I hired BlueHorse solutions back in 2018 to perform some wall mounting of my 65" Sony TV for me. They did a fantastic job on the wall mounting. I originally had some issues with Puls so I went on amazon and searched for TV Wall Mounting Service and amazon paired me up with BlueHorse. I was excited for this because I love giving small businesses my business. Fast forward to 2021. I called BlueHorse to do in-wall cord concealment for the TV they mounted in 2018. I didn't have this done in 2018 (kicking myself for that) because I live in an apartment and was concerned about putting large holes in the wall...come to find out, that's not a concern as it can all be patched. I felt that the price I was quoted for the in wall cord concealment was a little unreasonable but I went through with it anyway because they did great work in 2018 and sometimes you just have to pay for good service/quality. The workers, Travis (owner's son) and another employee showed up on time and they gave me a call when they were about 15-minutes out. Both workers were very nice and processional, however I was not happy with the work they did. They drilled the second 3-1/2" hole too high up and the cord concealment module sticks out above my entertainment center and you can see the cords coming out. I paid for in-wall cord concealment and you can still see the cords. I emailed Ronnie, the owner, about this and have not received a response. I'm wondering if the concealment module was placed 13" above the floor because of some sort of code so that's why I reached out to the owner and I didn't receive a response, which I find to be a little on the unprofessional side. I have given BlueHorse business...they mounted my mom's TV and sound bar a week prior to performing the work on my place and I expected a little bit better treatment. Sadly, I won't use them again and won't recommend them to anyone looking for TV wall mounting or cord concealment. read more

I was having some vexing wifi issues that affected my Sonos wireless speaker system. I got bids on Yelp and these guys responded super fast. I told them the problem and we set up a time. They were prompt and the two techs were able to get my mesh wifi system working via Ethernet. Checked everything out and did an excellent job. Sonos is a very finicky product especially with multiple rooms and speakers in a three story home. I'm most of the way through a tricky Residental job that Ron and his crew helped me with. Project covers running CAT8 through my home for permanent wifi AP installations and security cameras. First off, Ron is a solid human. Given my own hands-on experience with projects like this, he was easy to talk with about my crazy ideas and helped me finalize a plan to run cable and install devices. He understood my project, provided suggestions, asked questions and (after on site consultation) generated a quote that fell within what I'd expect for a job of this type. We also talked with ease about music and other interests that we shared. Next came the install crew of Andrew and Jesse who were knowledgeable and helped spec out the job estimate in detail, including length of cable runs, efficacy of signals along those runs and device compatibility. On day of installation, the crew showed up 15 min early (for an 8am start - who even does that anymore?) and for right into it, getting up into my crawl space, checking device installation locations for any last minute needs, etc. Something that would have been hard for any installer to catch before arriving was a size limitation on devices for passing RJ45 plugs to connect to device. Most would call this an oversight (and blame) but because of the obscure use of CAT8 in residential (it's mainly data centers), slight differences in CAT8 plug sizes and the housing dimensions in the devices I was installing were for CAT6 - we hit a snag. Given this was not my first rodeo, I wasn't too thrown by this (they don't call it bleeding edge for nothing) and Aron and team set out to find a solution, which they did quickly, obtaining new plugs that would fit the cramp spaces within the device housing. They also had solutions for how to mount external security cameras on stucco without damaging it and making sure there was something solid to attach things too. One of the trickiest parts of my job was obtaining some hard to secure devices (due to demand) but Ron was able to make it happen and for the key devices needed for the job on hand to complete a majority of the work. The crew was friendly, polite and easy to work with, letting me watch what they do (so I can learn) and answering my questions or listening to my terrible jokes about technology. One nitpick I have is the installation crew could have cleaned up _a little better_ before leaving. If you don't know, terminating network cables always leaves little snips of cable laying around, which is sometimes hard to see (especially when you've been up and down ladders or in a crawl space for hours). These little snips can be choking hazards for kids or ruin the tummy of your favorite pet. To clarify, it's not that the lads did not clean up at all, it's just that they could have been a little more thorough. I'm waiting for the final phase of this project to complete (a few devices are simply unobtainable at this time) but given we are 80% done, now is a great time to give Blue Horse Solutions a solid review. I will finalize review once project is complete but safe to say that Ron and Blue Horse can get your toughest projects done. Pro Tip: don't wait until summer to hire folks to get into your crawl space to run cable - call them now before the big heat arrives! read more

What an excellent company! I have a large house that's wired for an alarm system, so there's CAT V cable all over - but nothing in the panel that shows which cable goes to what room. I'd like to repurpose some of the jacks to run for computer networking, but without know what's what it's a pain - and doing all the walking back & forth between the panel & jacks makes it even less attractive. Absolutely AMAZING company! Honestly we went with them based off the reviews originally, and I was wary about it being too good to be true (lol) but they were amazing! Ron and Andrew are absolute pro's at what they do. I'm not a total slouch with computers, but they were honest and upfront about absolutely everything and were even able to find a replacement keyboard for a laptop I have, when Dell no longer makes the replacement keyboards. They installed it same day super quick. Ron's policy is they won't charge if they aren't able to get it fixed, and they did amazing and quick work. We wound up using them a second time less than a month later when my laptop decided to wipe its own operating system off (windows updates can be horrid) and Andrew came by and was able to fix it very quickly, despite the C drive being totally wiped. He was able to reinstall the OS and get all the work on it done and the laptop up and running again super easily!
