I learned about Bluespan when I moved to a house that was off the beaten path - unable to get internet service at all - and a friend suggested I call them. I was so grateful and amazed that they were able to get me connected in the middle of nowhere and I ended up liking their service so much that I'm now on my 3rd contract with them from a different location. They've been great! My very first experience with Bluespan that really made them stand out: 1) A real person answered the phone! 2) They were willing to work around my schedule and made an appointment to come to my house pretty quickly. Not the usual 3 weeks out and "the technician will be there anytime between 8am - 5pm" that we've all been trained to expect (slash dread) from the bigger companies. And then they called me when they were on their way. :) 3) I had no idea what I needed as far as bandwidth and just guessed based on past contracts w/other companies but they seemed genuinely interested in helping me determine exactly what I needed. They asked me a ton of questions about all of my devices and usage and it turned out that I needed less bandwidth than I originally thought - which they were more than happy to fill me in on - that blew me away! Once the service was set up I never really had to think about it again - no issues or interruptions - just seamless! I live in the city now and so I have my choice of internet providers but Bluespan made moving my service so easy and actually pleasant (no call center robots or an automated nightmares) so I'll keep bringing them with me wherever I go. In our neighbourhood we're lucky to have 4 options for internet access. I didn't know that until recently. I've been putting up with low quality service from Comcast for almost 2-years thinking they were the best option. What a relief to discover Bluespan. I spoke with Kelton Wood last week and he answered all my questions with ease. He explained how their service works and why it's better than Simply Bits, CenturyLink, and Comcast(Xfinity). I have had this service for about three years and have had great service and availability. Occasionally, the speed will not get the advertised rate but that frankly that is too be expected on a shared service. It has never been a bad as Century Links DSL. The customer support has always been prompt and helpful. All problems are resolved by removing the power cord a few seconds. Very happy and want to up my speed. read more

I live in a bad spot for high speed internet. These folks have a system which gives you very good speeds, guaranteed and no overages! They installer came out, did his very best to get good signal, but unfortunately was not able to get good line of sight so I could not get on. However, the installer was really knowledgeable in what this company is doing to expand their coverages and I also got emailed & a call back from Chris, who explained to me EXACTLY what they were doing to expand SW Tucson. I am waiting for a new tower to be built basically 3 miles away and I know I will have 10Mbps speeds as soon as it is up! Bluespan's customer service is great! Bluespan wireless has the worst internet and horrible customer service. They signed me up for a 3 yr plan and then half way through it discontinued servicing customers in my area and didn't bother to tell me and wouldn't allow me to cancel. Scott says to call his office I did just that and was put on hold indefinitely. I even gave them my number to call back and still haven't recieved a call. Terrible customer service. This review is to speak purely on this company's customer service and sales, namely the representative, Greg. "This is a sales job like I've never had before" Greg told me. "The management really makes it a point to let us know that we have to dig deeper to see if Bluespan really is the best fit." I was flabbergasted after my 15ish minute conversation with Greg. I called because I wanted to check out a local option for my internet. I hung up knowing that when I can actually afford to go local with my internet, it will be with Bluespan! He took the time to check for service availability and asked me about how we use our internet and about what we have now. After all of this, he said something that I have not heard many times when I am speaking to a company that I called for potential services. "I have to be honest with you, and I don't think that Bluespan is going to be a good fit for you right now." I told him how amazing it was to hear a company really look at the potential customer as a whole instead of just seeing money signs. I told him I respect him and the company because that is what ethical companies do. This review is solely to tout Bluespan's fantastic customer service. We've been customers for a whopping 2 days, so I feel it's a bit early to talk about the internet service itself (although it's been working flawlessly!). Specifically I'd like to shout out to Greg and Theron. Greg was my first point of contact when I called Bluespan. It was such a relief to get a real person on the phone right away who spoke clear English! Our only other internet option at our semi-rural home is Hughes Net. He told me why Bluespan was a better option than Hughes Net which I already knew because I had Hughes net a few years prior in another state and hated it. He asked lots of questions to try to figure out what would be the best plan for us. He was honest and let me know that the cheapest plan was probably plenty of bandwidth for what we need. After our first conversation I told him I needed to talk to my husband, and that I would like to call back. He gave me his extension so I was able to reach him directly when I called back. He even offered me a $50 discount on installation for a special promotion they had just started. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Blue span is lucky to have him as an employee! Next I'd like to brag about Theron, the tech who did the installation. I warned Greg that we had a really tall roof. It was the first thing that Theron mentioned when he pulled up to the house but assured me that he'd find a way to get it done. I'm not kidding when I say his 28 foot ladder had only a few inches to spare but he confidently climbed on up and got the dish mounted. I offered for him to install it on our second story deck but he assured me that the roof would give us much better reception. When he ran the wire he even used the old hole in the house that the previous owner's cable went through. Super convenient! Theron was quick and efficient and super friendly and pleasant to have working in our home. He put up with my two dogs and came and went with a smile on his face. 1st...it really feels great to be free of the chains I had with Comcast. Then when I called, they specifically came out to my place to make sure they had adequate coverage. Because I live in a small valley, they were not sure I had line of site. They went all over my roof and found probably the only 3X3 foot area that they felt was good enough for the demand I put on them. Their customer service is awesome, great support, and all the technicians are very knowledgeable. It is like a no nonsense approach. You only need to pay for this. Not a lot of bells and whistles. Slow speeds, many weather related interruptions, high price compared to faster more reliable service. When we canceled service they charged $700 to a card that is not ours that we used once for a payment and never authorized them to retain to our account. It seems that they continue to survive as a business by gouging unhappy customers on their way out. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Poor customer service to boot. read more

I spoke with Luis a technician for Blue Span that was working on the Fiber lines outside. I asked him if he could upgrade me from my coax cable to fiber and immediately he contacted the office and I had an appointment to do a pre-install at my home the next Monday. Gavin, Dennis, and Jackson come out and started right away prepping the install. They were very nice and polite about anything I asked they were very helpful. They ran the wire nicely and asked where I would like the fiber box located on the side of the house rather than just guess. Luis followed up a bit later and hooked up the outside Fiber connection at the pole and they all stayed until about 6:00PM to finish the job. They were also nice enough to leave the existing coax cable as my wife is working from home and could not have her internet interrupted. Luis came back the next day as promised and removed the old coax cable and box on the house. Luis hooked up the new fiber and did some speed test , then helped my wife connect to the new router. I went from 15mb to 100mb and its working great. Thanks everyone for the great work. read more

I have had nothing but poor service in the last 3 months. I have had to call repeatedly and am getting no help. I am tired of being told they are working on it as it has this time been off and on for a week. I have been told that my service issues have been a high priority and it is still not up and running correctly after a week! I am a health care provider who has to have good service in order to be able to do my job and to serve the children ages 0-3 that I serve. this has just been a nightmare! Telehealth is hard enough with good service but with constant dropping and poor quality it has been ridiculous! I will be changing service and would not recommend this company. read more

I am a snowbird in Tucson and was looking for a short-term internet provider. Unfortunately Bluespan requires a year contract so we were not able to use them but I want to commend this company for their prompt response (less than an hour) to my on line inquiry. Greg called me back and was very friendly and polite and helpful in providing some alternative solutions. I called Cox internet over 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard back from them. Terrible service, i purchased the highest internet they offer and i cannot even watch my direct Tv and get through one Tv show without it buffering multiple times. First off...Bluespan needs to take some lessons from Dish Network in customer service. I just recently moved to KY from Tucson, AZ. Was locked into a 36 month contract. I asked if they service this area and I asked if I could transfer my service to the new homeowner to get out of the contract. They told me no and no. Not my problem they didn't service this area. Only was with Dish Network for a short amount of time and was in a two year contract. They offered to transfer our service for free to a new state. Unfortunately, Dish came out and couldn't find a signal. Had to cancel the contract with them as well. They didn't charge us a single dime for breaching the contract. They understand that thing's happen and sometimes people have to move for whatever reason. Bluespan charged me almost $3k for breaching the contract!!! I asked to speak with a manager to see if something could be worked out. Was transferred to manager's vm. Left a message and never heard anything back. Imagine that!! Never in my life have I experienced anything like this. Bluespan is completely unprofessional, uncooperative and uncaring. STAY CLEAR of this internet company and find one that is more compassionate. You can take your contract and the $3k you charged me Bluespan and shove it straight up your asses!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Service sporadically worked and broke for almost 3 years. Their technicians could never get it functioning correctly. The times it worked it was ok. More than half of the time it was useless though. In about 3 years they never offered a discount for it not working or to send a tech in person. They just restart it while on the phone and say if it isn't working in a couple days call us back. I have waited a year before writing a review on Bluespan Wireless. After year's with CenturyLink DSL out in Vail with a download of 1 mbps max, Bluespan came into our neighborhood. They offered 15 mbps at a reasonable price. We signed up and have never looked back. Customer service is great, download speed is exactly what is advertised and technical service is there 24/7 if needed. Bluespan SOUNDED like a good thing, and has excellent reviews. However, they were supposed to install in Mescal Monday, and cancelled because supposedly the storms knocked out some of their equipment. Then they didn't call back when they promised to. Now they say the soonest they can install is in two weeks. At most they should be a day or two behind schedule. This belies their advertising which claims they install within 24 hours, and have a 99.9% up-time record. At this stage, I'm concerned that all of their claims may be false, and that the reviews may be by shills. :-( read more

The best customer service I have had! It's really nice to see and use a company who is this passionate about what they do. They do whatever it takes to make a customer happy. I have had this service since spring of 2015 have not had any issues or service interruptions. Works great and I can't think of any reasons why I would go back to the big company's. The installers were super nice and knowledgeable and it didn't take them long to do the install. I would recommend anybody at least give them a shot for service. Icurrently have been paying for 3 months of their highest speed Internet which is 7 gigs not knowing my area was never eligible for their service to begin with. After paying transfer fees and having 2 technicians come out (which I was also charged for) and basically reboot my modem for it to last 3-4 days then cut off again. Before I canceled service and break a contract I was told by a free of charge technician that I was wasting my money because no one in my area has century link because we are way too far from the nearest tower and therefore there's nothing he can do that would better our internet service. I'm glad we finally were dealing with an honest person. A week later I called to cancel service and after being transferred 3 times and speaking to representatives with defensive attitudes I finally spoke to a supervisor who apparently was having a bad day, that I would have to pay 200$ to break contract and no refunds for previous months. He always spoke over me and very fast that I couldn't understand him and all I wanted was to cancel service. So he tells me my service is just fine and shows 7 gigs but as I looked at the modem, the " internet" light wasn't even on ha ha ha. Such liars I swear. I'm moving back to Cox where it may be a little more money but definitely worth the service and speed of Internet and I know I'll never have and problems with customer service as my other home in Vegas has Cox for 11 years read more

So I have been using Bluespan for about a year and overall, I would recommend the company. They do have intermittent issues which result in a week or so of limited functionality, but the staff is very responsive and tries to resolve the situation quickly. They could benefit from more towers to improve reception. I do have buffering delays now and then due to the distance from my house to the closest tower. Overall, I would use them again. read more

The few times I have had a problem, they have remedied it quickly over the phone, usually with just a single phone call. And that another big plus for Bluespan, first-class customer service. If you live in a very rural area like I do (Picture Rocks) and would like to have great WiFi, give Bluespan a call. The service is excellent! They won't sell you anything unless they are sure you can get service. We can now watch movies with no buffering, play games, listen to music on Alexa with no hassle and it's inexpensive. I am new to the Tucson area and thought I did my research on internet providers. I entered into a 12 mos satellite contract and it was the worse decision I've ever made. I work at home and was on the verge of losing my job because of the inefficient service I was being provided. I reached out to my neighbors on the block and found out that they had Bluespan. I have to admit I was very leary but decided to take a leap of faith and sign up, regardless of the contract I'm in, my job depended on it! A very professional tech, Andy came out and installed my service in less than an hour. Chris, Kelton and Ty have all been a tremendous support during the install appt process and payment option process as well. Their tech team had to make some changes at the local tower to add us onto the service, and they did it very quickly for us. This is the best decision I've ever made and encourage everyone who reads this review to NOT buy into the BS that local satellite internet providers feed you. Bluespan service is the ONLY service for those of us with limited options or are just tired of horrible service. I have tried to give this service the benefit of the doubt over the past two years of horribly unreliable service and a multitude of tech support excuses. Now that I need them to be reliable as a means of making money while using a VoIP connection, I can no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. Service drops several times per day, the 10mb/sec claim comes with a whole lot of excuses when they don't deliver. Trust me. It's always the customer's fault. They have recently upgraded their lines and equipment and the service is never down. I pay for 10 MGPS and I get it and if not I make a call and the techs Micah and Brandon are most helpful and courteous in getting my speed back up to where it should be. If I could pick a negative star for this company I would! I am supposed to have guaranteed speed according to this company. And this past year has been nothing but yoyo trash internet speed! I call the company, and they give me the standard response when they do a speed test. "everything" looks great on our end. This company is run by a bunch of clowns! The speeds seem to work lukewarm at best during the day and severely dip in the evenings. The last guy that came to service was bright enough to realize our dish was never pointed to the nearest tower in our neighborhood. It had been pointed all the way to the Catalinas! All BW does is take my money, lock me into a contract...I pay 100.00 bucks for 15mb/s of garbage!!!!!! read more

Do not ever use this service. Their "salesman" Kelvin is entirely without ethics or morals in any form. He guaranteed service and installation after one tech checked for signal. When the install guy came we were informed no you " failed" testing so I'm just testing again. When informed of the signed contract and kelvins guarantee he seemed unsurprised at the deceptive business practice. When I confronted Kelvin over the phone for the lies and the damage he caused I got attitude and unconcern. So I say again do not use blue span and if you have them cancel your service. They will lie, cheat and steal without remorse. It would be great to see them investigated by the AG's office. Report their deception at every opportunity.
