlooking the restaurant below. It was a nice little area. Now to the food! We tried the bang bang shrimp and the Winter White Cosmo to kick off our evening. The shrimps was good. The cosmo was even better. The shrimp had a good kick of spice to it, more than I expected. The cosmo seemed to have the right amount of alcohol. We got there at 7 so we didn't make Happy Hour, however the menu seemed to be full of specials. I got the Wagyu Bolognese that was amazing. It had rigatoni pasta cooked al dente with parmesan and chives. It paired well with the complimentary bread. Yes, you get fresh bread and butter while you wait for your meal. My friend got the Beef Short Rib that she kindly let me try. The braised short ribs were tender and juicy. It was paired with mashed potatoes, mushrooms and onions. Overall the food was great. We had a good time catching up and enjoying our meal. The staff provided good service. We enjoyed our meal and conversation so much we didn't realize the time had flown by. Be basically shut the restaurant down (it was 10:45) and they didn't rush us to leave. I have been to Bluestone many times and have never been disappointed until this visit. I ordered the Seaside Street Corn. The shrimp and scallops were good, however the corn actually tasted like canned creamed corn. The corn may have been slightly better had it been charred. Additionally, the online dessert menu listed a lemon blueberry cheesecake but the menu in the restaurant didn't have it which was disappointing. We did have great service though. read more

The are a lot of options on the menu and it's so hard to pick! It was three of us and we arrived during happy hour and I was surprised to learn that happy hour was also in the dinning room and not just the bar. So we opted to split a few appetizers so we could try more than one dish. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, bang bang shrimp, and friend avocado. I really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the shrimp. The avocado was ok, the inside was still cold, but my friend really enjoyed that one. Then all three of us ordered soups. Two of us with French onion and one got the mix of cream of cram and Maryland crab. At first I was excited about my soup but then after trying to eat it, I was wondering why there were so many onions. It was making me a little sick tbh. So I asked my friend what her looked like. She had a normal amount of onions in hers. So I asked the server for more broth and showed her the soup. She said that was definitely not normal. I ended up taking about a 2 inch pile of onions out and adding the broth in. I still had a good amount of onions left. I've never seen anything like that. Definitely something missed in the kitchen. However the flavor was good, I just couldn't finish it after eating the equivalent of a whole onion in my soup. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and do want to come back to try different things. I know restaurants have some off days and it's not going to stop me from trying again. Our service was good and even with a little mishap, everything tasted delicious. read more

Was there for dinner with 3 friends. Unfortunately, the service was not very good. Two of us were excited to get the chicken and avocado salad, i.e., Cobb salad. It was brought out on dinner plates, so you couldn't mix the salad without most of it going on the table. Please, serve the salad in a large bowl. Also, the crab fried rice was horrible. I don't know what it is about this establishment, but the one thing that is consistent here is the lack of good service. I have been sat twice in the back "terrace" style area and have received the same poor service on both occasions. Several MONTHS apart. Was able to walk in without a reservation and be seated. To only be seated for 15 minutes before I had to ask a random server where our waiter was noting how a table across from us was getting waters etc before us and were seated AFTER us. The waiter then comes more than 5 mins later and says sorry ! do you want something to drink? And goes away for another 15+ minutes to return with drinks and never asked about whether or not we had questions about the menu or are ready to put in food (considering we've been here long enough to know the menu front and back). Throughout our time here other individuals brought out food etc and we were never checked on unless we had to go out our way to ask for refills etc. What appeared to be a manager and other staff from the front host stand were pretty focused on getting tables together for a party that was coming. We watched our waiter pour waters on that table 15-20 mins prior to their arrival which is interesting considering we had the complete opposite experience. Poor service from waiter staff. We arrived on a Friday afternoon at 3 pm. We ordered appetizers and a main entree. After finishing our appetizers we waited an incredibly long time for our entrees. A wonderful setting to celebrate a 78th birthday lunch. From the initial email and phone contact to our departure was nothing but excellence. Raquel and Lauren responded quickly to questions and got us set for our personalized menu, private room in The Board Room and was pleasant throughout. They were flexible when I needed to confirm the final count (an increase of only 2) on the day before. The food was delicious! I ordered the garden salad and Firecracker Salmon and rice. Our meals came fast so I shifted my salad to my plate. The salad was fresh and ingredients crisp. I loved the rice and the salmon had a nice glaze. It could've spicier. A guest sitting near to me enjoyed the Vegetable Stir Fry and said it tasted great and seasoned well. Most guests had the salmon or crab cake. My niece enjoyed her crab cake. Nick, our server, provided exceptional service. He was always available, getting exercise going up and down the stairs, to provide everything that was needed or requested. He kept beverage glasses filled. He cut the cakes for the guests. He also packed up leftovers requested by any guests and put the remaining cake in their boxes. Kudos Nick! Been to this restaurant a lot over the years. I usually sit at the bar. Tonight we got a table, sigh. Alex our server, was a little snarky. Dude,you are not doing me a favor, waiting on me, its your job. Eat some humble pie. My Ceasar salad had no flavor. Little dressing. I ate the croutons. My crabcake tasted fishy and my rice was cold. I wrapped up my plate, but my salad wasn't eaten i took one bite of the crabcake. He didnt even ask if I liked it or was there something wrong. I put cash and credit card with the bill. I meant to put some towards his tip and some towards the bill. I got distracted, he didnt ask and assumed that the cash was solely for his tip. Pretty nice tip for attitude and arrogance. Impeccable as always....a premier dining experience, great service, excellent food, moderate pricing...we three enjoyed lunch with appetizers, soup, entrees, generous tip at $100, and WORTH every penny. Recently went to BlueStone to celebrate a family member's birthday. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our 6:15pm reservation on a Thursday evening. Once 6:15pm came, our table still wasn't ready. The hostess stand was occupied by 3 young women but the main individual was, unfortunately, the least pleasant. They explained that there was a party for 100 guests happening upstairs at the restaurant. I'm not sure why this information is relevant for other guests. Perhaps don't allow others to make reservations if the staff will be overwhelmed by a large holiday party? We were eventually seated at a tiny table, that shouldn't have been a table. We were going to deal with it for the sake of avoiding another delay but a waiter who came by asked if we were comfortable and swapped us to someone else's section. He was the star of the day. From there, we ordered and enjoyed a nice meal but the initial impression unfortunately soured my experience of the establishment. My relative enjoyed the lamb shank and crab fried rice. I preferred the 5 ounce crab cake that I added to my meal over the actual entree of branzino itself. Neither of us enjoyed the Brussels sprouts (too much going on between the added bacon, cheese, etc.). I've had better meals in nicer places so this will likely be a one and done for me. read more

Visited BlueStone for lunch with my sister. Appreciated the large menu with a variety of seafood, salads, and sandwiches. Didn't realize how large this restaurant was from the outside, but the inside is huge with plenty of seating. Attentive & friendly service. Both my sister and I were impressed with our salads. Steak Salad with ranch- this salad dressing was horseradish based, so my sister opted for ranch. Steak was cooked with nice char marks. The crispy onions added a nice crunch. Chicken & Avocado Salad- loved how fresh and light this salad was. The lemon-Dijon vinaigrette paired nicely with everything. Juicy grilled chicken on top. I would recommend visiting BlueStone for lunch, great salads! I'd be interested coming back and trying some of their seafood. read more

I dined with a few friends in the bar area on Friday around 4p. The apps were huge and so good. We ordered too much. The calamari is fabulous. We also ordered the capresse flatbread and the crab and spinach dip. SO DAMN GOOD!! The highlight was the amazing dirty martini! Our bartender poured the drink at our table. Our waiter was sweet, he stayed on top of topping off our water and referring us to specialty cocktails. I tried the Salted Caramel Martini, Yummy!!!! A huge fan of beef short ribs and it was knocked out of the park, w/gravy and mashed potatoes. Truly comfort food! The crab rice is also 10/10! We started our dinner with lovely hard crust rolls with soft and tasty butter. Looking forward to a delicious meal. My appetizer was Fried Green Tomatoes that fell flat. Green tomatoes floured fried with some lack luster lump crab pieces. My entree the Ocean and Sea was more than a disappointment. A crab cake made from subpar crab, 2 overcooked scallops, and again 3 subpar overcooked shrimp. My husband had cream of crab soup missing the crab and tasteless, then onto his entree the stuffed flounder that was more tasteless. At this point we passed on the dessert menu. I'm embarrassed we paid for such a disaster in celebrating our 38 anniversary. I have always been a fan of this restaurant for years, now I know why it was empty on this particular Fridays night. I will not take my friends or return again. On to Vito's for an exceptional dinning experience. Nonetheless where my $ are returned with excellence. The equates to -0. My husband and I went here for a nice date night/special occasion on the way up to PA. The vibes were nice for a Sunday night dinner, service was good and they honored my reservation no issue. They were probably the highlight of the night. We thought we were in for a treat, but then came the entree... I ordered the Ocean and Gulf which was an assortment of seafood with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The seafood was not memorable and kind of bland, overloaded with decorative parsley. The roasted potatoes were so overcooked and hard to chew. Asparagus was nothing to write home about. My husband ordered the seafood diavolo (which I thought usually comes with a red sauce, no?). This pasta was a garlic cream sauce base... which we quickly realized was made using the exact same sauce on the Ocean and Gulf. Lazy. The dessert was also kind of middling. The crème brûlée wasn't fired correctly, there was sugar still unmelted on top. Not crispy at all. My husband said the chocolate mousse was just ok. Celebrated Mom's 100th Birthday last weekend with a private dinner for 35 family members. The food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers (especially the calamari and chicken canapes) to the entree of crab cake and tenderloin to the desserts of key lime pie tart, red velvet cheesecake and dark chocolate mousse cup. Our group of four servers, led by Kayla, provided excellent service filling drink requests, slicing and boxing the birthday sheetcake and meeting everyone's needs. I booked a reservation here for my partner's birthday. We were running late so I called to let them know and they appreciated the heads up. The host staff were very nice and friendly and so were the 4 waiters we had. Per the suggestion of one of the wait staff, I went with the Mahi over the pasta and my partner went with the stuffed flounder. The Mahi was a little saltier than I liked but the rice was bland so it balanced out. My partner said the stuffed flounder was great. I requested the Birtnday sundae for our celebration and it was a little strange that they only sing on Sundays but that was okay. The other patrons in our area actually sang Happy Birthday which was a nice gesture. The website says they require business casual attire but there were definitely people there in hoodies. read more

Nice to spend an afternoon here for a luncheon for my grandmother. The food was great, well seasoned, tasty and the right temperature. The staff was friendly and served close to 100 of us. I first came here about 3 years ago and I recalled the food being delicious and the service top notch! I went back tonight with a much larger party and the food was better than I remembered. We participated in the restaurant week specials. The options were tiered based on the food but included a starter of soup or salad, entree and dessert. The portions are large for what you pay! I thought I'd get a small cup of soup but it was a large helping in a bowl. I also got the short rib and it was massive pieces of short rib on top of mashed potatoes. My boyfriend got the lobster roll and the flavor was fresh, citrusy and light. The desserts were delicious as well! Both crème brûlée & mousse were light and decadent. The service was good! The restaurant did get packed fast so the wait time in between took a while but since we had appetizers and drinks it kept us busy. Overall, a great restaurant, definitely recommend read more

Sufficient parking in a well lit area. Very nice decor to the restaurant. The host staff was welcoming and knew abt the party I was there to join. Sat at the tables in front of the bar. My party had already paid their bills, so I just ordered the crabcakes app and an old fashioned. The crabcakes were good along with the old fashioned but it seemed that the bartender didn't stir the drink, so the bitters stayed at the bottom of the glass. Tasted better once I stirred it up.
