This is the first time I needed a locksmith (lost storage room key) and Nick was very polite and professional. I checked quotes with four other places and Nick's prices were very reasonable (the second lowest of the four). I had read about scams and was a bit nervous, but my experience was great. I coordinated a time with Nick, and requested him to call me half an hour in advance and he did that. About $150 for unlocking and rekeying the commercial lock on the door - he also noted that usually such locks would cost more but since he had already given me a quote without realizing this was a more difficult lock, he kept his word. Nick was awesome. When I first called he tried to talk me through it for free over the phone in case it was an easy fix. He seemed surprised when I just wanted to hire him to come over and help us. Once he came he could tell we'd messed up our locks quite a bit having them rekeyed. We would have saved money if we had just hired him from the start. He was kind and didn't complain at all that we'd made the situation more difficult--just kept working until he undid the damage and put everything back together. So grateful he stuck with it to the end and charged us a very reasonable rate (I called around to lots of different places to find a good rate). The technician arrived on time, efficiently changed my locks (timely), was courteous and patient, cost was good. I made a mistake in my checkbook and am sorry to say my check bounced. He held onto my check and didn't send it through multiple times. He said he remembered that I was going on vacation so held onto it for me. Of course I called him when I returned and made the check right. This insistent could have cost me a lot more but because of his thoughtfulness it thankfully did not.
